Maddaloni e Bonanni in Aldegar: ripresa del dialogo pacifico e dell'espansione del Canale
Il Governo Socialista-Progressista di Aldegar interessato a riprendere il riavvicinamento già iniziato dal Presidente Lavinia Maggi

Dopo quasi quarant'anni, Istalia ed Aldegar tornano a dialogare ed a riprendere il cammino della conciliazione già tentato dal Presidente Lavinia Maggi nella seconda metà degli anni '40.
Il Presidente Maddaloni e la Ministra degli Esteri Mirella Bonanni sono infatti tornare questa mattina da una visita di Stato in Aldegar dove si sono incontrate con il Capo di Stato Shah Bavard Shapurj e con il Capo del Governo ed il Ministro degli Esteri Haideh Delkhan and Puriya Irani, espressione della maggioranza considerata come fautrice dell'incremento dei livelli di democraticità nel Paese, come recentemente mostrato dal Rapporto dell'Istituto per gli Studi sulla Democrazia Shi Yawen.
Ai tempi della Maggi, la restaurazione della monarchia e la presenza di un Monarca che nuovamente aveva tentato di riprendere le ostilità con Baltusia avevano fatto naufragare il lavoro di Maggi e dell'allora Governo repubblicano, con il quale l'Istalia stava conducendo negoziati relativi al progetto di espansione del Canale sull'Istmo Seleyano: il Governo di Aldagar stava infatti cercando partner internazionali per finanziare i lavori, opera di titanica portata tanto quanto la costruzione del Canale stesso (un canale più largo avrebbe affiancato il primo e solo in parte avrebbero condiviso opere e sedi comuni).
Oggi i Governi di Romula e Pāytakht-e Aldegār hanno dimostrato a riprendere il dialogo continuando a tenere il Progetto del Canale al centro dell'attenzione: il Presidente Maddaloni ed il Capo del Governo Delkhan hanno infatti firmato un'intesa preliminare per riprendere il progetto garantendo importanti investimenti dall'Istalia come anche l'apporto del know how Istaliano, nonostante sul piano progettuale i piani preparati dagli Aldegariani già anni orsono furono considerati di ottima concezione.

Ma al di là di questo accordo, importante è stato il contatto umano come anche culturale, con le autorità Aldegariane che hanno offerto ai Rappresentati d'Istalia una visita della capitale rendendo omaggio al fulcro culturale di tutta la civiltà Aldegariana, con le sue vestigia e la sua storia milleniarie, ma anche del nuovo museo di arte contemporanea dove la Presidentessa Maddaloni è stata omaggiata dal Presidente Shapurj di un antico manufatto in argento risalente al tempo degli imperi medievali.

La Presidentessa al suo ritorno da Aldegar ha dichiarato che entrambi i paesi hanno intrapreso la strada più giusta, la più giusta per entrambi i popoli, una strada all'insegna di una coordiale coesistenza, una pacifica normalizzazione dei rapporti con il fermo obbiettivo di lasciarsi alle spalle le passate animosità. Comprendiamo inoltre il Governo Aldegariano che non vuole precipitare e le cose e vuole invece prendersi il tempo dovuto per sviluppare i rapporti e rispetteremo il calendario che proporranno.
Infatti questa normalizzazione potrebbe avere anche importanti risvolti geopolitici, con una diminuzione dell'importanza strategica della base Aeronavale di Costa de Oro in Baltusia e quindi diminuzione di truppe ed unità dislocate, magari a favore di altre basi in teatri differenti del globo. Il Presidente non ha comunque detto se durante gli incontri si è parlato della base, anche se alcuni analisti avanzano l'impotesi come ulteriore segno di buona volontà nei confronti di aldegar che sicuramente vorrebbe essere certa che nessuna testata nucleare sia presente a Costa de Oro, voci che non sono mai confermate né smentite dall'Istalia nel corso dei decenni fin dall'apertura della base.

Socialist-Progressive Government of Aldegar interested in resuming the rapprochement already begun by President Lavinia Maggi

After nearly forty years, Istalia and Aldegar return to dialogue and resume the path of reconciliation already attempted by President Lavinia Maggi in the second half of the 4240s.
President Maddaloni and Foreign Minister Mirella Bonanni are coming back this morning from a state visit to Aldegar where they met with Shah Bavard Shapurj, the Head of State, and with the Head of Government and Foreign Minister Haideh Delkhan and Puriya Irani, all three expression of the majority considered to be the advocate of the rise of the levels of democracy in the country, as recently shown by the raport of the Shi Yawen Institute for Democracy Studies.
At the time of the Presidency of Maggi, the restoration of the monarchy and the presence of a monarch who had once again attempted to resume hostilities with Baltusia had wrecked the work of Maggi and of the then republican government, with whom Istalia was conducting negotiations on the a project to expand the Channel on the SeleyanIsthmus: Aldagar's government was in fact seeking international partners to finance the works, a work of titanic scope as much as the construction of the Canal itself (a larger channel would have flanked the former and only partially shared structures and common ways).
Today, the Romula and Pāytakht-e Aldegār Governments have been able to resume dialogue by continuing to keep the Channel project in the spotlight: President Maddaloni and Premier Delkhan have signed a preliminary agreement to resume the project by securing significant investments from Istalia as well as the contribution of the Istalian know-how, although the plans prepared by the Aldegarians years ago were already considered to be very good.
But apart from this agreement, human contact as well as cultural was important, with the Aldegarian authorities who offered to the Representatives of Istalia a visit of the Capital city, paying homage to the cultural center of all Aldegarian civilization, with its millennial vestiges and history, but also the new museum of contemporary art where President Maddaloni was honored by the President Shapurj of an ancient silver artifact dating to the time of the medieval empires.
The President, on his return from Aldegar, stated that both countries have embarked on the right way, the most favorable for both peoples, a road to co-existence and a peaceful normalization of relations with the goal of leaving behind the past animosity. We also understand, continued the President, the Aldegarian Government who does not want to rush things and instead wants to take the time to develop relations and we will respect the schedule they will propose.
Indeed, this normalization could also have important geopolitical implications, with a decrease in the strategic importance of the Air Naval base of Costa de Oro in Baltusia, and hence a decrease in troops and displaced units, perhaps in favor of other bases in different theaters on the globe. However, the President did not say if she talked with the Aldegarian Government about the military base even though some analysts advanced the this scenario as a further sign of good will towards Aldegar which would surely want to be certain that no nuclear warheads are present in Costa de Oro, voices that have never been confirmed or denied by Istalia over the decades since the opening of the base.

