Filippo Sartori brings together the anti-fascist parties: the Coalition for the Democratic Cooperation is born
Image

Romula, 28 November 4560

Following intense dialogues carried out since the beginning of October, the Minister of the Interior and Secretary of the newly founded Guard of Democracy party, Filippo Sartori, brought together all the pro-democratic parties admitted to compete for the looming elections of February under a single electoral list.

The Minister of the Interior, and right-hand man of General Appiano De Borromei, was immediately one of the most aggressive critics of the Nationalist Workers Party and to oppose the fascist movement he launched already in August a heartfelt appeal to all forces in favor of the nascent Istalian Militant Democracy to create a common front and come together under a single symbol ready to support the current Head of State and therefore to defend the Nation from what he has defined as a very serious and concrete threat from an unacceptable ideology, totally in antithesis with the noble democratic principles of the Istalian People.

Despite the law enforcement forces, following the legal provisions concerning the defense of the democratic order, closed several sections of the NWP, seized electoral material and prevented the holding of rallies in the squares, the PNW, constantly remaining on the line that it separates legality and illegality and by exploiting the judicial guarantee in force in Istalia, it nevertheless managed to continue its propaganda, especially through social networks, managing to bring numerous supporters into the streets and, as already mentioned, becoming itself a compact united front for all those political forces excluded from the electoral round.

Several detractors of the Head of State and of what they call "the Amber Regime" declared that, despite the Government's triumphant proclamations, the opposition would be much broader than touted and that the move by the Minister of Interior to gather the the rest of the parties admitted to the elections against the NWP would be the demonstration that the "regime" is aware of the existence of a greater dissent than what they want to make believe and that it is the umpteenth demonstration of the control mania and the autocratic ambitions of General Appiano De Borromei and his minions.

The latest polls, however, still report a wide advantage for all the parties supporting the Government today, with Glory and Rebirth as front-runner followed by the Social Democratic Alliance of Istalia, New Liberals, the Majatran Movement, Guard of Democracy and the Freedom Alliance (fromed by Glory and Freedom and the Libertarian Party). But the electoral activity of the NWP is getting more and more pounding but above all, he abandoned the most ideological positions in favor of a propaganda aimed more at discrediting the current government and its work, with the leader of the NWP, Federico Masserini, which proposes itself as a valid alternative against liberalism and the capitalist positions of Glory and Rebirth, suggesting, in fact, that in reality the coup d'etat of two years before was only a false-flag operation organized by the same Head of State to ensure the support of the working classes, an accusation that Admiral Sartori strongly rejected and criticized.

On the issue, however, the Head of State did not express himself and indeed since the announcement of the elections he left to the party and Sartori the burden of leading the electoral campaign. Unconfirmed rumors that are going on just in the last hours would see in this behavior the fact that General Appiano De Borromei already two years ago had decided not to run again to the leadership of the State and that only the insistence of Sartori and the fascist threat would have convinced him to stand again. The NWP has also raised doubts about these rumors, asserting that these are pre-packaged and intentionally leaked news to "sanctify" even more the General Appiano De Borromei. On the web, on the other hand, the NWP has massively exploited fake news and distorted news to attract consensus, a smear campaign, as defined by the democratic opposition, which accuses the amber leadership of not wanting to defend the nation but sell it to international capitalism and globalization.

By now close to the elections, however, the electoral silence is about to take effect and only the ballot boxes at this point can tell us what the future of the country will be.

Elections 4561: the "Militant Democracy" wins and Michele Appiano De Borromei is confirmed as Leader of the Country
Image
Michele Appiano De Borromei celebrates with his wife

Romula, 18 February 4561

After an endless night, finally the counting of votes gave its result, the Nation expressed itself: with over 55% of the popular vote in favor the Coalition for the Democratic Cooperation imposed itself on the candidates and the lists linked to the Nationalist Workers Party winning 353 of the 635 seats of the new National Congress, while General Michele Appiano De Borromei was reconfirmed as Head of State in the face of the defeated NWP leader, Federico Masserini.

