Verteidigung wöchentlich: Dorvish Inspector-General arrives in Kundrati for high-level defense talks (February, 5202)

The decade's Agricultural Report, produced by the Ministry of Agriculture, has just been released to the public.

Owing to both foreign investment - especially Dorvikan investment - alongside general growth of the Kundrati economy it has been stated that manufacturing of agricultural machines has skyrocketed, now providing the country with a surplus of tractors ad other vehicles. This is expected to help Kundrati's export market especially towards countries like Tukarali and even their neighboring countries which, therefore, will provide the Kundrati economy with a boost in the short run.

The food quotas have also been revised so that, in recognition of the growing yields in the north of the country (crop yields have been increased by 8% from the years 5191 to 5201 in the north, and 3% nationwide), the quota will be revised to allow for more crops in various fields like wheat and foodstuffs. Exports to other countries will also be increased to meet demand.

Further revisions to the Agricultural Report will be done within the year, and supply books and the like will be available within the middle of the year. The Ministry clarifies that this report is more for advice than as guidance.

Kundrati open for investments from Dorvik and Tukarali

Ministry of Finance, Trade & Industry are both working in close cooperation with Foreign Affairs in attracting new investments for the Kundrati economy. Kundrati is well know for the production of Agricultural machinery and new investments in to that area of expertise are expected. Investors from both Dorvik and Tukarali are being welcomed by the Kundrati government over the next few months. The newly investors could expect a wide range of benefits such as free leasing of land or reduced labour costs. The Ministry of Finance has set up a budget worth of up 2Billion KUN in subsidies for the agricultural manufacturing branche.

The Kundrati government will also be promoting the newly created SEZ's to industries as it wants to divesify it's production. President of the Kundrati Slavik Machinery, the leading tractor factory in Kundrati announced his desire to making in to the Truck business and is hoping to set up a joint venture in the near future with the support of the Kundrati government. Also here the goverment is willing to facilitate any investment with a wide range subsidies and assistance.

*BLACK HAMMER MOVEMENT SEIZES GOVERNORS OFFICE IN JILDRATI CITY*

Earlier this morning at exactly 9:02 AM, unmarked black vans were spotted around the governors office and at 9:08 AM, the office was seized by armed members of the Black Hammer Movement, an Ordosocialist aligned terrorist group.
Police units were deployed and surrounded the office at 9:18 AM and entered a standoff as hostages, including the governor, Boris Modric, newly elected governor of Jildrath and a member of the Hope & Solidarity Party. Alongside other prominent members of the Jildrath government.

At 11:44 AM, roughly, it was revealed an ultimatum was given by the Black Hammer Movement, demanding ransom for Modric's release. The demand was extended to include the wounded and injuried worker's, security and other members of government.

Officials have yet to provide a comment but rumours are circulating that an emergency meeting has been held in an undisclosed location to resolve the issue.

Officers of the Extea Police Force, in cooperation with the Kundrati State Security Unit and the 2nd Regiment of the Kundrati Army, have conducted raids on multiple buildings in the island.


In these buildings found files on low ranking individuals, small weapons sashes, propaganda and other miscellaneous items. In addition, over 50 people were arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit terrorism.

The Jildrath Crisis has been going on for days now with no end in sight as both sides have been critical of each other. The Black Hammer Movement, which perpetrated the kidnapping of the new Jildrath Governor and is holding him hostage, claims that they are not willing to surrender and that if they do not cease with the raids it will be grounds for the "execution of the Governor".

The raids which took place this morning involved hundreds of police, SWAT teams and the military, in the operation which was personally sanctioned by the Prime Minister with tacit approval by Jildrath City.

Negotiators in Middenriding agreed today on the establishment of better economic cooperation between Kundrati and Luthori.

The agreement, which also includes setting up a Luthori Air office in Kasæma, includes freight air service between Kasæma and Fort Orange, the two capitals of Kundrati and Luthori respectively. This is expected to save both sides up to two billion Lodamun Dollars in the long run instead of highway and shipping traffic.

If things are successful air travel between Swanstead City and the city of Galensk (Galemia) could also be established, alongside Jildrath City to Middenhall City.

The agreement was signed between both the Kundrati and Luthori governments alongside representives from the heads of major companies from both sides of the Artenian Sea.

The economy of Kundrati has seen substantial improvement over the last two decades, after foreign investment began to provide massive improvements to the economy (statements have been put out stating that the Kundrati economy within the last decade has increased by at least 5% and at most 8%) - especially that of agriculture, finance and manufacturing with the new industrial park in Lirnak being finally completed and opened this year, providing thousands upon thousands of new jobs. In addition to that many factories in the south have begun construction especially near Tomasadyne and Venora.

Products made in Kundrati, like the tractors from the Kundrati Slavik Machinery, alongside the new truck program between Kundrati Slavik Machinery and the Kundrati government's National Truck Production Company have also begun production so that within the year new trucks can start rolling down the Kundrati highway system. Investment in ports in the south of Kundrati within the last few decades will also allow these trucks and products to be easily exported, alongside the new crops and other products.

While clothing fabric isn't prioritized as much in Kundrati more factories in the centre have also bbegun production which can allow for bigger demand and supply. As one now rolls down the urban streets of Kasaema or Tomasadyne or Jildrath City, there are more banks and clothing stores than there are restaurants and electronic stores. The fashion industry, while not as popular and grand, is also starting to see record profits - the first Kundrati fashion show in a very long while has also started this year in 5204 in Riverford. Exports of clothing products have also begun to increase, though not as much as new tractors and agricultural products.

However, with that comes drawback - the Jildrath Crisis has caused an economic depression in Extea and ferry service to Extea has halted for the time being. It is expected that the Crisis will set back the Extean economy for at least 3 years, and at most 10. We've reached out to the Extean government for comment and they have not replied in time for print.

In a press conference this afternoon, the 5205 Naval Reform Paper has just been released for the public to review.

In a room full of Admirals, officers, staff and select media, the Head of the Kundrati Navy announced that there would be two fleets from now on: the Livenian Fleet and the Artenian Fleet. Both fleets will have at least one frigate, three missile ships, a "multitude" of patrol ships, and other related ships. Both fleets will be headed by Admirals only subordinate to the Defence Minister, the President and the Admiralty of Kundrati, newly created to oversee the Fleets and the general function of the Kundrati Navy and which shall be limited to five officers and their staff. As to the acquisition of new ships, Kundrati would need to rely on Dorvik alongside Hutori, with help from the Riverford Dockyards. Further discussions with Dorvik and Hutori partners are planned and await a response from both.

The Livenian Fleet will be tasked with defending the Livenian Sea with co-operation with Dorvik Naval partners alongside other partners of the Livenian Sea Accord, which Kundrati expressed their wish to join earlier in the year. If Kundrati is however unable to participate in the LSA the Fleet would be tasked with defending Kundrati's northern EEZ and provide coastal defense for Kundrati's rivers north of Kasaema.

The Artenian Fleet would be tasked with defending Kundrati and Extea's southern EEZ and, with co-operation with Likatonia's Navy provide assistance for the defence of the Artenian Sea, alongside defense of Kundrati's southern coastal defence and the defense of Kundrati's rivers south of Kasaema.

The Navy would also be structured with influence from Dorvik and Luthori, notably, the creation of the "Grand Admiral of Kundrati" rank equivalent to other nations' Marshal rank, only to be given in "exceptional combat worthy of the highest rank". It will be a ceremonial rank - this also to be ahead of the new rank of "Admiral of Kundrati" which will be given to the members of the Admiralty.

Further reforms to the Armed Forces await approval by the Defence Ministry and the National Assembly.
