The head of one of Hutori's most prominent families, the Carmichaels, has made his intentions known of attempting to restore the Hutorian Monarchy.

Donald Carmichael, the Chairman and CEO of Carmichael Industries, one of Hutori's largest private holding firm, made a public announcement in Port Prosperity, Kenai, that he would be refounding the historic Monarchist Party of Hutori.

Giving a statement to press he had this to say.

Hutori has had it's chance and expertiment with socialist, communism and republicanism. After a century of this grand experiment it's clear that it's failed. Hutori is fading from memory of the world. The Republicans and socialists have driven Hutori into the dustbin of history. I think it's hightime for the revival of the Hutorian Monarch and the Restoration of Hutori Pride on the Terran Stage. I am pleased to announced that in the election in four years, we will be placing Senators up for election in every seat in Hutori and I will personally stand for the Presidency then for no other reason then to abolish it!

The Commissioner of Hutorian Elections Commission has confirmed that the Monarchist Party has completed the registration process and paid the fees necessary to run in all five provinces and on the Presidential level. As a confirmed registered Party, the MPH will recieve public funds from the Hutorian Elections Commission to run an election though it's unlikely to be necessary; with only the Republican Party as the current party in Hutori it's expected that significant donations will roll into the Party for no further reason then to offer an alternative to the reigning and lethargic Republicans, though time will tell.

Lexington to Launch Gamestation 2

At a meeting of Lexington Entertainment shareholders, Lexington CEO and President, Alfred G. Lexington, announced the highly successful Lex Game Sphere (popularly known as the LGS) will have a successor system known simply as the Lex Game Station II, shortened to the GS2. Lexington has stated that the GS2 will have a number of deep improvement on the original Game Sphere, including running on a new Operating System allowing games to run at 8K Resolution, or 7680 x 4320 pixel, making it 4 times as sharper as the older Game Sphere. Further the new operating and streaming system with Lexington Entertainment's Nebula Library, will allow Lex Play Premium subscribers to stream almost flawless onto their system one of the several hundred games released on the Game Sphere directly on the GS2.

Lexington has made it a point that, similar to the Game Sphere, they are putting out a public call for developers and game designers to bring forward their best titles and concepts to run on the best hardware on the market with Lexington Entertainment claiming that the GS2's Operating System and Graphics card will be on par with the newest Horizon PCs.

The Lexington Game Sphere mostly dominated the System Conflict of the past with it's only chief opposition, the Skybox, having never amounted to much outside of it's original locale of Lourenne, and Lexington sweeping up developers and designers with exclusive titles and able to gather just as much PC titles onto it's own Gaming Library. The GS2 is likely an attempt by Lexington to reassert it's dominance in the video game industry and to push forward with the newest technology and games. Several critical developers that brought games to the Game Sphere, including Houston Entertainment, Oracle Games, Echo Games and New Dawn Entertainment have all announced they will be bringing titles forward for the new GS2, excited to utilize the powerful new engine.

Monarchist Seize Power; Monarchy to be Restored

In a clear rejection of the Republican decadency of the last century, Hutorian voters voted overwhelmingly for the now reigning Monarchist Party of Hutori, giving them 70% of the popular vote, and a majority mandate in every Province of Hutori, allowing the Monarchist to move forward with their planned Constitutional Amendment, officially abolishing the Fourth Federal Republic and restoring the Kingdom of Hutori.

The most difficult part about the Restoration was selected the new Monarch that would take the throne. The Republican Amendment of 4790 specified that King Henry II and his descendants gave up their rights to the throne, effectively ending the reign of the House of Steuart-Carmichael. The other two branches of the Royal Family, the House of Steuart-Kenai that descended from Prince Timothy and the House of Steuart-Lagard the descendants of Prince Lucas, were both out of country having married into the Dolgavan Royal Family and into Lourenne's high society respectively. The House of Carmichael and the House of Woodbury, the two domestic cadet branches of the Royal Family both refused to consider the throne with Prime Minster Donald Carmichael, the head of House of Carmichael stating outright "Our family never wished the throne, and we shall never take it."

The ultimate decision was to offer the throne to Dolgavan Prince, Prince Phillip, the Duke of Karzon, as a direct descendent of Prince Timothy, the last Grand Duke of Kenai, and the immediate younger sibling of King Henry II, who rumor stated has accepted the offer of the throne and will be taking it as King William X, of the House of Steuart-Kenai, taking both a Hutorian Regal Name, and his great grandfather's Family name.

