Rousseau Elected Conservative Leader
On August 16th, the Conservative Party elected their new leader. Pascale Rousseau will try to continue Aaron Scheer's legacy, and will lead the Conservative Party into the next election. Rousseau will look to rebuild support for the Conservatives after they not only lost seats, but had their incumbent president lose in the first round of the last presidential election.
Of 4.5 million members, 4.2 million cast votes, putting the voter turnout at 93.3%. The convention saw delegates from across Hutori descend upon Port Prosperity, Kenai. Organizers say the attendance of the convention was upwards of 5000.
