Surprising Primaries Result
January 4856

Today the final votes were counted for the November FSO Primaries. After months of campaigning, the results are staggering.

The campaigning for the primaries began in July of last year, shortly after Adrius Felix decided to bailout 3M. The 2 main contenders were the incumbent, Adrius Felix, and President of the Senate, Pius Castus. Secretary of Trade Martie Aregita also ran but got an extremely small amount of votes.

Adrius Felix ran on the fact that he has been known for being able to take pressure, as he was able to negotiate with some of the revolutionaries after the July Uprising. He says that during the crisis he will be needed for his ability. He also spoke about how during his term he has struck deals with many nations, particularly Narkaton, Davostan and Egelion, and that this ability to negotiate with foreign nations will be vital to survive the crisis.

Pius Castus, on the other hand, mainly ran on the fact that he believes his opponent will not look after the interests of Kundrati, but his own. He spoke of how this has already been shown by the 3M Bailout. He says that Felix took bribes and that's why he helped 3M. He also says that the overconfidence he expresses regarding the crisis has no foundation in reality. That if Kundrati elects him then we will not make it out of the crisis in a good position.

The election that took place in November gave us shocking results.

The total amount by which Adrius Felix won was of 4,625. A difference of 0.02%. The counting of the ballots took so long because of this. In fact, the preliminary results gave Castus the victory with or 300,000 votes. As the night progressed the lead changed or 7 times. Recounts were ordered all over the country. Every single voting station was mandated to count it's ballots 7 times. Today after the results were released to the public Felix was finally able to declare himself the winner.

After an election as close as this one, the KNN team is concerned. For the first time ever, the person likely to be PM will not have a majority. This means that Adrius Felix will be under very close scrutiny.

Crisis worsens, Felix does nothing

As the crisis that began in Deltaria last year continues to send it shock wave across Terra, Kundrati's situation is worsening. We have seen a drop in the growth rate of -4.4 in only the past 2 months, and unemployment has risen by over 6%.

The 3M bailout seems to have been an irresponsible decision, as it seems that Kundrati will not be able to reap any gain from our investment. Prime Minister Adrius Felix is still to recognise his mistake. He has said that even if it does not pay off right now, it will in the long run. This is no longer convincing people though. The last KNN approval rating poll shows how Felix has lost 4.6 points since the election, putting him at 42.3% approval. Not only that, but many who voted for Pius Castus in the primaries are saying that Felix is illegitimate and should not remain in power. These protests are scaling in severity, and bring us all images of the July Uprising of 4842.

The worsening of the crisis has also taken a heavy toll on KMW, as it was announced today morning that they will receive no new orders for any equipment. They have also said that they will stop development on the new fighter and any other projects that they have until the economy stabilises again. Once the current orders are completed, especially the ships purchased by Egelion, they will stop with all manufacturing. All the factories will go into a hiatus of an undetermined period of time.

Now that KMW is taking a hit with the crisis, unemployment on the rise and national growth rate seeming like it is going into a spiral, many hope that Adrius Felix will do something before its too late.

ISSSW Dismanteled until further notice|More protests

As the crisis worsens in Kundrati due to the Prime Minister's lack of effective action, we receive more terrible news from Kasaema.

Adrius Felix has decided that he will be cutting away money from the budget of the Secretariat of Health. This, in turn, means that the Institute for Social Security and Service for Workers will be dismantled until further notice. This includes the Healthy Train. This programme has existed since 4827 and has brought relief to many in the nation.

People went out to the streets to protest the change. Th ISSSW had been one of the only things that people had praised Urizar Zabalbeascoa for, and with good reason. It brought free healthcare to all workers and their families. Only people who did freelance jobs were not covered. Now that it is gone, an estimated 27 million people have lost their healthcare with the decision.

With the announcement, hundredths of thousandths took to the streets in protest. With people losing their jobs and now their healthcare, the government is now in a very perilous position, where it has only 36% approval.

Felix Ousted from Palace of Governature
December 4857

In a shocking turn of events, today Adrius Felix was ousted from the position of Prime Minister. Following a series of inept economical decisions he made related to the crisis, the entire Cabinet voted unanimously to oust him from the government. Minister of Internal Affairs Oidor Gamoea held a press conference on behalf of the Cabinet.

We decided to oust him unanimously. He has made a series of decisions that have not only compromised our already weak economy, but that harmed our people. Dismantling the ISSSW was the last straw. We could not just sit around with him destroying the country. We will call for an election in the coming days. In the meantime, Pius Castus will act as interim Prime Minister.

Most people were happy to hear this, as Felix only had 22% approval at this point. Castus on the contrary has 56% approval. Many expect him to get us back on our feet from the crisis. Many people also commented that it was a good thing that this transition of power was so peaceful, as many feared a repeat of 4842.

Felix has been forced to retire and is rumoured that he will live in a small country house in Pilgon.

FOMAT IV Entry
June 4858

Today it was announced that Kundrati will be participating in the coming FOMAT IV, which will be held in Dolgavia. The previous instance, which was held over 50 years ago in the 4800's, was very good for Kundrati, as we finished 3rd. This year, we expect to finish higher up in the podium.

This year, our entry consists of the group Musika Musikala. They will be performing Ametsa. This will also be thefirst time that Kundrati's submission will be in our native Kundrati (ooc: basque) instead of Luthori.

