Message From the Leader of the Conservative Party of Hutori
Hello everyone,
With another election behind us I thought I would take the time to speak to my party, and to all Hutorians. I would like to start off by congratulating all new and returning MPs on their election night victories. Being an MP is a great honor and it comes with a lot of responsibility. You are the voice in parliament for thousands of Hutorians who expect you to voice their concerns and wishes on the floor of the house. It is not always easy and it takes a driven person to do it. I think there are a lot of very qualified MPs in that house now. As you all know, I lost my seat in Greater Prosperity West in this election. I would first like to thank the people of my riding for having the faith in me to elect me not once, but 3 times. I have been their MP for 10 years and it has been the best 10 years of my life. I congratulate the new Royalist Party MP on his win and wish him the best of luck over the next 4 years.
Next I must thank the members of the Conservative Party for electing me as their leader a little over 6 years ago. It has been an honor to represent the party as their leader. We have a strong caucus in the federal parliament which has now grown to 68 members. I have gotten to meet so many Hutorians and listen to their concerns and voice them in parliament. With great sadness I must now announce that I will be stepping down as Conservative Party Leader effective immediately. This is a tough decision to make but I believe it is what is best for the party as the leader should be a sitting member of parliament. Until the party chooses a new leader, Eddie Borell, the MP for Northside Prosperity will serve as Interim Leader.
I'd like to thank the Conservative Party for 6 amazing years as leader, and 10 as an MP. I am excited to watch this party grow under the next leader, whoever that may be.
Sincerely,
Riley Hill
