HUTORI DEMANDS EMPEROR BE PLACED BEFORE COURTS!

Hutori today has demanded that the CIL (Constitutional Imperialist League), and the Luthorian Monarch himself be tried for crimes against humanity. The Hutorian Foreign Affairs Minister had this to say,

"this Bill i have in my hand - http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill. ... lid=315338 - is a Bill that authorises the slaughter of the Luthorian people. They are to be executed for wanting a reform of government. Should the Bill earlier referenced pass through the Luthorian Legislature then the Luthori Empires Monarch must be placed on trial for murdering his own people and any party that votes in favour of the Bill must as well. The innocent murder of Luthorian citizens who want to end autocratic rule of tyrants is a disgrace that states like Indrala, Husltria and etc. will turn a blind eye to. Hutori has already stressed we will defend these rebels and if Luthori begins murder then Hutori will persue a League of Terran Nations resolution to invade Luthori and depose the Monarch and put him before judgement."

A NEW LEADER EMERGES

The Hutori National Party has appointed Rt Hon Liam Quinlan MP, as the new Prime Minister of Hutori. Mr Quinlan's first move as new PM is to declare the policy of ethnically cleansing the Maschacaran people. The new Prime Minister has also opened the Hutorian borders for both foreign nationals and the Hutorian people. Another move made by the new PM is to try an seal an Act of Union with the Keymoni State.

The Hutorian people are surely pleased with the new Leader of the Hutorian state. The HNP is unlikely to loosen its grip on Hutorian politics for many years but there is nothing to say that a HNP one-party state cannot have civil freedoms and rights for the people of Hutori.

QUINLAN PAVES WAY FOR DEMOCRACY

Today the Prime Minister, Liam Quinlan has set the foundations for democracy in Hutori. Mr Quinlan has abolished laws that ban opposition movements and now numerous parties will be able to contest seats in the Hutorian House of Parliament (http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill. ... lid=315571). Quinlan has also disbanded the Hutorian National Party and established the Hutorian Conservative Party that will contest elections on the manifesto of a small-state, capitalist policy. PM Quinlan has turned Hutori from a totalitarian state to a fledging democracy in just a few months in power.

OPPOSITION EMERGES

Just weeks after the government of Hutori allowed opposition political movements to emerge, the Labour Party and the Popular Alliance of Hutori have been re-estbalished. Both had been shut down by the HNP totalitarian state, but now there is competition in the upcoming general election of October 3081. Commentators believe that a Hutorian Conservative victory in the election would be a miracle, with the vast majority of voters most likely going to opt for one of the new political movements.

The Labour Party has signalled its intent and is one of Hutori's most successful "workers" parties in recent Hutorian history. Meanwhile, silence from the Popular Alliance with the general public unaware of their policies at this moment. The Hutorian Conservatives have promised reform and set out a full-scale reform agenda, but with recent HNP government hanging over their head it is widely believe they are facing an electoral demolition.

RESULTS ARE IN

In the first post-HNP dicatorship general election, in which four parties contested the election the results are in.

http://classic.particracy.net/viewnews.php?newsid=293849

The Liberal Party was returned as the winner and have formed a government with the newly-established Hutorian Conservative Party. The Labour Party and Popular Alliance will form the opposition in the Hutorian House of Parliament. Many commentators have been amazed at the formerly HNP, now Conservative Party's ability to remain a part of the Cabinet. After decades of totalitarian rule, many thought the HCP would be obliterated at the polls, but they have bounced back convincingly. The only dissapointment of the election was the low turnout of 16%. Hopefully as the Hutorian people get used to elections, voter turnout will increase.

Overall the first democratic elections in decades have been a success, for the Liberal Party and the Hutorian Conservative Party.

COUNTRY IN STANDSTILL

The date is 23rd November 3106, it has been over a year since the general election of 3105 and Hutori still does not have a government. There are no ministers in the Cabinet and this means there is no-one to implement policies passed by the Hutorian House of Parliament. There have been Cabinet proposals for a CON-SDP/RP coaliton, SDP/RP-LABOUR coaliton and a CON minority government. However the House of Parliament has rejected all of the proposed governments and Hutori remains in political limbo.

The people of Hutori are becoming increasingly frustrated, policies they voted for in the general election cannot be implemented due to the fact there are no ministers to implement them. Surely a resolution is needed before all aspects of Hutorians daily lives are ground to a halt. All members of the civil service have been placed on leave without pay - due to the fact there is no work. The public sector is crippled under the lack of work and Hutori risks descention into anarchy! We can only hope that MP's in the House of Parliament can get a grip on this dire situation - contain the crisis - and form a government that the Hutorian people want!

CIVIL WAR ON OUR DOORSTEP?

In an increasingly fragile situation - it appears Telamon is headed for a full scale civil war. According to Bekenial Dispatch reporters in Telamon, the sticking issue is between the Convergence and Union and the United Telamon Parties. It appears that the Convergence and Union are simply refusing to acknowledge their defeat in the most recent general election - where they lost the position of Head-of-State to the United Telamon. The C&U have threatened civil war and Hutori is preparing itself for the worst.

A Bekenial Dispatch source close to the Hutorian government has leaked that there has been contact between Telamoni Parties and the Hutorian government. Hutori is already preparing for a potential large number of refugees fleeing Telamon and Hutori is also preparing to be a possible peace-maker. Although military intervention would like to be avoided it remains an option due to the continued disagreements within the Telamoni Parliament. The Hutorian Prime Minister has already made clear his desire for the situation to be resolved peacefully and in a manner that suits all parties involved.

This issue is becoming increasingly tedious. The C&U must accept defeat in the elections for progress to be made and as of today no such statement has been issued. The people of Telamons right to choose their government must be recognised. Hutori will intervene if requested and some Imperialists in Hutori are calling for a military occupation of Telamon and the creation of a Hutorian Empire.

IMPERIALISTS VICTORIOUS

With elections on the way, the republican parties have announced they will not be contesting the elections. This is a huge victory for the Hutorian Monarchy, the Hutorian people and the two pro-Monarchy parties - the Hutorian Conservative Party and the Imperial Democrats. This announcement comes just after there was a successful ratification of a Supreme Hutorian Constitution that takes precedence over any other document in Hutori. This document seals the Monarch as the true Head-of-State of Hutori and binds Hutori into the ways the nation has been run for centuries.

Hutori has now binded vested traditions into official written documents. This is a massive success for the Pro-Monarchists in Hutori. What remains to be seen is whether the Hutorian Conservatives and Imperial Democrats continue their coalition government now that they are the only two Hutorian political parties. Will their longstanding friendship be comprimised by total power in the Hutorian Parliament? This is unclear but many believe both parties will remain in a coaliton regardless of who wins the upcoming elections.

CONSERVATIVE LANDSLIDE!

In the general election of 3110, the Hutorian Conservative Party lead by the current Prime Minister Duke Liam Quinlan, have won by a landslide. In the two-party election between the Hutorian Conservative Party and the Imperial Democrats - the HCP polled 70% of the popular vote. This gives the HCP an unassailable majority in the House of Parliament for the next four years. Issues of the economy, civil liberties and foreign policy have lead to mass support for the HCP. The issue of Luthori still remains a thorny issue in Hutori and the public will be looking to the HCP to resolve the issue and bring a victory to Hutori.

http://classic.particracy.net/viewnews. ... sid=295827

The HCP prior to the election have stated that they wish for the Imperial Democrats to be members of the cabinet and whether there are any Cabinet changes made remains to be seen. What we do know is that the HCP do have a reform agenda for Hutori and they shall implement it unopposed given their tremendous victory.

The King is dead, long live the King!