Presidente Betta Maddaloni discussing deal with P.N.P.

Maddaloni (C.C.) Announces Deal with P.N.P. on Padagnan Referendum

Following the rejection of the Aham government, President of the Republic Betta Maddaloni announced that she would not be continuing to pursue a referendum on federalization. Instead, Maddaloni entered into high-level talks with Luciana Vespa, leader of the P.N.P., regarding Padagnan autonomy.

Both sides made compromises, but ultimately the final deal is as follows:
-Chamber of Deputies will be raised to 635 seats
--Deputies allowances will be reduced to a nominal salary
-Binding referendum will be held on Padagnan autonomy
--66.7% of eligible voters must cast a ballot for the result to be binding
--50% of voters must support autonomy for it to be instituted

President Maddaloni had the following to say about the deal:

This proposal, while it is not perfect for any of the parties, will increase accountability in a major way. It will require a referendum on autonomy, not simply being mandated from the top-down on the people against their will. The proposal will not tarnish Istalia's image, and it will strengthen our nation's integrity. At the same time, we are ensuring that the Chamber of Deputies is restored to its historic numbers of 635. This was really important to many in my movement, as is the proposal to reduce the salaries of parliamentarians so that they are truly citizen-legislators and not professional politicians.

Dagoberto Vigilante, Prime Minister of Istalia, also weighed in on the deal, to which he was privy of the details. "I believe that this will give closure, once and for all, to the Padagnan crisis that has plagued our Republic. We will not federalize nor will we change the fundamental nature of our nation's laws. Instead, we will allow the region in question to determine the extent of its own future in the Istalian nation. Talk of secession has ended, and now we are simply looking at whether or not Padagna should choose to be autonomy or not."

Reports from those with knowledge of the talks say that they were cordial and both Vespa and Maddaloni were respectful of each other. "The two woman showed great leadership in their ability to compromise while standing up for their values," an anonymous source close to Maddaloni stated.

The earliest polling shows a large majority for autonomy in Padagna, but the campaigning has yet to begin in earnest: indeed, the next step is for Parliament to pass the referendum enabling legislation.

AL-KASRAJ - Il Ministro degli Esteri Mirella Bonanni nuovamente in viaggio, stavolta per rendere visita alla capitale di Kafuristan dove è stata invitata dal Governo espressione del Partito "Resistenza", fautore della caduta della monarchia, dell'instaurazione di una Repubblica laica e dell'approvazione di numerose riforme che hanno e stanno ancora oggi democratizzando il paese.
Sostenuti dal Governo Istaliano durante questi ultimi anni riconoscendo e lodando il notevole sforzo per aprire il paese al pluralismo politico, stabilita la nuova Repubblica Unita di Kafuristan il Governo di al-Kasraj per voce del Ministro degli Esteri Zahid Mansuur ha invitato una delegazione istaliana per ristabilire pienamente le relazioni diplomatiche e quindi discutere del futuro del paese all'interno dell'Alleanza Majatrana come anche di un rafforzamento dei legami culturali con l'Istalia, riaffermando accogliendo il Ministro Bonanni che Ci sono molti legami che legano le due nazioni ed i loro popoli e che in un mondo incerto si debba lavorare insieme per garantire la prosperità reciproca.
Il Governo di Kafuristan si è detto infatti molto interessato a tornare ad essere un membro attivo dell'Alleanza Majatrana e quindi a cooperare con i partner Alleati ai programmi comuni nonché a beneficiare delle possibilità del mercato inter-alleato.
Riguardo le relazioni con l'Istalia, il Capo di Stato Kafuri, il Presidente Mehdi al-Sarraj ed il Ministro Bonanni, invitata al Palazzo Presidenziale, hanno voluto sottolineare come i legami tra i due paesi sono molto più profondi di quanto si possa immaginare: gli Emiri di Quanzar infatti, gli antichi dominatori di tutta Majatra orientale e quindi dell'Istalia fino al 2110, ma in generale la maggior parte degli Istaliani majatrani (Quanzari), discendono dalle tribù majatrane che specialmente da Kafuristan si sono disperse per il continente durante gli anni del primo Califfato Ahmadi ed anzi, i Quanzari d'Istalia probabilmente sono gli ultimi esponenti di quei majatrani sud-orientali stanziali ed urbani un tempo diffusi da Kalopia fino all'Istalia e che hanno avuto origine come detto proprio dalle antiche tribù nomadi di Kafuristan.
La visita, ha dichiarato il Ministro, rappresenta un passo importantissimo per Kafuristan che si avvicina sempre più alle nazioni libere di Majatra e che giunge a pochi mesi dalla recisione unilaterale del Trattato tra Kafuristan e Beiteynu che giunge a pochi anni dalla medesima misura adottata dal neo re-installatosi governo comunista di Badara.
Il Ministro Bonanni ha fermamente dichiarato che con una Kafuristan democratica, libera ed all'interno dell'Alleanza, le nazioni più orientali del continente rappresenteranno il vero zoccolo duro dell'Alleanza Majatrana e che la coltivazione di rapporti sempre più stretti tra Istalia, Kafuristan e Solentia e quindi la maggiore integrazione economica nell'area, favorita dalla vicinanza dei tre paesi, garantirà pace, stabilità e prosperità per tutti i popoli coinvolti.
Il Ministro Bonanni infine, prima di ripartire alla volta dell'Istalia, ha proposto la cooperazione tra le istituzioni culturali Kafuri con quelle Quanzari in Istalia, per esempio con il Museo Quanzariano di Verunia, il più importante polo museale dedicato alla cultura majatrana in Istalia (là dove sorgeva l'antica capitale di Quanzar), per ridare lustro ad un periodo della storia Majatrana e dei majatrani, e che per loro probabilmente è stato il più prospero, con l'Impero di Quanzar che ha rappresentato una vera fioritura per la cultura majatrana a scapito della dominante cultura barmeniana diffusasi precedentemente con il Califfato Ahmadi.

