Filippo Sartori brings together the anti-fascist parties: the Coalition for the Democratic Cooperation is born
Romula, 28 November 4560
Following intense dialogues carried out since the beginning of October, the Minister of the Interior and Secretary of the newly founded Guard of Democracy party, Filippo Sartori, brought together all the pro-democratic parties admitted to compete for the looming elections of February under a single electoral list.
The Minister of the Interior, and right-hand man of General Appiano De Borromei, was immediately one of the most aggressive critics of the Nationalist Workers Party and to oppose the fascist movement he launched already in August a heartfelt appeal to all forces in favor of the nascent Istalian Militant Democracy to create a common front and come together under a single symbol ready to support the current Head of State and therefore to defend the Nation from what he has defined as a very serious and concrete threat from an unacceptable ideology, totally in antithesis with the noble democratic principles of the Istalian People.
Despite the law enforcement forces, following the legal provisions concerning the defense of the democratic order, closed several sections of the NWP, seized electoral material and prevented the holding of rallies in the squares, the PNW, constantly remaining on the line that it separates legality and illegality and by exploiting the judicial guarantee in force in Istalia, it nevertheless managed to continue its propaganda, especially through social networks, managing to bring numerous supporters into the streets and, as already mentioned, becoming itself a compact united front for all those political forces excluded from the electoral round.
Several detractors of the Head of State and of what they call "the Amber Regime" declared that, despite the Government's triumphant proclamations, the opposition would be much broader than touted and that the move by the Minister of Interior to gather the the rest of the parties admitted to the elections against the NWP would be the demonstration that the "regime" is aware of the existence of a greater dissent than what they want to make believe and that it is the umpteenth demonstration of the control mania and the autocratic ambitions of General Appiano De Borromei and his minions.
The latest polls, however, still report a wide advantage for all the parties supporting the Government today, with Glory and Rebirth as front-runner followed by the Social Democratic Alliance of Istalia, New Liberals, the Majatran Movement, Guard of Democracy and the Freedom Alliance (fromed by Glory and Freedom and the Libertarian Party). But the electoral activity of the NWP is getting more and more pounding but above all, he abandoned the most ideological positions in favor of a propaganda aimed more at discrediting the current government and its work, with the leader of the NWP, Federico Masserini, which proposes itself as a valid alternative against liberalism and the capitalist positions of Glory and Rebirth, suggesting, in fact, that in reality the coup d'etat of two years before was only a false-flag operation organized by the same Head of State to ensure the support of the working classes, an accusation that Admiral Sartori strongly rejected and criticized.
On the issue, however, the Head of State did not express himself and indeed since the announcement of the elections he left to the party and Sartori the burden of leading the electoral campaign. Unconfirmed rumors that are going on just in the last hours would see in this behavior the fact that General Appiano De Borromei already two years ago had decided not to run again to the leadership of the State and that only the insistence of Sartori and the fascist threat would have convinced him to stand again. The NWP has also raised doubts about these rumors, asserting that these are pre-packaged and intentionally leaked news to "sanctify" even more the General Appiano De Borromei. On the web, on the other hand, the NWP has massively exploited fake news and distorted news to attract consensus, a smear campaign, as defined by the democratic opposition, which accuses the amber leadership of not wanting to defend the nation but sell it to international capitalism and globalization.
By now close to the elections, however, the electoral silence is about to take effect and only the ballot boxes at this point can tell us what the future of the country will be.
