While far right movements in Istalia are really sad about the fact that their favorite party will be dissolved, many Istalians are relieved to see the Thallerists leave. TRIESTA - I Cantieri Magistro-Leonardi di Triesta ancora all'opera per Hawu Mumenhes ed accanto ai lavori per le commissioni della Marina Istaliana sono stati avviati anche quelli per la nazione centro-Artaniana.
L'imponente massa dell'ormai decommissionato Alsemet il Grande ha occupato il bacino 5A da pochi mesi ed oggi è completamente avvolto da impalcature mentre migliaia di uomini lavorano alacremente sulle decine di migliaia di tonnellate da rimettere totalmente a nuovo. L'Alsemet il Grande è stata l'ultima unità della Classe Enrico Bergson e dopo un lungo servizio nella Marina Militare è stato infine da poco tempo sostituita con l'ultima nata della classe Fortezza, oggi l'unica classe di superportaerei attive nella Marina Istaliana.
L'affidabilità del progetto come anche la qualità della tecnica e della tecnologia Istaliana hanno permesso ai vascelli di questa classe di resistere egregiamente a molti anni di servizio e di entrare oggi nel 44esimo secolo. Del vecchio Alsemet il Grande saranno mantenute praticamente tutte le componenti strutturali, lo scafo e le due isole, per il resto, saranno installati nuovi motori, nuovi propulsori, nuovi ascensori tra l'hangar ed il ponte di volo, nuovi cablaggio e tubazioni interne, sistemi informatici, sensori e sistemi difensivi. Tra i cambiamenti più notevoli, la rimozione delle catapulte per il lancio degli aerei e l'installazione di uno sky-jump, soluzione decisamente più economica e facile da gestire ed intrattenere e che inoltre ridurrà i tempi dei lavori dato che uno dei componenti più complessi del vascello non sarà sostituito.

Pochi bacini più in là, invece, lo scafo del sottomarino classe Nautilo ex-Argonauta entra nelle fasi finali dei lavori e se precedentemente doveva essere varato in circa sei mesi, oggi si prevede un anno, forse poco più, di lavori aggiuntivi: l'Argonauta, in fatti, in corso d'opera è stato acquistato dal governo di Nekhatw a seguito di un accordo stabilito negli ultimi mesi del Govero Revara II guidato da Simone Calenda: alla luce della premura da parte di Hawu Mumenhes per introdurre nuovi vascelli nella propria Marina Militare, a seguito dell'ordine di un sottomarino classe Nautilo da consegnare nei tempi più brevi possibili, Magistro-Leonardi e la Difesa Istaliana hanno negoziato una delazione nella consegna del terzo sottomarino di questa classe all'Istalia per permettere alla Compagnia di rispettare le tempistiche stabilite con Hawu. I lavori aggiuntivi prevederanno la riconfigurazione del sottomarino per la piena capacità di navigazione oceanica e per il ruolo di sottomarino d'attacco principale; tra i cambiamenti maggiori la sostituzione della sezione per le operazioni speciali, dotata di camera di equilibrio e spazio per truppe e mezzi d'assalto, con dei lanciatori verticali di missili da crociera anti-nave.

Funzionerà la proposta per il dialogo del Presidente Massa? Critiche giungono dall'Alleanza Radicale che attacca duramente Manningam-Buller: "impossibile per lui non mentire! Sindrome psicologica?"

Molti analisti ed esperti di difesa hanno voluto sottolineare non solo la fiducia che inspira la tecnica istaliana e la sua affidabilità e resistenza, ma, parlando di geopolitica, hanno indicato tutto l'affare come un chiaro segno della convergenza di intenti tra il Governo di Romula e quello di Nekhatw, soprattutto nel teatro Seleyano alla luce delle recenti tensioni tra Saridan da una parte ed Hawu Mumenhes dall'altra.
Proprio parlando di Saridan e delle recenti dichiarazioni del locale Capo di Stato, buona parte dell'opinione pubblica si è mostrata scettica sulle capacità nucleari vantate da Curtis Spencer ed anche lo Stato Maggiore Istaliano considera quelle minacce come propaganda di intimidazione pura e semplice, considerando estremamente remota la possibilità di sviluppare armi nucleari da parte del know how e dell'industria Saridanese, scetticismo confermato anche dai servizi segreti che hanno rilasciato anche una dettagliata analisi sulla situazione industriale e tecnica di Saridan che mostra un paese nel quale le industrie più sviluppate sono quella agroalimentare e del trasporto marittimo (orientata all'esportazione dei prodotti dell'agricoltura) mentre il resto dell'industria è piuttosto arretrata e limitata, con "eccellenze tecnologiche" sostenute dall'intervento statale, tra l'altro per fini propagandistici. Inoltre, il dossier ha sottolineato come importantissime risorse del budget nazionale siano dedicate alla sicurezza nazionale e soprattutto alle forze dell'ordine dedicate totalmente alla difesa e preservazione del regime di Apartheid, il mantenimento dell'apparato di internamento politico e razziale, la repressione ed il controllo delle minoranze e della massa schiavizzata, il controllo delle frontiere, ecc...

