A mockup of the future Keita-class landing platform dock which is expected to be launched in 5450.

Kundrati Naval Shipbuilders' Company to build Keita-class landing platform dock, expected to launch in 5450

The Kundrati Navy has shown to be a potent force to be used around Terra with their missions in Badara, Valruzia, Davostag, and other countries. Lately it has worked on it's own aircraft carrier with Luthori to the point of completion and operation as of this coming year.

However, while aircraft carriers are nice to have, landing platform docks are also better to have. The Kundrati Navy has stated that they need to have at least four on offer, two for the Southern Fleet and two for the Northern Fleet. In a bid on building and constructing Kundrati's answer to the landing platform dock the Kundrati Naval Shipbuilders' Company has won out with a 528 million Kuno contract for the Keita-class.

The Keita-class offers a flight deck space for helicopters with the capacity of four heavy or six medium helicopters at its disposal in the hangar bay with the necessary equipment to operate them. In addition to a well deck capable of operating six landing craft vehicle with personnel, the ship can contain a maximum of 170 vehicles depending on their size with at least 33 main battle tanks or 130 armored personnel carriers. Up to 700 tons of ammunition and stores that are spread out throughout the cargo space of the ship are also on offer. Finally, around 530 fully equipped troops with 80 staff and aircrew can be transported on the ship.
All information of the ship taken from this page.

The expectation is that the first ships will begin rolling off the production line by 5450 with the last of them being completed by around 5453. Production of the ship is expected to take place in the growing shipyards of Riecny Brod with the current shipyards in the south working hard already on expanding to meet the demands of the KuNS Quintinus Vespacius.

The names of the ships are to be KuNS Keita, KuNS Takozvani, KuNS Ljudmila Stemberg and KuNS Jan Salinator Cæsaran.

ArtSat (Artanian Satellite) company forms in Radkovice, plans to introduce high-speed satellite internet to the world by 5460

Advancements in today's internet have made it so that many countries have the world have at least some access to the Internet. Whether through fiber-optic or dial-up, Terrans around the world can speak to each other in some way which has changed the world in a positive way.

Artanian Satellite, or ArtSat for short, has been formed with investments from Etxean Bank and the Lirnakican Technological Investment Bank. The startup raised 583 million Kuno (139.69 million Franc) at the Jildrathi City Stock Exchange and has promised that they would work with Beiteynuese partners for the time being to ensure that the company can launch satellites that can provide satellite internet to others around the world. The philosophy is that most of Terra does not have high-speed stable internet which, while access is improving around Terra, is not enough to ensure that anyone in Terra can reach each other quickly without problems.

The plan is to work on research to not only create a standardized high-capacity high-speed satellite that can be sent to space to roam around Terra, but also to create a dish that can be carried by the customer anywhere with a generator or power at least outdoors. The intention is that the satellite will provide high speed internet for work, streaming, video games, et cetera without much cost for the consumer for transport, set-up, and maintenance. The consumer sets up the supplied dish and user terminal anywhere they are at so long as the satellite is aimed openly at the sky.

The high-capacity high-speed satellite meant for space would roam around Terra after a rocket launch, which comes after work towards making sure the satellite can be mass-produced without quality problems for the construction or services it provides. Details about the specifics of how the satellites would work can be found in the company's patents which have been filed as of this year.

Beiteynuese partners in the technology field, like Black Beisa, and Kadenite for satellites have also come on board to provide the technology needed for such a project. By 5460, it is expected that the first few satellites will be available to the public with an initial price of 3500 KUN (838.63 Lourennaise Franc) which is expected to go down drastically in time. The price is 2500 KUN (599.02 Franc) upfront for the set-up cost with 1000 KUN (239.61 Franc) a month afterwards for operation costs for those who wish to set up in a fixed location. ArtSat states that there will be an additional service for on-the-go customers at an extra 100 KUN (23.96 Franc) a month to allow them to set up their service in RVs and places away from their home. ArtSat promises that the company will introduce "...at least 4,000 of our satellites for our customers' satellites to access."

Should this project work out, ArtSat states that they plan to offer a maritime version of ArtSat for ships of all kinds, alongside satellite cellular service capabilities with various telecoms around Terra.

