Alleanza dei Progressisti d'Istalia!
Il PSLI ed i Verdi giungono infine alla decisione di creare l'annunciata piattaforma politica unitaria che convogli le istanze dei progressisti, arrivata anche la risposta positiva dal PSDI

ROMULA - È giunta infine la conferma: l'Alleanza, nata come una blanda piattaforma di dialogo ed incontro, diverrà un vero e proprio soggetto politico che unirà il i Verdi, il PSLI ed il PSDI in una unica entità con programmi comuni e che costituiranno un gruppo parlamentare compatto e coeso.
I partiti coinvolti avevano già confermato la loro vicinanza ideologica e di intenti sostenendo un candidato comune, il Leader di PSLI Michele Scialoja, ed ora arriva l'annuncio che le prossime elezione vedranno di nuovo i tre partiti correre insieme, stavolta sotto il cappello della coalizione dell'Alleanza.

Nei prossimi giorni i leader dei tre partiti di centro-sinistra si incontreranno per scegliere un candidato comune da sostenere alle prossime elezioni come anche per formulare un programma politico unitario e coeso da presentare agli elettori.
Al riguardo si è espresso in questo modo il Leader dei Verdi Rasti durante la conferenza stampa tenuta nella sede del PSLI:

È vero, negli ultimi mesi sono emerse le inevitabili differenze tra noi ed i Social Liberali, ma è anche normale, altrimenti noi non saremo noi e loro non sarebbe loro. Ma vi posso assicurare che i punti che ci accomunano sono stati già ben identificati e sono anche troppi da portare in porto in una sola legislatura. Saremo un'alleanza coesa e compatta, un'alleanza dove non vi saranno estremisti da contrastare o derive eccessive tra i propri membri. Questo perché noi, il PSLI ed il PSDI siamo accomunati da ben precise idee sia sul piano dei diritti sociali e civili, sia su quello economico e fiscale e noi non abbiamo bisogno di avanzare alla cieca sperando nel supporto degli alleati!

Scialoja ha parlato subito dopo Rasti e riprendendo alcuni punti da lui menzionati si è lasciato andare a duri attacchi contro la maggioranza parlamentare:

Ciccio ha detto una cosa fondamentale: qualsiasi nostro Governo non sarà una disperata e scoordinata ricerca del consenso, non presenteremo proposte solo per farle mutilare e per mettere in imbarazzo gli alleati! Sperando di poter conquistare Presidenza e maggioranza, non vedrete alcun braccio di ferro tra le due teste dell'esecutivo nonostante la comune appartenenza politica! Andremo avanti con un coordinamento che l'U.o.L. può solo sognare, anche se in qualche modo dobbiamo ringraziare i Liberisti e la destra: ci hanno dato tonnellate di lavoro, ci consegneranno infatti un Paese da ricostruire a partire dalla fondamenta, perché la "bella" idea del Presidente Monti, di un welfare state minimo, vi posso assicurare che sarà ricordata quanto prima come una effimera esperienza passeggera! Come anche non permetteremo più di mettere in imbarazzo l'intero paese di fronte all'intera comunità internazionale con ridicole e patetiche proposte da smidollati, una proposta, quella del Presidente su Saridan ovviamente, che ha dimostrato ancora una volta quanto la destra ed in particolare il PPI siano totalmente distaccati dalla realtà e che nemmeno si rendano conto della forza e dell'importanza del loro stesso paese!

La dirigenza del PSDI non era invece presenti alla riunione tra Verdi e PSLI, questo a causa della presenza alla manifestazione del Sindacato dei Docenti Istaliani organizzata a Romula nei pressi del Ministero dell'Educazione e della Cultura, ma la Leader dei Socialisti Democratici ha confermato la partecipazione di PSDI nella nuova esperienza in Alleanza con gli altri due partiti del Centro-Sinistra, accogliendo entusiasta molte proposte dei Verdi in ambito ambientale.