La nuova amministrazione istaliana guidata dal Presidente Massa, comunque, sembra per il momento volersi orientare verso una ricerca di soluzioni diplomatiche per smorzare le tensioni crescenti con Saridan. Nonostante diverse lodi per l'approccio pacifico e moderato, si sono sollevate anche proteste contro Massa, soprattutto da parte di associazioni per i diritti civili e dell'elettorato progressista. In prima fila ovviamente Alleanza Radicale ed al proposito uno dei membri di spicco del partito, Amina Bengazi, Capogruppo alla Camera, ha espresso in questo modo l'opinione del partito:

Comprendiamo come e perché il Presidente Massa stia cercando di intraprendere la strada del dialogo, d'altronde sta cercando di calmare le tensioni e preservare la pace, ma Alleanza Radicale non può esimersi dal rimproverare al Capo dello Stato l'approccio eccessivamente compiacente verso il leader Saridanese, una persona che senza vergogna definisce "animali" e "sub-umani" milioni di Saridanesi ai quali non è riconosciuta la cittadinanza, considerati come dei menomati, e quindi centinaia di migliaia di persone ridotte in schiavitù! Ci aspettiamo da Massa una negoziazione risoluta e che si focalizzi sulla condizione di questi milioni di perseguitati e diseredati. Nonostante il nostro augurio per Masso, purtroppo dobbiamo anche esprimere tutto il nostro scetticismo nei confronti del Governo Saridanese: sono dispotti ad abbandonare le loro politiche segregazioniste? Sono pronti ad abolire la schiavitù e liberare migliaia e migliaia di innocenti? Tra i quali, sottolineiamo, vi sono anche tantissimi bambini, schiavizzati insieme alle loro comunità o nati da schiavi. Ci auguriamo che Massa tenga conto di tutto ciò e che abbia ben in mente cosa chiedere.

Amina Bengazi quindi ha risposto brevemente ai giornalisti che la incalzavano riguardo le recenti dichiarazioni del leader Nazionalista Mordusiano Manningham-Buller sulle attività di corruzione istaliane:

Cosa c'è da commentare? Solo rispondere ai deliri di quella persona vorrebbe dire dargli anche troppa importanza ed attenzione. Si è reso ridicolo con la diatriba sulle olimpiadi Valruziane e si sta rendendo ancora più ridicolo riguardo quelle Invernali.
Piuttosto, ciò che dobbiamo condannare è la politica di odio e discriminazione che sta diffondendo e la difesa e promozione dei più terribili crimini contro l'umanità perpetuati in Saridan. Una vera vergogna per Mordusia, il cui buon nome sta venendo insozzato da questo baldanzoso mentitore seriale... già... un mentitore seriale, che temiamo affetto da una vera e propria incapacità psicologica nel trattenersi dal mentire, una spinta compulsiva alla menzogna.

TRIESTA - The Magistro-Leonardi's shipyards in Triesta still at work for Hawu Mumenhes and so next to the works for the orders from the Istalian Navy were also started the ones for the center-Artanian nation.

Will the President Massa's proposal of dialogue work? Criticism comes from the Radical Alliance which harshly attacks Manningam-Buller: "it is impossible for him not to lie! Psychological syndrome?"

Many analysts and defense experts have emphasized not only the trust that inspires the istalian technique and its reliability and resistance, but, speaking of geopolitics, have indicated the whole business as a clear sign of the convergence of intent between the Romula's Government and that of Nekhatw, especially in the Seleyano theater in light of the recent tensions between Saridan on one side and Hawu Mumenhes on the other.
Just talking about Saridan and the recent declarations of the local Head of State, a good part of the public opinion was skeptical about the nuclear capabilities claimed by Curtis Spencer and even the Istalian General Staff considers the threats as propaganda of intimidation pure and simple, considering extremely remote the possibility of developing nuclear weapons by part of the Saridanese know-how and industry, a skepticism confirmed also by the secret services that have also released a detailed analysis on the industrial and technical situation of Saridan showing a country in which the most developed industries are the agribusiness and maritime transport (oriented to the export of agricultural products) while the rest of the industry is rather backward and limited, with "technological excellences" supported by the state intervention, inter alia for propaganda purposes. Furthermore, the dossier pointed out that very important resources of the national budget are dedicated to national security and especially to the police forces dedicated totally to the defense and preservation of the Apartheid regime, the maintenance of the political and racial internment system, the repression and the control of minorities and of the enslaved masses, border control, etc ...

