Royal Hutorian Navy Scores Stunning Victory in the Sea of Macon

Even as it faces an invasion of it's homeland, the Hutorians have proven they are willing to take the fight back to the enemy in the harshment possible terms, and while Kivonian forces attempt to push into Hutori their Navy faced a stunning and through defeat at the hands of the Royal Hutorian Navy.

Having already been planned for the rumored coming Operation Archangel, the Hutorian 1st, 5th and 6th Fleets had been stationed to lure out the main body of the Kivoanian Navy into a decisive engagement in the Sea of Macon, south of Davostan and Hutori. The plan had Task Force-14, a Liberty class Destroyer and a quartet of Bekenial class Frigates, push aggressively into Kivonian waters, luring out the Kivonian Republican Navy , near the Tip of Artania, off of the coast of Endralon in international waters. The Kivonian, confident from their earlier victory against Task Force-13, pursuring the small Hutorian battle group where the Royal Navy's Combined Operations Fleet, under the command of Vice Admiral Patrick Grant was ready for them. The Sixth Fleet, recently released from service in Keymon come up from the south, while the 1st Fleet came from the north and west, hemming in the main body of the Kivonian Republican Navy, and the 5th Fleet, came straight from the east, having made its way to the battle from Port Prosperity.

The Kivonians had been fed false intelligence that both 2nd, 3rd and 5th Fleets, head quartered on the east coast of Hutori had been seen in the arctic ocean, guarding the North Macon Passage, and while the majority of the Fifth Fleet remains with the eastern Fleet, the HMHS-Timothy Drumf and the HMHS-Empress Sarah IV, two of Hutori's mammoth aircraft Carriers, joined the already present HMHS-Arianna Woodbury of First Fleet and the HMHS-King Alexander of Sixth Fleet, containing the Kivonian Navy in a naval square. Kept hemmed in on all sides, the Royal Hutorian Navy rained hell down on the Kivonians from the air, as punishing flights of HF-35F Super Twisters performed strafing runs with anti-ship missiles, and a number of Sentinel class Submarines picked off attempting to retreat Kivonian vessels.

While the Hutorians lost three Frigates, and a Destroyer with the feint, the absolute destruction of the greater part of the Kivonian Republican Navy gives Hutori and it's allies near absolutely Naval supremacy around Davostan, espceially if rumors hold true that the remaining elements of the Second and Fifth Fleets have joined with the Seventh Fleet, and began the passage around the North Macon Passage, to link up with the Dorvische Lieviean Sea Fleet.

While the situation on the ground is still critical, the Hutorian have proven that they are the masters of the waves.

Crown Prince Charles Perishes in Airstrikes, Galvanize Hutorians Forces to Hold the Line

Tragedy struck earlier today, as Crown Prince Charles, the Prince of Adelia, and a Major General in the Royal Marine Corps was killed, while he was organizing the defence the Harding River, and fighting a delayed actions with the 1st Marine Brigade. His Royal Highness Prince Charles had apparently defied orders to bring the 1st Marine Brigade further east and instead went north to evacuate civillians fleeing the advancing the Kivonian Army. Despite being outnumbered 4 to 1, the Marines of the 1st Marine Brigade fought on against the Kivonian 1st and 3rd Corps, delaying them long enough to detonate the bridges and allow Hutorian Army reinforcements to arrive en masse.

Image

The death of the Crown Prince, while likely accidental, threw the Marines into a frenzy and they fought all the harder to not only fight off the Kivonian but throw them back over the bridgehead they had created as the opening elements of the 5th Infantry Division arrived on scene.

While the Kivonian were focusing on pushing towards Bekenial with everything they had they had failed to capture Axminister in the south, which held the 2nd Marine Brigade, 10,000 troops, but more importantly also the 1st and 3rd Armoured Divisions, numbering at 50,000 troops, and equipped with the immensely powerful Leopard 2A7H tanks, that begun a thrust straight up out of the south, up the Harding River, straight into the vulnerable Kivonian right flank. Under the command of Lieutenant General Mason Berrigan, the I Armoured Corps, having heard of Prince Charles death, rammed hard into the flank, taking few prisoners, instead focusing on trapping the invading Kivonian 1st and 3rd Corps in Adelia itself, and destroying it in a surrounded battle, similar to what the Hutorian Expeditionary Force in Telamon had already accomplished.

Hutorians Fight Back on All Fronts

The invasion of Hutori from two other fronts had not gone ignored by Hutorian High Command and the invasions into mountains Lagard, and prarie like Falristan had long been prepared for.