Il Congresso costitutivo dovrebbe tenersi a Febbraio e solo allora sapremo chi sarà il candidato comune per la presidenza, che inizierà fin da subito una intensa campagna elettorale per attirare nuovamente gli Istaliani verso il Centro-Sinistra, "abbindolati degli effimeri tagli alle imposte e tasse, misure 'considerevoli' nel breve termine ma che dimostreranno presto la loro inutilità di fronte all'aumento delle imposte dei redditi e della disoccupazione" (Rasti) ma soprattutto, a detta di Scialoja, "traditi dalla più alta istituzione del Paese, pronto a calpestare l'orgoglio dei propri cittadini ed a tendere la mano agli aguzzini dei nostri compatrioti".

The parties involved had already confirmed their ideological proximity and intent supporting a common candidate at the last Presidencial election, the leader of PSLI Michele Scajola, and now comes the announcement that the next election will see again the three parties running together, this time under the coalition hat of the Alliance.

Le forze di Dundorf hanno già cominciato la smobilitazione ed il rientro in patria e presto arriverà probabilmente anche l'ok del Governo di Romula che si è detto soddisfatto delle performance del corpo di spedizione, lasciando al Capo di Stato Maggiore della Marina l'onore di rilasciare una dichiarazione:

Il Corpo di Spedizione Istaliano ha dato prova di efficienza, preparazione ed ottime capacità. Ad oggi posso dire con fierezza che la nostra è sicuramente una delle più avanzate flotte al mondo ed oggi dopo tanto lavoro ed impegno ha raggiunto gli standard che ci aspettavamo ed ad oggi siamo in grado di utilizzare questo eccellente strumento per proiettare virtualmente in tutto il mondo la nostra potenza.

La componente aerea ormai costituita completamente dagli avanzati HF-35 ci ha garantito non solo il controllo del mare ma anche dell'aria e presto, vorrei annunciare a nome di tutta la difesa, verrà il momento di schierare un caccia per superiorità aerea di concezione e fabricazione istaliana che ci darà un vantaggio fondamentale per affrontare qualsiasi minaccia.

ROMULA - L'incubo è finito per le famiglie dei nostri 16 concittadini prima dispersi e poi salvati in Saridan. Dopo il bliz delle forze speciali istaliane che ha liberato 394
istaliani dai campi di lavoro installati in Saridan (viewtopic.php?f=17&t=4118&start=180#p110750) i "nostri" 16 eroi erano stati prima dichiarati dispersi perché non risultanti nell'elenco dei liberati e poi rintracciati dalla polizia locale che li ha tenuti in custodia fino a pochi giorni fa.



Da quel giorni di Agosto del 4158, nel quale furono internati, al giorno del bliz, fino ad oggi, molte cose sono accadute. Il Presidente Molugno aveva fatto della liberazione degli ostaggi una vera e propria missione annunciata durante il suo discorso di insediamento (viewtopic.php?f=17&t=4118&p=110865#p110865). In effetti l'apporto del Presidente Molugno alla liberazione è stato decisivo: riattivate immediatamente le relazioni con le istituzioni di Saridan, egli, coadiuvato dal Ministro degli Esteri Verdi e dal Presidente del Consiglio Monti, ha saputo tessere una trama diplomatica che ha portato alla scrittura del famoso "Molugno Act" (http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill. ... lid=503786), legge che sta per essere approvata all'unanimità, il quale sancisce la fine dell'embargo a Saridan dopo l'arrivo dei 16 superstiti istaliani e della revoca delle leggi "Anti-Istalia". Molugno è stato quindi l'artefice della normalizzazione dei rapporti tra Istalia e Saridan, paesi che erano prima di lui sull'orlo della guerra. Lo stesso Modugno è stato per questo candidato al Premio Novel per la Pace.



