The NSF seeks "Salvation Government"

When the NSF started, it was known to propose cabinet proposals that would include every party in the legislature. After the elections of 4554, and the decisive victory of the NSF, however, those feeling dissolved, In the Consitutional Ciris of 4554, the NSF formed a temporary government with the NPP in order to abolish the monarchy.

Now the NSF is hoping to create a "Salvation Government", here is what the SPokesperson told us just moments ago:

The NSF wishes to establish a Salvation government. That is our main goal. To form a cabinet that includes all aspects of Hutorian life... communists, liberals, conservatives, even monarchists. We are now seeing that the ruling NPP is unable to work at all with the RCP or the LIB (Roy). We predict that if we do not have national reconciliation, we will face a divided hutori: One republican lead by the NPP, the other monarchist lead by the RCP. Thus we ask that the NPP form a Salvation government.

It should be noted that the NSF was not included in the most recent cabinet proposal by the NPP.

National Progress Party will have a leader once again

This morning, the leadership council of the National Progress Party announced that the party will reinstitue the position of ''leader'' inside their organisation. The party, that had abolished the position in 4547 after their brutal expulsion of their leader Britany Owen, say they are now ready to elect a leader once again.

''We tried to manage the party without a leader. It was a experiment and that experiment didn't worked the as good as we tought it would. After the... Kate Smith incident.. we clearly realised that the leadership council couldn't rule the party alone and that we would need a strong leadership figure to guide the party and the nation to victory.''
-Justine Bates, President of Hutori and Spokesperson of the Leadership Council of the National Progress Party

The Chairman of the Party, Lincey Daniel, specified that the leadership council of the National Progress Party wouldn't be abolished but it's ultimate power wouldn't simply be decrease. The Chairman also anounced that following this announce, a leadership lection will be organise inside the party to determinate who the next leader would be. So far, only two serious candidate have come forward to run for the office:

-David West, 34 years old, current minister of Foreign Affairs
-Justine Bates, 26 years old, current President of Hutori
-Parti de dieu (Alduri) inactive
-National Progress Party (Hutori) active
-Græna Demókratar (Telamon) inactive

Alternative for Hutori Founded

ACTON, ADELIA — At a meeting of the Local Parties Conference at the Acton Conference Center, a surprise announcement was made by former TV news anchor Robert Bell: that a significant group of local parties, including Acton Democrats, Mashacara Action, and Federal Monarchy Society will be coming together to form a mishmash of disaffecteds known as Alternative for Hutori. Bell, the leader of Acton Democrats, will be the parliamentary leader for the party. Albert Ronald, leader of Federal Monarchy Society, will serve as party chairman.
Political scientists approached by the HBC say that they this is a “blue moon” alliance that may not last past when its pet issues are settled.

Tories throw support behind Steuart-Carmichael for President

Image
Jessica Myer (left) and Mélina Giroux (centre) joined Eric Steuart-Carmichael for a press conference in Bekenial earlier today

At a press conference in Bekenial today Conservative leader Mélina Giroux and Liberal leader Jessica Myer announced that neither would be running in the upcoming Presidential election and would be throwing their support behind Eric Steuart-Carmichael, who the Liberals have announced is their candidate. Steuart-Carmichael is the youngest son of Hutori's last monarch Empress Sarah V.

After months of speculation surrounding the future of the current governing coalition, the parties announced that they intend to work together heading into the election to take down President Justine Bates and the National Progress Party, though didn't confirm if they would look to form a coalition together afterwards. We spoke with political scientist Hamish Johnson from the University of Bekenial and he shared some insight into this unusual alliance and why it has come about.

"While it seems that this coalition is unusual, it really shouldn't. The Conservatives may have vastly different social policy views, but on economic policy these two parties agree on almost everything. I would expect to see some sort of coalition formed by these two parties after the election if they are successful. As for why this coalition is happening, we have seen a large dip in popularity of the National Progress Party, with some polls suggesting the president's approval rating is below 20% and the party as a whole is hovering around 20% in most polls. It seems like there is some opportunism involved in this Liberal-Conservative alliance, and frankly it's the smart thing to do right now for all sides. The Conservatives have been stuck in opposition for a couple election cycles now, and the Liberal Party needs a new coalition partner who will support their economic plans."

Alternative Announce Endorsement of Steuart-Carmichael For President

Image
AH Leader Robert Bell (File)

FEDERAL DISTRICT OF BEKENIAL — Robert Bell, leader of the Alternative for Hutori, announced that his party in their first contested election would not run their own candidate, but support that of another party. “This nation has seen a failure in leadership from the National Progress Party,” Bell said in a speech in Bekenial. “We need to root out their monopoly on politics, starting with their corrupt President!”

Bell went on to say that he hopes that monarchists will provide a United “natural front” that will bring together a cabinet.

NSF endorses Eric Steuart-Carmichael

Image

The NSF has today agreed to endorse the Liberal (Royalist) HoS candidate Eric Steuart-Carmichael. Although the NSF had voted for the abolishing of the monarchy in exchange for Provincial Governments, the NPP backed out, and the NSF was largely left out of national politics, despite being the 2nd largest party in the nation.