Despite the "electoral battleship", despite the smear campaign against the outgoing Government, despite the many fake news and the constant distortion of the news, despite finally the ploys exploited by the NWP to be able to run its candidates and its lists in the elections, the fascist movement that emerged in the last year failed to attract enough votes to defeat the democratic coalition, even channeling protest and dissent votes for the outgoing administration.
Admiral Filippo Sartori's strategy has borne fruit despite the many detractors and General Appiano De Borromei can continue to lead the nation through the golden path that Glory and Rebirth and its leader indicated to the country.

The composition of the new National Congress sees the Coalition for the Democratic Cooperation, as mentioned, earn 353 seats (55.59%) distributed as follows:
- 123 Glory and Rebirth (34.8%)
- 102 Social Democratic Alliance of Istalia (28.6%)
- 78 New Liberals (22.1%)
- 27 Istalian Majatran Movement (7.6%)
- 13 Alliance of Freedom (3.5%)
- 12 Guard of Democracy (3.4%)

While the lists "informally" linked to the National Workers Party in total gained 282 seats (44.41%). A distribution of the votes for the moment is rather difficult to do given that the party had managed to present hundreds of lists across the national territory, but in general, according to the polls, around 60% of the votes came from supporters of the far right, about 20% is attributable to protest votes while the remaining 20% comes from supporters of the far left.

The celebrations went on all night in the various seats of the Coalition parties, in the streets and squares of the country, with orange, red and yellow flags and festoons that accompanied the celebrations, but the result can be and must be interpreted in another way: the votes collected by the NWP were many more than those provided by the polls and the gap, especially for the race for the highest office of the State, was really small, with Masserini who managed to collect 49.55% of the preferences.

However, General Michele Appiano De Borromei does not seem to worry too much and indeed, after the celebrations, he immediately wanted to speak to the nation, first of all to thank the Istalians for the trust they given to him once again and therefore to assure them that he will continue to work with the same determination, seriousness and tenacity that characterized his previous mandate, closing the speech with these words:

I am proud of being Istalian! I am proud of you Istalia! Once again, together, we have demonstrated that here fascism like all the other ideologies of hatred and discrimination has no space and never will have! Long live Democracy! Long live in Istalia!

Boom of industrial production while the electoral victory of the Coalition injected confidence and stability into financial markets
Image

19 July 4561

The National Statistics Office is confirming what Federindustria, the national association of entrepreneurs, said about the growth of industrial production in Istalia: an excellent +5.8% this quarter in the wake of at least four years of constant growth.
Supporting industrial and manufacturing production is above all domestic demand and therefore a renewed propensity to consume by the Istalian families while exports are also showing a good trend.
As far as the internal market is concerned, an excellent performance is being tested by the automotive industry, with such sales peaks that have not been seen for decades, while as far as exports are concerned, it is above all the agri-food products and certainly at the top of the rankings there are farmers and ranchers of the south of Alaria, who have met a growing demand especially for dairy products, wine and therefore the beer in whose sector the leader is becoming Vriscu, a family-run business that started production only at beginning of this century and today it is rapidly expanding.

Image
Some of the currently most requested istalian agri-food excellences to be exported

But also in the heavy and high-tech industry we are preparing for a new boom and among the most important next investments there are the ones of leading istalian aerline company: the shareholders of InstalAir, for decades in serious crisis, have found an agreement for an important recapitalization, driven by the purchase and incorporation of the bankrupt Aerolinee Istaliane by part of Nuovo Trasporto Istaliano (already the largest railway company in the country) and now the company is about to finalize an agreement with Ajace Aeronautics for the purchase of 121 new aircraft, of which 22 will be models designed together with IstalAir to meet the company's needs, while IstalAir's low-cost subsidiary, Majair, is evaluating the new Ajace's medium-long range airliner, the AMX-520, to completely renew its fleet of 358 aircraft, now formed by old AMJ-200 and A50-100, and it seems that the deal is to be concluded.

