After months of internal debate within the Social-Democratic Party, the new "Shift to the Centre" bill has been approved by the majority of party members. With this support, the bill has been put to a vote. It counts with the support of 407 of the 545 FPS senators. The party is hoping to gain their support, as well as of the 64 UMP senators in the coming months. On the opening day of voting, Prime Minister Aregita herself went to the Senate to deliver a speech as to why they should vote yes.

The bill itself contains some proposals regarding everything from lowering taxes to deregulating the stock market.
The full list of the changes in the bill is the following.

• Allowing all advertisements
• Lower the tax percentage on corporations' profit by 20%
• Allow privately owned defence corporations
• Creating a 12.5% tax on essential goods*
• Allowing private universities in Kundrati
• Lowering minimum worker representation in corporate boards to 1/3
• Lowering the tax on luxury goods to 12.5%*
• Lifting the ban on monopolies on some sectors of the economy
• Allowing religious clothing/symbols to be worn in public buildings
• Deregulating the stock exchange

*There will also be a new tax called the Added Value Tax, or AVT. It will add 12.5% to the cost of every single product sold in Kundrati.

After its announcement in December of 4861, it has been announced that the new FX-05 Carbine Rifle will be entering streamline production starting next year. The rifle went through some bumps in testing that made it take longer to be considered prepared, such as a barrel that would overheat rather quickly. This would cause the rifle's accuracy to drop a significant amount. This has now been fixed, and testers have said that the rifle is a wonder to handle.

KMW factories are getting ready to start producing them in grand quantity. As of today, only 349 rifles have been built.

On other news, Davostan purchased an undisclosed number of Altay tanks from KMW. Although talks about the purchase started some time ago, the economic recession and Felix's Ousting caused the purchase to be delayed. Now, with the beginning of production on the FX-05, KMW can focus on building the tanks. This is also possible due to the fact that the purchase of guns and patrol boats by Endralonian corporation Incorporated Security Units (ISU) has now been completed at 100%.

Martius at a NACTO meeting

Today we received shocking news from the Palace of Governature, as it was announced that Milphio Martius, Secretary of Foreign Affairs and Chief Administrator of NACTO, passed away today. He died after being involved in a car accident involving a drunk driver who ran him over as he was crossing the street. He spent over eight hours in the operating room but the doctors were unable to do anything.

He was born in 4795 to a working family. His father worked in a KMW factory whilst his mother worked on a farm. He was able to enter the University of Galemia at the age of nineteen. There he studied International Relations. After he completed his degree, he joined the Social-Democratic Party, then Socialist Worker's Party during the Iovis Era. He started as a nobody, working in a small office in Pilgon. He rose through the ranks and eas eventually appointed mayor of the small village during the Verona Era. After the infamous Zabalbeascoa-Indacoa duel and the following appointment of Zabalbeascoa as Chair of the Supreme Council of Workers, Maritus rebelled. He did not agree with Zabalbeascoa's view of Kundrati as a superpower. He led protests in Pilgon and when the July Uprising protests took place, he was one of the ringleaders in Pilgon. After Solon Egoaburu rose to power, he saw his potential and appointed him Secretary of Foreign Affairs, a wise move, as his actions brought closer ties with Rildanor, Kalistan, Narikaton, Davostan and the entirety of Northern Artania. He was also a vital part of the creation of NACTO, being appointed Chief Administrator.

Although he will be missed, Prime Minister Aregita did not wait long to announce who Martius's replacement will be. It is Lena Iovis, Granddaughter of Cardea Iovis, who was Kundrati's last Consul from 4803 to 4809 and was then Chairperson of the Supreme Council of Workers from 4810 to 4820. Many wonder if Lena Iovis only landed the position due to her heritage, she has, however, served as Undersecretary to Martius for over 3 years now. It is to be seen how good of a job she will do.

The KSS Vespacius

Today we received the official announcement from the Secretariat of the Navy that the light aircraft carrier "KSS Vespacius" will be undergoing a 3-year maintenance period. This is not the first time this has happened, as it went through a similar period back in 4849. This time, however, it is different. The carrier was first introduced 33 years ago in 4833 and has seen little to no combat, only engaging in the July Uprising, where it was heavily damaged. It being so old, means that the maintenance required every time is longer and more thorough. Many parts need constant replacing to keep up to date. And some of these parts cannot be replaced, meaning that the carrier is slowly falling behind its equivalents in other nations.

We have also received reports that the carrier is in worse shape than the last time, and as such, it will require a lot of extra work for it to be in shape again. Because of this, many say that the government might decide that the carrier is not worth saving and that it might be decommissioned. It might be opened as a museum teaching particularly about the Kundrati War of Secession and the July Uprising.

Prima Ministra Aregita has announced that in the event tat the carrier is decommissioned, we will not build another one. Instead, the budget will go into focusing in other parts of the military.

Sad news from the Secretariat of the Navy, as they have announced that the Invincible-class light aircraft carrier KS Vespacius will be decommissioned. This comes after it started maintenance in 4866. At the time many were concerned that the carrier was too old and too damaged to be fixed to a standard in which it could see active duty. It is now clear that this was, in fact, true. Inside sources tell us that the damage was extensive all around. Rusting propellers, dirty torpedo tubes and a weak deck were amongst some of the problems that were found in the carrier. Although the crew in charge of maintenance did their best to try ad fix this, there was too much damage.

