Surprise pact to change the government of Istalia
The Left Bloc and the National Liberal Party agree on a government agreement that would end almost 15 years of far-right rule

Image
Co-general secretary and Prime Minister to-be Alessia Soldato speaking with a senior member of the NAtional Liberal Party

This morning, at an unexpected press conference, the Left Bloc spokesman announced that his party and the National Liberal Party had reached a government agreement. The news has caught much of the nation by surprise, expecting the continuation of the current conservative government led by the far-right Order, Faith and Family and current Prime Minister Giovanni Carnavi. However, the two parties signing this pact will enjoy an absolute majority in the assembly to change the laws in which they agree, without having to vote in favor of other political parties.

According to the government agreement that will be proposed to the National Assembly and that has been leaked to the press, the Left Bloc would keep seven ministries in addition to the presidency of the government, while the remaining five ministries would go to the National Liberal Party. These, although they would hold a lower number of positions, would have the Ministries of Defense and Justice - the other three would correspond to Education & Culture, Infrastructure & Transport and Food & Agriculture - so that despite being less, their weight in the Executive remains compensated in this way.

The Left Bloc, on the other hand, would occupy the portfolios of Foreign Affairs - ministry that is likely to be occupied by the former President of the Assembly and first transsexual Carola Antonella -, Internal Affairs, Science & Technology - all the ballots are in the well-known political and co -General Secretary of the Bloc Aristarco Azzara to occupy this ministry - Environment & Tourism, Commerce & Industry, Finance and Health & Social Services.

Speaking to the media after learning about the success of the negotiation, in which Alessia Soldato herself has directly intervened, she said that although it will not be an easy government or an extremely progressive government, "it is a first step towards a future best".

"From the Left bloc, and I personally, we thank and appreciate the predisposition of the National Liberal Party to negotiate with us. I know that this pact has surprised many citizens, who did not see how a party like ours would be able to agree on a coalition government with a liberal party. But the same electoral night, after knowing the results, I already announced that I was going to try to form a government. And it seems to have been a success. Of course I would prefer a government that is markedly progressive and left-wing, but we have to adapt to the circumstances and the parliamentary arithmetic is what it is. That is why we have decided that the first thing is to remove from the Presidency of the government Order, Faith and Family, who has been in that position for more than a decade and the only thing that it has achieved is to build an increasingly unequal and confronted society. With this government agreement, once it is approved and the ministers take office, we will try to revert decades of conservative policies. It will not be easy, and we will not be able to introduce as many changes as we would like, but we believe that it is the best solution to the current problem, preferable to leaving OFF to occupy the head of government for one more term. For this reason, we have agreed with the National Liberal Party on a series of economic measures, somewhere in the middle between what both parties defend, but undoubtedly preferable to the ideas defended by some of the parties that will now pass to the opposition. Likewise, we have also agreed to promote a defense of the workers and vulnerable groups in our nation, such as women or the LGBT community. From the Left Bloc, we are going to try to ratify an international agreement for the defense of workers, and we are going to try it from the first moment we occupy our positions. I understand that this government is not the best that our voters would like, but it is the best that, under current circumstances, can be achieved. "

In addition, Mrs. Soldato has said that she will also meet with the governors of the Silicia and Sarregna regions to promote agreements that allow the further development of the island and end years of mistreatment of its inhabitants, as many supporters of Alarianism, including from her own party, have been repeatedly asking for to the central government, with little success until now.

Istalian government announces anti-crisis plans
Anticipating the possible recession that the country may suffer due to the crisis in Deltaria, the executive of Alessia Soldato announces stimulus plans to contain the economy

Image
Prime Minister Alessia Soldato at a meeting of her government

Prime Minister Alessia Soldato announced this afternoon, after a meeting with her ministers, that the Istalian government will launch a series of economic measures aimed at preventing or alleviating the effects of the economic crisis that Deltaria is currently going through to protect the workers of Istalia. Mrs. Soldato has announced that at the moment her government is not considering resorting to the Istalian Strategic Investment Fund because she trusts "the working class of Istalia and this government that will protect them."