Bonanni visits al-Kasraj to meet the new Republican government of Kafuristan
Resumption of Kafuristan activity within the Majatran Alliance and ever closer economic and cultural relations

AL-KASRAJ - Foreign Minister Mirella Bonanni traveled again this time to visit the capital of Kafuristan where he was invited by the government expression of the "Resistance" Party, advocate of the fall of the monarchy, the establishment of a secular Republic and the approval of numerous reforms that have and still are today democratizing the country.
Supported by the Istalian Government during the recent years recognizing and praising the tremendous effort to open the country to the political pluralism, established the new United Republic of Kafuristan, al-Kasraj's government through the Foreign Minister Zahid Mansuur invited an Istalian delegation to reestablish full diplomatic relations and then discussing the country's future within the Majatran Alliance as well as strengthening the cultural ties with Istalia, reaffirming by welcoming Minister Bonanni that there are many bonds which tie our nations and our peoples, and in an uncertain world we must work together to ensure our mutual prosperity.
The Kafuristan's Government declared to be very interested in becoming again an active member of the Majatrana Alliance and therefore to cooperate with the Allied partners on common programs and to benefit from the possibilities of the inter-allied market.
Regarding the relations with Istalia, Kafuri Chief of State, President Mehdi al-Sarraj and Minister Bonanni, invited to the Presidential Palace, wanted to point out how the ties between the two countries are much deeper than we can imagine: the Emirs of Quanzar in fact, the ancient rulers of all Eastern Majatra and then of Istalia until 2110, but in general the majority of the majatran Istalians (Quanzaris) descend from the majatran tribes which especially from Kafuristan spread out over the continent during the years of the first Ahmadi Caliphate, and indeed, the Quanzari of Istalia are probably the last members of those settled and urban south-east majatrans who occupied once the land between Kalopia and Itaalia and which originated as said by the ancient nomadic tribes of Kafuristan.
The visit, the Minister said, is a very important step for Kafuristan, which is getting closer to the free nations of Majatra, and it came a few months after the unilateral withdrawal of the Treaty between Kafuristan and Beiteynu, which follow after few years the same measure adopted by the new re-installed Communist government of Badara.
Minister Bonanni has firmly stated that with a democratic and free Kafuristan, and within the Alliance, the most eastern nations of the continent will be the real hard-core of the Majatrana Alliance and that the growing ever closer relations between Istalia, Kafuristan and Solentia and therefore greater economic integration in the area, favored by the proximity of the three countries, will guarantee peace, stability and prosperity for all the peoples involved.
Minister Bonanni finally proposed cooperation between Kafuri and Quanzari cultural institutions, for example with the Quanzarian Museum of Verunia, the most important museum dedicated to the Majatran culture in Istalia (where the ancient capital of Quanzar stood), to restore the prestige of a period of the Majatra's and Majatrans' history, and which for them was probably the most prosperous, with the Quanzar Empire which represented a true flowering for their culture at the expense of the dominant barmenian culture which previously became dominant in Majatra with the Ahmadi Caliphate.

Alessandro Eugenio di Nacosia-Rohan si espone su del Grillo: "L'Istalia deve cambiare e per farlo siamo noi che dobbiamo cambiare in primis"


ROMULA - Occupato nel suo ruolo di Ministro della Difesa, negli ultimi due anni di Nacosia-Rohan ha avuto poche occasioni per parlare al pubblico ed alla stampa, lasciando spazio a quello che è stato definito il suo braccio destro, il Capo Gruppo alla Camera Stefano Romulani, e quindi al Segretario Nazionale che proprio durante quest'ultima legislatura ha voluto presentare di persona diversi importanti leggi, in primis l'introduzione dei contributi aziendali e la legge sulla responsabilità Governativa in campo culturale.
Le proposte sono chiaramente in linea con le tendenze maggioritarie all'interno del Partito, ovvero socialdemocratiche, apportate dai numerosi eletti tra le fila di LP che provengono in effetti dal disciolto Partito Verde Progressista o dai movimenti della sinistra extraparlamentare.
Nonostante ciò, il numero due del Partito non ha potuto evitare di mettere in discussione la leadership di del Grillo, facendolo con questa dichiarazione rilasciata a Nuovi Orizzonti:

