Jildrath's Railway is Complete

One of the railways that were being constructed is now finished. Specifically, the one in Jildrath. Although the rest still need to be finished, this is a great step. Jildrath was prioritised due to the fact that it borders Endralon. This railway will improve the trade between both of our nations, and make it a lot easier. We have heard that the Celania Railway is also close to completion, which would be great to the region that suffered the most in the war.

New weapons manufacturer company founded in Kundrati

With the civil war over, the government is now stabilising the country. One of the key places to do this is the military. The government founded the Kundrati Weapons Manufacturer (KWM) who will provide weapons to the entire military, rather than depending on imported weapons. The first weapon to be distributed to the army is the KWM EDCX9. This is now the official sidearm for the military. It has an 18 round magazine that uses 9mm ammunition. This is one of the first steps to making the national armed forces more professional.

National Railway System is Complete
June, 4794

After 3 and a half years of building, the National Railway System (NRS) is complete. Now that this system is complete trade will be a lot easier. The NRS has also created many permanent jobs for people to drive the trains and to give maintenance. These jobs will be given primarily to former soldiers to help them recover economically from the war. Now that the NRS is done, the government is focusing on building new highways and roads that go through the country. This is an effort to better connect the country.

The rebuilding of our nation after the civil war is also close to completion. After nearly 5 years of work, most of the cities are rebuilt and the countryside is being restored. A memorial has been erected in the city of Galemia. It is there to commemorate all who fought and died in the war. Analysts say that by the next election the country will be almost entirely rebuilt. After that is completed, the focus will be on the economy. We are currently very dependant on Endralon, and, although their help is much appreciated, we must be able to become independent from their aid. The Consul has announced that they will be working on a plan to boost our economy.

Iron vein found in Pilgon

When working on the rebuilding of our nation, some workers found something very unusual in a crater from an artillery shell. They saw what looked like hematite and called their supervisor who, in turn, called his. Geologists were brought in and it was confirmed, it was hematite. It appeared as if the explosion had revealed a hidden vein. Controlled dynamite explosions were set off in nearby regions, and at least 2 more veins were discovered. Now, there is a mining system currently being built, so the iron can be extracted. Furthermore, a refinery is being built to refine it. With the discovery of the vein, many specialists are being transported across the nation, in hopes of finding other iron veins, or of other ores. The discovery is huge for Kundrati, as it will generate jobs in the mines and refineries, and we will be able to export the iron. This might just be what Kundrati needs to kickstart its economy.

New Rifles by the KMW

After previously designing the standard handgun for the Kundrati military, the KWM EDCX9, the weapons manufacturer has revealed its new designs: The KWM L85A2 assault rifle, and the KWM FN17S semi-auto rifle. These two will now be the primary weapons used by our military. They will also be exported to places such as Endralon.

New Constiution
November, 4795

Earlier this morning, Consul Quintinus Vespacius organised a press conference.

Compatriots, I have gathered you all here today to make an announcement. As many of you are aware, our senate recently approved the name change to our nation. We no longer are the Kundrati Union, but we are the Socialist Republic of Kundrati. This is only the first of many changes to come to our nation. There is currently a team working on designing a new national flag, which will be presented as soon as it is finished. We also have a team working on a new constitution for our nation. These are changes that we saw as necessary due to the fact that we have used the same symbols for over 200 years, and our nation has changed a lot recently. I will appoint a new committee to re-write our constitution. Thank you all.

Following the statement, the Consul met with the committee to start work on the new constitution. We believe that the Consul is aiming for the new constitution to be finished by the new century, but we can only speculate.

Nuclear Plant in Celania
May, 4796

Earlier today Secretary of Infrastructure, Aurora Iuno, announced that a new nuclear plant will be built in Celania. The Senate is still debating whether or not to encourage nuclear energy, it is legal to build plants. The plant is expected to power Galemia entirely. This would reduce our nation's need for fossil fuels. In the event that the I-2 bill passes, it is possible that many other similar plants be built.

Treaty with Davostan
December, 4796

After many months of deliberating with the nation of Davostan, we have finally signed the Davostan-Kundrati Treaty of Friendship, Free Trade and Cooperation. The treaty stipulates many things. Some of the highlights are: Fishing related goods have a preference, lower tungsten tariffs from Davostan, KMW weapons will have reduced costs and preference for citizens looking for permanent residence in the other country. Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Cardea Iovis, is certain that this is a major step in foreign relations.

Stage 1 is finally complete
November 4797

Almost 7 years ago, the then Consul, Quintinus Vespacius, announced his 2 stage program for recovery from the civil war. This month, step 1 was finally completed. Everything that had been destroyed in the war has been rebuilt. The devastation can now only be seen in museums and in the memories of those who lived during the war. Now, the government will be focusing on step 2. Even though step 2 began almost simultaneously with step 1, this requires a lot more work. We can see, however, that it has helped the nation massively. The KMW, the NRS, the new mines, the new factories and treaties with Davostan, and the one we are working on with Trigunia, have boosted our economy. We now hope to see that after step 2 is complete, Kundrati will be a strong economy in the world.

The KNN has also received news that the next step in stage 2 is to build a new port. This port will help bring products from overseas to Artania, and it is expected it will help not only Kundrati but Kirlawa, Dundorf, Ikradon and Endralon too.
