ROMULA - Dopo un intenso congresso, il PPI si è trovato a fare la conta dei suoi delegati. L'area nazionalista del segretario uscente Figni ha rivendicato i risultati ottenuti dal 4027, anno di insediamento di Figni, ad oggi: il partito è partito dal deludente 8,8% dei voti del 4026 arrivando al 28,14% del 4130, fino ad essere protagonista della Riforma istituzionale semi-presidenziale. Liberali e Popolari hanno però fatto notare che, al di là del governo delle larghe intese guidato da Figni, in questi anni il PPI non è riuscito a radunare attorno a sé una coalizione in grado di avere una maggioranza sufficiente in Parlamento.
Le nuove dinamiche della politica istaliana sono state poi al centro del dibattito congressuale. L'ascesa del PNI, la sua prima alleanza con PPI e DI e la successiva rottura, fino al presente in cui il PNI si è alleato con le sinistre e ha firmato un'alleanza a lungo termine con i socialisti-massimalisti della Lega Democratica dei Popoli. Su questo punto quasi l'intera platea delle correnti del PPI è stata unanime: si è fatto un errore nell'inseguire un partito come il PNI che aveva solo una facciata di destra e si è rivelato poi un partito di sinistra. "Avevano ragione i nostri alleati del Patto per l'Istalia a diffidare di loro", ha detto l'ex ministro Duepesi nel suo intervento.
Alla fine, al momento del voto, si è potuto verificare in modo plastico il nuovo assetto del PPI: Popolari e Liberali hanno sostenuto insieme il candidato Andrea Sarcosi, il quale ha raggiunto il 34% dei delegati al primo turno e ha battuto il candidato Solenzi dei nazionalisti al ballottaggio col 58% dei voti. "Ripartiamo con un rinnovato slancio liberal-popolare senza rinnegare il primato nazionale" sono state le prime dichiarazioni di Sarcosi. Confermata e ribadita la centralità dell'organizzazione Union of Liberals, frutto di una'alleanza con DI e Patto per l'Istalia che si va sempre più consolidando e che ormai rappresenta, nell'opinione del neo-segretario, "l'ultimo baluardo liberal-conservatore per gli istaliani".

ROMULA - Anche il terzo anno del Governo Scialoja è passato ed i risultati della cooperazione tra l'Unione di Centro-Sinistra ed il Partito Nazionalista Istaliano stanno lentamente emergendo.
Dopo le primissime azioni di governo in agenda, l'abrogazione delle dissennate leggi del passato governo, e la reintroduzione di molti diritti civili negati, il Governo si è concentrato nella riforma altamente progressiva dell'imposta sul reddito che è stata definita dall'ex Capo di Governo Sabbatini "una delle più importanti e decisive azioni di giustizia sociale che si siano mai viste nel paese da moltissimi decenni".
L'imposta ha infatti diminuito il getti fiscale per le fasce più basse di reddito aumentandole sensibilmente tra quelle più alte, una misura decisamente socialdemocratica, come l'ha definita il Presidnete del Consiglio Scialoja che dichiara come la collaborazione con il PNI sia stata sempre molto pacifica e produttiva.

Il Governo ha avuto anche il piacere di dare il benvenuto alla centesima azienda ad alta tecnologia che si è insediata nella ZESIAT che cinque anni fa è stata innaugurata nel cuore della Silicia. Il Presidente del Consiglio ha visitato le nuove installazioni della Oliverdi che alla presenza del Capo del Governo ha annunciato la prossima presentazione del primo dei 3 smartphone di nuova generazione nati da una collaborazione tra Oliverdi e la multinazionale Decima Tecnology.

Scialoja insieme al Ministro La Civita hanno inoltre con piacere innaugurato appena un mese fa la nuova unità Classe Orizzonti entrata in servizio nella marina, varata dopo tre mesi dall'ingresso in servizio di un nuovo sottomarino mentre si prospetta entro i prossimi dieci anni la consegna di altri tre sottomarini, due altre classe Orizzonti, due Fregate Multiruolo e quattro nuovi Pattugliatori d'Altura.
A Gennaio invece, al Comando Supremo dell'Aeronautica, il Ministro La Civita aveva assicurato che le forze aeree nazionali sarebbero state presto dotate di mezzi all'avanguardia, probabilmente prodotti della nota azienda Hutoriana JetStream Aerospace (recenti indiscrezioni parlano di un maxi-acquisto di oltre 300 HF-35s, caccia multiruolo di ultima generazione che saranno imbarcati sulle unità della marina e sostituiranno i mezzi ormai obsoleti dell'Aeronautica).