Il Segretario sta agendo ormai come un mero portavoce, senza alcun che da proporre al Partito per il quale agisce come mero esecutore, poiché tra lui, simbolo della vecchia dirigenza, ed il resto del partito ormai si è aperto un vero baratro. Ma anzi, forse possiamo scorgere anche i tentativi per trattenere il partito legato ad un'area politica che non sentiamo più nostra! Il Partito è divenuto il collettore di voci che da troppo tempo non trovano spazio in parlamento ed è per questo che sarebbe utile tendere la mano ad Uniti Verso il Progresso, che vediamo come l'unico vero altro partito Progressista, in ambito sociale ma soprattutto economico. Infatti, è l'economia ed il ruolo dello Stato in questo fine del secolo che LP vuole rimettere in discussione. Io in primis voglio offrire alle nuove generazioni qualcosa di diverso, un'Istalia diversa e non bloccata su assiomi che ormai stanno rivelando tutta la loro debolezza.
L'Istalia ha raggiunto vette non indifferenti, è vero ed innegabile, ma per ogni trionfo esiste un risvolto della medaglia ed oggi ciò che ci troviamo ad affrontare è proprio il risvolto della medaglia di una economia capitalista e globalizzata! Dobbiamo far fronte alla realtà dell'immigrazione, dobbiamo far fronte alla realtà dei quartieri più disagiati, dobbiamo far fronte ad un palpabile immobilismo sociale ed al divario sempre crescente tra i redditi.
Ho lasciato Alternativa Istaliana non solo per la deriva che ha sperimentato sotto i Nazionalisti di Padagna, ma anche perché non trovato più realistico il paradigma economico e sociale di cui AI si diceva campione come comunque buona parte dei partiti degli ultimi trenta o quarant'anni.
Ed infine la realtà e le statistiche sembra abbia dato ragione a me ed a tutti coloro che già da tempo hanno cominciato a denunciare le criticità del nostro sistema socio-economico e tra questi proprio Libertà e Progresso anni fa si era già espresso su simili problematiche, ma i Segretari che da allora si sono succeduti sembrano abbiano preferito ignorare le voci che provenivano dal loro stesso partito.
Ma ora credo sia tempo di ascoltare queste voci, di ascoltare i lamenti degli insoddisfatti, di chi ci ha perso nella rincorsa di questa smisurata ed opulenta prosperità istaliana, è tempo di garantire a tutti i frutti di questo grande benessere!

Alla luce di quello che sembra un vero e proprio programma politico per riformare il partito dalle fondamenta e di fronte all'ennesima dichiarazione che mostra un di Nacosia-Rohan fermamente contrario all'ampio liberalismo che come detto è stato un paradigma Istaliano dell'ultimo secolo, il nostro giornalista ha voluto quindi chiedere al Ministro se molti dei suoi oppositori interni al partito sbaglino a definirlo come un "Principe Socialista":

Dovrei prenderlo come un'insulto? Da troppo tempo ormai qualsiasi politica attenta ai meno fortunati viene troppo superficialmente etichettata come "socialista" e non parlo solo dell'Istalia, ma possiamo vederlo in molte altre nazioni! Si tenta di introdurre un sistema sanitario pubblico? Ti dicono che sei socialista. Si vuole sovvenzionare educazione e servizi per i meno abbienti e chi non può permetterseli? Ti dicono che sei socialista! Si vuole proteggere il territorio, l'ambiente e la salute dei cittadini? Ti dicono che sei socialista!
Non solo ciò mostra l'estrema ignoranza in campo politico e storico, non solo si utilizza impropriamente il termine "socialismo" per una varietà di valori, proposte e misure che in realtà appartengono ad una galassia di pensieri politici anche molto distanti dal socialismo, ma così facendo ci appiattiamo sulle basi di un pensiero a senso unico che risulta piuttosto banale e denigratorio nei confronti del socialismo stesso, una delle più ampie ed influenti famiglie politiche della storia umana e che non si riduce al "nemico alle porte brutto e cattivo" che era la Federazione Socialista Rivoluzionaria di Majatra.
Riguardo al Principe... personalmente sono molto fiero delle mie origini, la mia famiglia ha sempre tenuto in gran conto la nostra storia, ma... se mi sento un Principe? Per secoli quel termine è divenuto una mera aggiunta al nostro cognome, solo da pochi decenni infatti in Istalia è stato autorizzato l'uso di titoli nobiliari, dunque... beh... credo proprio che più che dei Principi la mia famiglia si senta più che altro una famiglia di imprenditori come tante in Istalia, tutto qui!