The Prime Minister, who has announced that she will not carry out massive tax cuts as a way to alleviate a possible crisis because that "hurts workers", has confirmed that it is the State that will be largely responsible for preventing the istalian economy may go into recession.

For this, for a period of one year, the government will approve the so-called temporary employment regulation file, or FROT (file di regolamento sull'occupazione temporanea), which will allow companies that need to temporarily fire their employees by passing to collect their salary from State funds during that period. In addition, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Health and Social Services will coordinate to launch labor inspections and ensure that only the companies that really need it are those that benefit from the FROC. Similarly, inspections will be carried out periodically to verify that, after a certain period of time, these workers can be rehired.

Likewise, the government has announced that companies that declare themselves in loss and that need more than 65% government bailout will be nationalized for a period of one year, and subsequently their economic and government situation will be renegotiated. The rest of the companies that need to be rescued will be able to access a fund that the government prepares, as long as they pay their taxes on Istalian soil. Otherwise, they will not be allowed access to this "recovery fund".

"Thanks to the surplus that Istalia has been accumulating year after year thanks to progressive budgets and progressive economic legislation beneficial to our country, the State has accumulated enough capital to be able to afford these actions. Those who criticized before that those measures were taken will now receive with the open arms that it is the State that deals with their losses and that they are not the ones who are forced into the street. "

The Minister of Social Services, Gianmarco Silli, has also announced that he is already coordinating with numerous aid associations and NGOs to anticipate the foreseeable "queues of hunger" that any crisis may generate in the country, and will delegate to regional governments the power to manage the help and reception centers for all those who need it.

BREAKING The Left Bloc takes Istalian government to the Supreme Court
The party accuses the Prime Minister of discrimination and humiliating treatment of the citizens of Istalia on the basis of their sex and sexual orientation, and asks for prison sentences and the illegalization of Order, Faith and Family

Image
Mercurio Ciresi, brand new general secretary of the Left Bloc, arriving to the Supreme Court

The newly elected new secretary general of the Left Bloc after the resignation of Alessia Soldato after failing to achieve the expected results, Mercurio Ciresi - from the same political family and even affiliated with the Communist Party of the Silician People - announced this morning at parliamentary headquarters that he will bring the current coalition government between OFF, The Alliance and the Populists to the Supreme Court. The reason? The laws approved by OFF that prevent the participation of women in the armed forces and that allow them to actively search for and dismiss homosexual people from the armed forces. In addition, it will also denounce the government for a public health crime before the approval of a law that allows the government not to take part in the vaccination of its citizens and for another crime against religious freedom by allowing only under religious precepts the loss of service civil or military.

After a heated discussion in the National Assembly, the Left Bloc deputies have left the Chamber and have accused the government of "undermining the rule of law", especially Order, Faith and Family but with the complicity of their government partners.

"The one who remains silent before an injustice is complicit and just as guilty as the one who executes it,"
Mr. Ciresi has sentenced, who has also accused both parties of being "the crutches of OFF" and of "having deceived citizens by pretending they were going to change something, but in the end, not changing at all. "

Mr. Ciresi, a deputy for more than 20 years and known for his direct character and his parliamentary dialectic, is not a complete stranger to Istalian politics: he is a former Silicia's Minister of Education and Culture and Chief of Staff of Aristarco Azzara during his time as President of the Senate.

Just a few hours ago, Mercurio Ciresi, a labor lawyer by profession, has presented his argument before the Supreme Court

"For the attention of the Supreme Court of Istalia,

DEMAND FROM MR. MERCURIO CIRESI AND PARLIAMENTARY GROUP LEFT BLOC AGAINST THE ISTALIAN GOVERNMENT AND PARLIAMENTARY GROUPS ORDER, FAITH AND FAMILY, THE ALLIANCE AND THE POPULISTS

Mr. Mercurio Ciresi, representing the Left Bloc parliamentary group, with collegiate number 1349223, I appear and as best proceed in law I FUNDAMENT the following:

FIRST: That the government has failed the citizens in their duty to protect them all equally.

SECOND: That the government has approved an achievement of discriminatory laws contrary to the Constitution and the laws of the nation.

THIRD: That the government does not show repentance and shows a willingness to repeat the facts.