Image
Rendering of the new Ajace's AMX-520

But the investments, internal as well as from abroad, were the ones which showed the best performances, with an increase in the aftermath of the elections of over 11% following the +8.5% peak after the agreement reached between Istalia and Solentia on the demolition of the border fortifications. Moreover, just talking about this last topic, with the lightening of control procedures at border checkpoints, commercial land traffic is experiencing now a constant growth.
Moreover, speaking of transport to and from Istalia, the Head of State, about a month ago, mentioned the possibility of resuming negotiations with Solentia for the creation not of just one but even two tunnels that will cross the Nayar and the northern ends of the Akhayl, one for rail traffic, which should be the one that will cross the Nayar to reach the north and east of Solentia, and one road instead to reach the southwest of Solentia. These works will be flanked by the reconstruction of the Motorway of the Sea to the north (which enters Solentia passing along the coast of the Sea of Lost Souls), and therefore the one which crosses the pass of the Sarrentina Valley (which divides the Great Akhayls in the south-west from the Nayar in the north-east). The new treaty which has been under negotiation with Solentia, continued the Head of State, will be the driving force of this and many other cooperations with our neighbors.

Image
The abandoned site of the service tunnel for the Istalian-Solentian connection under the Nayar which works started more than a century ago but never finished due to the rising of the fascist regime and the disengagement of Istalia from any cooperation with that Government

The Head of State furthermore, this happened only a week ago during a visit to the Naval Base of Triesta, declared that soon the State will proceed to the reprivatisation of the Great Integrated Shipyards of Triesta and of the rest of the defensive sector that has experienced prolonged periods of under funding and of latency of contracts with consequences degradation of technological capabilities. If the Great Integrated Shipyards will return into the hands of the Magistro-Leonardi (strongly affected by the nationalizations of the beginning of the century but ready to start again with great new investments in Istalia, from where it had temporarily moved away in favor of its headquarters in Zardugal), the OTO Al- Mehara Armamenti will not return into the hands of Leonardi, which for the moment it would not be able to carry out both operations. The intentions of the Head of State, however, have already been clarified: the Istalian Armed Forces have been considerably strengthened by the last major renewal program, but following the severe crisis of past decades, the Defense has also suffered, above all from the point in view of the maintenance, and the numerous ships at the base of the Triesta Base have demonstrated it. A paradoxical situation despite the defense budget has constantly absorbed a lot of resources als during the Great Crisis, and for this reason, suspecting waste and not only, General Appiano De Borromei is determined to start an internal investigation to have a clearer global situation so as to be able to start a program to rationalize and update defense capabilities and, possibly, track down those responsible for such mismanagement.

The Head of State visits an important scientific laboratory: "immediately huge resources for research that will change our future!"
Meanwhile the first clashes in the Congress with the NWP pushes General Appiano De Borromei to comment: "They expect to have the freedom to discriminate and persecute! Never with me at the helm of the country!"
Image
General Appiano De Borromei welcomed by the scientists of Roccaghiaccia

Romula, 3 August 4561

The Head of State was visiting the Nuclear Research Laboratory of Roccaghiaccia, in the province of Angona and more precisely under the peaks of the Akhayl, and to do so he had to go down for over seven hundred meters in the heart of Mount Cervo (3.199 m), not distant from Monte Tonante, the highest peak of Istalia.
In the Laboratory for years the National Research Council has been conducting very important research and experiments in nuclear and particles physics, thanks to which we have been able to contribute to global physics as well as to the technical progress of the country.

