President Francis Reardon drinks champagne to celebrate his election
BEKENIAL, ADELIA -- In his first speech from 24 Orange Avenue, President Francis Reardon spoke of uniting the people of Hutori to begin progressing the nation toward a "fairer, freer future".
"My fellow Hutorians,
This last election was divisive. Words were thrown back and forth. Accusations were made of me, and by me. But I ask today that we leave that in the past. Today, we must unite Hutori and prepare for a fairer, freer future. Progress will not come via an overbearing, iron-fisted government, but rather the invisible hand of millions of Hutorians. It is my mission to create a government from the center, a big tent that will unite all of Hutori behind one vision: a vision where Hutori can be a world power in peaceful world. Sadly, the neoliberal institutions of the past century have failed Hutori. We have become less free, less prosperous, and less united.
If there is one phrase which I hope to put on the lips of every Hutorian, it is: "Hutori Stands United". Together, we will work toward achieving that goal.