Keymonite Diplomats Quietly Reach out to Hutori about Rejoining the Commonwealth

In a rather interesting turn of development, shortly after the announcement that the Hutorian Monarchy would be restored, one of Hutori's most erstwhile allies and often times junior international partners, the Republic of Keymon, has quietly reached out to the new Hutorian Ambassador to Keymon about Keymon formally rejoining a renewed Hutorian Commonwealth. Officials for both the Government of Keymon have refused comment as had Prime Minister Donald Carmichael, Foreign Affairs Minister Joshua Woodbury and the new Ambassador to Keymon, Grace Court.

Speaking strictly on backgrounder, an unnamed source from the Hutorian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated that Consular officials have begun minor talks about the logistics of bringing Keymon back into a renewed Commonwealth, though there are trepidations on both sides. Allegedly Keymon has gotten used to it's independence, and even the illusion of being brought under Hutorian control has set some Keymonite politicians back while there are those within the Hutorian government are hesitant about being brought forward so intimately with another nation so shortly after the Monarchist Restoration.

If King William X was to be made King of Keymon, he would be the first Hutorian Monarch to hold the title since Emperor Alexander I, the last Emperor of the now extinct Imperial Commonwealth.

Monarchists Celebrate as King William X Takes the Throne

Celebrations went across Hutori, as the Kingdom of Hutori was officially revived with the Coronation of King William X as the new Monarch of Hutori. After his Coronation at Newport Castle, the traditional place of business of the Hutorian Monarch in downtown Bekenial, the King formally went to House of Parliament, where he was welcomed by Prime Minister Donald Carmichael, the man behind the push to restore the Monarchy, and where His Imperial Majesty gave a welcoming Speech from the Throne, thanking the Hutorian people for entrusting him with the stewardship of the nation, and promising to lead them into the future.

A spokesperson for Steuart House, the official Royal Residence in Bekenial, has stated that King William X will be making two official state visits in the very immediate future, one to his former home in Dolgava, where he will speak to the Queen, this time as her equal, and then to Lourenne, one of Hutori's staunchest allies in the east, where he will visit the Royal Family, and more importantly to observing, visit Bellemont, where Prince Georges resides. Prince Georges is the great grandson of Prince Lucas, the last Grand Duke of Kenai who remained at the Steuart Residence in Lourenne after the collapse of the Hutorian Commonwealth when King Henry II abdicated the throne.

According to the spokesperson, King William X, will be formally offering the title of Grand Duke of Kenai to Prince Georges, in addition to confirming the Lourannis Royal Family's historic title of Dukes and Duchesses of Weigand, the county surrounding Saint Anslem and the home of the largest Canrille minority in Hutori. In addition the King will be offering his cousin, Her Majesty the Queen of Dolgava, the title of Princess of Hutori and Duchess of Middenhall, two titles that will be hereditary and passed down through the reigning Royal Family. These offering of titles by King William X is seen as an attempt to mend the bridges between the Royal Families and more importantly intricately link them together, similar to how they were a century ago.

Hutorian Armed Forces Begin Massive Review

With the Kingdom of Hutori restored, the Carmichael government has turned it's attention internally to deal with other business it feels the Republican governments have long neglected, this includes a massive audit and review of the Royal Armed Forces. During the reign of the Commonwealth Hutori was recognized as one of Terra's most powerful nations militarily, but a century of neglect has seen the Armed Forces neglected and decline in their former ability for massive power project. Incoming Chief of the Defence Staff, Admiral Ronald Ericson, has stated he expects the full review to take three years, and will have suggestions for reform within that time.

Currently the Hutorian Armed Forces employs just under half a million personnel across all service branches, but their equipment is beginning to see it's age. While the Air Force and Navy's equipment is still widely considered amongst Terra's best, Admiral Ericson has stated in no uncertain terms he expects to work with the Minister of National Defence to push forward a series of Modernization Plans, similar to actions that have been done in the best, to bring the Armed Forces back up to snuff.

There is currently a lingering questions amongst defence analysts onto the state of three particular assets of the Royal Armed Forces; the Graham class Supercarriers, the HB-0 Stealth Bombers and the state of the Hutorian strategic weapons stockpile. The Graham class Supercarriers, of which Hutori has four, are the largest and considered most powerful Aircraft Carriers in the world, but have been in constant service for centuries. Open questions on the viability of keeping these massive Carriers in service have been pushed for years, and with Terra in a relatively peaceful place, compared to a century ago, there have been renewed calls to retire them, or at least several of them.