Kivonian 5th Corps, which had been pushing into Lagard faced off against two well prepared and grizzled Hutorian Divisions. These forces had been preparing for a defence of Hutori's central province, and so had been well prepared the Kivonian thrust. The Hutorian 7th Mountain Infantry Division and legendary 9th Airborne Division, known as "Woodbury's Helldivers" after their mythic commander, Major General Steven Woodbury. The 9th Airborne Division had been preparing for a combat jump into Davostan proper while the 7th Mountain Infantry Division, Hutori's most elite mountain warfare specialists, had long been ready to fight in the Macon Mountain Range. Totallying 50,000 well entrenched troops, and being given direct fire support from nearby General Samantha Carter Air Force Base, the Kivonian 5th Corps had come directly into a grinder that the Hutorians had been prepared to feed them to. 5th Corps struggled to advanced against well prepared positions, hidden on mountain ledges and valleys, and coming under withering fire from HF-35D Super Blizzards and HF-44A Maelstorms, which quickly wrestled the air from Kivonian air forces and brought down righteous fury from the air.

Image
Soldiers of the 7th Mountain Infantry calling in Airstrikes

The most unfortunate invasion force, the 2nd and 4th Corps came directly into the wolverine's mouth as the invasion of Falristan put them heading towards Fort Carter. Fort Carter was the de-facto headquarters of the Hutorian Army, where their primary training facility was, and by an unfortunate twist of fate, where the Hutorians had been preparing their own invasion force of Davostan. 2nd and 4th Corps, came directly into the path of Hutori's Northern Army Command, consisting of 4th, 5th and 6th Armoured Divisions, the 10th Mechanized Infantry Division and the 14th and 21st Infantry Divisions, some 150,000 troops, with more troops arriving by the day. The second the Kivonian forces had come across the border, General Leah Cunningham, the newly appointed commander of all of Hutori's forces in the north, unleashed his three potent armoured divisions, to plunge directly into the invading 40,000 troops, fully intending on enveloping them, wiping them out, and then pushing straight across the border herself.

In the air, Hutori's air power, while take by surprise by the sheer amount of aircraft the Kivonian threw into the fight, they rallied quickly, bringing in squadrons from the east and north, and fought back with the highly advanced HF-35D and HF-44As that gave the Royal Hutorian Air Force the indomitable reputation that it had long since earned in the air of battle. Kivonian aircraft were swatted out of the air, while Hutorian JAS-39AS performing harsh strafing runs, and once Hutori owned the skies again, they would unleashed the deadly HB-0 Ghosts and HB-22 Emancipator Bombers, to level Davostan proper.

Governement of Hutori Evacuate to Port Prosperity

Following the recent attack on Adelia by the Kivonian Governement, the office of the Prime Minister has sent an official notice to the press. The governement announce that all members of parliament, all members of cabinet and their respective staff have been evacuate from Bekenial to Port Prosperity. Still according to the notice, this decision was meant to ensure the continuity of governement. Only one official spokesperson of the Prime Minister was left in Bekenial to ensure that communication with the local press can continue.

''We can assure to the people of Hutori and of Bekenial that this situation is only temporary. It's only precaution in case something bad would happen. The governement will be perfectly capable of administrating the country from Port Prosperity for the time being. We would also like to reassure to the people of Bekenial that for now, there is no reason to believe that we will need to evauate the capital itself. The option is not out of the table but we are fairly certain that the situation will be under control soon. We ask to the peopl Adelia to stay calm and disciplined in these trying time. All this will be over soon.''
-Remy Arnold, Spokesperson for the Prime Minister in Bekenial.

The Spokesperson specified that more messae for the press would come soon enough. For now, we are still in darkness about the long-term plan of the governement about this war.

BREAKING NEWS: NEWS FROM THE FRONT

Hutorian Third Army completed Encirclement of Remaining Kivonian Forces in Adelia

In a stunning reversal of fortunes, and with their determination girded from the death of Crown Prince Charles, the Prince of Adelia, Royal Army forces in Hutori's most southern province have succeeded in pinching off the most southern Kivonian invasion force.

Recently promoted General Mason Berrigan, commanding the newly formed Hutorian First Army, used the striking force of his armoured forces to pinch off the Kivonian salient and completely surrond the Kivonian 3rd Corps. The Kivonian 1st Corps, with its retreat covered by 3rd Corps's sacrifice was able to limp back across the border, under aerial harassment for most of their retreat. 3rd Corps meanwhile found itself stranded, stuck between the St. John River in the east and the Harding River in the west. I Armoured Corps threw pressure in from the west, cutting off the Kivonian retreat to the south and north, with the 2nd Marine Brigade holding the centre, daring the 3rd Corps to come into their defences, while the east, came the pursuing I Corps, comprising the Hutorian 1st Marine Brigade, 5th Infantry Division and newly formed 16th Mechanized Infantry Division, formed from the enlarging of the 16th Combat Brigade Group. 120,000 Combat troops surround the 3rd Corps, with the armoured pincers to the north and south, and angry Marines and Hutorian infantry squeezing the Kivonian 3rd Corps between them, intending to either force a surrender, or failing that, wiping 3rd Corps entirely off the map.

