Esick Ashunanev, the leader of the Kundrati Democracy party which holds the second most seats in the Federal Assembly, announced today in the Party Congress that, if he wins, he will be "tough on crime and tough for family values".

He explained that in the last couple of years the crime rate nationwide increased to the point where last year the National Security Act was passed to provide military support to police forces in major situations. In various parts of the country the crime rate was higher than even the Hulanevek years. Ashunanev promised that in his term he would add more police power and work on laws which deal with decreasing crime.

He would also promise that family values would be respected. To that end he would begin to work on laws, especially related to prostitution and sexual items, to restrict access to these items.

Ashunanev promised that he would cooperate with other parties as well, but he further added that he will be firm on the crime front.

He further advocates more expansion in the military and infrastructure and financial portions of the economy, stating that the welfare is bloated and needs to be cut a bit.

The election is set for July of 5197.

Kundrati rock band "Iznenađenje otoka" announced a tour across the nation today, starting in May 5199 and ending in Kasæma on New Years Day 5200.

Their music has been popular among the youth of Kundrati for years, forming in 5183 in Keita, Jildrath. Their first hit, "Volim te Kundrati" (I love you Kundrati) sold over 3 million times in local stores. Known for a kind of music with major Artenian trends mixed with regular rock, making them very popular in the country.

Long lines stretched from Keita's Palace of Cultures where the band is expected to begin their tour. Similar scenes were seen in various stadiums, cultural palaces, and other venues announced for the band.

President Ashunanev has invited the band to 1 Pavolik Square, the house of the President, for celebrations of the New Century (5200).

Iznenađenje otoka has stated their interest to play in other venues, especially in Dorvik, Luthori and Hutori.

Such bands have taken over the Kundrati cultural scene as Iznenađenje otoka and other bands like it, for example Zmija želja (Snake of Desire) with their new hit "Kundrat Love", which has sold over 8 million times in Kundrati. A future cooperation between Zmija želja and Iznenađenje otoka will be announced in 5200.

Kalistanis look forward to "playing music, and cultural exchange"

The Kundrati rock band Five Sisters an Hour (FSH), alongside the rock band The New Wave and Tom Marcus are in their third week in Kundrati and already they've received a major welcome in all the venues they've played.

The stage was filled when the trio performed at their first venue of Jildrath City Square, which could hold tens of thousands and where a stage was set up. After performing their signature music, which included "Down the Road" by FSH, the crowd roared for more. The bands held a joint autograph session after the concert where countless many showed up - among other items like papers, one person got her watch signed by Marcus while another got her tattoo signed by FSH lead guitarist Kristan Kristianovich!

Such was the scene next in the seaside town of Polus in Celania, near the border with Jildrath - though with less people, the town roared with excitement and many showed up wanting to see the Kalistanis put on a good performance.

As for why they roared, international and domestic rock has been becoming majorly popular by many sectors of the Kundrati people - especially during the early 5190s. Kalistani bands like The New Wave, alongside Luthori bands, have become so popular in Kundrati especially among the youth that rock concerts regularly sell out, with the popularity set to continue into the new century stronger than ever.

The bands are set to continue unabated to the capital, Kasæma, before roaming around Lirnak and Pegonhai states. Ticket prices for these concerts are so sold out scalpers could easily get at least ten times the asking price by desperate buyers.

The concert tour is expected to end in a few weeks.

Mikhail Pisanivovich, alongside 30 other members of Kundrati Democracy's far right wing have been arrested on corruption charges by the courts today.

Police arrested them earlier in the week and have received by the courts the order not to grant bail. The members have also been kicked out of the party. The members arrested have yet to place their pleas bar two whom have pleaded guilty. Sentencing for the two will be scheduled for later in the year. It is unknown who will plead what.

When asked by the media, the President of Kundrati only commented this: "Our party will root out the corrupt and bring them to their knees." In a party address earlier in the month attended by all of the delegates he promised that certain elements would be removed and that the party will be moderate right, a sway from potential far right moves earlier in the decade.

After hearing of the arrests thousands took to the streets in Kasæma calling for their release and demanding those arrested to be given their spots back. Similar protests were also heard in various cities.

The military has also been placed on moderate alert, fearing potential violence from the far right.

Construction on the industrial park in Lirnak with SEU Patenek continues on as a major amount of buildings have been completed, and some of them are even open for jobs. The industrial park, which is expected to contribute to the Lirnakan economy by 6%, is almost 60% finished with almost two decades in construction behind it.

The industrial park is very large and takes up an entire borough of the local town of Patenek, 80 km from the state capital of Kaden. The industrial park will include space for the various industries, like manufacturing, to take space which has also begun to expand into the industrial park.

The park has been in budget but has been beset by delays, though it is expected to be completed by 5205. Outgoing President Esick Ashunanev visited the site and commented on the expansive area, already with completed buildings but also with various park and recreational areas, and housing blocks alongside.

*BLACK HAMMER MOVEMENT SEIZES GOVERNORS OFFICE IN JILDRATI CITY*

Earlier this morning at exactly 9:02 AM, unmarked black vans were spotted around the governors office and at 9:08 AM, the office was seized by armed members of the Black Hammer Movement, an Ordosocialist aligned terrorist group.
Police units were deployed and surrounded the office at 9:18 AM and entered a standoff as hostages, including the governor, Boris Modric, newly elected governor of Jildrath and a member of the Hope & Solidarity Party. Alongside other prominent members of the Jildrath government.

At 11:44 AM, roughly, it was revealed an ultimatum was given by the Black Hammer Movement, demanding ransom for Modric's release. The demand was extended to include the wounded and injuried worker's, security and other members of government.

Officials have yet to provide a comment but rumours are circulating that an emergency meeting has been held in an undisclosed location to resolve the issue.