Coming out of the laboratory, General Appiano De Borromei met with journalists in the surface installation, not far from the small but characteristic medieval village of Roccaghiaccia, to which he responded by talking about research in the country:

Research and Education, these are precisely the sectors in which a country must spend, spend and still spend! A country that invests in research and education, is a country that can offer innovation, training and therefore work for its citizens who can thus really have all the possibilities to be able to realize themselves by contributing equally to the enrichment of the whole society. We must give a precise sign to our citizens, because it also passes from here the overcoming of the concept of the nanny state which is an end in itself and which has no concrete benefits whatsoever. The state must protect citizens from illness and poverty... I agree, but we must work to remove those obstacles that prevent a person from having a full and dignified life instead of throwing money without adress and solve the issues at the origins of degradation and poverty.
And with regards to scientific research, we in Istalia are fortunate to have this research centers like so many other research that are or have been excellences and we will have to assure that such structures will be able to continue to research and offer us new breakthrough, but to do so it is here that public efforts must concentrate. I talked for at least two hours with the scientists working in this structure, they are enthusiastic, prepared, brilliant and it is our duty to give them the adequate resources to be able to give us more and more discoveries and innovation.
This is why I am planning a Council of Ministers during which we will discuss important funds to be dedicated to research and specifically I want the Government to meet the business world and therefore that our National Research Council will interface with equivalent authorities from other countries to be able to launch an ambitious scientific research project on the Nuclear Fusion. There is so much to do, probably only our children or even their children can begin to reap the benefits of such a commitment, but it is for them that we must start today!

However, before taking leave of the journalists, the Head of State was also questioned about the recent debates held in the new National Congress which saw the majority attacked by the leader of the Nationalist Workers Party, Federico Masserini, during the voting procedures on the Amendment of the law on the Measures for the Security of the State and of the Institutions. Masserini has used harsh words against the law saying that "When someone outside the establishment challenges their power, when they feel the tide is against them, and the people no longer want them, then you quickly see how little they, the political establishment, believe in so called democracy, criticizing the iron fist adopted by the Amber Government against anti-democratic and discriminatory ideologies and movements towards this or that minority or social, religious, ethnic or political group.
The leader of the Social Democratic section of the Government's majority, Caterina Valenti, responded to the Nationalist leader reiterating the words of the Head of State on the unacceptability of the possibility that Democracy will kill itself and passionately defending the law, but also General Appiano De Borromei wanted to comment on journalists on the incident:

When it is their turn to suppress rights and freedoms for others, for those who do not live like they would like according to their unilateral vision of the world, then they are the first to appeal to freedom of speech and expression! As the Honorable Valenti has already said, the measures that we are adopting serve to protect and really protect the rights of ALL our citizens regardless of their ethnicity, religion or sexual orientation, since we defend them from those who, once in power, they wouldn't think twice about hitting them and discriminating them! Democracy cannot tolerate intolerance and those who profess intolerance and racism clearly cannot contribute in any way to Democracy and above all cannot exploit the freedoms and rights guaranteed by it to bend them meanly to their anti-democratic and racist purposes. They talk about attacking their rights when they were the first to propose openly discriminatory measures against minorities and specific sexual orientations! They pretend to discriminate and persecute and pretend also that we remain looking on in silence. But to the Istalians I say and assure: Never with me at the helm of the country!

Guard of Democracy takes to the streets to celebrate the rise to power of Michele Appiano De Borromei
Image
One of the events with the greatest participation, held in Romula, which managed to organize Guard of Democracy (which as party color adopted a darker amber nuance, almost orange)

18 February 4562

Comitia, concerts, parades and even more in the streets of the major cities of Istalia: in this way Guard of Democracy, the party led by the Minister of the Interior, Admiral Filippo Sartori, part of the Coalition for the Democratic Cooperation, wanted this year to celebrate for the first time the anniversary of the first election as Head of State of General Michele Appiano De Borromei, the 18 February 4555.

The most loyal to the Head of State, the members of Guard of Democracy had already announced the event last October, immediately putting themselves to work to raise funds, organize events and above all receive the necessary authorizations from the local authorities. The celebrations, in fact, have been organized exclusively privately, without any intervention by the national authorities and institutions, but it seems that many citizens have enthusiastically welcomed the appeal of Admiral Sartori, both through donations and by lending himself to help in the organization.

