League of the South becomes sole political entity

Kasaema, Pilgon - Egzon Borovnik, a Zergon nationalist and Budimir Fumić, a Hugalonian nationalist shared a common vision that the remaining Delic peoples in Artania would not be excluded anymore from mainstream politics. The two formed the non-profit "League of the South" it focused on educating Kundrati citizens on the ancestral people of the Kundrati homeland that were left over following the Delic people's flight from Artania. The League of the South formed originally in October, 4908 and served as a educational network aimed at acknowledging the ancestral Delic peoples presence in the nation. As the movement grew it was joined by the much larger but still minority Endralonian peoples, the Naemniki peoples and the Kopjanici people who are often included in the margins of Kundrati census' sponsored by the government. According to Fumić, a statistician by trade, stated that the numbers of Zergon, Hugalonian, Naemniki and Kopjanici peoples are much greater than the Kundrati government lets on and that is it one of the greatest crimes of world history that they are neglected and forgotten, but not anymore. Borovnik, the political "genius" behind the League of the South, announced that in January, 4910 the League of the South would be competing in local and regional elections as a means to upend the current political system in the country. It was a stretch according to political analyst, Zergonian and Hugalonian's only made up 4% of the population. Borovnik was able to gather the support of the other less well known peoples in Kundrati and introduce them to the League of the South, this also included gaining support from the Endralonian peoples in Kundrati as well as the Luthorian's who also made up a portion of the nations overall cultural makeup. The League of the South as of May, 4910 makes up the sole political entity in Kundrati and is likely to upend the whole cultural makeup of the government with the inclusion of Zergonians and Hugalonian's into government, perhaps even some Endralonian's.

Undisclosed location - The Pan-Delic Royalist Association, an association of Delic representatives who are supporters of the Stjepanic, the titular Grand Princes of Statrica, and one of the handful of remaining Hugalonian nobles in Kundrati, have condemned the move of the League of the South to Communism and Socialism. Dražen Josipović, Chairman of the Pan-Delic Royalist Association went on the offensive and stated that "...outside influences were at work when the Kundrati Communist Party was formed. Kundrati officials from previous governments joined the party and as a "majority" within the nation, they spewed their ideology over great men such as Egzon Borovnik and Budimir Fumić. It is unbelievable. We have been fighting for our rights for ages and this is what happens?" The Pan-Delic Royalist Association's political party is the Pan-Delic Nationalist Party, one of the constituent groups that made up the leadership of the League of the South but have since been kicked out since the Kundrati Communist Party formed. Borovnik, the overall leader of the nation right now, condemned the speech given by Josipovic: "The people and the workers of Kundrati have suffered underneath the boot of oppression for far too long, we cannot continue to allow this. The formation of the Federal Socialist Republic of Kundrati is an important first step in the development of our people, both those in the minority and those in the majority. We can continue to work together." There have been rumors that the Pan-Delic Royalist Association will be working to develop a paramilitary organization to protect itself against the new central government. Josipović, the overall leader of the Pan-Delic royalist in Kundrati has reportedly been pushed to declare a separate government from the nascent Federal Socialist Republic of Kundrati.

Kundrati Air and Air Defense Force approve patrols in Lievenian Sea

Minister of National Defense Karlo Antolović approved the resumption of Kundrati Air and Air Defense Force patrols in the Sea of Lievenian following the rise of tension on the Artanian continent, notably with Malivia making false and illegitimate claims upon several nations. The Kundrati Air Force will assign the 130th Fighter Aviation Squadron to conduct regular patrols over the Lievenian Sea as a means to protect sovereignty and ensure that the Lievenian Sea remains without conflict in the near future. The Kundrati Air Force is primarily comprised of Trigunian produced aircraft mixed in with some Artanian produced aircraft such as the Unionfighter produced by Artanian Defense Group. A number of defense industries within Kundrati have prompted the government for funding to develop indigenous materials and equipment underneath a new State Defense Committee that a number of defense industrialist have proposed to the new government. The Minister of National Defense also announced that the Armed Forces of Kundrati, now formally known as the Kundrati People's Army would be undergoing an extensive review and appointed a number officers to review the KPA as a whole, focusing on the "What is Kundrati's role in conflict?" a symposium that is being held by a number of officers, general and defense officials that have signed onto the new government.