Non sono di certo serviti i muscoli però per risolvere la crisi emersa tra Pontesi e Beluzia: poco tempo fa infatti, il precedente Governo conservatore di Pontesi aveva dato il via ad una crisi diplomatica che ha visto coinvolto un giovane beluziano di origini pontesiane che, nonostante legalmente fosse cittadino di Beluzia, è stato trattenuto in Pontesi per lunghi mesi perché gli si richiedeva di servire nelle locali forze armate (al suo rifiuto era stato trattenuto in carcere).
Dopo l'invito della Presidentessa Zorelin del Presidente di Pontesi, il Governo Scialoja è riuscito a stringere contatti con il nuovo Governo Pontesiano retto dal locale Partito Comunista giungendo all'abrogazione della strana legge sull'arruolamento forzato anche dei non nazionali per poi rimandare a casa il giovane beluziano.
Ricordiamo che l'Istalia aveva di recente stretto un trattato con Beluzia e grazie alla nuova apertura con il governo progressista di Pontes è riuscita con la diplomazia a risolvere un problema che poteva divenire una seria crisi internazionale.

Tre anni ricchi di avvenimenti, ma che non hanno ancora visto il Governo varare il promesso nuovo corso economico "socialdemocratico", con il PNI ed il PSI che sembrano essersi mostrati timidi nel presentare proposte economiche improntate su un economia mista che avevano ricevuto l'avallo anche dal PSLI.
Nonostante ciò, il recente aumento del coinvolgimento del Governo dal lato dei sussidi e degli investimenti per l'economia nazionale, nonché l'accesso a nuovi mercati garantiti dai numerosi trattati internazionali stipulati, hanno sostenuto anche in questi anni la crescita dell'economia Istaliana che vuole definitivamente affermarsi sul piano internazionale come una delle più solide e dinamiche.
Che si prospetti lavoro per un possibile Scialoja bis o comunque per una ulteriore collaborazione tra l'Unione di Centro-Sinistra ed il PNI, magari con il contributo anche della neonata Lega Democratica dei Popoli d'Istalia?

ROMULA - Beatrice Zorelin, sorretta dalla coalizione di "Union of Liberals" (PPI,DI,Patto p.I.) raggiunge il 50,39% dei voti al primo turno delle Presidenziali e inizia così il suo secondo mandato. Grande la soddisfazione della Presidente e dell'intera coalizione di centro-destra, soprattutto per i 31,2 milioni di cittadini che hanno preferito la proposta della Zorelin.

Nel Parlamento invece domina l'incertezza, data la presenza di tre poli molto corposi: la coalizione di centro-destra (PPI-DI-Patto p.I.) raggiunge nel complesso il 41,3% dei voti, aggiudicandosi 262 seggi. La coalizione di centro-sinistra (PSLI-PSDI-PSI) non supera invece il 36.3%, con 227 seggi. Il "terzo polo" (LDPI-PNI) segue col 22.4%, aggiudicandosi ben 146 seggi.

Al Senato la situazione è diversa, con la coalizione di centro-sinistra avanti con 38 seggi, quella di centro-destra a seguire con 36 e infine LDPI-PNI che raggiungono 28 seggi.

Il governo uscente, formato da PSLI, PSDI,PSI e PNI, pur non correndo come coalizione, viene bocciato alle urne, raggiungendo il 43,84%.

Ora la decisione spetterà alla Zorelin, la quale è intenzionata ad affidare l'incarico alla Coalizione vincente alla Camera, cioè il centro-destra, per vedere se riuscirà ad ottenere una maggioranza.

ROMULA - Dopo due mandati consecutivi, la Presidente Zorelin non sarà la candidata per le prossime elezioni della coalizione di centro-destra. In questi otto anni di presidenza sono stati molti i fronti su cui si è mossa l'azione di Zorelin: il principale obbiettivo è stato però senz'altro quello di ampliare al massimo la partecipazione delle nazioni di Majatra al trattato di collaborazione e amicizia "Union of Majatran nations". Dalla situazione iniziale, nella quale erano presenti solo la Repubblica Istaliana e Cobura, ad oggi le adesioni sono raddoppiate grazie alla ratifica del trattato da parte della Repubblica di Cildania (4146) e del Regno di Barmenia (4149). Inoltre è notizia recente l'inizio del processo di ratifica del trattato da parte di Deltaria e Vanuku.

Zorelin esce dunque dalla presidenza con un grande risultato raggiunto e, soprattutto, con una strada aperta che dovranno percorrere i suoi successori verso l'obiettivo finale di raggiungere la piena adesione al consesso di tutti gli stati del continenti. "Lascio un'Istalia più integrata nel panorama majatrano di quella che ho trovato. Questo mi rende orgogliosa e speranzosa nel futuro dei nostri figli e dei nostri nipoti", ha affermato la presidente nel suo discorso di congedo.