The proposed logo of the Artanian Space Agency, made by a Kirlawan artist (Nileowen).

Artanian Space Agency formed between Kundrati, Kirlawa and Dundorf to tackle Project Terraway together

For a long time, a continent-wide space agency serving Artania was thought of as a dream which had to deal with political obstacles which have shaped Artania over the years. There was also concern over whether such an agency could go anywhere, given that the current incarnation of the Artanian Union slowly grows more inactive despite the efforts of Kasaema, Fort William, Dunborg and others in reviving the esteemed institution.

Yet those concerns were not in mind when representatives of Kirlawa, Kundrati and Dundorf met today at a ceremony in the area where the three countries border each other. A document was also signed affirming that the three countries would commit to providing resources for such an agency for the upcoming "Project Terraway" international space station program.

Project Terraway is an ongoing effort by the three countries joined by Lourenne, Dolgava, Baltusia, Beiteynu, Kalopia and Xsampa to build an international space station serving the Terran people. Each country is expected to provide their own portions of the Project from construction to engineering to components to other items. Other countries are also likely to express interest like Luthori in this project. It is expected that Kundrati would provide astronauts, living components, and agricultural assistance to ensure the project can go smoothly with other countries providing components from rockets to natural resources like gold.

The Artanian Space Agency, with the three members Dundorf, Luthori and Kundrati, may see other countries like N&D and Luthori participate as well. Invitations have been sent to the latter and the former may receive invitations as well. The ASA is expected to be run by three countries though work is underway to deal with the organization's administration.

The Kundrati government, via the Foreign Office with additional help from banks like Etxean Bank and Tomasadyn National, plans to provide at least 55 billion Kuno (10 billion from the Foreign Office, rest by private investors) which equates to 13.179 billion Lourennaise Franc. The other members, like Kirlawa and Dundorf, are also likely to provide a good amount of money to help the ASA.

Kundrati and Selucia to build joint army-navy base in Northern Aquilonia per agreement

Today, the Kundrati Defense Minister (Admiral Mariamatias Landagaray) and her Selucian counterpart (Titus Plautius Verres) met today in Selucia to discuss the strategic relationship between Kundrati and Selucia. Of note, Selucia is not in the Majatran Security and Cooperation Organization (MSCO) which dominates the continent, therefore, no MSCO officials were present in the meeting. However, Admiral Landagaray states that this is not meant to be a Kundrati or Artanian challenge to the status quo, noting the following:
Of course we would like to remain friends with Majatra. This is not a challenge to any status quo that the newspapers might claim. However, Selucians and Kundrati are of the same gene and the same kind of people. We are brothers and sisters who can fight together if we need to. This is merely a way to enhace the capabilities of both the Selucian and Kundrati Armed Forces.

A deal was reached between the two sides. Kundrati and Selucia would build a joint army and naval base in Northern Aquilonia. The work will take years to make it able enough to handle nuclear submarines and the aircraft carrier KuNS Quintinus Vespacius. The base is expected to handle 15,000 Kundrati and 15,000 Selucian soldiers and will be a permanent installation that will be able to train the 30,000 combined soldiers in army and naval warfare.

The two sides also agreed to both sides sharing each others' equipment with Selucian access to Kundrati's Zab-2 and ships and aircraft among others, alongside Kundrati acceess to the best in Selucian technology. However, there would be limits to the sharing for national security reasons. In addition, a joint training program will also be introduced to allow both sides to work together on missions and to adapt to the best in each others' military capabilities

The base is expected to be completed within 5 years for the first few soldiers to be officially assigned to the area, with another 10-15 years for the base to be completely stocked and prepared.

Kundrati not to station troops in Selucia, agrees to joint base deal with Selucia, Deltaria and Saridan

In a stunning announcement, the Foreign Minister Frantzisko Bidanda announced that the Kundrati Union had spoken with his Selucian and Deltarian counterparts and that, as a result, while the joint base will continue construction it would no longer be used by Kundrati and would be used only by Selucia. The deal announced today was that Kundrati, in exchange for not stationing troops in Selucia, would work with Deltaria and Selucia on a joint naval base in Saridan's island province.

