" I have so much respect for Jack. He is a true parliamentarian and has shown his willingness to work with MPs of all political stripes, and help build strong legislation. I'd be remiss if I didn't also thank the Scientian Enclave and the National Party for their help in building this great piece of legislation that will ensure that workers are only striking for the right reasons, while also holding employers accountable when they wrongfully dismiss workers who have a reasonable cause to strike."
"Thank you everyone. It has been an absolute honor to serve you as your MP for the last 50 years. I have had the honor and privilege to serve under many great Conservative and Royalist Party Leaders. When I was first elected, Aaron Scheer was in his last few months as leader, in that short time he taught me so many valuable lessons that I would remember for my entire 50 years in that house. I also served under 3 incredible Royalist Chancellors, Pascale Rousseau, Brett Martin, and Natalie Cook. I thank all of them for their leadership. I would also like to thank Dylan Jourdain for being an incredible Caucus Leader for the last 17 years of my career. Many people ask me, what was your proudest moment as an MP. To each and everyone of them, I say that it was 8 years ago, when I got to watch my daughter be sworn in as the MP for Prosperity Hills West. At that time, I knew that not only had I done my best serving all of you, but I had also raised a daughter who cared about her community as much as I do. Thank you for putting your faith in me for the last 50 years, and I wish the new MP for Prosperity Westmount, Kyle Cooper all the best."
"Empress Mary expresses her sincerest gratitude to Michelle Jones for her 50 years of service to the people of Prosperity Westmount. She has given her life to her community and always put the needs of her constituents first. The House of Steuert-Charmichael thanks her for her service, and is pleased to announce that at a ceremony later this year, she will be Knighted by Empress Mary."
"Thank you for coming everyone. Today marks the beggining of a new chapter in my political career. I have served in Parliament for more than 20 years. I couldn't be more grateful to each and every one of you who have repeatedly sent me to Bekenial to represent you. I have had the honor to serve as Finance Minister in multiple governments, and to serve as the leader of the Conservative Caucus in the Royalist Party. It is because of your support that I am where I am today, and now I ask for your support again. This time it is not just to Fairview Prosperity to re-elect me as your MP, but to all of Hutori to elect me as your next President. I have had the honor to serve under 2 extraordinary Presidents, but now I believe it is time we finally elect a Royalist President. I must thank the Royalist Party for selecting me as their candidate. I would also like to thank each and every MP that I have worked with in Parliament for helping me become the man I am today. It is not only a new chapter in my life, but a new chapter in the history of this great nation!"
Dylan is a good man. He sticks to his guns. I'd like to think I'm the same way. No, I will not be running for re-election. If I wanted to be a monarch and stick around for my entire life, I would have tried to marry Empress Mary!
Right now, I'm not focused on the elections that will happen in 3 years time. I'm focused on two things: ending this war, and reforming our tax code. As long as I can get those two issues done, I see no reason to run for re-election.
Many nations are tied in with Trigunia, and it's economy fails there's does as well. Hutori is the leader of the Keris Macon bloc, and despite whatever political differences are between our nations, we are as one. Business is business, and if the Trigunian government approves, myself and several of my collegues will inject hundreds of millions into Trigunia, to save their industry, shore up their economy, and better both of us for the future.
"we admit that the results of this past election were not in our favour. We lost the Presidential election, and lost 56 incredible MPs. We believe part of this is due to Hutorian voters feeling like the government that has served for the last 8 years hasn't done anything of much significance for them. This, in our opinion is due to the USPH's unwillingness to work with us to get things done. After serving in cabinet with the Ultrackian Socialist Party for the last 8 years, we have realized just how hard they are to work with, and have come to the conclusion that we just cannot do it anymore. We realize that it will be impossible for us to form a cabinet without them, and therefore will sit in opposition for the next 4 years. We cannot serve in cabinet with them any longer, and certainly cannot serve under an Ultrackian President."
"The New Liberals have never been so consequential to a government before. they are in a situation where as long as the Royalists, Nationalists, and Democrats hold firm, no government position will pass without the New Liberals. If the government goes off the deep end, the New Liberals can push back. Yes, they are the smallest party in the coalition, but they may also be the only one that can work with the opposition. They can make a very credible threat to the USPH and Consumers - back us up or we're walking!"
I would gladly open a second or third factory here in Glentingham and employ Hutorian workers, but the cold truth is, we have a government that doesn't appear to be friendly to business, and until we get those assurances, we will go where it makes sense. I'm not abandoning Hutori, I still pay my taxes here, I still live here, and I still vote here, but I will do business where it makes the best sense for my company and it's future.
We have seen the vast nationalization of our industries happen time and again, including our most profitable energy production businesses. This is not a sustainable way of doing business, especially if the socialists move to nationalize everything all over again. We are making these and other moves to protect our future, not just of the company, but of our partners the Mashacara people, whom I represent, and the Falristan Provincial Government, who relies on us for product and stability; not the insanity that often comes from Bekenial.