ROMULA: Dopo le ultime due elezioni, con due batoste consecutive per DI-U.o.L. e due sconfitte per il candidato presidente della coalizione dei liberali, Giovanni Sempliciti si è dimesso da Leader di DI-U.o.L. e ha deciso di lasciare la politica. Queste le sue parole:

Viste le sconfitte accusate dal mio partito e dalla coalizione, prendo atto del volere dei cittadini e mi assumo tutte le responsabilità degli esiti delle ultime due elezioni che sono stati particolarmente negativi nei confronti del partito. Sono felice di aver intrapreso questo percorso e sono convinto di aver reso l'Istalia un luogo migliore dove vivere. Assumendomi le dovute responsabilità, mi dimetto da Leader del partito e da parlamentare seduta stante e lascio la politica.

Al suo posto l'ex Capogruppo alla Camera dei Deputati Vincenzo Marini, che si è espresso negativamente riguardo all'azione di Sempliciti:

In questi ultimi anni la politica è stata dominata da idee oscurantiste e proibizioniste che hanno trasformato l'Istalia in un paese senza libertà personal: di questo Sempliciti è stato uno dei maggiori responsabili insieme ai parlamentari che lo hanno sostenuto, interni ed esterni al partito. Ultimamente abbiamo visto anche l'inefficacia della legge elettorale con il problema del tripolarismo e della impossibilità di rispettare il volere del popolo, essendosi sempre creati governi che sono stati formati da due alleanze incompatibili fra loro e che non sono riuscite ad attuare un programma preciso di governo, e la lentezza creata dalla riforma costituzionale per quanto riguarda la formazione dei governi. DI-U.o.L. nei prossimi anni cercherà di ristabilire le libertà negate in questi anni e di rimediare agli errori del passato nella formulazione della riforma costituzionale, che peraltro non ha mai convinto del tutto il partito, e della legge elettorale. Il mio intento sarà quello di favorire la rinascita del liberalismo e dell'Unione dei Liberali.

Dopo le ultime elezioni nel partito è emersa infatti la corrente giuliottiana dei liberali, che ha sempre contrastato le decisioni dell'ala estremista e adesso giustifica il calo di consensi con il cattivo operato della classe dirigente conservatrice al potere durante gli ultimi anni. Marini afferma di voler continuare l'esperienza dell'Unione dei Liberali ma di voler cambiare l'organizzazione e di far ricordare agli altri partiti membri che definendosi liberali devono agire anche da liberali.

ROMULA - Il nuovo Governo si è ormai saldamente installato a Palazzo Antinori mentre il Presidente De Michelis finalmente si è espresso sui prossimi provvedimenti che verranno varati dal primo Governo sostanzialmente concorde con la Presidenza dopo tante coabitazioni. Il Presidente De Michelis ha gentilmente rilasciato l'intervista al Corriere.

Saluti Sign. Presidente, dunque, andremo immediatamente al sodo: quali sono i programmi di questo Governo nel quale il ruolo del Presidente, come delineato dalla Costituzione semi-presidenziale, si farà sentire molto di più?
Salve, dunque, i programmi del PNI e dell'UCS da tempo hanno trovato comuni basi sulle quali lavorare ed oggi avremo la possibilità di esprimerli al meglio. La parola d'ordine sarà più sicurezza sociale per i nostri cittadini.
Tra i principali provvedimenti, che verranno presentati dal PSDI, ci saranno l'introduzione di benefits per i figli rivolti a tutti i cittadini e quindi l'allargamento degli aventi diritto ai sussidi per le tasse universitarie. Vogliamo introdurre in Istalia un Welfare che sia veramente Universale.
Questo Governo porterà a compimento programmi che in effetti già da tempo sono stati delineati.

Da tempo delineati è? Allora, prima di andare oltre a parlare di questi progetti vorrei proprio approfondire il fatto che il passato Governo Scialoja non sia riuscito ad esprimere una linea precisa e coerente ed ovviamente vorremmo il suo parere sulle azioni di LDPI e IUM.
La poca disponibilità al dialogo ed al confronto democratico della Lega Democratica e del Movimento Unito hanno in effetti totalmente bloccato qualsiasi azione comune da parte del secondo Governo Scialoja che a stento è riuscito a tenere in piedi il Governo. Sono piuttosto dispiaciuto di aver assistito ancora una volta allo scioglimento di forze politiche a causa di tentativi di attentare all'ordine democratico ma l'aver disinnescato un tale pericolo prima ancora che potesse esprimersi in qualsivoglia azione ha dimostrato ancora una volta come i nostri servizi di sicurezza interni siano sempre attenti e preparati a sventare qualsiasi minaccia per il Paese.

Quali erano secondo lei i rapporti tra il Partito Nazionalista ed LDPI e IUM. Poco dopo la loro nascita hanno creato molto velocemente un forte terzo polo nel paese. Non teme che possano esserci stati contatti eversivi anche tra i rapporti all'interno della loro coalizione?
Non credo! PNI fin da quando è nato ha dimostrato costantemente ed in vari modi il suo rispetto per l'ordine democratico e le istituzioni del paese e crediamo sia stato più che altro trascinato solo da un punto di vista legale e politico da LDPI nella loro coalizione in modo per potersi esprimere al meglio e comunque la Magistratura non ha presentato alcun elemento ed alcuna prova che abbia potuto dimostrare legami tra PNI e quelle forze eversive. Sono fiducioso nelle capacità della Giustizia Istaliana e visto che il PNI ne è uscito totalmente indenne e pulito vuol dire che nulla avevano a che fare con quelle forze anti-democratiche.