Alessandro Eugenio di Nacosia-Rohan exposes on Grillo: "Istalia must to change and to do it we are the ones we must change first"

ROMULA - Very busy as Minister of Defense, in the last two years di Nacosia-Rohan has had few opportunities to speak to the public and the press, leaving room for what has been called his right arm, the Whip at the Chamber Stefano Romulani, and therefore to the National Secretary who during this last legislature wanted personally to present several important laws, first of all the introduction of corporate contributions and the law on governmental responsibility in the cultural field.
The proposals are clearly in line with the major tendencies within the Party, namely social democratic ones, espression of many elected ones among the ranks of LPs that actually come from the dissolved Progressive Green Party or from the extra-parliamentary leftist movements.
Nevertheless, the number two of the Party could not avoid questioning the leadership of Grillo, making it with this statement released to Nuovi Orizzoni:

The secretary is now acting as a mere spokesperson, with nothing to propose to the Party for which he acts as a mere performer, as between him, a symbol of the old leadership, and the rest of the party has now opened up a real loophole. But indeed, maybe we can also see his attempts to hold the party tied to a political area that we no longer feel about ourselves! The Party has become the collector of claims that have not been in parliament for too long, and that is why it would be useful to land a hand to United Towards Progress, which we see as the only real progressive party in the social but above all economic field. In fact, it is the economy and the role of the state in this end of the century that LP wants to question. First of all, I want to offer something different to the new generations, a different Istalia, not blocked on axioms that are now revealing all their weakness.
Istalia has reached non-indifferent peaks, it is true and undeniable, but for every triumph there is another side of the coin and today what we are facing is just the other side of the coin of a capitalist and globalized economy! We must face the reality of the immigration, we must face the reality of the most disadvantaged neighborhoods, we must face a palpable social immobility and the ever-increasing income gap.
I left Istalian Alternative not only for the drift it experienced under the Nationalists of Padagna but also because I did not find no longer realistic the economic and social paradigm of which AI declared itself to be a champion, like however most of the parties in the last thirty or forty years.
And finally, reality and statistics seem to have justified me and all those who have long begun to denounce the critical features of our socio-economic system, and between these just right Liberty and Progress years ago has already expressed its concerns on similar issues, but the Secretaries who have since succeeded seem to have preferred to ignore the voices coming from their own party.
But now I think it is time to listen to these voices, to listen to the lamentations of the unsatisfied, to those who are the defeated in the pursuit of this tremendous and opulent Istalian prosperity, it is time to guarantee to all the fruits of this great well-being!

In the light of what seems to be a real political program to reform the party from the foundation and in the face of the other statement that shows a di Nacosia-Rohan strongly opposed to the broad liberalism that as mentioned was an Istalian paradigm for the last century, our journalist then wanted to ask to the Minister if many of his party's internal opponents were wrong to call him as a "Socialist Prince":

Should I consider this as an insult? For too long now, any kind of politics which take care of the less fortunate ones is too superficially labeled as a "socialist" and not just in Istalia, but we can see it in many other nations! Are you trying to introduce a public health system? They tell you you're socialist. Do you want to subsidize education and services for the less wealthy and who can not afford it? They tell you you're socialist! Do you want to protect the territory, the environment and the health of citizens? They tell you you're socialist!
Not only does this show extreme ignorance in the political and historical fields, not only the term "socialism" is used improperly for a variety of values, propositions and measures that actually belong to a galaxy of political thoughts too far from socialism but so doing we float on the basis of a one-way thinking that is rather banal and denigratory to socialism itself, one of the wider and influential political families of human history and that it does not reduce to the "the ugly and bad enemy to doors" that was the Majatran Revolutionary Socialist Federation.
Regarding the "Prince"... Personally I am very proud of my origins, my family has always taken great care of our story, but... if I feel a Prince? For centuries this term has become a mere addition to our surname, only few decades ago in Istalia has been authorized the use of noble titles, so... well... I believe that more than "Princes", my family feels more than a family of entrepreneurs like so many in Istalia, that's all!

BREAKING: President Maddaloni Denounces Jelbic Shows of Aggression; Calls for Majatran Unity

With the latest news coming out of central Majatra (particularly the signs of aggression coming out of Jelbania directed towards Deltraia), President of the Istalian Republic Betta Maddaloni (C.C.) made a public statement from the Quattroregni Palace, calling on and end to the hostility and reassuring the Deltarian allies.

President Maddaloni was joined by her prime minister, also of the Capitalist Confederation, Dagoberto Vigilante, when she spoke to an international audience.

Good afternoon. As those in Istalia know, I am the President of the Istalian Repbulic. It is my duty, as head of state, to direct the foreign policy of Istalia and serve as head of diplomacy. I address the world today not for political purposes but to confront an ongoing threat to Majatran unity, and to the Majatran Alliance of which Istalia is a leading member, that has arisen in central Majatra.

Jelbania has recently begun the process of mobilizing its armed forces against a member-state of the Majatran Alliance, Deltaria. The dictatorial and monarchical forces that dominate the Jelbic parliament have recent made the egregious attempt, at the behest of their king, to usurp the title of "Rightful Czar and Autocrat of Deltaria," completely ignoring the fact that Deltaria has a republican form of government.

Istalia, as a global leader in economics and military strength, has an abiding obligation to support nations across Terra that face the threat of oppression imposed from outside a nation's borders. It is with this in mind, and as a leader of the Majatran Alliance, that I heartily condemn the actions taken by the Jelbic autocracy - and urge them to demobilize their forces before Istalia must get involved.

The Majatran Alliance charter states, "The contracting parties pledge to assure reciprocal military cooperation, mutual defense and agree to share military intelligence with each other." With this in mind, and I am willing to commit the Istalian Armed Forces to fight against whatever nation threatens Istalian interests and Majatran interests, including the interest in preserving trade and preserving democratic self-government. Alongside my Prime Minister, the Government of Istalia hereby orders the deployment of the Fortezza, a nuclear aircraft carrier to the Sea of Majatra.

