Significant increase in ethnic Majatran petitions for immigration from Wantuni

A Republican Guard commander arrives near the border to review recent increases in ethnic Majatran petitions for refugee status.
Kalopian-Kafuri border, Abi'nadi Governorate - Minister of the Interior Samir Sarkis announced that due to recent legislation in Kalopia, the border between Kalopia and Kafuristan in the Governorate of Abi'nadi has seen an increased number of ethnic Majatrans applying for asylum in Kafuristan. The situation has caused great concern for the Interior Ministry as it has dispatched large portions of the Central Security Directorate and the Public Security Directorate, the Ministry of Defense announced that it had provided direction for the Kafuri Border Forces in the region to increase their manning at the border. Prime Minister Baasim el-Salah condemned the actions of the Kalopian government for re-introducing segregation in education, allowed for racial discrimination against minorities in holding government posts and reminded the Kalopian government that there will be consequences for its actions, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Oil has confirmed that they have begun a "slow down" of oil shipments to the country in fear of a crisis growing in the nation. President al-Sadhi appeared at a session of the People's Council and discussed the importance of Majatran unity, notably in a time where Majatrans across the continent face issues. He cited the recent restoration of al-Sahil to its native culture after years of oppression and subjugation by Luthorian-speaking foreigners as the beginnings of a new future, he warned Wantuni, the Majatran name for Kalopia that it's actions could cause a regional crisis.
The Republic Guard Bureau of the Ba'athist Party confirmed that the Republican Guard had been dispatched to handle the crisis on the border and was "...watching closely..." according to Republican Guard Bureau officials. The Republican Guard has continued to play an increasingly important role in Kafuri national security since the return of the Ba'athist and have assisted in developing the Kafuri Strategic Forces as a "mini-Republican Guard" according to reports from within the military. A unnamed Republican Guard Bureau official noted that the Regional Command had recently authorized the creation of the National Security Bureau which will take over responsibility of coordinating the police, security and intelligence operations in Kafuristan, furthering its grip on Kafuri society.