When asked General Mason Berrigan responded coldly.

If the Kivonians refuse to surrender, we will make Adelia their graveyard. What the Kivonians have visited on Hutori will be brought back on their heads.

Reports also confirmed that with the end of the Keymon Civil War, the 2nd Armoured Division and 6th Airborne Division had returned to Hutori and would be placing these combat veterans into the line with the newly activated 7th Armoured Division, once First Army was reinforced, giving Hutorians 280,000 combat troops in the south alone. Once 3rd Corps was taken care of, defence insiders believe that the Hutorians will pursue the remenants of 1st Corps across the border.

==============================================================

Kivonian Northern Invasion almost ground to dust as Hutorians refuse to yield Ground

The Kivonian invasion of Lagard continues to face unyielding defence the heavily depleted Kivonian forces are now facing overwhelming odds with the arrival of the 17th Infantry Division, reinforcing the 7th Mountain Infantry and 9th Airborne Division already in the line. This brings the total forces 5th Corps faces off against up to 75,000 troops, with Lieutenant General Roger Bishop, commander of II Corps and all Hutorian forces in Lagard, have begun a limited counter offensive, to begin forcing 5th Corps back over the border.

The real news story however comes in the north, as Hutorian launched Operation Onyare, named after the Onyare First Nation that almost came under threat of Kivonian assault. Generals Leah Cunningham and General Malcolm Hiawatha, the highest ranking Mashacara military officer in Hutori and former commander of the Northern Army Command, launched a combined assault with their Second and Third Armies, in a massive encirclement offensive, that both drew in the Kivonian 2nd and 4th Corps, in a massive cauldron, a tactic utilized by General Berrigan in the south, but on a much grander scale.

The two Hutorian Generals had purposefully allowed the Kivonian to advance towards Carter City and Fort Carter Army base, to lure them, despite inflicting massive casualiies on their Kivonian enemies, to give them the illusion of success before they sprung their trap. Third Army's IV Corps, held the centre, anchored by the almost entirely 14th and 17th Infantry Division, drawing the Kivonian into their defences. The target of the Kivonian offensive was in fact the lands of the Onyare First Nation, chosen specifcally by General Hiawatha to both embolden the defending troops, but also draw the Kivonians in with the promise of the fertile oil fields. On the northern wing however the first half of the counter offensive, was launched by his III Armoured Corps, with 5th and 6th Armoured Divisions, leading the charge, in a massive pinch sweep. General Cunningham meanwhile wheeled to the south with Second Army's III Corps, comprising the 20th and 21st Infantry Divisions, which placed themselves securely to secure the southern flank while II Armoured Corps, made up of the 4th Armoured Division and 10th Mechanized Infantry Division, finished the southern pincer and wheeled around to the west, cutting off the invading Kivonian forces into a massive encirclement battle.

The Kivonians, which had been whittled down to a little over 30,000 remaining effectives were now surrounded on four sides by 200,000 extremely angry Hutorians which, like their compatriots to the south, offered a single order for surrender, otherwise they would be ground into dust.

Hutorian Royal Navy Finishes Closing off Kivonia as Hutorian Aerial Blitz Begins

The Southern Operations Fleet, and Northern Operations Fleets of the Royal Hutorian Navy have completed on the seas what their land based brethern had accomplished on the battlefield, having linked up with the Dorvsiche Lienvian Sea Fleet, and enclosed Kivonian in a ring of steel on all three coasts. Following the defeat of the bulk of the Kivonian Republican Navy, the Hutorian Southern Operation Fleet, had moved near the coastline of Kivonian and it's southern islands, enforcing a total naval blockade, choking off Kivonian from any semblance of international trade, while the Northern Operations Fleet had closed off the northern and west coastline, enforcing a naval blockade and cutting off mainland access from the island of Dovmark to the rest of Davostan proper. This coincided with Hutorian air forces begin their long awaited offensive against Kivonian, with the full might of the Royal Hutorian Air Force, creeping into the eastern airspace of the Davostani mainland, sniping air detection systems, command and control sections and air bases, grounding what few aircraft the Kivonian had remaining and utterly blinding them in the air. Eastern Kivonian cities came under aerial bombardment from HB-0 stealth bombers, while border defences were softened up by HB-22 Emancipator bombers, firing cruise missles from hundreds of miles away to keep the Kivonian off balance.