National Defense Ministry confirms arms deal with Deltaria; local production to begin on MiG-29KU

Since the ascension of the Socialist Federal Republic of Kundrati into the Communist Pact of Independent States, the warming relations between Kundrati and Deltaria have fostered closer cooperation on a multitude of levels but none other have been as close as the new ties being built in the defense area. Directorate-General of International Military Cooperation and Policy representatives confirmed that the Kundrati People's Army would be taking delivery of roughly 300 BTR-2s and 200 BMP-2s to bolster the mechanization and motorization of the Kundrati Ground Forces. According to representatives from the directorate-general the total cost will be paid over several years and will cost roughly $2b LOD which includes a number of ancillary benefits, notably training and technical maintenance assistance. The Kundrati Ground Forces have undergone a radical transformation in the past several years, notably underneath the guise of the new General Staff which has sought out modernizing and bolstering the defensive capabilities of the KGF in the event of either foreign and domestic turmoil. Lieutenant General Ljubomir Radonić, the Chief of the Directorate of Logistics, noted that the mobilization rate of manpower within Kundrati had dramatically increased, the ability to deploy across the nation had improved due to projects being worked on jointly by civil and military authorities and overall the reduction in desertions, resignations and drop-outs from the Kundrati People's Army had dropped dramatically. Lt. General Radonić also confirmed that that Directorate of Planning and Administration had confirmed to him that local production of the MiG-29KU, a modified version of the Trigunian built MiG-29 fighter jet would begin limited, but local production within Kundrati within the next several months following successful attempts to secure license for the aircraft.

The Pan-Delic Royalist Association has formally named the pretender to the throne of Statrica, Dražen Stjepanic, as the pretender to the throne of Kundrati as "King of Kundrati". The move comes as the Kundrati Communist Party strengthens its grasp on the nation and an increasingly active Ministry of the Interior continues a crackdown on subversive elements within Kundrati society, notably in the north. Dražen Josipović, Chairman of the Pan-Delic Royalist Association, has continued his harsh rhetoric against the Kundrati Communist Party and has worked to unite several pro-monarchy, anti-Communist groups within the nation against the KCP and has threatened "...armed violence as a means to achieve true independence." Ministry of the Interior officials confirmed that it had arrested several PDRA members in the capital with weapons and ammunition and charged them with terrorism related charges, a move many believe to be a political plot. Josipović stated that they were nothing more than Kundrati citizens and have no affiliation with the PDRA with the exception that they are both registered as conservatives. While the Ministry of the Interior nor the central government, which is dominated by Communist and Socialist, have formally banned or announced any formal opposition to other political parties there is clear repression of right-wing ideologies such as the PDRA.

Foreign Ministry Expresses Sadness At Tokundian Mass Emigration to Kundrati

Tokundian's continue to re-settle in Kundrati

Minister of Foreign Affairs Tonja Brkiæ welcomed a number of Tokundian immigrants who have been returning to what the Foreign Affairs Ministry claims is the "...ancestral homeland of the Delic people in Artania." Several years ago the Kundrati government began offering assistance to Tokundian families and individuals who wished to return to their "homeland" in Kundrati following the foundation of the League of the South and the Kundrati Communist Party. President of the Socialist Federal Republic of Kundrati Egzon Borovnik has welcomed the Tokundian's back with open arms, himself having Tokundian descent from his fathers side. "This is a monumental movement of people in our history, the Tokundian people can finally say that they are returning home." According to the Ministry of the Interior a number of local governments have tried to entice the Tokundian's to settle, notably in the northern portion of the country where the economy is ripe for workers as the trade industry grows with fellow Communist Pact of Independent States and the market socialism proposed by the Kundrati government has allowed for controlled, yet open trade with a number of countries around the globe. Tokundian's returning to Kundrati will receive a 5,000 Kundrati Kuno stipend as well as lodging until permanent housing can become available; a move that has enticed poorer and less skilled Tokundian's from Cobura. Officials from the Ministry of Education and Culture have stepped up and begun a labor education program which seeks to match the new Tokundian's with jobs, mostly short term but working to expand access to higher education and for some, basic education. While the Coburan government has expressed regret that they are leaving, the SFR Foreign Affairs Ministry has welcomed the decision of the Coburan government to allow them to leave the nation unhindered. "We applaud the actions of the Coburan government and thank them for assisting in the return of the Tokundian people to their ancestral homeland."

BREAKING NEWS: General Majnarić seizes power.