Questa la cronaca della giornata odierna: alle 5 di questa mattina è arrivato all'aeroporto l'aereo con a bordo i sedici istaliani. Ad attenderli c'erano i loro cari e il ministro degli Esteri Verdi. Il presidente della Repubblica Domenico Molugno ha poi espresso al microfono grande sollievo per il rientro in patria degli ostaggi "finalmente ricongiunti alle proprie famiglie". "Abbiamo scongiurato una guerra aperta dalle conseguenze imprevedibili", ha proseguito il Presidente nella successiva conferenza stampa, "ora a tutti noi il monito di proseguire nel costruire la pace e il rispetto tra i popoli, camminando sulla via della libertà e della giustizia, ciascuno facendo riferimento alla propria comunità di appartenenza con lo sguardo rivolto al mondo intero".



Nel frattempo la comunità internazionale si è congratulata pubblicamente per l'operato del Presidente e del suo governo per aver trovato una soluzione diplomatica a tale problema. In questi anni di tensione e di lavoro silenzioso delle ambasciate il Presidente Molugno è sempre stato, in modo esemplare, il discreto arbitro della partita, affermando con forza ma anche con pazienza le ragioni della pace e della salvaguardia di ogni vita umana.

Grazie, grazie a tutti! Questa vittoria non è solo mia, è una vittoria di tutti coloro che in questi passati lunghi otto anni si sono battuti contro lo scempio portato avanti dalle destre!
Che si sono battuti dalla parte dei cittadini, dei lavoratori, dei più deboli ed anche di coloro che si sono fatti abbindolare da demagogici tagli alle tasse che hanno avvantaggiato solo a grandi patrimoni e grandi aziende!
Mi rendo conto che sarò alla testa di una ampia coalizione, ma l'Alleanza dei Progressisti da tempo ha delineato i programmi da mettere in atto ed il Partito Nazionalista sarà al nostro fianco nel ricostruire questo Stato martoriato ed azzoppato dai scellerati ed inutili tagli delle passate amministrazioni!
Abbiamo ancora centinaia di migliaia di persone senza lavoro a causa degli enormi esuberi, i redditi più bassi oberati dalle imposte, pensioni e sussidi ridotti all'osso, crollo dei consumi tra incertezza e costi lievitati tra assicurazioni sanitarie e per servizi che lo Stato non è stato più in grado di garantire, tutto ciò a fronte di una crescita del PIL poco maggiore alle altrettante buone prestazioni dei decenni precedenti, un tasso di occupazione ben al di sotto delle speranze ed un mondo del lavoro molto più incerto e che offre condizioni e tutele decisamente inferiori per i lavoratori.

Oggi noi, insieme, dichiariamo che il Pil sono solo cifre su uno schermo, numeri che non indicano nulla delle reali condizioni della società, condizioni di fronte alle quali le destre hanno preferito voltare la testa lodate da chi ha guadagnato e lucrato!
Oggi noi, insieme, scardiniamo il paradigma "tagli = crescita", consci, fatti e studi scientifici in mano, che la disparità e le ineguaglianze causano danni molto maggiori dei benefici promessi da tagli e deregolamentazioni.
Il nostro paese dieci anni fa vantava un sistema di welfare invidiabile, che garantiva ampi servizi ai nostri cittadini, primo fra tutti l'assistenza medica, servizi che sono stati demoliti da un taglio di quasi la metà dei fondi, un provvedimento alle quali le destre non hanno saputo dare risposta affidandosi ad un mercato che ha favorito invece solo grandi imprenditori e gruppi di interesse.
Ci hanno criticato accusandoci di fare "terrorismo mediatico" parlando delle conseguenze di quelle riforme scellerate, ma cosa si aspettavano agendo come macellai armati di mannaia?
Oggi noi, insieme, ripartiremo e ricostruiremo ed insieme ridaremo anche lustro alla reputazione della nostra Nazione, divenuta lo zimbello del mondo con alleati e nazioni a noi vicine che hanno ampiamente criticato la scellerata proposta del mio predecessore salvato solo dall'ottimo ed egregio lavoro del Ministro degli Esteri, l'Onorevole Verdi, che ringrazio vivamente per la serietà e la sua decisamente più accorta visione geopolitica, linea politica che sarà da noi continuata: via le sanzioni, ma ora vogliamo i fatti da Saridan!
La destra ha venduto sogni, fumo negli occhi ed oggi è stata punita! I cittadini vogliono sicurezza e benessere, non incertezza e sfrenata competizione.
Oggi noi, insieme, ci opponiamo alle logiche della legge del più forte, sulla quale si basa il liberismo sfrenato ed adatto a barbari e selvaggi!
Oggi noi, insieme, dimostreremo che siamo una nazione civile ed avanzata, che pensa ai propri cittadini senza guardare al portafoglio, ed insieme riporteremo sicurezza e benessere alla nostra nazione!