Once the Kivonian forces in Hutori have been cleaned up, all expect the Hutorians to invade Davostan proper and with a vengence.

BREAKING NEWS:News From the Front; OPERATION ARCHANGEL IS GO

With the Kivonian invasion of Hutori stopped, and all remaining Kivonian soldiers in the Commonwealth either dead or captured and the Hutorian Royal Army at it's largest size since the Great Terran War, General Paul Warwick, the Chief of the Defence Staff authorized the launch of the long awaited Operation Archangel.

Operation Archangel was the codename was a long theorized Hutorian military plan for a war with Davostan that had been rumored to be have been held by Hutorian High Command since the days of King William III.

The Hutorian Army had divided itself into two distinct Army Groups; Army Group North and Army Group South.

Army Group North, under the overall command of General Malcolm Hiawatha, comprised the Hutorian Second, Third, Sixth and Eighth Armies, some 400,000 troops. By far the largest concentration of Hutorian soldiers, Army Group North punched straight across the border from Falristan into northern Kovmark, and began making their way straight through the northern end of the province to Sonderhavn, cutting the entire northern coastline off from the rest of the world, and beginning to encircle the entire mainland in a pincer of men, tanks and vehicles.

Army Group South, under the command of General Mason Berrigan, made up of the Hutorian First, Fourth and Fifth Armies, some 300,000 troops, meanwhile would push in a long a broader front. First and Fourth Armies would punch in from Adelia into Ostraland while Fifth Army came slowly across the border in Lagard, serving as the anchor for the two thrusts on it's opposite sides. Critically attached to the Fifth Army was the I Airborne Corps, containing both of Hutori's Airborne Divisions, the 6th and 9th. Just prior to the commencement of Archangel, the 6th and 9th Airborne Divisions were landed behind enemy lines, thanks to the Kivonian air picture in the eastern portion of their country being entirely dark. The 6th Airborne Division was landed in Kovmark and the 9th Airborne into Ostraland. They had the dual objectives of capturing critical junctions and infrastructure for the advancing Hutorian Army, and linking up with the Dovrische Fallshrimjager that had been harassing the Kivonian in their homeland for most of the past two years.

Lastly, the Hutorian Seventh Army, comprising both the IV Armoured Corps, formally the Hutorian Expeditionary Force-Telamon and the I Marine Corps, moved into Telamon to link up with Telamonic forces to prepare for Telamon's invasion of the Bindoberg islands. I Marine Corps was itching for the fight that was to come and avenge the fallen Crown Prince.

All told in the field, the Hutorians had fielded 790,000 ground troops, and each and every one of them were ready and eager to begin tearing the Kivonians apart for what they had dared attempt to do to their country and prove to them why Hutori was the most powerful nation on the Macon continent.

BREAKING NEWS:The Queen is Dead, Long Live the King

Image
Last known image of Her Majesty Queen Sarah VI, recieving word of the commencement of Operation Archangel

It is the passing of an era, as word has been recieved from the Garrison, on behalf of the Royal Family, that Her Imperial Majesty, Queen Sarah VI passed away late last night. The Queen's health had been failing for sometime, and it was said that the invasion of Hutori and the loss of her son, His Royal Highness Prince Charles, during the early days of the war, broke her heart. Insiders of the Garrison, the Royal Family's redoubt in Kenai where the Queen and her staff had been residing since the Kivonian invasion began, have stated that the Queen had felt the full weight of the war, but continued on to keep the people's spirits up. She sent out daily messages to Hutorians, and indeed sent out a special message for the members of the Armed Forces when she heard the last Kivonian troops had been repelled from Hutorian soil.

Allegedly, the Queen received an update from Prime Minister Norman, early in the day that Operation Archangel had been launched and Hutorian forces were now invading Kivonia. Upon hearing that, the Queen thanked the Prime Minister and continued through the day, though insiders noted it was as if a massive weight had been lifted from her shoulders. The following morning when she was attempted to be woken, she had peacefully passed in her sleep.

With Prince Charles having died, the throne passes on to the Queen's eldest grandson, Prince Isaac, the Duke of Acton who, thanks to the war, had never been confirmed as the new Prince of Adelia. Prince Isaac, who has apparently been working in Bekenial for the Hutorian Intelligence and Security Service, was coronated in a very quiet and subdued ceremony, with the new King stating outright, he didn't want anything as minor as a new coronation taking attention away from the war effort. The new King takes the throne as King Henry II.