Lucijan Majnarić, a General in the Kundrati People's Army and Deputy Chief of Staff of the Kundrati Ground Forces, has announced that he has assumed the mantle of General Secretary of the Kundrati Communist League (KCL) and has "temporarily" assumed the Presidency of the Socialist Federal Republic of Kundrati following the death of Egzon Borovnik; the first President of the SFR Kundrati and founder of the Kundrati Communist Party (KCP). Lucijan Majnarić has stated that elections will be held "...in due time." according to a statement by the Office of the President of the Socialist Federal Republic of Kundrati, in the interim he has appointed Nedjeljko Petelin as the Prime Minister of the SFR Kundrati and Chairman of the Council of Ministers. Majnarić has also stated that the the Kundrati Communist Party will be "unified" into the Kundrati Communist League, replacing the Kundrati Communist Party (KCP). The move comes as Borovnik, the spiritual leader of the KCP has faced failing health and an increasingly ever-changing and dramatic landscape in the People's Assembly which at times has outright revolted against him. Borovnik announced the arrest several weeks ago of a number of military and security officials sparking fear of a coup attempt by the Kundrati People's Army (KPA) which has had its influenced weakened due to the state of conflict between the General Secretary and the Minister of National Defense, Karlo Antolović.

News: Manifesto is released for upcoming election cycle in August 5125

The Kundrati Democracy party was recently formed mere years ago as a centre-right party, immediately gaining some votes in the 5122 election but not much to get a seat. With another conservative party, For Kundrati, also gaining popularity Kundrati Democracy's leader Viseslav Perun stated that he was willing to form a coalition with For Kundrati and coordinate with FK to ensure shared policy commitments.

KD has already made a bill which passed the Parliament 175-172 with 103 abstains from the Future Alliance. The bill provided protection for farmers in farm size per their provincial government and allowed subsidies and local fishing quotas. Two bills by KD have already been submitted for voting regarding finances and the media respectively.

On to the manifesto, KD states that they wish to be:
- progressive on civil rights legislation
- devolved government but with smaller government overall
- strong foreign relations and armed forces
- laissez-faire on economics somewhat, though with government restrictions to protect individuals and farmers
- moderate on religion
- and moderate though skeptic on ecology

KD has also stated that they will begin working on election campaigns and canvassing over the next couple of months in preparation for the August election.

"Kundrati's Children of God" conduct mass suicide in Lirnak as protests for independence for Jildrath Island increase in size

Lirnak police found that the "Kundrati's Children of God", a popular cult with 20 high ranking members, were found dead last night of a mass suicide per the local police head. The members had left a note stating that they were martyrs to the cause of Jildrathan independence, and wished for their other members to listen to the videotape that appeared in a mass email to medium and lower ranking members of the cult.

The videotape, when played, called for the cult's lower ranking members to, according to the video,

...begin the cause of the revolution. Now is the time! We have a fascist government who holds absolute control of the Government, and we must make that no more!

Such sentiment was also echoed by a Jildrath Assemblymember Siniot Hok - Hok called for members of the local Jildrath Party to rise up and occupy Jildrath City, the capital of the province.

The cult had been popular since 5124 promising for Jildrathan independence and promoting a peaceful attitude to problems - they had been growing stadily and by 5138 they have had up to 10,000 members. Why they were popular were also that the idea of Jildrath independence had been popular for a long time due to it having a different culture than that of the mainland, alongside popular sentiment in the island for closer ties to neighbour Endralon. They had also begun to grow influence in other provinces wishing for autonomy, including Lirnak, which wanted closer ties with their western neighbour Dundorf.

Protestors already appeared today in the tens of thousands, the main city square seeing many flags of Jildrath including one without the seal of the province - this being popular with independentists. The mass suicide happened also at the same time as the Governor of Jildrath, Vladana Blagojević, declared that

...there will be an independence referendum as soon as we win the next elections in 5143! We have wanted independence for a very long time, even before the Many Parties' Wave of thirty to fourty years ago, so now we must challenge the notion that we are proud to be Kundrati!

Vladana, a member of Kundrati Democracy, was told by the President of Kundrati that she risked losing her party membership if she made such statements again in a private call leaked by Blagojević.

The protestors had also held signs worshipping the 20, calling them heroes - infact, when we asked protestors why they held up such signs, often the sentiment was that the 20 had died for them and that the protest is to pay their respects.

President Hulanevek has provided this statement to the Guardian:

Kundrati Democracy respects the right to protest and we express our sympathies for the families of those who committed suicide. We have the necessary resources to investigate the situation. It is unfortunate that there are protests in favor of independence and that these members were probably the cause of the protests, but we are willing to talk to the independentists to give them a voice, however we draw a firm line when it comes to independence. They can have autonomy but no independence, and if they get violent we have the necessary police resources to calm them down.

The Jildrath Police have set up stations to protect Jildrath City's city hall and governmental buildings. The Kundrati Armed Forces bases are on full alert in the island and in the mainland portion of Jildrath. Such protests are planned for the week including one in Jildrath's second largest city of Keita.