Istalia will not stand by and watch the very alliance we have built crumble. Now is the time for unity - not aggression. I call upon the Jelbanian state to call off all hostilities or face the full force and power of the Istalian Armed Forces. I now turn this over to the President of the Council of Ministers of Istalia, Dagoberto Vigilante, to discuss some actions being taken by various ministries across Istalia.

Vigilante then spoke briefly, saying,

Thank you, President Maddaloni. It is an honor to serve such a competent and skilled President, who certainly has the best interests of Istalians in mind.

I have spoken extensively with Minister of Foreign Affairs Bonanni - who I might add, has been quite busy - and Minister of Defense Alessandro Eugenio di Nacosia-Rohan. Here is the latest update: We have been reaching out to our fellow members of the Majatran Alliance to ensure that we are all on the same page. We had already begun talks of a Majatran military exercise to show our combined capabilities when this crisis emerged, and I believe we will continue to pursue options to counter Jelbic shows of strength.

Make no mistake about it: Istalia is determined to ensure that Deltaria's fate and sovereignty are and will be always in the hand of the Deltarians - not foreign aggressors!

The Istalian government is closely monitoring the situation in central Majatra, and is determined that forthcoming elections and the Padgnan referendum will not interfere with the international responsibilities of the Istalian nation, a senior spokesman told the Corriere.

Di Nacosia-Rohan: "La silidarietà sta ritornando, LP ha preso la giusta strada, l'Istalia vuole un cambiamento!"

ROMULA - A meno di un anno dalle elezioni tre nuovi partiti hanno registrato nome e simbolo nelle liste elettorali del Ministero degli Interni: il Partito Sovrano dell'Opportunità, il Partito Laburista ed il redivivo Partito Aprista.
Tutti e tre hanno fin da subito espresso apprezzamento per molte delle proposte che sono state presentate in parlamento ed alla popolazione durante la campagnia elettorale, proposte in buona parte figlie della ormai incontrastata "Corrente Progressista" di Libertà e Progresso, come si è ufficialmente definita quella che è rmai un'ampia maggioranza, lontana dall'ormai eclissato Segretario Nazionale del Grillo ed unita invece compatta al duo di Nacosia-Rohan/Romulani.
Il Ministro della Difesa durante questi mesi di tensioni internazionali ha avuto davvero poco tempo per dedicarsi alla campagna elettorale, lasciando Romulani alla testa del tour elettorale attraverso le maggiori piazze d'Istalia.
Nonostante ciò le poche dichiarazioni elettorali del numero due di LP stanno mostrando un partito in trasformazione e che probabilmente, come commentato da molti giornalisti, vivrà presto anche un cambiamento definitivo di leadership.
Nuovi Orizzonti, avvicinato il Ministro di Nacosia-Rohan, gli ha chiesto di esprimersi sui nuovi partiti in campo e dunque sulle elezioni e possibili future alleanze:

Non sono affatto stupito di vedere quei nuovi partiti presentarsi proprio ora e con quei programmi. Avevo avvertito che l'Istalia sta cercando il cambiamento e la presenza soprattutto di due nuovi partiti ispirati all'area socialista èuna chiara prova di ciò.
L'Istalia vuole nuovamente uno Stato che sia vicino al cittadino, uno Stato che garantisca giustizia sociale ed opportunità a tutti i cittadini, nessuno escluso.
Chi si sta opponendo a questo cambiamento non fa altro che demonizzare future inefficienze e limitazioni della libertà dei singoli. Ebbene, cosa ha generato il paradigma difeso da tanto tempo? Molti effetti positivi, non possiamo negarlo, soprattutto a livello macroeconomico, ma ha prodotto anche molte ingiustizie e sta rendendo difficile la vita a molti istaliani favorendo una ristretta cerchia che ha accumulato sempre più ricchezza.
È per questo che LP è convinta che lo Stato debba trovare il coraggio di riavvicinarsi ai cittadini per garantire loro in modo equo e solidale tutta una serie di servizi basilari ed universali, nonché tornare a combattere attivamente le sperequazioni economiche e sociali.
Un'Istalia più solidale ed umana è possibile, senza mettere in ballo le assurde paure espresse da alcuni anche in Parlamento sul rischio di una "Repubblica Popolare Istaliana" e di uno sfacello socioeconomico!
E non siamo soli, ve lo assicuro, perché siamo già in fase avanzata di contrattazione con diversi partiti con i quali abbiamo trovato moltissimi punti in comune. Siamo convinti che le prossime elezioni debbano innaugurare un lungo cammino di riforme per traghettarci nel nuovo secolo, un secolo di maggiore equità, maggior giustizia, maggiore benessere per tutti e non solo per pochi.
Ma per farlo dobbiamo avere il coraggio di scardinare i taboo del passato, anche a costo di critiche e di supporto elettorale nel breve termine, perché tutto ciò dobbiamo farlo per i nostri figli, i nostri infaticabili lavoratori, i nostri cittadini ai quali dobbiamo dimostrare che l'Istalia oltre che faro della Democrazia è anche un paese che pensa concretamente al benessere dei cittadini, poichè, la Libertà senza giustizia sociale è una conquista vana! Come disse un noto politico della Prima Repubblica, Sandro Pellini, "non vi è Democrazia senza Giustizia Sociale"