Not only this, but the ship is also too old. Much of the ship is too outdated. Although some parts can be renewed, such as when CALA-30 deck cannons were included to replace old ones, much of the ship is just impossible to renew. Things such as components inside the engines that are extremely outdated. A carrier with equipment as outdated as this one's equipment is would mean that it would be at a massive disadvantage when engaging with other similar carriers, especially as this is a light aircraft carrier, meaning that it is a lot smaller and less powerful.

The carrier will now be opened as a boat-museum in Jildrati Island. The budget that was previously consumed in maintaining it operational will now be used in developing a new fighter.

Kundrati firefighters in Keymon

After spending the past couple of weeks coordinating, today a team of Kundrati firefighters arrived at Keymon to help fight the wildfire deemed "Roussis Complex". This came after Secretary of Foreign Affairs Lena Iovis reached out to the island nation to offer our assistance.

The aid itself consists of a team of 88 firefighters, 11 teams. An extra 24 smokejumpers will be joining them. Each of these teams has a captain. In addition to these 64 firefighters, an additional 37 men will be deployed to help with logistics, piloting and maintenance. All personnel going is a volunteer. In terms of equipment, the first of it to arrive will be 2 tanker planes and 2 transport helicopters. Later, 11 fire engines will arrive by boat. This boat will also carry any other necessary equipment. All of these figures are only initial and are subject to change if the situation worsens, or if it is deemed that more assistance is necessary.

The main task of the Kundrati firefighters will be to join Keymonite crews and help them. They will also help replace them, so they can rest. They will also provide assistance in places in which the Keymonite firefighters might be spread too thin.

The first smokejumpers and firefighter teams have already arrived at the scene and started helping.
We hope that this catastrophe can be contained in the near future.

People on the streets mourning for the victims

Today we bring sad news from Riverford, following a terrorist attack that left 9 dead and over 30 wounded. The attack targeted an official office of the Secretariat of Foreign Affairs. This office was in charge of emitting passports, granting citizenship, among other duties that could not be done in the main office in Kasaema, as they would overload the staff there.

The attack happened at 7:39 AM. As people were walking into the building, an explosion went off in the northeastern corner of the building. People started evacuating immediately, and the fire department arrived only five minutes later to help contain the fire that had been caused by the explosion. At first, many believed that the explosion had been caused by a failure on the gas line that passed just under the building. This changed when, a few hours after the attack, the organisation known as "Anti-Endralon Front for National Sovereignty" or "AEFNS" claimed responsibility for the attack. This was confirmed when the Kundrati Special Service (KSS) was looking at footage of the accident. They saw a man entering a bathroom carrying a black backpack and leaving the bathroom without it. The location of the bathroom was the same as the location from which the explosion originated, so they were fairly certain about this. After identifying the man, the KSS also discovered that the man had travelled to Davostan in the past week and had met with suspected AEFNS members there. He was arrested earlier this evening.

The AEFNS claiming responsibility for the attack is certainly concerning, as they were previously only active in Davostan. The fact that this anti-Endralon movement is spreading might pose a risk for NACTO as a whole if it spreads to other nations in the regional organisation. We still don't know what the views of the Kundrati branch of AEFNS, but they are likely to differ somewhat from the ones from Davostani members. One thing is clear, the members of this organisation have shown that they will stop at nothing to get what they want.

Following yesterday's match for the final in the KFL 4872 Aperture, in which the Islanders FA defeated the Arkham Bats 3-2 in a tense match that went to overtime, the Kundrati Football Association (KUNFOAS) announced that for the 4873 season, there will be a regulation change. The current League format was implemented back in 4858, and divided the Season into two Periods; Aperture and Closure. The winner of each of these Periods would then face each other for the Championship of the entire season. The rest of the table would be decided by adding the results of the teams in both periods. At the time, this was a good idea, as the KFL was rather small, with only 15 competing teams, meaning that we would either need a shorter season or to repeat matches a lot, which the KUNFOAS though was not only too expensive but not entertaining for the audience. Over time, however, the league has grown massively. It went from 15 teams in 58' to 24 in 65' and 40 in 72', with four new teams entering the league next year. With such a large amount of teams, so many consecutive matches meant that there was a problem with venues and not having enough stadiums to play in. there were also so many teams and so many dates in the calendar that most teams were unable to cope, with injuries being a constant.

The change to the regulations and format fixes all of this. First of all, there will now be a division in the league. We will have the KFL and the KFL-B. The KFL-B will act as a second division, under the KFL. The KFL will have the top 22 teams in the championship, with the KFL-B having the bottom 22. Who is in the KFL and KFL-B for the 4873 season will be determined by the results of all teams on the 4872 Closure. The new teams coming in next year will all go into the KFL-B. Once this format is established, the top 2 teams in the KFL-B will automatically replace the 21 and 22 teams in the KFL. The 3rd in KFL-B will play a decider match against the 20th in the KFL to decide who goes to the KFL.

As for the league structure, it will be the same for both the KFL and KFL-B. All teams will first compete in a Round Robin format, with each team playing against all the others once. Once al the games are complete, the top four will advance to a small elimination stage. The 1st will go against the 4th and the 2nd against the 3rd. A spokesperson for KUNFOAS said that this was to give a chance for some exciting matches. They said it was also to avoid one team being superior to everyone else on a consistent basis, and having the same champion for a decade. Once these "semifinals" are done, the winners of the matches will face each other in the Final. The losers will go to a match for 3rd. The two teams that go to the final will also be the ones attending the Terra League. It remains to be seen whether the format will work, but it is easy to say we are very excited to see how it goes.

The Endralonian corporation known as The Fashion Company (TFC) has been announced as the official provider of uniforms for all teams. Individual teams can choose to opt-out if they want, but having a single manufacturer will be cheaper for everyone.