The new deal is that Kundrati would continue to provide military assistance and training to Selucian troops and that the Kundrati, Deltarian, and Selucian Navies would station troops and ships in a massive naval base capable of handling up to 35 naval ships including the carriers and nuclear submatines of Deltaria and Kundrati. The base would also be used for Saridan in order to enhance their capabilities in protecting their seas from foreign invaders and the like. In exchange for this massive deal, the Kundrati and Deltarians would foot the bill for building the base and would lease the base with the agreement of the Saridani government.

In addition, Selucia would get a discount on buying equipment from the Kundrati Defense Contractors and would still be allowed to share some of Kundrati's equipment for their own missions to help enhance Selucia's capabilities on defending their home islands. Training of troops would also still occur in accordance with the wishes of the Selucian Armed Forces.

The deal would also allow Selucia to be protected by the two powers in recognizing the sovereignty and neutrality of the Selucian people from powers like the MSCO and the JASA, alongside massive economic investment and the like from Deltaria and Kundrati to help with the Selucian economy, still reeling from the civil war that had impacted the nascent Principate a while earlier.

Press Conference of Foreign Minister Frantzisko Bidanda on Artania and Majatra

On the formation of JASA and the comments of the foreign minister of Narikaton and Darnussia:

I understand the concerns of fellow Artanian nations who, after centuries of Dorvish hegemony and tyranny, are worried about other nations in Artania trying to be like Dorvik and the appearance of such. Mr. Pappen has made some concerns known to Kasaema about their concerns about JASA, claiming that there is no reason.

However, I urge him and international foreign ministers, like the Deltarian one, to understand what this rhetoric means for everyone else. It discourages everyone else from having defense pacts with everyone else, it discourages nations from being proactive with others. Why sign up to the Joint Artanian and Majatran Security pact if there is no crisis? Nothing is happening in the Migrant's Pass, so why must we remain or sign up to JAMS? Why must Majatran nations remain in the MSCO if there is no crisis?

Nations like Endralon and Ikradon fell to civil war and it only took individual nations who stumbled into an alliance to stop those crises to end these crises altogether. We didn't have a JASA or anything like that. Only through the hard work of individual nations, stressed enough, did we stop these crises.

We must try, therefore, to form up the JASA. It makes sure that countries in Artania can fight together and have a centralized way to stop crises from happening in Artania. It makes sure that Artanian nations and terrorist groups who are thinking of causing ruckuses in Artania know that the moment they do, they will see a response from mutliple nations easily. Everyone says you don't need JASA, but isn't it better to have something when you don't need it, than to need it and not have it?

On the upcoming JASA Summit which is expected to be hosted in Kundrati, and the Charter in general:
I am very happy that we have met privately with nations from Aloria to Luthori to Kirlawa to Dundorf. They have expressed interest and they will be cordially invited to the upcoming summit where we can discuss the treaty and how to expand on it. We have the fundamentals in place but it is best to work with everyone else to figure out where we can apply it to the individual needs of nations interested in JASA.

I admit we could have done better in informing other nations of this. However behind the scenes we have had difficulties with working out the fundamentals which our partners in Luthori worked with. Dundorf has also been in agreement as well. Originally we tried to adapt the MSCO Charter into our charter but we realize that it wasn't adaptable to our needs, so we worked on it and made sure it was unique to the demands of Artania.

On Selucia:
I plan on visiting Selucia and their capital in order to talk with their Foreign Minister and to talk with their leaders. I understand the deal being cut randomly would have upset the Selucians who have been promised a lot. It is up to those involved in the deal to determine if it is right for each other, not for other nations to do so. This visit is meant to rectify the Selucian feelings that we have seen privately, alongside ensuring that we can form a proper military and economic relationship together, a prosperous one indeed.

However we have agreed to a better deal for everyone involved and it brings everyone from Saridan to ourselves to Deltaria to Selucia into the table and into being responsible for the maintenance of peace and safety in the Artanian Sea and in the South Ocean. To this, we are very happy with that and I hope everyone, including ourselves, can hold up their ends of the bargain.