Bene, allora, tornando ai progetti di governo da lei annunciati, saranno delle misure di sicurezza sociale che continueranno comunque a tenere conto delle differenze e delle necessità di ogni cittadino?
Ovviamente! Introdurremo degli strumenti che terranno conto di diversi fattori, in primis il reddito delle famiglie, ma anche il numero dei membri ed altri dati tali da creare un sistema che continuerà a garantire per i meno abbienti sussidi che copriranno totalmente le loro necessità e che prevederà una progressiva riduzione dell'entità dell'assistenza all'aumentare del reddito.

Molti sono preoccupati della spesa in deficit che aumenterà con l'introduzione di queste nuove spese.
Una preoccupazione legittima, ma voglio rassicurarli sul fatto che un moderato debito pubblico non mette a rischio la stabilità finanziaria dello Stato, soprattutto con una economia forte e stabile come la nostra che potrebbe continuare a crescere in futuro. Abbiamo reintrodotto il commercio del Tabacco già e presto avremo accesso al mercato di Baltusia ma soprattutto a quello di Hutori.

Ecco, vorrei tornare successivamente sulla politica internazionale, ma prima una domanda riguardo una proposta che il suo partito sostiene da anni e che oggi sta nuovamente spingendo con forza: l'introduzione di una Imposta sul Valore Aggiunto anche sui beni non di lusso. Cosa ci può dire?
Le posso dire che su questo argomento sono ancora aperte le contrattazioni con il PNI, per il resto ribadisco le storiche posizioni del mio partito: siamo una società sviluppata e con oramai veramente pochi indigenti. Stiamo assicurando ai nostri cittadini ampi servizi sociali ma per continuare a farlo crediamo che sia giusto che si contribuisca tutti un poco di più. Con le prossime riforme garantiremo meno spese per i figli e per assicurare il loro futuro ed oggi buona parte dei nostri cittadini spendono molto più per far fronte da soli a queste esigenze di quanto dovrebbero privarsi con l'introduzione di una VAT che non supererà il 5%.

Bene, passiamo alla politica estera, quali i suoi programmi?
Sicuramente continueremo l'ottimo lavoro svolto dalla Zorelin per rinsaldare i rapporti tra le nazioni di Majatra, ma il nostro impegno sarà rivolto anche altrove: prossimamente presenteremo in parlamento un ottimo trattato tra noi e Baltusia con la quale si prevede una futura stretta collaborazione e grandi investimenti istaliani in loco, nel settore energetico con la già concordata costruzione di una delle più grandi centrali solari del pianeta, nel settore farmaceutico con lo sfruttamento delle vaste foreste tropicali del paese per ricavare importanti sostanze e principi attivi usati dall'industria dei medicinali, come anche nel campo delle materie prime di cui il paese abbonda, vista la sua vastità, ma il trattato prevederà anche una forte cooperazione militare! Stabiliremo una base lungo le coste di Baltusia, assicureremo al loro paese una difesa dalle minacce esterne ed assicureremo per noi e soprattutto per la nostra flotta una base strategica nell'emisfero settentrionale. Inoltre non appena il trattato sarà ratificato anche dall'Istalia invieremo immediatamente tra i 150 ed i 200 consiglieri militari che si occuperanno di contribuire all'addestramento delle forze Baltusiane, sia nelle più recenti tattiche difensive sia nell'utilizzo dei nuovi mezzi militari recentemente acquistati da Baltusia dal nostro paese e quindi per incrementare le capacità di controspionaggio del paese.
E poi siamo pronti a stringere un importante trattato con Hutori che ci avvicinerà a quel colosso ed al loro mercato. Con Hutori i contatti sono appena cominciati ma siamo sicuri che entrambe le nostre nazioni ne gioveranno

Stiamo assistendo a tensioni piuttosto importanti negli ultimi anni tra l'Istalia e varie altre nazioni, e con molte delle quali vi erano ottimi e cordiali rapporti, ma sicuramente le preoccupazioni maggiori riguardano la rottura avvenuta con Zardugal e molti si domandano se non sia stato proprio questo a dare il forte impulso alla cantieristica Istaliana degli ultimi anni per rinforzare le capacità navali della difesa, come anche il maxi acquisto stipulato con la Hutoriana JetStream?
In realtà il Paese sta aumentando le proprie capacità difensive da molti anni, anzi, decenni! Ce lo chiede il ruolo che l'Istalia nell'ultimo secolo ha assunto a livello internazionale. Nei prossimi mesi sarà varata anche la quarta delle nostre portaerei, la Nave Quanzar, mentre per la fine del decennio vogliamo portare a 40 il numero di fregate classe Intrepido e concentrarci quindi anche sulla forza sottomarina del Paese. Per quanto riguarda Zardugal, riconfermo, come fatto con un messaggio privato mandato al suo Presidente, che ci dispiace si sia risentita per il comportamento del nostro ambasciatore, ma al di là di queste piccolezze mi sembra sia stata più una scusa per lasciare l'organizzazione che a loro dire limiterebbe la loro politica estera, che loro hanno definito "Dottrina Mozby ".