The question of the HB-0 Ghost Stealth Bombers come together to the state of the Hutorian strategic weapons stockpile. The HB-0 cost on average 2.5 Billion HLR a piece to construct, and are primarily used for the delivery of Hutorian nuclear weapons. While any current Hutorian Chemical and Biological Weapons are being dismantled under the auspices of Bill M-4, the nuclear weapons are still very much in service, with Hutori rumored to have had a stockpile of over 200 warheads at the last official count. The century of neglect is expected to have decreased it, however at a minimum Hutori is expected to be able to field at least 90 warheads of over a megaton in yield. With a renewed push for nuclear disarmament internationally and crucially at the World Congress Security Council. Hutori is one of four officially recognized nuclear powers, along with Dorvik, Yingdala and Vanuku. With the Kingdom of Vanuku have been in a worse state of neglect and isolations for even longer then Hutori, the Kingdom of Dorvik and Hutori considered the closest allies on the face of Terra, the Hutori and Dorvik sharing a friendly relationship with Yingdala, open questions have been pushed on whether or not nuclear weapons are even necessary anymore. Admiral Ericson would simply say. "All things are being considered."

Hutori & Yingdala Sign New Economic Trade Deal

A major economic and trade deal has been signed between Bekenial and Tian'an has Hutorian Minister of International Trade, Industry & Economic Development, Clarissa Simmonds, met with her opposite numbers in Yingdala, over the course of a week of economic deal. Yingdala has been the target of Hutori for greater market access for decades, with the Monarchist Party finally the ones to be able to crack the great nut.

The deal is far reaching, but some of the specifics gives greater market access to Hutorian domestic vehicle producer, Ross Motors, an inroad into the SUV hungry western Dovani nation. Ross Motor's will be given exemption on imports into Yingdala, with Ross Motors entering critical talks with Yingdala parts manufacturers to increase Yingdalan content within Ross Motor's SUVs and other vehicles. In addition Hutori has given priority on Yingdalan Steel for manufacturing and production in Hutori, allowing them bypass much of the former tariff walls that widely protected Hutorian markets and other allies. As well Yingdalan firm Indrala Fengyu, has been given permission to buy into two major Hutorian energy firms, specifically the Carter Energy Group, and Kenai Energy.

The Carter Energy Group is Hutori's largest energy conglomerate and majority owned by the Five Nations of the Mashacara of Falristan, owning 51% of the shares, 29% of the shares being held in a trust for the Falristan Provincial Government, and the remaining 20% owned by a combination of private investors and even the Hutorian Federal Government. Indrala Fengyu has entered into a generous deal with most of CEG's investor to buy 15% of the publicly traded shares, letting CEG's stock skyrocket from the massive injection of capital. They have also entered into a long term deal with Kenai Energy to provide Natural Gas to Yingdala at a discount with Kenai Energy becoming one of it's sole producers.

The Provincial Government of Roccato and the Isle of Sutton has also given Indrala Fengyu permission to begin explortary work of drilling for oil in western Roccato. The exact details of the deal are being held closed by the government in Kincardine, but Premier Susan Duran has stated it was cleared by the federal government in Bekenial prior to it going through.

Hutorian Sovereign Wealth Fund Approves Massive Keymon Infrastructure Loan

Chairman of the Hutorian Sovereign Wealth Fund, James Shanks, has announced that the SWF would be investing 10 Billion HLR in the Second Keymonite Republic as part of a massive investment effort to build up Keymonite infrastructure and industry.

Shanks has stated that this investment was one of the critical parts of talks between the government in Bekenial and Turtle Bay, which had touched on a wide variety of topics. The 10 Billion HLR Loan is the cornerstone of a deal that will see Hutori build up Keymon's economy and build relations between Hutori and Keymon over the next several years.

The use of the Sovereign Wealth Fund shows the level of focus that Hutori is giving to Keymon moving forward. Generally speaking, the Sovereign Wealth Fund is used for super long term investment to Hutori that will be built not just over years but decades and even centuries, which has allowed the HSWF to be seen as one of the most secure and long term investment opportunities for the Hutorian federal government. Normally the HSWF never invests in governments, using the Hutorian International Development Corporation as that vehicle, going instead for supremely long term investments.

Shanks has stated that this 10 Billion HLR investment was only the first phase and proven to be lucrative further investment funds would be available to the Keymonite government.