A Scialoja sono seguite le dichiarazioni degli altri leader della coalizione che ha appoggiato il neo eletto Presidente e che ci hanno permesso di riassumere un po' più nel dettaglio quello che il Paese dovrà aspettarsi durante la prossima legislatura:

Riforma ampiamente progressiva dei redditi che alleggerirà gli scaglioni per i bassi redditi aumentandoli per i più elevati.
Ristabilimento dei fondi per welfare, pensioni e sanità con assunzione nei prossimi anni di buona parte degli esuberi causati dai passati tagli e rifinanziamento per incentivi fiscali alla ricerca come anche al settore dei servizi per chi assumerà.
Assicurare nuovamente i diritti dei lavoratori e dei sindacati.
Riportare l'età del pensionamento a 60 anni.
Ridare un ruolo allo Stato nel regolamentare l'economia ed intervenire per fronteggiare fallimenti e crisi del mercato.
Tornare a tuttelare i diritti e le libertà dei cittadini.

Un programma che nonostante il carico di lavoro che si prospetta ha fatto storcere il naso alle frange più estremiste che lamentano il fatto che sembra non voglia intaccare le ampie privatizzazioni degli scorsi anni, critiche al quale Scialoja ha così risposto:

Abbiamo dovuto dare priorità ad alcune cose rispetto ad altre, è vero, ma dieci anni di riforme draconiane non potranno essere spazzate via in un giorno ed una notte. Come detto tante volte c'è molto da lavorare e quelle ora delineate sono le cose più importanti da fare e che non dobbiamo farci sfuggire. Per il resto invito i cittadini a continuare a fidarsi di noi anche per le prossime elezioni e vi assicuro che raggiungeremo tutti gli obbiettivi, insieme!

Dunque Scialoja sembra voler chiaramente restare a Palazzo Quattroregni (sede e residenza ufficiale del Presidente della Republica) per più di quattro anni, intanto però tiene la testa ben concentrata sull'attuale legislatura godendosi con amici e familiari la vittoria appena conquistata.

Thank you, thank you at all! This victory is not mine alone, it's a victory for all those who in these past eight long years fought against the destruction carried out by the Rights!
Who fought on the side of citizens, workers, the weaker and also of those who have become beguiled by demagogic tax cuts of which have benefited only large estates and large companies!

Today, together, we will restart and rebuild and also together we will restore luster to the reputation of our country, which has become the laughing stock of the world with allies and nations close to us who have widely criticized the absurd proposal of my predecessor only saved by the excellent and outstanding job of Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Honourable Mr Verdi, which i warmly thank for the seriousness and its far more shrewd geopolitical, policy which will be continued by us: via sanctions, but now we want the facts from Saridan!
The Right has sold dreams, smoke and mirrors, and today has been punished! People want security and prosperity, not uncertainty and unbridled competition.
Today, together, we stand opposed to the logic of the law of the jungle, which is based on the unbridled liberism and suitable for barbarians and savages!
Today, together, we will demonstrate that we are a civilized and advanced nation that thinks to its citizens without looking at the portfolio, and together we will report safety and well-being to our Nation!

After Scialoja followed the statements of the other leaders of the coalition which supported the newly elected President and that allowed us to summarize a bit in more detail what the country should expect during the next legislature:

Reform broadly progressive of the income taxation which will ease the echelons for low income increasing them for the highest.
Restoring funding for welfare, pensions and health care with hiring in the coming years for many of the redundancies caused by past cuts and refinancing for tax incentives for research as well as to the services sector for those who will hire.
Ensure again the rights of workers and trade unions.
Bring back the retirement age to 60 years.
Give again a role to the State in regulating the economy and intervene to address market failures and crises.
Back to protect the rights and freedoms of citizens.