Zardugal sembra essere uscita fuori dal suo isolamento con mire piuttosto ambiziose, con dichiarazioni che hanno interessato tutte le nazioni di Majatra ed il resto del mondo, dichiarazioni che alcuni sia in Istalia che fuori, hanno dichiarato da "gendarmi". Quale è la sua posizione al riguardo?
Preferisco non dare seguito a simili affermazioni. Zardugal è una nazione orgogliosa e potente e da una parte si sta comportando proprio come tale. Non credo possa rappresentare un vero pericolo per la pace mondiale, non credo sia interesse di Zardugal, ma allo stesso tempo spero che la sua decisione di restare fuori da qualsivoglia organismo sovranazionale non sia un modo per loro per essere liberi di fare il buono ed il cattivo tempo a loro piacimento, anche perché difficilmente il mondo accettare una cosa del genere.
Spero comunque decidano in futuro di tornare ad avere almeno dei contatti, anche esterni, con il Congresso Mondiale ed a non escludere totalmente cooperazioni internazionali, per il bene della pace nel mondo ovviamente.

Riguardo il Congresso Mondiale cosa ha da dirci invece? Soprattutto visto che finita una crisi sembra esserne spuntata un'altra!
Continueremo a sostenere i nostri principi ed i nostri ideali. Siamo lieti che Aldegar abbia deciso di guardare oltre e finalmente riconoscere il volere del popolo di Baltusia ma adesso è tempo di affrontare la crisi tra Pontesi e Lodamun. Sono spiacente delle recenti dichiarazioni del governo pontesiano, vogliamo assicurare che non stiamo in alcun modo giustificando o tanto meno sostenendo le azioni di quel terrorista, condanniamo il terrorismo in ogni sua forma e continueremo a farlo, sempre! Ma semplicemente da tempo immemore nel nostro Paese vige il principio secondo il quale "nessun uomo ha il diritto di uccidere un altro uomo" che si tratti di un terrorista o dei rappresentanti della Giustizia o del Governo. Un principio condiviso pressoché da tutte le forze politiche, attuali come del passato, un principio radicato profondamente nei valori del popolo istaliano.
Da più parti si alzano voci a sostegno di Pontesi e contro l'interferire con le sue politiche interne, ebbene, noi rispettiamo ciò e non stiamo minimamente facendo pressioni e non abbiamo minimamente azzardato tanto meno proposte a Pontesi per spingerli a cambiare leggi o normative al riguardo, ma ugualmente non possono pretendere che il mio Paese tradisca i suoi principi ed ideali per piegarsi al volere di altre nazioni che gridano vendetta, come se dipendesse solo dall'Istalia quali risoluzioni possono o meno provenire dal Consiglio di Sicurezza! Ed inoltre non vogliamo creare un martire che aizzi una lotta terroristica ed una violenza su scala globale.
Ci dispiace questo non venga compreso ma soprattutto mi dispiace dire che ci siamo sentiti già quasi accusati, non da Pontesi ma altre nazioni e Governi, che hanno preteso un aut aut: o con Pontesi e la sua vendetta o con i terroristi! Ebbene, sarò risoluto: non accetteremo alcuna accusa diretta contro di noi al riguardo! Il paese un secolo fa, come anche ha rischiato recentemente, ha sofferto il terrorismo, una guerra civile ne è anche scaturita, e non accetteremo altre insinuazioni del genere! Opporsi alla pena di morte non fa di noi dei terroristi o dei sostenitori del terrorismo, siamo invece convinti del fatto che la nostra opposizione a ripagare la morte con la morte non possa che confermare quanto siamo migliori di coloro che disseminano odio e terrore con atti inumani e sanguinari come quelli perpetuati da Ravel e dai suoi accoliti.

ROMULA - The new government has now firmly installed into Antinori Palace while the President De Michelis finally has spoken about the next steps that will be launched by the first Government generally agreed with the Presidency after so many cohabitations. President De Michelis has kindly granted the interview to the Corriere.

Greetings Mr President, then, we will go immediately to the point: what are the programs of this government in which the role of the President, as outlined by the semi-presidential constitution, will have much more weight?
Goodmorning, well, the programs of PNI and UCS for long time have found common ground on which to work and today we will have the opportunity to express it to the fullest. The slogan will be more social security for our citizens.
Among the main measures, which will be presented by the Social Democrats, there will be the introduction of benefits for children aimed at all citizens and therefore the enlargement of those entitled to subsidies for tuition fees. We want to introduce a Welfare in Istalia that will be truly universal.
This Government will complete programs that in effect for was already outlined.