ACTS:
1. Order, Faith and Family approves the law entitled "Defense Progress Act" (http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill. ... lid=628897), which includes a ban on women serving in armed forces as well as an equal prohibition for homosexual people to do so, also encouraging the search for people of this sexual condition within the body to "expel them".

2. Order, Faith and Family approves the law entitled "Religion Act" (http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill. ... lid=628898), which approves that the government does not take sides in the vaccination of the citizens of Istalia and that conscientious objectors can only do so by citing religious motives, approves an official religion with mandatory links and forces prayer in all schools in Istalia.

Once the FACTS have been raised, the prosecution sets out the following REASONS for filing this DEMAND:

1. In relation to fact (1), simply naming a law that actively discriminates against more than 50% of the population of this nation as "Progress" constitutes an act of discrimination in itself. At this point, the accusation classifies the law as sexist and homophobic, given the articles that are presented in it and that have been approved. To argue this accusation, this representative is based on the law known as "Assuring the safeness of our society" (http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill. ... lid=597877), in which it is clearly established that " The tribunes will be able to persue a shortened procedure to handle the cases of: personal assualt due to discriminanting motivations related to ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, political opinion, nationality, cultures, traditions, damage and / or destruction of properties due to the discriminanting motivations already mentioned.", no citizen of this nation may, therefore, be subjected to any type of discrimination by the foregoing. In addition, the so-called "Constitutional Law on the Duty of the State Toward the Citizens and to Promote a Fairer Society for a Greater Well-Being of All Our Citizens" establishes that "The State to persue this duty shall assure to all its citizens a protection for the dignity of the workers on the work place and of their rights. Futhermore, it is recognized to all citizens the right to work and the State promote the conditions that make this right effective. Every citizen has the duty to carry out, according to his own possibilities and his own choice, an activity or a function that contributes to the material or spiritual progress of the society. " This accusation is also based on the so-called law "The Head of State's Mandate for the Protection of the State, the Institutions and the High Values and Principle of Istalia", in which it is also established that "the National Congress declares as administratively and criminally sanctionable all those manifestations and actions of intolerance and threat to the State, the Society and the Institutions, and therefore to the Values and Principles of the Istalian Nation.
Among these we condemn and authorize the action of law enforcement and the judiciary for: Discriminatory propaganda affecting individuals or social groups because of their ethnicity, their gender, their sexual orientation, their religion, their political beliefs, possible disabilities. "

2. In relation to the fact (2), taking into account the arguments set forth in the fact (1), Order, Faith and Family is accused of carrying out a crime against public health in the first place, by failing to consider vaccines are compulsory in our citizens, without presenting valid arguments against them, exposing only religious motives ahead, incompatible with an approval of similar characteristics and with similar consequences. The effectiveness and usefulness of vaccines has been widely demonstrated, and their widespread use in a society like ours is what prevents many of our citizens from finding certain death in preventable diseases.
In relation to religious laws, the accusation considers an attack against the freedom of religion the points already exposed, since in our nation it guarantees freethought and freedom of worship, as befits democratic societies.

After the reasons stated, the prosecution announces the following CHARGES:

1. In relation to the fact (1), the prosecution accuses Order, Faith and Family of HOMOPHOBIA, SEXISM and HATE CRIME, in addition to ATTACKING THE CONSTITUTION and its laws, contravening the most basic legal and coexistence precept that our nation has.

2. In relation to the fact (2), the indictment accuses Order, Faith and Family of a CRIME AGAINST PUBLIC HEALTH by endangering the health of all citizens of Istalia by failing to guarantee a fair vaccination schedule that allows effective protection against diseases not otherwise avoidable; it also charges Order, Faith and Family with a CRIME AGAINST RELIGIOUS FREEDOM, INDOCTRINATION and an ATTACK ON FREEDOM OF WORSHIP.

Following these allegations, the plaintiffs REQUEST the following:

1. The ANNULMENT of all UNCONSTITUTIONAL LAWS that have been approved by Order, Faith and Family, in the manner stipulated by the Supreme Court.