If in the cities and regions led by members of the Coalition for the Democratic Cooperation (of which the party of Sartori is a part) Guard of Democracy has had no problems and indeed, has received the support and often the patronage of the local authorities, has had to struggle much more where the various exponents and lists linked to the Nationalist Workers Party are at the head of municipalities and local authorities. The popular support received from the initiative and the achievement of various compromises, however, finally forced also the firmest opponents to give up and the event could really become a celebration at national level.

At the National Congress, Guard of Democracy group announced that it will shortly present a Resolution to name the new National Library of Romula to General Michele Appiano De Borromei, while in many Municipalities many motions have been presented to name streets and squares for the Head of State as well as for the construction of monuments in its name.

It was from the time of the Beloved President Alessandro Senna that no such manifestations of reverence and emotion were seen for a head of state, but on the other hand, many see Appiano De Borromei following in the footsteps of the illustrious predecessor for his commitment and tenacity in doing raise the head of the country and move it towards a future of glory and prosperity, just like Senna did, who was the real architect who allowed Istalia to inaugurate what is unanimously recognized as the most prosperous and great period that the country has ever known.

The Government does not seem to have exposed itself so much on the event, indeed showing itself determined to remain distant from celebrations that, it remarked once again, are purely private, as underlined several times also by the rest of the members of the majority (although many parliamentarians have joined to the celebrations not in their official role).
From Quattroregni Palace, the Head of State, has instead released a brief statement, with which he said he was surprised and above all moved by this popular participation and that seeing all this can do nothing but reinforce his determination, push him to always give the maximum and continue to work to ensure the country's future of prosperity, peace, grandeur and democracy.

Tensions within the majority for the Reform of Welfare Services: the Social Democrats make the Government tremble
Image

10 August 4562

The Ministry of Health and Social Services Leandro Caterini presented at the National Congress the Reform of the Welfare Services and the official debates have already begun during the procedures of vote: tempers started to flare among the parliamentarians of the majority reflecting the tensions that there have been also into the Government during the meetings of the Council of Ministers during which the reform was discussed.

Within the Coalition for the Democratic Cooperation the members of the Social Democratic Alliance of Istalia were the ones to clash with the other allies, obstructing and thus blocking in the Council all the proposals so far presented by Minister Caterini, member of the New Liberals, who finally was forced to review the entire reform. It seems that the Head of State has summoned him in recent days together with the leader of the Social Democratic Alliance, the Honorable Carterina Valenti, so that an agreement could be found.
The Social Democrats, in fact, have used rather harsh tones in the last months towards the allies of the Coalition, coming to threaten to slip out of it and therefore to deny the 102 votes necessary to guarantee a majority to the Government.
However, contemptuous tones were also used by the allies in favor of the reform, especially by the New Liberals totally in support of their Minister, who in turn arrived to threaten the Head of State to bring down the Government, being also, with 78 seats, needed by the majority for to remain so, if the reform had not been successful or if too many concessions would have been granted to the Social Democrats.

The decline in the political activity of the Nationalist Workers Party seems to be lessening the cohesion that had pushed the parties of the Coalition to ally and now, faced with the economic issues, on which there are obviously the greatest differences, the unity seems to start to falter. The Head of State for the entire month of July has been busy mediating between the parties, between concessions and iron arms, but finally the Government seems to have succeeded in reaching an agreement: if the welfare payments for families have been maintained for the low income, and not just for the poor, and measures to support unemployment have not been diminished as the Liberals demanded, the latter have managed to make accept to the Social Democrats both the reform of the Strike Law, which will provide that certain categories of workers regarded as critical to society have to ensure a minimal service, as well as a further lowering of the Corporation Tax, on which however the Government will begin to work on it after the mid-winter break.
Despite this, the bad moods do not seem to have been totally removed but only postponed, given that the Social Democrats would seem ready to request both a lowering of the Sale Tax on essential goods and an increase of that on luxury goods.