Parole che ben esprimono i programmi di LP propagandati nelle piazze da Romulani che entra invece ampiamente nei dettagli, programmi e riforme che da almeno 40 anni, come sottolineato, erano un vero e proprio taboo: servizio sanitario pubblico, servizi pubblici per l'infanzia, lo Stato che torna ad offrire educazione di alta qualità, un welfare più importante, uno Stato che pensa alla collettività ed alla società piuttosto che soltanto ai singoli e dunque maggiore redistribuzione dei redditi tramite il fisco.
Nuovi Orizzonti dunque ha chiesto a di Nacosia-Rohan di esprimersi sulla Presidenza, un argomento diven uno spinoso e che ha incrementato lo scontro tra del Grillo ed il numero due, con il primo che spinge per sostenere la Presidentessa Maddaloni per un altro mandato ed il secondo che invece vorrebbe un candidato LP:

La Presidentessa Maddaloni ha fatto un ottimo lavoro, si è distinta come una delle più autorevoli figure di questo fine secolo sia in Patria che all'Estero, ma credo che l'Istalia non abbia necessariamente bisogno di un'altra Presidenza della Maddaloni, Libertà e Progresso non ne ha bisogno! Lo strappo con la Padagna è stato ricucito e sul fronte internazionale un cambiamento alla Presidenza non muterà la nostra risolutezza e la forte unità politica su questo campo. Dunque, sono convinto che se l'Istalia esprimerà alle elezioni tutto il suo malcontento, come mi auguro, un futuro governo per portare avanti tali riforme avrà bisogno di un Presidente al suo fianco con il quale cooperare senza contrasti e che lavori attivamente per implementare le riforme!

Ovviamente il nostro giornalista non ha potuto non chiudere l'intervista con un'ovvia domanda: sarà Alessandro Eugenio di Nacosia-Rohan a presentarsi per ricoprire questa importante posizione di leadership?

Stiamo ancora discutendo all'interno del Partito, ma non mi tirerei di certo indietro, assicurando la massima risolutezza istaliana in politica estera, la promessa di lavorare sull'autonomia padagnola in caso di vittoria del si al referendum, come anche un constante impegno con il governo se l'Istalia chiedesse questo!

Dovremo quindi aspettare qncora per sapere se LP sceglierà di presentare un candidato alla Presidenza e soprattutto se quel candidato sarà proprio di Nacosia-Rohan.

Di Nacosia-Rohan: "The solidarity is coming back, LP has taken the right path, Istalia wants a change!"

ROMULA - Less than a year for the election, three new parties signed their name and symbole in the Ministry of Interior's electoral lists: the Sovereign Opportunity Party, the Labor Party, and the Aprista Party.
All three have largely expressed appreciation for many of the proposals that have been submitted to parliament and to the people during the election campaign, proposals coming from the now uncontested "Progressive Current" of Liberty and Progress, the name officially used by this large majority, very distant from the even more silent National Secretary del Grillo and united instead compact behind the duo di Nacosia-Rohan/Romulani.
The Minister of Defense during these months of international tensions had little time to engage in the election campaign, leaving Romulani at the head of the electoral tour through the major Istalia squares.
Despite this, the few election statements of the number two of LPs are showing a party in transformation and probably, as commented by many journalists, will soon also have a definitive change of leadership.
Nuovi Orizzonti, approached the Minister di Nacosia-Rohan, asked him to express himself on the new parties in the field and therefore on the elections and possible future alliances:

I'm not really surprised to see those new parties present themselves right now and with those programs. I warned that Istalia is looking for change and the presence of two new parties inspired by the socialist area is a clear proof of that.
Istalia again wants a state that is close to the citizen, a state that guarantees social justice and opportunities for all citizens, no one excluded.
Those who are opposing to this change are nothing but merely demonize future inefficiencies and limitations of individual freedom. Well, what did the paradigm they defended for so long? It had positive effects, we can not deny it, especially at a macroeconomic level, but it has also produced many injustices and is making life difficult for many Istalians by favoring a narrow circle of people that has accumulated more and more wealth.
That is why LP is convinced that the state must find the courage to get closer to the citizens in order to provide them with fairly and solidarity a whole range of basic and universal services and to return to actively combat economic and social disparities.
A more solidal and humanist Istalia is possible without the coming of the absurd fears expressed by some about the risk of a "People's Republic of Istala" and a socioeconomic shortage!
And we are not alone, I assure you about it, because we are already in the an advanced talking phase with several parties with whom we have found many points in common. We are convinced that the upcoming elections will have to launch a long path of reforms to brijg them into the new century, a century of greater equity, greater justice, greater prosperity for everyone, and not just for a few.
But to do this we must have the courage to scare away the taboos of the past, also at the expense of criticism and short-term electoral support, because we have to do this for our children, our tireless workers, our citizens to whom we must prove that Istalia as well as the beacon of Democracy is also a country that thinks concretely about the well-being of citizens, as Liberty without Social Justice is a vain achievement! As a well-known politician of the First Republic, Sandro Pellini, said: "There is no Democracy Without Social Justice"

Words that well express the LP programs presented in the squares by Romulani, which goes in broadly into the details, programs and reforms that for at least 40 years, as underlined, were a real taboo: public health service, public services for the childhood, the state that returns to offer high quality education, a more important welfare, a state that take care of the collectivity and the society rather than just of the individuals and hence more income redistribution through the tax system.
Nuovi Orizzonti therefore asked to di Nacosia-Rohan to express himself on the presidency, a topic that became thorny and increased the clash between del Grillo and his number two, with the former pushing to support President Maddaloni for another term and the latter supporting an LP candidate:

President Maddaloni has done a great job, has distinguished itself as one of the most authoritative figures of this end of the century both in the country and abroad, but I believe that Istalia does not necessarily need another Presidency of Maddaloni, Liberty and Progress does not need it! The tearing with Padagna has been overwhelmed and on the international front a change to the Presidency will not change our resolutness and the strong political unity on this field. Therefore, I am convinced that if Istalia will express at the elections all its discontent, as I hope, a future government to pursue such reforms will need a president alongside him to cooperate without any controversy and to work actively to implement the reforms!