A program which despite the workload that lies ahead has made turn up the noses to the most extremist fringe groups which complain that seems unwilling affecting the large privatizations of recent years, criticism to which Scialoja replied in this way:

We had to give priority to some things than others, it's true, but ten years of draconian reforms can not be wiped out in a single day and night. As said many times there is a lot of work and those now outlined are the most important things to do, and that we should not be missed. For the rest I invite the citizens to continue to trust us for the next election and I assure you that we will achieve all the objectives, together!

So Scialoja clearly seems to want to stay at Quattroregni Palace (Official seat and residence of the President of the Republic) for more than four years, but meanwhile he keeps the head well focused on the current legislative term enjoying with friends and family the victory just achieved.

ROMULA - Giornata fredda ma con il sole per questo ottocentesimo anniversario della fondazione della Repubblica, che ha visto Romula addobbata per l'occasione ospitare la grande tradizionale parata militare che è sfilata all'ombra dei millenari monumenti della città e quindi di fronte alle autorità sul palco d'onore e migliaia di cittadini accorsi per assistere all'evento.

Il Presidente della Repubblica prima dell'inizio della parata ha reso omaggio all'Altare della Nazione agli innumerevoli eroi della Repubblica, primi fra tutti Carlo Aurelio Gianti ed Enrico Bergson, sepolti nella cripta dell'Altare rispettivamente come primi presidenti della prima e quarta Repubblica Istaliana, ed ad Alessandro Senna che, anche se seppellito nel suo mausoleo, ha un epitaffio accanto ai sepolcri degli illustri predecessori.

Dopo la parata le autorità si sono ritrovare a Palazzo Quattroregni dove hanno continuato le celebrazioni, anche all'ombra degli alberi dei vasti giardini, ed ascoltato il discorso presidenziale sullo stato della Repubblica durante il quale ha ribadito:

Con risolutezza riaffermiamo la fede della Repubblica nella Democrazia, nella Libertà, nello Stato di Diritto, nel Rispetto dei Diritti del Cittadino ed è con mio grande piacere annunciare che l'avvio del dibattito sulla Nuova Carta dei Diritti del Cittadini e dei Doveri dello Stato è stato accolto con favore ed entusiasmo da praticamente tutto lo spettro politico nazionale, segno di quanto i valori sui quali si basa la Repubblica siano ormai radicati nel sistema politico e nello stesso retaggio storico e cultura della Nazione.
Sono inoltre particolarmente contento che questo ottocentesimo anniversario sia caduto durante il mio mandato che ha visto, lavorando con i partiti della maggioranza ma anche di parte dell'opposizione, una forte ripresa da parte dello Stato della promozione e tutela dei diritti sociali e civili dei nostri cittadini.

La giornata non è però finita lì, poiché nel tardo pomeriggio il Presidente, il Presidente del Consiglio Martina Russo ed il Ministro della Difesa Usman Khawar sono volati a Triesta, ammantata dalla neve, per partecipare l'indomani mattina al varo del NS Vittorioso, primo dei cinque programmati sottomarini lanciamissili balistici di cui si doterà la Marina Militare della Repubblica nei prossimi anni.