For the moment, however, the reform seems to be supported by the whole majority and with the reforms the establishment of the National Authority for Employment and Formation (ENIF) will also come, designed with the intention of assisting the unemployed to re-enter the world of work, promoting the integration of young people, offering training and further improvement to workers and assisting companies in training employees, coordinating cooperation between the world of work, schools and universities and thus assisting workers even when moving away from them residence, also supporting them financially for the necessary relocation period.
Minister Caterini presented the reform giving a great emphasis on the role that the State must play towards citizens and workers, criticizing the idea of a paternalistic state that does not spur citizens but makes them totally dependent. These are his words about the role of the State:

The State must promote work and employement, create the conditions so that our citizens can professionally be satisfied and contribute materially and spiritually for the good of the whole community [...] it must review its welfare policies, in order to guarantee more resources for formation, education and to stimulate employment and not continuing to discourage personal commitment by promoting a welfarism that drives our citizens to wait for opportunities to rain from the sky, demanding a paternalistic state that pampers them forever and that does not promote self-improvement, self-enrichment and the improvement of the whole society.

Among the interventions in support of the Minister, quite impressive it was the one of the Congressman Mamdouh Al-Saydy, from the group of Glory and Rebirth, who summed up the meaning of the reform in a few words:

"We should measure welfare's success by how many leave welfare, not by how many are added!"

Constitutional Court dissolves the NWP: declassified files reveal disturbing truth

The Nationalist Workers Party was officially dissolved today following the resolution issued by the Constitutional Court with which its intrinsic fascist nature was definitively recognized and condemned.

Despite the numerous legal findings used by the WNP to present and elect its candidates, finally, after long debates and reflections, Palace of the Guilds (seat of the Constitutional Court) has put an end to "an ideologically dangerous political experience that could potentially damage the democratic structure of the state" .

But it was not just ideology that pushed the Court to make the decision, but also the presentation by the police and the secret services of the results of lengthy investigations that led Romula's Judiciary to request instead arrest for many exponents, including Federico Masserini, leader of the NWP, discovered to conspire against the Chief of State General Appiano De Borromei who, as the founder of what is called the New Istalian State and its Militant Democracy, was seen as the real obstacle to the fascists to take power.

Public opinion was really shaken by the latest revelations and the popular reaction was remarkable, with demonstrations in the main centers of the country ruled by members of the NWP who asked for their resignation and many others in support of the Head of State and with massive demands of recandidature for General Appiano De Borromei, felt like a true Guardianship of the Nation and who moves thus down a path towards another long term at the helm of the Country.

General Appiano De Borromei still Head of State: "We have defeated fascism!"

The last elections have just passed and General Michele Appiano De Borromei is still firmly in charge of the country with the Coalition for the Democratic Cooperation that has monopolized the National Congress.

For the Head of State and for the Nation the elections were held in a climate of calm and security, obviously due to the dissolution of the Nationalist Workers Party and the arrest of its main exponents. The participation remained however low, something due however to two distinct causes: informal confirmation of the good work of the Government and of course the legislation on the right to vote: the rules of the so-called "voting license" were tightened because of the fascists elected during the last legislature, which has seen many citizens excluded.

The Head of State stressed once again that a Democracy to function must have informed and sensitized citizens and therefore voters and to promote such virtuosity among citizenship, the voting license, accessible following the passage of a test, was an obligatory choice which, however, the Head of State has always said, will not remain in force indefinitely.
However, General Appiano De Borromei focused on the events that involved the NWP and on the re-confirmation of trust by the population:

Once again I'm here saying to be proud to be Istalian. You, Istalia, once again confirmed me your confidence and I assure you that I will continue to work for 1000 years of glory and prosperity! But once again I find me to declare to be proud of your my fellow istalians because together we defeated another menace, probably the greatest for our Democracy! We have defeated the fascism!
Thank you, this is a victory for all the Country!