2. PRISON SENTENCE for Prime Minister Giovanni Carnavi, as well as all members of his cabinet belonging to Order, Faith and Family, for carrying out unconstitutional and contrary to law actions by putting his ideological criteria ahead.

3. PRISON SENTENCE for the Minister of Health, Alessia Froio, of the Populists, because we understand that she has not wanted to defend the citizens of Istalia against the health attacks carried out by Order, Faith and Family, thus failing to her role as the highest civilian representative for health rights that all citizens of Istalia deserve, failing to raise her voice and make note her disagreement with the laws carried by her coalition partners.

4. PRISON SENTENCE for the Minister of Defense, Marciano Luchini, of the Populists, for the same arguments presented for the Minister of Health, but in this case related to the armed forces.

5. PRISON SENTENCE for the Minister of Internal Affairs, Constant Buonocore, of the Populists, for the same arguments presented for the Ministers of Health and Defense but in this case related to the civil and religious rights that correspond to our nation.

6. ECONOMIC SANCTION and OBLIGATION TO APOLOGIZE to both Populists and The Alliance, as it is understood that not raising your voice publicly against what is considered injustice in itself denotes an act of complicity, especially when sharing government with those who have approved the laws

6. Ultimately, and if the Court so considers, we demand the ILLEGALIZATION of Order, Faith and Family for repeated attacks against the Constitution of Istalia and repeated offenses, as well as attacks against public health, freedom of religion, and fundamental rights of our citizens. Order, Faith and Family presents a long history of attacking minority rights, especially related to the LGBT collective and women. Their actions are not a specific case, but rather they have been taking place year after year, without showing signs of repentance or change of course and therefore, endangering the constitutional order of our nation, allowing and even carrying out attacks on the Rule of Law of our nation and acting with impunity.

Signed:

Mercury Ciresi,
Secretary General of the Left Bloc

Left Bloc Parliamentary Group

From what is read in the lawsuit, the Left Bloc has not come to play. He calls for prison terms for 10 of the 13 members of the government, including the Prime Minister, for various crimes including homophobia, sexism, hate crime, attack on public health, crime against religious freedom or indoctrination. Also, in a devastating last paragraph, the Left Bloc calls for the final ban on Order, Faith and Family.

While waiting to hear the Supreme Court's ruling on this lawsuit, the Left Bloc has already contacted the Socialists & Democrats and various unions and associations and is preparing massive planned mobilizations throughout the national territory.
___________________________________________________________________________________

Update:

After knowing about the accusation presented before the Supreme Court, the Populists' Minister of the Interior, Constante Buonocore, proposed an emergency bill named "Act for the Emergency Confidence in the Highest Officials of the Empire" (http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill. ... lid=629038) which would protect the government from any civil or criminal liability for their speech or actions related with the performance of their duties during their term of office. After having knowledge of this issue, General Secretary of the Left Bloc Mercurio Ciresi accused the Populists of "
"Knowing that they had done it wrong, that what they have done was a crime, and instead of acknowledging it, try to use state institutions to protect themselves."

For this reason, the Secretary General filed another lawsuit against the Populists for improper use of State institutions, corruption and attempted escape from justice, as well as for using the figure of the Emperor.

"They have even dared to involve the figure of the Head of State in this matter, invoking" faith in the Emperor "as a way to protect themselves against the accusations. This matter is very serious, and we demand that the Emperor himself pronounce himself in a time on this topic and stop being silent. "

"What they are proposing is literally a proposition that they know will be approved because they have a majority for it, which will allow them to escape with impunity from the crimes they have committed against our citizens, and instead they will find a crime very major: Now we are also going to accuse them of BETRAYAL TO THE STATE by passing a law that literally mentions: ARTCLE 1. Members of the Government are exempted from any civil or criminal liability for their speech or actions related with the performance of their duties during their term of office.
ARTICLE 2. The Supreme Court of Istalia can if necessary prosecute a Member of the Government if said Member have violated any Constitutional Laws.
ARTICLE 3. The resignation of a Member of the Government during the investigation or prosecution of said Member before being sentenced by the Supreme Court shall be exempted from any civil or criminal liability for their speech or actions, unconstitutionally or constitutionally, related with the performance of their duties during their term of office.
ARTICLE 4. Article 3 of this Act shall remain in effect until 31 December 4799. "