Already outlined? Then, before heading over to talk about these projects, I really want to explore the fact that the past Scialoja Government was not able to express a clear and consistent line and of course we would like your views on the LDPI and IUM actions.
The lack of willingness to dialogue and to face a democratic debate of the Democratic League and of the United Movement have in fact totally blocked any joint action by the second Scialoja's Government that has barely managed to prop up the executive. I am rather sorry to have witnessed once again to the dissolution of political forces because of attempts of undermining the democratic order, but to have defused this danger before it could express itself in any action has demonstrated once again how our internal security services are always alert and prepared to thwart any threat to the country.

What were you think the relationship between the Nationalist Party and LDPI and IUM. Shortly after their birth they have created very quickly a strong third pole in the country. Are not you afraid that they can be have subversive contacts between the relations within their coalition?
I do not think! PNI since he was born has shown consistently and in many ways his respect for the democratic order and for the institutions of the Country and we believe it was mostly just dragged only from a legal and political point of view by LDPI in their coalition so to express themselves at their best and still the judiciary has not submitted any evidence it was not able to demonstrate links between PNI and those subversive forces. I am confident in the abilities of Istalian Justice and as the PNI came out totally unscathed and clean, this means that it had nothing to do with the anti-democratic forces.

Well, then, returning on the government projects that you announced, will they be social security measures that still continue to take into account the differences and needs of every citizen?
Of course! We will introduce tools that will take into account several factors, primarily the family income, but also the number of its members and other data such as to create a system that will continue to provide for the poor subsidies that fully will cover their needs and that will provide a progressive entity assistance reduced as income increases.

Many are concerned about the deficit spending that will increase with the introduction of these new expenses.
A legitimate concern, but I want to reassure them that a moderate public debt does not jeopardize the financial stability of the State, especially with a strong and stable economy like ours that could continue to grow in the future. We reintroduced already the Tobacco's trade and we will soon have access to Baltusia market but especially to that of Hutori.

About this, I would later return to international politics, but first a question about a proposal that his party supports for years and now is again pushing hard: the introduction of a Value-Added Tax also on non-luxury goods. What can you say?
I can tell you that on this subject the is still open the trading with PNI, for the rest I will repeat the historical positions of my party: we are a developed society and now very few poor are still in similar economic conditions. We are ensuring to our citizens extensive social services but to continue to do it we believe it's right that we all contribute a little more. With the upcoming reforms will ensure lower costs for their children and to ensure their future and a most part of our citizens today spend more to cope with their own strength these needs than they will deprive themselves with the introduction of a VAT which will not exceed 5%.

Very well, let's move to foreign policy, what are your programs?
Surely we will continue the excellent work done by the President Zorelin to strengthen relations between the nations of Majatra, but our commitment will also be addressed elsewhere: in the near future will present a great treaty in parliament between us and Baltusia with which it is expected a close future collaboration and big istalian investments on site, in the energy sector with the already agreed construction of one of the planet's largest solar power plants, in the pharmaceutical industry with the exploitation of the vast tropical forests of the country to obtain important substances and active substances for use of the drugs, as well as in the field of raw materials of which the country abounds, given its sheer size, but also a strong treaty which will provide for military cooperation! We will establish a base on the coast of Baltusia, we will assure a defense against external threats for the country and especially we will assure for our fleet a strategic base in the northern hemisphere. Also as soon as the Treaty will be ratified also by Istalia we will immediately send between 150 and 200 military advisers, who will contribute to the training of Baltusiane forces, either in the most recent defensive tactics either in the use of new military equipment recently purchased by Baltusia from our country and then to increase counterintelligence capabilities of the country.
And then we are ready to forge an important treaty with Hutori that will bring us closer to that colossus and their market. With Hutori contacts have just started but we are sure that it will benefit both of our nations

We are seeing quite significant tensions in recent years between Istalia and various other nations, and many of whom were excellent and cordial relations, but surely the greatest concerns affecting the rupture occurred with Zardugal and many wonder if it was just that to give strong impetus to Istalian shipyards industry in recent years to strengthen the naval capabilities of the defense, as well as the maxi purchase signed with the Hutorian JetStream?
In reality the Country is increasing its defensive capabilities for many years, indeed, decades! The role that Istalia assumed in the last century on the international stage demanded it. Zardugal seems to have stepped out of its isolation with objectives quite ambitious, with statements that have affected all nations to Majatra and the rest of the world, statements that some in Istalia and some overseas have declared as statements of "gendarmes". What is your position on this?
I prefer not to pursue such claims. Zardugal is a nation proud and powerful and it is behaving just like that. I do not think it can be a real danger to rhe world peace, I do not think it is interest of Zardugal, but at the same time I hope their decision to stay out of any supranational body is not only a way for them to be free to do the good and the bad weather as they please, because hardly the world could accept such a thing.
But I hope they decide in the future to return to have at least contact, even outside, with the World Congress and not to totally exclude international cooperation, for the sake of peace in the world of course.