The Head of the State starts work on the Istalian-Solentian tunnels: "one of the largest infrastructure projects ever seen on the world for a new era of Peace and Prosperity!"
Meanwhile, in the northern cities, Guard of Democracy has led demonstrations in honor of the Head of State who have met with great popular participation
Image
The Istalian Tunnel boring machine ("Mole") that will excavate more than half of the 15.8 km long Rail Tunnel of the Emir's Pass

24 April 4568

LICINO VALLEY - The Head of the State General Michele Appiano De Borromei this morning started the excavation operations on the site of the Tunnel of the Emir's Pass, starting the mechanical cutter that will dig over the next three and a half years 7.7 km of rock through the Nayar Mountains up to the meeting of the tunnel dug by the cutter of the construction site on the Solentian side. Surrounded by the workers and project managers, as well as by the Solentian Ambassador and by managers of the solentian construction site, the Head of State expressed himself on the work:

Today we started the excavation of the first of the three tunnels that will cross the Nayar and the Great Akhayl, the great natural barriers that for eons have separated Solentia from Istalia. Although our two nations have long lived side by side, they have never before managed to agree to "subjugate" the mountains, digging them and thus breaking down the barriers between our two peoples.
Today, however, after centuries of approaches and departures, periods of cooperation and ferocious disputes, our fathers can smile, since our two nations have finally tightened their hands and decided to become as close as they have ever been.
Goods and people in a few years, less than twenty, will be able to move through our two countries as fast as ever! Extremely fast high-speed trains will carry passengers from Milona to Halios in less than 5 hours, immeasurable freight trains now unable to pass the mountain passes, forced by the weight to long journeys to the two coasts, will be able to reduce travel times between Istalia, Solentia and the rest of the continent.
Istalia and Solentia will benefit enormously from these works, Solentia will be a strategic hub for continental trade, a meeting of four nations, of the western continent, of Kafuristan and the Islands, and of a very strong recovering Istalia that soon, thanks to this, will be able to go back to the peaks of world markets.
Our two peoples will be driven to cooperate and further develop their relations in the sign of peaceful coexistence and a close and cooperative economic development.
We are starting one of the largest infrastructure projects ever seen on the world for a new era of Peace and Prosperity! Long live the friendship between Istalia and Solentia!

As mentioned by the Head of State, the expected duration of the excavation works of the Rail Tunnel of the Emir's Pass will be 7 years, while for the completion and the inauguration will have to wait another 5 years.
In seven months, instead, the construction site of the Sarrentina Vallery's Motorway Tunnel will be opened, which will pass below the historic Sarrentian Pass, whose excavation will begin within two years.
Finally, in less than five years work will begin on the excavation of the Three Glacier's Rail Tunnel, under the Northern Massif, which will be completed in about twenty years.
For several years, both Istalia and Solentia had arranged for the financing and start-up of construction sites, a prelude to the arrival of ratification of the Treaty in both countries, a goal achieved through various difficulties and delays, especially in Istalia where the Nationalist Workers Party practiced ostracism by abstaining from ratifying the Treaty four times.

According to the leading experts and analysts, the medium and long-term benefits have been described as extremely high and diversified for Istalia, obviously in the field of international trade with the possibility of quadrupling the flow of goods traded, greatly reducing travel times; the creation of hundreds of thousands of jobs in the next quarter of a century and the creation of a technical-industrial induced strong impact that will involve thousands of companies and companies; the decrease in road traffic through mountain passes with benefits for the environment and mountain ecosystems, with many areas that can be freed from significant road flows, with the benefit of local populations as well as many tourists in search of pristine landscapes and environments and enjoyable.

Meanwhile, representatives of Guard of Democracy have today paraded through the streets of Bunogna, Turrino and Milona, the major northern towns and closest to Solentia, declaiming praises for General Appiano De Borromei and for the great result achieved by the country, almost brought back to the dissolution of the fascist movement as a restart of the path to great prosperity after passing a great trial.
With almost messianic words Salvatore Burrioni, Guard of Democracy's member of the Legislative Assembly of Trivendito, in Milona praised the work of the Head of State, of whom he spoke:

After 13 years at the head of the country, leading an economic renaissance as well as cultural and social as we had not seen for centuries, resisting a military coup, terrorism and an attempted fascist uprising, strengthening, for some even refounding the idea itself of Democracy in the country, General Michele Appiano De Borromei has become an inseparable figure from the State, from Democracy, from the Istalian People.
A vertiginous crisis, a veritable dark age that lasted almost eighty years that seemed to drag the country towards centuries of oblivion and suffering, evil forces that plotted from outside and inside to destroy the country and definitively subdue it to their will. But precisely when the enemy, after centuries, had really succeeded in seizing Istalia, one of its most bitter enemies, here is that the courage of the Istalian people has emerged, and so the foreign tyrant has been overthrown, so a new guide has knowing how to lead the country, encouraging it and working with its people to lead the country to the glory and prosperity that belongs to the people of Istalia and whose fruits we are beginning to reap the benefits of which our children will enjoy in abundance

On the streets, the population seems to have welcomed the initiative, in many joining the celebrations, and in general Guard of Democracy has found great popular participation, especially among the workers, for whom a period of economic expansion is expected and therefore of job opportunities, as well as of course profit for companies of all sizes.
In Romula, however, some, albeit few, contrasting voices have been raised regarding what has been called as "fanaticism" by part of Guard of Democrazcy's members, compared to religious zealots totally devoted to the "new saving Word of this New Istalia". The comments came from Teresa Giacometti, a member of the Freedom Alliance group of CDC, who expressed the feeling of somewhat as an almost totalitarian tendency of the Militant Democracy advocated by the most fanatics of Guard of Democracy. However, many colleagues in her parliamentary group disassociated themselves from the words of Giacometti, who found support only from groups of far-left extra-parliamentary group, but found the dissent of most of the population and of public opinion, still fresh in their memory both the dossiers on the foiled Fascist uprising and the night of the Military Coup.

Preliminary 3D-model of the jet fighter proposed by Leonardi to the Lodamun Defense

16 July 4569

This morning, Quattroregni Palace issued a press release announcing that General Appiano De Borromei will visit Lodamun in four months, where he will be welcomed by the local government, firstly by President Oliver Mideen, even if the one that will serve as host to the The Head of the State will undoubtedly be the Minister of Defense Wieze Bout, with whom the Istalian Government and Leonardi Industrial Group, the largest industrial group in Istalian, have been conducting intense negotiations due to a bid launched by the Lodamun's Government for almost a year, specifically for the supply of 72 new jet fighters.

In July 4568 the Lodamese Ministry of Defense announced internationally the bid for the supply of the aircrafts for the local air defense force to which Leonardi had responded before the end of the year, proposing itself as a possible supplier and requesting the specifications of the jets demanded by the Lodamese Defense. After a few months the Istalian Government intervened in the negotiations proposing to combine efforts and resources for the development and production of the new aircraft, a latest generation multi-role jet, which, in much greater quantities, will replace numerous aircraft of the Istalian Air Force, mainly dedicated, like Lodamun, to the defense of the national air space and territory.

The Head of the State was one of the major supporters of the Leonardi's initiative and supported by the majority of the Parliament, formed mostly by liberals and representatives of Guard of Democracy, has repeatedly addressed directly the Lodamese Ministry of Defense, supporting the goodness of the project, also because Istalia will take on its shoulders the largest slice of development and production costs. The Head of the State stated that the trip will be an excellent opportunity to reaffirm the friendship between Istalia and Lodamun, which for several decades in the past have conducted a fruitful cooperation in the defensive field, as well as to restore luster to the quality of technology and of the country's industrial capabilities, a sign of its recovery and the forthcoming return to the top of world excellence.

Meanwhile, in Romula, it seems that several representatives of Guard of Democracy, "close" to the industrial group involved in the project, are also putting pressure on the Istalian Navy to enter the project too, requesting versions to be boarded on the istalian carriers, also in view of a future resumption of the operations of further units in addition to the carrier Perseveranza, if not the request for new aircraft carrier units, more dedicated to the defense of the territory and more suited to the current guidelines of the Istalian Defense.