The Emperor summons the Prime Minister expressing concern and contrariness
The Head of State will not sign the law on the legal shield for the government and calls for respect of the Supreme Court asking for the respect of the principle of Powers' separation
Image
His Majesty the Emperor Nicola II

2 June 4792

ROMULA - After months of crisis and diatribe and with millions on the streets demonstrating against the government and mainly against Prime Minister Carnavi, protesting against the religious laws introduced in the Country, finally Emperor Nicola intervened by releasing a press release and summoning the Prime Minister to express concern and open contrariness to the conduct of His government.

In the press release, the Emperor expresses the unacceptability of the religious measures introduced in the country, judged as contrary to the constitutional values of democracy and freedom of Istalia.

In addition, the Head of State expressed dismay at the law proposed by the Populists, in coalition with Carnavi's Order, Faith and Family, which, according to the Emperor, would represent an undue intrusion of the executive power in the field of the Judiciary, adding that He formally refuses to sign the said law.
The Sovereign, in fact, called for respect for the dignity and role of the constitutional Court which is called to respond and to judge on issues such as laws seen as unconstitutional and to judge also on the actions and conduct of the executive if requested. The Emperor then, following clear legal and constitutional provisions, continued saying that it will be a decision by part of the Court if proceeding or not with the prosecution proposed by the opposition and that an ordinary law of the Parliament clearly cannot undermine the powers and the rights of the Supreme Court.

No further statements have been made from the Palace but some of the rumors following the meeting between the Emperor and the Prime Minister seem to report that the Head of State would have even recommended to resign to Mr Giovanni Carvani, the first of the list of the accused included in the complaint presented to the Constitutional Court, and do not propose again himself as Head of Government promoting a change of leadership, in light of the serious accusations and the large demonstrations that are blocking the country for weeks.
This is a truly unusual position by the Istalian Crown which has always held in high regard the bipartisan role of the Throne, a line of conduct which, as stated by the Imperial Household, this time could not be followed in the light of evident violations of the most basic personal freedoms which, together with other measures, actually promote forms of serious discrimination and violation of fundamental freedoms.

Meanwhile, the protest is mounting day after day and assaults have been reported to an Aurorian Church, which has been vandalized, and to the headquarters of a financial foundation owned by the Aurorian Church. A sit-in was organized in front of the Palace of the Patriarchate in Romula, behind the Archbasilica of St. Matthias the Baptist to the Walls, with banners and choirs praising the separation between Church and State.
In Eristano, instead, after the signalation by part of a citizens about another citizens exposing banners against the Church from his apartment's windows, the personnel of the State Police sent to the reported apartment refused to force the citizens to remove the banners and expressed their concerns about the recent laws even menacing to drop off their police badges.

Same concerns have been expressed instead few hours ago even by the Office of the Chief of Defence Staff which underlined how the restriction of personnal freedoms introduced by the new laws actually seriously clash ethicaly and morally with the principles on which the Country and of course the National Gendarmerie, the other military law enforcement agency of Istalia, have been built.

The relationship between Governor Azzara and a member of the Imperial family is made public
Grand Princess Elisa and Enrico Azzara secretly marry in a discreet ceremony, while Silicia's new governor lashes out at the central government and announces full support of the Silician government to protesters

Image
Image courtesy of a guest in the Governor Enrico Azzara's and Grand Princess Elisa's civil wedding

After years of secrecy, private meetings and numerous rumors, images of the wedding between Silicia's governor, the blocist Enrico Azzara, and a member of the imperial family, who is none other than Grand Princess Elisa, youngest daughter of Grand Prince Nicola Nadir and Maria Ornella Valenti-Pamphilj, have been released today. Elisa's mother is a descendant from the Valenti and Pamphilj Families, both of them rose in the past among the Nobility of Istalia and the former is the family of Damiano Valenti, 1st Duke of Ulbia, the veritable architect of the Imperial Reform.

This union, carried out without any religious rite and of which it is not known if any member of the imperial family has come, puts an end to years of rumors about the possible relationship of Governor Azzara, son of one of the most fervent Republicans of Istalia, with a member of the imperial family.