The Spokesperson of the NSF has released a statement:

The NSF has become feed up with the NPP, playing on both sides in order to achieve their personal wants, whilst not following up on any agreements. Thus the NSF has agreed to withdraw its candidate from the HoS elections and has agreed to endorse Eric Steuart-Carmichael. The NSF also agrees with the AH on the need for the formation of a 'natural front.'

Political Analysts say the NSF is hoping for a large anti-NPP coalition. The NSF has been known to be willing to work with any party in order to form stable governments that "represent the needs of the Hutorian people". Political analyst Tom Richard fomr the University of Adelia says:

This is seeming more like an anti-NPP big tent coalition that it is a right-wing or monarchist one. The NPP has dominated cabinets form the past decades, and I think parties want to change that. the NSF has been known to prefer big-tent coalitions that are not ideologically bound. It tried forming one to abolish the narchy in exchange for State governments but failed. I think what might happen is that this coalition will secure at least 60% of the votes. They might be able to pass sweeping reform, that will allow for them to restore a monarchy and establish state governments later on. Buti tikn it is safe to say the NPP age of ruling over Hutori is now over.

Alternative Leader Robert Bell Launches Manifesto

Image

WOODHURST, LAGARD -- Alternative for Hutori Leader Robert Bell gave a special speech at the Woodhurst Bekenball Arena to a crowd of over 1000 laying out the Alternative Plan, a five point manifesto that lays out exactly what the party hopes to accomplish. Political commentators lambasted the party for their lack of clarity, leading to this manifesto launch.

"Our first election will see a rally around monarchist causes, against the National Progress Party, who have deprived this nation of unity, and most importantly have not provided consistent leadership. Alternative will join a coalition of parties fighting for Hutori. Our seat at the table is unique, however: we will not only be representing national interests. We will be pledging ourselves to the Mashacara, to liberty, and to the belief that local governments are the most accountable to the citizens.

The five planks of this platform are as follows:
- The installation of a constitutional monarch in a democratic system.
- Growing the number of ridings to at least 400 to represent the most systems as possible.
- Devolution of education, electricity, and other issues to local governments
- Establishing a national supreme court to ensure that the monarch and government are controlled
- Create a special system for treatment of Mashacara settlements to make sure their rights are reserved

Liberal Party Grateful for Wide-scale Endorsements

Image
Federal Liberal Leader Jessica Myer (left) with the endorsed Liberal Presidential Candidate Eric Steuart-Carmichael

In a press conference this morning, Federal Liberal Leader stated that she was extremely grateful for the outpour of support for their Presidential Candidate
... I am so so grateful for the Royal Conservatives, NSF and Alternative for Hutori for endorsing this great man beside me. This election is not about left-right politics, but one of ending an era of political scandals and stagnation for Hutori. The NNP have failed the Hutori people time and time again, most recently, their failure to vote for a wide range of tax cuts for Hutori families. We look forward to a new era, one filled with prosperity and political integrity.

NSF proposes a Resolution OCndeming NPP

Image

The NSF has proposed a Resolution that would condemn the NPP.

We, the parties representing the great people of Hutori,

CONDEM the National Progress Party for its actions regarding:

- Abolishing the monarchy

- Refusing to Ratify the Anti-Terrorism Cooperation Treaty (http://classic.particracy.net/viewtreat ... atyid=4365)

- Not proposing a plan for National Reconciliation to prevent a fracturing of the Union of this nation

- Not proposing serious reforms through its term

Thus, our parties join in condemning the NPP and agree to not include it in the cabinet after the elections of 4559.

The Resolution is seen as a symbolic gesture by the NSF.

the HBC recived this link from an NSF party offcila who did not want to be named

Everyone is rallying around Senator Eric Steuart-Carmichael, the former Prince and now Senator for Dalry-Thomas. Throw your support behind him, and if we win, you WILL have a slot at the cabinet table.

the NSF official claimed this was an email; sent between the NSF and the LIB (Roy). However, HBC could not independently verify this.

Liberal-Tory Alliance Makes Final Push for Election

Image
Jessica Myer, Mélina Giroux and Eric Steuart-Carmichael were all smiles as they spoke to media following a rally in Port Prosperity

With just weeks remaining until the election, the Liberal-Conservative Alliance has been making a strong final push across the country. The leaders of the 2 parties, Jessica Myer and Mélina Giroux, and their presidential candidate Eric Steuart-Carmichael have been touring for the last 2 months holding rallies and town halls in every corner of the nation. The momentum seems to be building and it looks as though we are on the verge of electing the first non-NPP President in 2 decades.

Most polls show Steuart-Carmichael ahead of incumbent Justine Bates, with some even showing the gap to be upwards of 15%. In the Senate race, most projections show the Liberals and Tories both winning less seats than the NPP, but combined their alliance would hold a majority.