About the World Congress what do you have to say instead? Especially given that a crisis is over but another arise!
We will continue to support our principles and our ideals. We are pleased that Aldegar have decided to look beyond and finally to recognize the will of the people of Baltusia but now it's time to face the crisis between Pontesi and Lodamun. I regret the recent statements of the pontesian government, we want to ensure that we are not in any way justifying or even less supporting the actions of the terrorist, we condemn terrorism in all its forms and will continue to do it, forever! But simply from immemorial time in our country we apply the principle that "no man has the right to kill another man", whether it is a terrorist or a representative of the Justice or of the Government. A principle shared by almost all political forces, both current and of the past, a principle deeply rooted in the istalian people's values.
Many voices are raised in support of Pontesi and against to interfere with its internal policies, well, we respect that and we're not doing the slightest pressure and we have never risked to propose or demand to Pontesi to change laws or regulations about it, but equally they can not claim that my Country betray its principles and ideals to bend itself to the will of other nations which cry for revenge, as if it depends only by Istalia what a resolutions may or may not come from the Security Council! And also we do not want to create a martyr who incite even more a terrorist struggle and violence on a global scale.
We regret this will not be understood, but mostly I'm sorry to say that we felt already almost accused, not by Pontesi but by other nations and governments, who have demanded an ultimatum: with Pontesi and his revenge or with the terrorists! Well, I will be resolute: we will not accept any direct accusation against us about it! The country a century ago, as well as was threatened recently, suffered terrorism, a civil war it has also emerged, and we will not accept other insinuations like that! Oppose the death penalty does not make us terrorists or supporters of terrorism, we are however convinced that our opposition to repaying death with death can only confirm that we are better of those who disseminate hatred and terror with inhumane acts and bloodthirsty as those perpetuated by Ravel and his acolytes.

La strategia Istaliana: i nuovi piani della difesa e la situazione internazionale

ROMULA - Con la presentazione della legge di bilancio la Presidenza ha rilasciato uno dei suoi ultimi comunicati, dato che le elezioni si terranno a breve, nel quale sono stati esposti sia i programmi della difesa che l'evoluzione della situazione internazionale.

Come spiegato anche alla Camera, i nuovi fondi destinati alla Difesa finanzieranno il programma di ricerca e sviluppo che, come da previsioni del Ministero, doteranno definitivamente il paese di un arsenale nucleare (o Arsenale Strategico).
Come dichiarato dal Capo di Stato Maggiore dell'Aeronautica, branca delle forze armate che si occuperà di seguire il Programma, l'Istalia in questo modo potrà fare affidamento su uno strumento ad alta capacità deterrente nei confronti di paesi terzi ma anche affiancarsi alle altre grandi potenze che già ne sono dotate.
Il PSN sarà portato avanti con la collaborazione sia di Leonardi che di Enist, che metteranno al servizio del Paese le conoscenze e le capacità tecniche sviluppate negli ultimi anni.
Riguardo le capacità di dispiegamento l'aeronautica prevede già l'installazione di silos dissimulati nelle zone più impervie di Alaria e quindi nel nord-ovest della penisola, anche se ciò dovrebbe essere preceduto dallo sviluppo di missili balistici ad ampissimo raggio, per questo anche la Marina si è fatta avanti proponendo al Governo l'idea di utilizzare sottomarini balistici che darebbero la possibilità di dispiegare l'Arsenale Strategico su un raggio pressocché globale.
Il Governo ha dichiarato che il programma sarà sviluppato in un sito di massima sicurezza la cui localizzazione sarà dichiarata riservata e che non sarà resa nota fino alla conclusione del programma. Anche per questa ragione, oltre che per le crescenti minacce terroristiche, il Governo ha assegnato ulteriori fondi al ministero dell'interno per incrementare le capacità di controspionaggio.

La decisione del Governo, da tempo candeggiata nel paese, arriva con l'acuirsi delle tensioni internazionali e con l'incremento delle possibili situazioni locali che potrebbero divenire conflitti internazionali, anche ad ampio raggio, nonché l'apparizione di una concreta minaccia clandestina rappresentata da movimenti terroristici che sembra siano pronti a colpire anche su scala internazionale.
La Presidenza parlando di tensioni internazionali non si è sbilanciata oltre, ma è chiaro come al Paese non piaccia la politica aggressiva ed unilaterale di Zardugal ma anche come inizi a considerare le numerose minacce eversive e criminali sorte negli ultimi anni in vari paesi come una grave minaccia internazionale.