Although the exact opinion of many of the members of the imperial family is not known, most of whom have been taken by surprise by this news, Maria Ornella, mother of Elisa, is the most opposed to the relation, as she view it as disrespectful not only of the Imperial House but also of the memory of Damiano Valenti, by marrying a well-known Republican and defender of Alarianism.

However, Grand Princess Elisa does not seem to share the vision of her family regarding this issue, because according to close friends consulted, it was he who proposed to her after a few years of secret meetings, and she who asked him for a time to think about it, as she was torn between her status and family and the love for Azzara, finally choosing to marry him. In addition, her close friends say that despite the fact that she is more interested in her love for the governor than in political matters, she has expressed on specific occasions and always discreetly implicit support for the republicanism of her now husband, statements that may be uncomfortable right now the imperial family.

Apparently, they met in a cinema celebration that reunited many famous people of Istalia, including members of the nobility, to promote the latest film in which the now-governor participated at the time. Instantaneous blow, and from then until now, they have only been able to be seen discreetly and in spaced periods of time.

Now, without knowing what her family's reaction will be to her person upon hearing the news, Grand Princess Elisa has taken refuge in her husband's house in Silicia while he returns to serve as Governor, position recovered after the 4792 elections after he had been dethroned 8 years ago by the Socialists & Democrats.

Enrico Azzara, for his part, has preferred not to make statements to the press about his love life and his relationship with the imperial family, of which he has always been a great critic and of which he has reneged on numerous occasions, and has preferred to focus the debate after his return to the government of Silicia in confronting the national government.

In his inaugural address, the governor has charged against what he has termed the "authoritarian and undemocratic drift" of the Istalian government and announced that his government will head-on against central government measures in every way possible. In addition, he has declared his full support for the protests that are taking place across the country and has announced that he will join some of them as soon as his agenda fits.

"The authoritarian and undemocratic drift of Order, Faith and Family, explicitly supported by the Populists, cannot go unpunished. It is extremely worrying and that is why this regional government will file a new lawsuit before the Supreme Court to support the one presented by the Secretary General of the Left Bloc, Mercurio Ciresi, in relation to the latest laws promoted by this disaster government. Although my differences with the imperial family are well known, I thank Nicola II for his speech in which he announces that he will not ratify the Law fraud promoted by the Populists that sought to legally shield any action carried out by the government of which it is a part, despite having passed laws that violate the very fundamental rights of citizens, in this region they cannot be imposed. To the protesters I say: keep doing it, because we hear you, we support you, and we will join you "

Image
A group of police officers checking a fire to ensure no one gets hurt in the context of last night's protests

The Governor, who has also announced his intention to declare the current Prime Minister Giovanni Carnavi persona non-grata in Silicia for hate crimes, homophobia and sexism - a statement that has no legal effect when carried out on members of the country itself - has subsequently given way at the words of his Minister of the Interior, Elisabetta Meo, who has proceeded to read a statement sent to her council by the Silician police force, in which they report that they refuse to suppress the protests against the government because they consider them "legitimate" and a very defense of Istalia's own existence as a nation of free and equal. Mrs. Meo has condemned the attacks on churches and other places of worship, but has affirmed that it has been the policies of Order, faith and Family that have led citizens to that extreme, and has stated that the regional government supports the 100% protests and will not stand in their way.

"Chissà che sarà di noi?" triumphes at the Romula Film Festival on the notes of the unforgettable Lucio Bellini
Director Greta Marinetti enchanted the public bringing to the screen both the simplicity and complexity of the love inspired by the music of the everlasting istalian singer-songwriter which the critics judged as "A full load of emotions"
Image

14 November 4795

ROMULA - A unique experience: get out of a festival film by singing, with your eyes full of images and tears and your heart full of music. It happens today, at the Vittorio Verdi Hall of the Imperial Auditorium of Romula, the permanent seat of the Romula International Film Festival, at the end of the screening of "Chissà che sarà di noi" (Who knows what will become of us), directed by Greta Marinetti, and built entirely on the songs of the unforgettable Lucio Bellini, disappeared two years ago at 67 after a long illness.

