Royalist Parliamentary Leader, Tristan Shaw, uses a press conference to slam new parties that made huge gains in the last election.
Some say the Royalists are sore losers, others say they are simply defending the people who already feel as though their voices are not being represented by the new parties that overwhelmingly trumped the Royalists in last year's elections. Royalist Parliamentary Leader, Tristan Shaw, held a press conference earlier today and did not hold back his feelings about the policies being brought forward.
"We were heavily disappointed with the results of the rest election, however, this country is a democracy and we accept the results. However, I don't believe this is what Hutorians asked for. Hutorians didn't ask for a government that puts forward bills that have no focus and only seek to rip apart our nation. They want to cost the taxpayers billions by moving the capital to Sutton City, just to buy the votes of the Sutton Nationalist Party. They want to end our research of chemical and biological weaponry, research that allows us to create defenses for such attacks. They want to end our nuclear program, one of the key things that deters other nations from attacking us. They want to allow pornography on daytime television where it will be readily available for our children to view. They want to force companies to adhere to hiring quotas, instead of hiring those most qualified for the job.
The Royalist Party will always reject irresponsible governance. Even though we may not have earned your vote in the last election, we will still be your voice. We will always defend the hardworking people of this nation from tyrannical socialist governments. Parties who cannot even follow the simple rules of the house, which have been in place for hundreds, if not thousands of years, are clearly not capable of successfully running a government.
Lastly, the new parties may bring an end to the Hutorian Commonwealth, and reform us into a republic, but as long as Royalist members are elected to the House of Parliament, the monarchy will never die in Hutori. LONG LIVE THE EMPEROR!"