Riguardo a Pontesi, il Presidente De Michelis sembra abbia iniziato un serrato dialogo bilaterale con il Governo della nazione nord-majatrana dopo che Lodamun è stata dichiarata come una "un porto sicuro per criminali e terroristi". La Presidenza ha infatti messo temporaneamente da parte le divergenze di vedute con Pontesi riguardo la pena di morte per concentrarsi sull'appoggio "morale" dato dal Governo di Lodamun a molti movimenti terroristici rivoluzionari di sinistra. Questo il passaggio estratto dal comunicato stampa:

Il Governo di Lodamun si vuole nascondere dietro la parola "morale", dichiarando di non collaborare attivamente con nessuno di questi gruppi da loro sostenuti. Ebbene, crediamo che ciò sia come voler nascondere un elefante dietro ad un dito. Il solo garantire a gruppi terroristici ed ad individui coinvolti un luogo sicuro dove rifugiarsi e dove magari continuare a seguire e gestire le loro attività equivale ad un vero e proprio sostegno materiale ed ad una accettazione delle azioni di odio e violenza contro innocenti perpetuati dai criminali che solo "moralmente" stanno supportando. Si tratta di una minaccia ben più grave della sola questione intorno a Ravel che potrebbe coinvolgere molte più nazioni e colpire innocenti ben al di fuori della sola Pontesi. Riguardo le azioni da intraprendere contro Lodamun continueremo a discuterne al Congresso Mondiale ma inizieremo fin da ora una serrata collaborazione con Pontesi per contrastare il dilagare di movimenti terroristici guidati da odio e totalitarismo.

Dichiarazioni piuttosto dure che sembrano strizzare l'occhio anche a Kazulia impegnata egualmente a contrastare i mortiferi attacchi di un altro gruppo terroristico estremista basato in Mikuni-Hulstria ed apertamente supportato dal locale governo che rischia in questo modo di scatenare definitivamente l'ira kazuliana.

Ma un'altra questione internazionale è stata portata all'attenzione del Consiglio di Sicurezza proprio dall'Istalia, lo scoppio della Seconda Guerra Civile Rutaniana che vede il governo centrale opporsi agli insorti indipendentisti della regione nota come Ardinia che hanno ricevuto sostegno da Gaduridos e da Saridan, sostegno non solo economico e logistico ma anche militare, con notizie dei primi attacchi aerei di Gaduridos contro postazioni del governo centrale Rutaniano. Questa la secca dichiarazione della Presidenza:

Si tratta di una inaccettabile intromissione in un problema esclusivamente interno a Rutania. L'Istalia vuole mettere seriamente in guardia sia Saridan che Gaduridos: ulteriori azioni militari contro Rutania saranno duramente contrastate dall'Istalia che non si tirerà indietro dal pattugliare le acque dell'Oceano del Sud, del Mare delle Anime Perdute, del Mare di Odufart e del Mare Scismatico bloccando perquisendo e se mai requisendo navigli commerciali battenti bandiere Saridanese e di Gaduridos, come anche non si tirerà indietro dal schierare proprie forze militari, con l'autorizzazione del Governo Rutaniano ovviamente, nelle acque territoriali di Rutania per affrontare e neutralizzare qualsiasi minaccia dovesse provare a colpire Rutania.

De Michelis bis, ma il centro-destra stravince le elezioni

ROMULA - Claudio De Michelis inizia il suo secondo mandato presidenziale. Il Presidente viene rieletto al ballottaggio con Marini, dopo aver raggiunto il 39,7% dei voti contro il 48,05% del candidato di U.o.L.; nella seconda tornata però De Michelis ha saputo ribaltare la situazione, raggiungendo il 51,87% dei voti e 28,4 milioni di voti.

Per quel che riguarda il governo invece si è trattato di un vero trionfo del centro-destra: la Coalizione "Union of Liberals" (PPI-DI-Patto p.I.) ha infatti raccolto il 54,33% dei voti alla Camera dei Deputati e addirittura il 70% dei voti al Senato. A favore di questo risultato hanno giocato in particolar modo la vittoria del PPI in Silicia e Sarregna (quest'ultima col 55,67% dei voti) e del Patto p.I. in Trivendito e Padagna; in totale 4 regioni su 5 vanno al centro-destra.

Il centro-sinistra (PSLI-PSDI) perde le elezioni ma migliora il proprio risultato rispetto alle precedenti elezioni, raggiungendo il 36,06% dei voti alla Camera e il 30% dei voti al Senato. Questo buon risultato non permette alla Coalizione, però, di poter aver una maggioranza, neanche stringendo la consueta alleanza col PNI. Quest'ultimo infatti ha avuto un netto tracollo, passando dal 16,87% del 4151 al 9,49% attuale.

A breve dunque il Presidente De Michelis riceverà il Andrea Sarcosi, leader del PPI, per assegnargli l'incarico di HoG. Ancora ignota la squadra di governo, che il segretario sta costruendo in armonia con i suoi alleati di DI e Patto p.I.