Obviously our reporter could not avoid to close the interview with an abvious question: will Alessandro Eugenio di Nacosia-Rohan propose himself to cover this important leadership position?

We are still discussing within the Party, but I wouldn't shy away, assuring the utmost Istalian resolutness in foreign policy, the promjsse to work on the padagnan autonomy in case of passage of the referendum, as well as a constant commitment with the government if Istalia asked for this!

So we have still to wait for the answer to whether LP will choose to present a candidate to the Presidency and especially if that candidate will be di Nacosia-Rohan.

Grzkai XVI ed il suo breve ma intenso regno ormai sono pronti a passare alla storia, probabilmente sarà giusto ricordato come uno dei tanti Khan assetati di sangue come vuole la triste tradizione Jelbaniana, ma entrerà sicuramente anche nella storia di Internet.
Al centro dell'ilarità generale la pittoresca fine del sovrano Jelbaniano, in pieno stile Grzkai come hanno commentato molti data la sua tenuta come Khan di Jelbania, un regno che ha visto anche le poche conquiste sociali del regime comunista venir soppiantate dalla ceca ed anacronistica tradizione, continui attriti internazionali anche con gli alleati per i capricci del sovrano ed un trono caduto sotto il controllo di signori della guerra stranieri, come il potente suocero di Grzkai.
Dunque non di certo un sovranno illuminato e tanto meno acuto! Già quando in vita le stravaganze di Grzkai avevano animato il web del mondo libero, la morte infine lo ha definitivamente lanciato nell'olimpo del Web, grazie all'esplosione di meme che stanno riempendo i social networks dove sono stati condivisi milioni di volte ormai già da diversi giorni, una diffusione virale attraverso computer e smartphone che infine è divenuto argomento di dibattito in Istalia, dove si pensa i primi meme abbiano cominciato a circolare.
Infatti questo fenomeno ha generato un certo risentimento tra gli elementi più conservatori di origine Jelbica, soprattutto Jelbaniani e Barmeniani, che si dividono tra chi ha trovato sconveniente la diffusione di cose del genere su una persona morta (dato il forte rispetto per la morte della tradizione Jelbica e dunque per la morte in battaglia di un guerriero) mentre altri si sono invece lamentati di possibili ripercussioni ed ulteriore compromissione dei rapporti tra Jelbania e l'Istalia.

Il Ministero degli Interni è stato interpellato da diversi giornalisti sulla vicenda finché proprio stamattina non ha rilasciato questo breve comunicato:

Il Governo Istaliano ed in particolare il Ministero degli Interni non ha alcuna base giuridica alla quale appellarsi per una qualsiasi azione atta a limitare la diffusione di simile materiale sul web, come non l'ha chi ci ha scritto chiedendoci di intervenire. Tanto meno il Ministero dell'Interno e le Forze di Sicurezza della Repubblica sono disposte a gettare ingenti risorse rivolte ad una censura di massa online per limitare quelle che sono state giudicate come delle vignette umoristiche.
Il Governo Istaliano vuole comunque dissociarsi da qualsiasi lettura di carattere etnico o razziale di simile materiale o che inciti all'odio tra popoli e nazioni.

Grzkai XVI and his brief but intense kingdom are now ready to enter into the history, probably to be barely remembered as one of the many bloodthirsty Khans tipically of the sad Jelbanian tradition, but he will surely enter the history of Internet too.
At the center of the general hilarity there is the picturesque end of the Jelbanian sovereign, in perfect "Grzkai style" as many commented on his tenure as Khan of Jelbania, a kingdom that saw also the few social achievements of the communist regime to be supplanted by blind and anachronistic tradition, the continual international tensions also with the allies due to the whims of the Sovereign and a throne falling under the control of foreign warlords, as the powerful father-in-law of Grzkai.
So, certainly not an illuminated ruler and even less an acute sovereign! Yet when alive, Grzkai's extravagances animated the web of the free world, his death, finally, definitively rocketed him in the Olympus of the Web, thanks to the blow in the spread of memes that are filling the social networks where they have already been shared millions of times for several days, a viral spread through computers and smartphones that eventually became a topic of debate in Istalia, where it seems the first memes have begun to circulate.
In fact, this phenomenon has created some resentment among the most conservative elements of Jelbek origins, especially Jelbanian and Barmenian ones, who are divided among those who find as inappropriate to spread such things on a dead person (given the strong respect for the dead and therefore for the death in the battle of a warrior according the Jelbek tradition) while others have complained of possible repercussions and further deterioration of the relations between Jelbania and Istalia.

The Ministry of the Interior has been contacted by several journalists to talk on the matter as long as this morning it released this brief statement:

The Istalian Government and, in particular, the Ministry of the Interior has no legal basis to appeal for any action to limit the dissemination of such material on the web as well the persons who wrote us asking to intervene. Not even so the Ministry of Interior and the Security Forces of the Republic are willing to throw out massive resources for online mass censorship to limit what has been judged to be a humorous cartoons.
The Istalian Government, however, wants to dissociate itself from any kind of ethnic or racial reading of this material or that incites hatred between peoples and nations.