Per l'occasione il Corriere ha intervistato il Ministro della Difesa che ha sinteticamente fatto il punto dello stato della Difesa Nazionale:

Un lungo sforzo durato quasi un secolo sta per giungere a termine: l'Istalia si è ormai dotata di forze militari all'avanguardia e tra le più avanzate e potenti al mondo. Siamo qui oggi per inaugurare l'ennesimo gioiello della Marina della Repubblica, la forza armata verso la quale sono stati rivolti la maggior parte delle sforzi per ampliare e modernizzare le nostre capacità difensive. È infatti indubbio che una potente forza navale è il fattore fondamentale per poter garantire le necessarie capacità di proiezione delle nostre forze armate nel resto del mondo e quindi affermare il ruolo dell'Istalia nel mondo.
Parallelamente le acquisizioni di nuovi velivoli per l'Aeronautica, tra caccia, aerei di trasporto e bombardieri strategici, e di nuovi mezzi ed armamenti per l'esercito, mezzi blindati, carri armati, logistica, ecc..., hanno completato la modernizzazione di tutte le forze armate che hanno definitivamente raggiunto le capacità per operare virtualmente in qualsiasi scenario bellico e per affrontare qualsiasi minaccia possa interessare la Repubblica od i suoi interessi.
Il nuovo Governo ritiene ormai concluso quello che è stato dichiarato informalmente negli ambienti della Difesa il Grande Programma ed ha quindi deciso di ridurre dal prossimo anno le fin ora ampie spese della difesa dedicate all'acquisizione di mezzi ed armamenti ed alla costruzione di nuovi vascelli. Verranno invece appena intaccati i fondi dedicati alla Ricerca e lo Sviluppo che, insieme ai fondi ordinari per il mantenimento delle Forze Armate, garantiranno il continuo aggiornamento delle capacità della Difesa ed il loro mantenimento allo Stato dell'Arte.

Il Presidente Scialoja di rientro dal porto di Triesta ha rilasciato infine un'ultima breve dichiarazione:

Il mio lontano predecessore, sia come Presidente della Repubblica che come leader del PSLI, Alessandro Senna, sarebbe orgoglioso di vedere dove è arrivata la nostra grande Nazione a quasi cento anni dalla sua dipartita. Abbiamo tenuto fede ai suoi obbiettivi, abbiamo dimostrato che non erano solo sogni i suoi, trasformandoli in realtà con costanza e fermezza, abbiamo garantito un ruolo di primo ordine dell'Istalia sulla scena mondiale, abbiamo garantito al Paese un ruolo invidiabile tra le forze difensive del pianeta e sono particolarmente fiero del fatto che il Paese sia diventato un faro nel mondo per chiunque creda nei valori della Libertà, della Tolleranza e della Democrazia, in grado di mobilitare grandi forze e grandi campagne in difesa di tutti quegli quegli oppressi e schiacciati che non hanno la forza di far sentire la loro voce.

ROMULA - Cold day but with the sun for this eight hundredth anniversary of the foundation of the Republic, which saw Romula decked out for the occasion accommodate the large traditional military parade which show to the shade of millennia-old monuments of the city and then to the authorities on the stage d 'honor and thousands of citizens flocked to witness the event.

I am also particularly pleased that this eight hundredth anniversary has fallen during my term which saw, working with the parties of the majority but also with some of the opposition, a strong recovery from the state of promotion and protection of social and civil rights of our citizens.

The day does not end there, because in the late afternoon the President, the President of the Council Martina Russo and the Minister of Defense Usman Khawar flew to Trieste, cloaked by the snow, to be present the next morning at the launch of the NS victorious, first of the five planned Ballistic missile submarine which will equip the Navy of the Republic in the coming years.

For the occasion, the Correre interviewed the Minister of Defense who briefly reported on the status of the National Defense:

A long effort lasting almost a century is about to come to an end: Istalia is now equipped with cutting-edge military forces and among the most advanced and powerful in the world. We are here today to inaugurate yet another jewel of the Republic Navy, the armed force to which were addressed most of the efforts to expand and modernize our defense capabilities. It is indeed no doubt that a powerful naval force is the key factor to ensure the necessary projection capability of our armed forces in the rest of the world and therefore affirm the role of Istalia worldwide.
In parallel, the acquisitions of new aircraft for the Air Force, including hunting, air transport and strategic bombers, and new means and armament for the army, armored vehicles, tanks, logistics, etc ..., have completed the modernization of all the armed forces who have definitely reached the capabilities to operate in virtually any war scenario and to deal with any threat could affect the Republic or its interests.
The new government believes now concluded what was informally called in defense environments the Great Program and therefore decided to reduce from next year the, until now, large defense spending devoted to the acquisition of vehicles and armament and the construction of new vessels. We will instead just affected the funds dedicated to Research and Development which, together with ordinary funds for the maintenance of the Armed Forces, will ensure the continuous upgrading of the skills of Defense and their maintenance to the state-of-the-art.