The KNN team is very exited and wishes them best of luck in Dolgavia

Arkham Bats win the KFL 4858| New League Format
November 4858

Today the city of Arkham celebrates, as the Bats won a tense 5-4 match in Riverford against the Miners. The rivalry that is now a Kundrati classic was highly expected, as nearly 3 million people connected from their homes to watch the match. Furthermore, the Miners' stadium, the Riverford Arena, was completely filled to its capacity of 45 thousand.

The match was very tense and both sides did their best. In the end, a goal in minute 86' by the Bats' star Orti Burzaco was the decider.

Both teams will be attending the LTG Terra League for its next season.

The KFL also announced a new format for their league. From now on, there will be two seasons per year. The Aperture and Closure. The winner of each season will be facing off against the other one to decide the year's champion, as well as who is attending the LTG Terra League as first place. If a team wins first place in both seasons, the second team from Aperture will face off the second from Closure to determine the year's second place. If the first and second places repeat in both seasons then there will be no decider match. (OOC: based on the current format of the Liga MX).

After being shut down in July of 4856 and May 4857 respectively, both the KMW and the ISSSW will be going back to business starting next month.

This was announced by Internal Affairs Secretary Oidor Gamboa on a press conference this morning. He also announced that all families affected by the closure of these would receive an undetermined amount of money in benefits to try and compensate. He said that the cases will be reviewed one by one and social workers will go all over the country to examine how much help each family needs. He expressed that the government was extremely sorry for the dismantling of the KMW and ISSSW, as they provided many people with free healthcare and thousands of jobs. He added that he knew that this could not forgive their actions, but that he expected that it would improve the lives of all those affected.

All KMW factories have started to re-stock on parts and workers who lost their jobs are getting them back. They will be reopening sometime during August. Furthermore, two more factories will be opening in Lirnak, as the region had largely been ignored by the company before. It has also been announced that KMW will now be somewhat more independent from the government and will have a CEO voted on by the workers. These CEO elections will happen in December.

As for the ISSSW, hospitals to are restocking and re-hiring doctors. They too expect to be ready by late July or early August at the latest. They have also announced that starting in 4862, they will undergo a process of renewing their equipment and training their doctors in more modern techniques. These projects will begin once the ISSSW has started working properly again, as currently most doctors and nurses need to get used to the rhythm again. Another announcement was that ISSSW hospitals will now be teaching hospitals, and will have a residency programme.

As the recent economic crisis showed us, the current economic system in Kundrati does not work. Secretary of Finance Lena Dominicus clearly has the same opinion, as she made the following announcement in a press conference.

Good evening everyone, and thanks from coming here on such short notice. Now, I come to you with some rather major news. As you all know, Kundrati has spent the last fifty or so years as a nation with a highly regulated market. This is something that will be changing in the coming years. We will begin to slightly de-regulate the market. We will be allowing for more private companies here in Kundrati, as well as opening a few private banks. The primary banks and the most important governments will continue to be owned by the government, but some more minor private companies will be allowed to exist with almost no government intervention. We hope that this will make Kundrati more appealing to foreign investors and allow for some competition in the market.

The leadership of the FPS has announced that bills exerting these changes will be coming into the Senate in the coming months.

Last week's primary election's votes are in, and the results could not have been any clearer. Martie Aregita will be the candidate for Prime Minister from the Social-Democratic Party.
This primary has been the one with the biggest amount of candidates, six, in FPS history. It is also the first primary since the party changed its name from the "Socialist Worker's Party" to the "Social-Democratic Party".

Amongst the candidates, we had many new and old faces. The candidates were: Solon Egoaburu, Adrius Felix, Pius Castus, Martie Aregita, Oidor Gamboa and Milphio Martius. Former PMs Egoaburu, Felix, and current PM Castus all competed for re-election, whilst Gamboa, Martius and Aregita were trying to win their first term. Aregita eventually succeded, making her the first female candidate for the FPS in over 40 years, the previous one being Cardea Iovis, who passed away nearly a decade ago. Not only that, but she is the 3rd EVER female candidate for the FPS, with founder Nettuna Libitina being the first and previously mentioned Iovis the second.

This election was also the biggest for the FPS, as it had a turnout of slightly under 40 million.

Today, the spokesperson for Kundrati Weapons Manufacturer gave an announcement. They will be stopping development on the new aircraft for the airforce. This is due to costs and to the fact that the development was taking extremely long. They specified that development is only being temporarily halted, but that will continue in the near future. They announced that instead, KMW will be focusing on a new standard weapon for the military. They said that development on this new weapon began nearly a year ago, but that they wanted to make sure that it was viable. Now that they have, they will be focusing solely on it.

Our military currently uses 2 main weapons; the L85A2 and the FN-17S. These two weapons were first designed in the late 4790's, and although they have received upgrades and have been kept up to date fairly well, they are still extremely old models. The spokesperson said that KMW had been careless and had forgotten to replace the model with a new one. This was made worse by the July Uprising, the 4852 Crisis and the Ousting of Adrius Felix. These events all caused KMW to lose records and made them forget about designing a new model.

The new model in question is the FX-05 (ooc: FX-05 Xiuhcoatl). It is a gas-operated carbine rifle with a rotating bolt. It uses 5.56x45mm ammunition. It is also a lot lighter than the L85A2. It also has a folding stock for more versatility.

With the announcement of the new carbine came the news that Endralonian corporation "Incorporated Security Units" or "ISU", has purchased 1500 EDCX-9 handguns and 50 CB-90 fast assault boats. The handgun will be delivered immediately, and the boats over a 2-year period.