Taking a cue from Bellini's timeless successes, mixing and pasting various his texts which over the years have faced the many facets of love declined in all its shades, a script was born and from this came a film which narrates the relationship between the two protagonists of the film, played by Francesca Navelli and Saverio Palmucci, starting from youthful dreams and torments, going through difficulties and sufferings to then arriving at the happy ending, a love story but also a story of growth and maturation.

Although this year's favorite film was certainly the barmenian historical "Exile and Martyrdom", inspired by the life of Ismail Rabban, leader and founder of the Ruhi Faith, which however conquered the critics' special award, the Golden Eagle finally was awarded by Marinetti's film.

Among the countless songs by Bellini that have excited the public, these three are certainly the ones that best summarize the story of Nico (Saverio Palmucci) and Alice (Francesca Navelli) and which respectively serve as a backdrop to their falling in love, their meeting after a long separation and their decision to unite for life.

Uniti, Indivisibili, Vicini (United, Indivisible, Close)
Lasciarti non è possibile (Leaving you is not possible)
Chissà che sarà di noi (Who knows what will become of us?)

After more than fifteen years during which the movies presented within the special "religious and historical" section of the Festival gained the most important awards, this year we saw a changement in this paradigm, marked by the victory of "Chissa che sarà di noi" but also by the presenced of many other interesting not religious or historical films which have drawn attention of the audiences, a success for these films which pushed many young directors as well as actors to express their satisfaction but also their hopes for a less unilaterally oriented Festival.

It does not seem coincidence that this changement within the Festival came at the end of the long lasting tenure of Giovanni Carnavi and at the fall of the hegemonic very religious Order, Faith and Family party and generally the civil society as well as the cultural and artistic one are expressing some relief from the previous "national cultural atmosphera" influenced by the very religious establishment leading the country for decades.

However, some people gathered close to the Auditorium to demonstrates against another film presented this year, the film Il Vuoto Dentro (''The Void Inside'') which director, Alessandro Pani, by linking the narrative of strong experiences and feelings with a very artistic photography, gained a special mention from the Jury and the critics. The film has generated scandal among the most traditionalist Hosian communities by telling of a once famous writer and screenwriter who has long been afflicted by an artistic crisis, resulting from the abandonment of his wife, which led him to become an alcoholic, often to abuse substances drugs and frequenting the dark underground of the society and starting a relationship with a friend of his teenage daughter, who is in turn showing a form of morbid attachment to her father, giving rise to a series of grotesque vicissitudes.

Istalia will once again participate in FOMAT, at the fourth edition which will be hosted in Jakania, and the rock band "Liberi Liberi" will represent Istalia: latest winners of the Festival of the Istalian Song, this year held in Vinesia, the band triumphed with the song "Inadeguato" (Luthorian: "Inadeguate") which deals with the difficulty of feeling adequate and at ease in a world that wants us approved and homologated, extracted from their eighth album, a concept album focused on the theme of man into the society.

The Song "Inadeguato"

Alternative rock band formed in Bunogna 19 years ago, Liberi Liberi have made their way starting from the underground istalian music scene, disliked by the traditionalist establishment of the past years, touching uncomfortable themes but above all praising greater personal freedom and greater openness and tolerance, throwing against bigotry in the Istalian society.
Rejected twice at the Festival of the Istalian Song, it is suspected it was due to political pressure, the band have been finally included in the musical festival only last year where they imposed themselves, contributing to the greater ratings peaks recorded by ERIS (the national television service which organizes the Festival) and also winning a special career award, perhaps a way to make amends for the past by part of the Festival's organization.

Corriere d'Istalia joins all the cultural as well as institutional and political authorities in wishing the best to Liberi Liberi.

The Primate of Istalia, Solentia and Quanzar spoke against the Selucian Government
Patriarch Gabriele IV condemns the Constitution of the Clergy, calls for the unity of the Church worldwide and firmly reaffirms the Canons: "The Vicar of Eliyahu is chosen only and exclusively by the will of God"

ROMULA - Although in Istalia the Aurorian Church is facing the fall of its major political sponsor, the Order, Faith and Family party, and a growing political opposition, a much important issue is attracting the attention of Gabriele IV, Patriarch of Istalia, Solentia and Quanzar, namely the recent news came from Selucia where the local Church is suffering the action of the military government currently leading the country.