My distant predecessor, as President of the Republic and as leader of PSLI, Alessandro Senna, would be proud to see where it came our great nation to almost one hundred years after his death. We have lived up to its objectives, we showed that they were not only his dreams, turning them into reality with perseverance and firmness, we have secured a first order role of Istalia on the world stage, we guarantee to the Country an enviable role between the defense forces of the planet and we are particularly proud of the fact that the country has become a beacon in the world for anyone who believes in the values of liberty, of tolerance and democracy, capable of mobilizing large forces and great campaigns in defense of all those oppressed and crushed who not have the strength to make heard their voices.

ROMULA - Nel corso del 50° Congresso Nazionale del PPI è giunta al termine la segreteria di Andrea Sarcosi, eletto nel 4155 e guida di un governo che ha saputo dare al paese un vero e proprio shock liberale. Le riforme portate avanti da Sarcosi e dalla coalizione "Union of Liberals" si sono protratte per quattro anni e hanno trovato successivamente una continuazione col governo Monti il quale è rimasto in carica sino al 4165. In totale il centrodestra ha guidato il paese per 10 anni consecutivi.

Il mandato di Sarcosi come segretario del PPI termina dopo 20 anni. Eletto nel 4144, egli fu, a suo tempo, il rottamatore dell'ala sovranista del PPI, capeggiata dal predecessore Figni. Con Sarcosi riprese slancio la corrente Liberal, che è stata poi la vera matrice della Coalizione "U.o.L" che ha guidato il paese in questi anni. Il mandato di Sarcosi, giunto ad una scadenza "naturale", lascia il PPI come primo partito del paese col 20% dei seggi alla Camera. "Sono orgoglioso di quello che abbiamo fatto in questi anni" ha dichiarato Sarcosi, "lascio il testimone a chi può proseguire l'opera di rinascita liberale del nostro paese".

Il 50° Congresso Nazionale del PPI ha dovuto dunque eleggere il nuovo segretario. L'assise ha manifestato una volontà davvero impressionante nel voler proseguire l'opera di Sarcosi. La prima votazione ha infatti visto già eletto il delfino dell'ex-segretario Davide Camerone col 85% dei voti. Su di lui sono confluiti i voti dei Liberal, dei Popolari, dei TeoCon, del BigOil e di una parte del Fronte Nazionalista. "Sono onorato di questo voto così compatto e deciso. Ringrazio Sarcosi per il sostegno e per l'insegnamento di questi anni" sono state le prime parole del segretario.



"Ora dobbiamo fronteggiare l'avanzata della Sinistra ed arginare la sua opera di distruzione delle buone cose che abbiamo fatto", ha proseguito Camerone. "L'unica cosa che la Sinistra sa fare bene è aumentare le tasse e la spesa pubblica. La seconda cosa che sa fare è distruggere i valori della nastra nazione scambiando lo 0,5% di cittadini arcobaleno con la maggioranza". "La nostra campagna elettorale è già cominciata: l'"Union of Liberals" si riprenderà la maggioranza dei seggi per dare libertà e giustizia all'Istalia".

A quei giornalisti che gli chiedevano un parere sul PNI e sulla sua partecipazione al governo di Sinistra egli ha risposto: "Noi avevamo preso contatti col PNI e avevamo proposto loro una squadra di governo. A loro sarebbero andati 5 ministeri. Di punto in bianco hanno poi accettato di far parte del governo progressista. Peccato: si vede che sono in imbarazzo nel governo coi Verdi....speriamo che per le prossime elezioni ci ripensino e tornino nel centro-destra, che è la loro casa naturale"