Kingdom of Hutori to Join ODEN

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Joshua Woodbury, has announced that the Kingdom of Hutori would be formally joining the Organization of Drug Exporting Nations, otherwise known as ODEN. Hutori has been dealing with ODEN over a century ago during the Occupation of Davostan, when the Commonwealth Occupation Authority has used ODEN as it's primary and sole supplier of pharmaceuticals in Davostan, and something that later moved into Hutori itself, where ODEN regulated drugs can wide praise and use. While talks with ODEN collapsed following the right of conservative leaning Republican governments in Bekenial, the rise of the Monarchist has revive those old talks, with the Monarchist Party of Hutori firmly in the seat with a supermajority in Parliament, Prime Minister Carmichael has wasted little time moving Bill M-8, the formal ratification of ODEN, forward for a vote.

Minister of Justice Allison Wainwright has stated, ahead of fears this would lead to a massive infusion of drugs into Hutori, that this would in fact make it easier to control the drug trade in Hutori, not harder.

ODEN members respect local laws on drugs, and more important by joining ODEN we can ensure only top quality and regulated substances enter the Hutorian market. Further this isn't just about cocaine or heroin. Hutorian whiskeys, hemp, marijuana are just as covered and are able to be better moved between member states, opening significant economic possibilities.

ODEN-H, the soon to be opened branch of ODEN in Hutori, will be utilized as a Government Crown Corporation, jointly watched by the Department of Justice, the Department of Agriculture and the Department of International Trade, with it's inaugural Executive Director, Christopher Gilmore, already travelling to Kalistan to observe ODEN facilities there.

Lexington Entertainment Launches Gamestation 2 with numerous Launch Titles

The hype was real as the Lexington Entertainment's newest gaming console, the Gamestation-II, or GS2, launched across Hutori and internationally on July 15th. Massive lines at electronics and big box stores went back for hours as consumers and gamers rushed to obtain the GS2 first. While there was a worry that it would be entirely sold out, Lexington Entertainment's Vice President of Sales, Marisa Lockwood, assured investors "There would be more then enough."

The GS2, the long awaited successor to Lexington's highly successful original Gamestation, now being known in the community as the GS1, sold 3.6 million units within hours of it going live, with games for the newest system, selling out of hard copies nearly as fast. Lexington Entertainment has prepared a large line up for it's launch including five separate sports titles, Medal of Valour's newest iteration and Endralonian hyped title Újmakon: They're Alive, a cinematic story telling game set in the near future where androids have become widely used in common society, though kept usually in a lower social class.

Game Developers internationally have announced their intention to put games on the new Gamestation 2 within the coming months and years, letting Lexington's Stock Price skyrocket from the anticipation. Famous Hutorian game developer, Oracle Games, has announced their next title in the Medal of Valour series will be based on the Macon War of a century ago, with researchers from Oracle Games, attending Vermillion University to speak to historians to get the Davostani angle of the war, and will also include stops in Telamon and Dorvik, the other partcipants of the Macon War, to watch things from their perspective. So far rumored, but unconfirmed, has stated there will be four campaigns, a Davostani campaign during the early days of the invasion of Telamon, a Telamonese campaign during the island battles, a Dorvische campaign of the Fallshrimjager that worked behind enemy lines, and a Hutorian campaign as they drove into Davostan itself.

In a change of pace, Hutori is playing host to international fashion designers as Endralonian fashion giant, The Fashion Company has joined together with major Hutorian designers Cooper, Morrison and Probert to put together a series of international fashion shows in Acton, Hutori, letting fashion designers from across Hutori show off their new lines and goods. While this is simply the first one, it is hoped that the appeal of high fashion will catch on in later years to bring in further international designers to show off their wares.

This year's Acton Fashion Week will take place in Groomsbridge, one of Acton's most exclusive neighbourhood and the centre of Acton's fashion and high end retail sectors.

Falristan to play "Carry On" at FOMAT-IX as Hutori returns to FOMAT

Hutori is returning to the FOMAT after decades of absence as Hutorian band, Falristan, is bringing forward it's hit song, "Carry On" in Selucia. Falristan has been touring around Hutori for several years, and rose to the top of the charts, with the nationwide vote amongst music listeners picking Falristan by a wide margin, having also made a huge splash at the Acton Music Festival two years ago.

This will be the first time since FOMAT-III that Hutori will be at FOMAT, having come in 6th with Voyage's Never Stop Believing. This came after hosting FOMAT-II, and winning the inaugural FOMAT with Erica Secord's "Run".