After several measures to undermine the authority, influence and independence of the Church into the country, eventually the Government issued a Constitution of the Clergy with which it is demanded to the whole Selucian Clergy to swear a oath to the State and, thus, to the regime. The Government, recognizing the Arch-Patriarch of Aurorianism as a member of the Selucian clergy, asked even to him to swear.
Obviously, His Holliness the Arch-Patriarch Benedictus X refused to accomplish with the Government's dispositions but a minoritarian part of the clergy accepted to swear and the Government his ready to proceed with elections to replace the ministries now considered as ordinary citizens and among them it was announced also the elections for a new Arch-Patriarch.

Facing such news, today Gabriele IV released a note with which he condemns the Constitution of the Clergy and the intentions to elect a new Arch-Patriarch. The Patriarch of Istalia rejected the supposed and unilaterarly claimed supremacy by part of the Selucian Government on the Aurorian Church and on its doctrine, firstly mentioning some scriptures:

Certainly no one, who is a Aurorian, can ignore that Eliyahu in establishing his Church gave the Apostles and their successors a power subject to no one else on Terra, as all agreed the Holy Fathers on the admonition given by Lavinium and from St. Atanasius with these words: «Do not ingest yourselves in ecclesiastical things, nor impose precepts on them over Us, but rather learn them from Us; God gave the Empire to you, ecclesiastical things to Us, and since those who took the Empire away from you would contradict the divine command, so you too worry not to be guilty of a greater crime by drawing ecclesiastical things to you". And it was for this reason that St. Peter Chrysostom, to prove how true this was, remembered what had happened to Oza, "who, having with his hand supported the Ark, which otherwise would have fallen, immediately died because he wanted to usurp a ministry which to he didn't compete at all. Did the violation of the Sabbath, and simply touching the perilous Ark, move God with such disdain that the offenders of these fouls could not obtain any remission from him? And then who can corrupt the adorable and holy dogmas, can he be excused, and obtain forgiveness? This is not possible, no, it will never be ».

Then saying:

It is simply unthinkable to be able to question the sacred rights of a Power that only from God has received the right to decide the matters belonging to the doctrine about the Faith or about the Moral; to make canons or rules of discipline concerning the conduct of ministers of the Church and the faithful in the order of religion; to arrange his ministers or to depose them according to the same rules, and to be obeyed in imposing on the faithful, according to the canonical order, not only healthy penances, but true spiritual penalties by means of judgments or censures, which the first Pastors had the right to speak. Yet this government has arrogated to itself the power of the Church, coming to establish many and so strange things, which are contrary to both Dogma and ecclesiastical discipline, forcing the Bishops and Ecclesiastics all to swear to carry out what it has decreed. Of this, however, it should not be surprising anyone who notes from the Constitution of the Selucian Government that this aims at nothing else other than the subjugation of the Aurorian Religion in Selucia.

The Patriarch clearly underlined that no one if not Benedictus X will be recognized as rightfull Arch-Patriarch of the Holy Apostolic Hosian Church of Terra and that any elected "Constitutional" Arch-Patriarch elected following the new legal provisions will be fully rejected and never recognized as head of the Aurorian Church.

It is not up to any terran government to recognize or to appoint the head of the our Mother Universal Church. Only the Cardinals as successors of the Apostles in communion with and lead by the Spirit of God can chose the Vicar of Eliyahu, rightfull successor of Michael. It is sure that a single terran government cannot impose its will on the faith of billions of people around the world, billions of people who are now suffering for the fate of our Holy Father and to whom I ask to to join me in praying for Him and for the well being of our Mother Auororian Church.

Finally, the Patriarch expressed hard words towards those ecclesiastics who accepted to swear, saying that they are not simply betraying the Arch-Patriarch but they are betraying their vow to Eliyahu, to the Church and namely to the faithful and the whole aurorian community and called for the unity of the Church worldwide to firmly stand against this threat.

OOC: I took something from the Papal encyclical "Quod aliquantum".