The new Istalian administration led by President Massa, however, seems for the moment to be oriented towards a search for diplomatic solutions to dampen the growing tensions with Saridan. Despite several praises for the peaceful and moderate approach, there have also been protests against Massa, especially by civil rights associations and the progressive electorate. In the front row of course Radical Alliance and in this regard one of the leading members of the party, Amina Bengazi, Chamber's Leader, expressed in this way the opinion of the party:

We understand how and why President Massa is trying to take the path of dialogue, on the other hand he is trying to calm tensions and preserve peace, but Radical Alliance can not avoid reprimanding the excessively complacent approach of the Head of State towards the Saridanese leader, a person who, without shame, calls "animals" and "sub-humans" millions of Saridaneses to whom citizenship is not recognized, considered as maimed, and therefore hundreds of thousands of people reduced to slavery! We expect a resolute negotiation from Massa and that focuses on the condition of these millions of persecuted and disinherited. Despite our wish for Massa, unfortunately we must also express all our skepticism towards the Saridanese Government: are they displeased to abandon their segregationist policies? Are they ready to abolish slavery and free thousands and thousands of innocents? Among them, we emphasize, there are also many children, enslaved with their communities or born from slaves as slaves. We hope that Massa takes this into account and that he has in mind what to ask.

Amina Bengazi then replied briefly to the journalists who followed her on the recent declarations by the Nationalist Mordusian leader Manningham-Buller on the activities of istalian corruption:

What is there to comment on? Only responding to the delusion of that person would mean giving too much importance and attention. He made himself ridiculous with the diatribe about the Valruzian Olympics and is making himself even more ridiculous about the Winter Olympics.
Rather, what we must condemn is the politics of hatred and discrimination that is spreading and the defense and promotion of the most terrible crimes against humanity perpetuated in Saridan. A real shame for Mordusia, whose good name is being defiled by this bold serial liar... yes... a serial liar, who we fear suffering from a real psychological inability to keep from lying, a compulsive drive to lie.

And so, the dialogue between the Staatspresident of Saridan, Spencer, and the President of Istalia, Massa, come to an end, as the two parties come to an agreement; the Istalian ships withdrew from Saridanese territorial waters, and Istalia won't participate in any conflict between Mordusia and Saridan; however, an agreement on the front of the camps was reached, too, as announced by President Massa. 8 mln people from the camps; all the Iftgoeroon, Ikpi and Homosexuals are to be released from the camps and transported to istalia, in a form of, as the Saridanse press called it, purchase by Istalia; the republic bought the 8 mln people from Saridan for 300 bln Lira, which will be paid to Saridan in annual installments of 5 bln over the course of 60 years. Antonio Massa already announced that he will work to create a new budget, and will ask Istalia's allies to follow in his steps and release the other groups, such as the Necrophiliacs, Mordusians, Dranians and the Canrillaise. It is noteworthy that the president didn't mention the Communist group, however that could have been a simple mistake. Another thing that people noticed is the president's huge change of heart as, in his early days, he was a member of the Istalian Alternative, a nationalist party, which most likely wouldn't support such actions.

Prime Minister Horizonte, however, strongly avoided commenting on the situation, and instead opted to simply say that he is happy that the republic will avoid a military conflict, and that he is working hard on building a coalition that will secure the annual 5 billion, that the republic has to pay.

FLORENZA, PADAGNA - On February 13, 4389 the primary elections of the Democratic Front were held, there were 3 lists to challenge: the list 1 "Socialists" led by outgoing President Piacente, the list 2 "Democratic Left" led by Pier Antonio Bersanio and list 3 "Rossiani" led by Nicolò Vero Rosso, the son of Lucio Vero.
The most recent polls gave the list 1 an advantage close to 65% but the actual figures below did not deliver such a large majority to Piacente even though it is an important victory for its leadership.

Reazioni al piano di Massa, Calenda: "Il Presidente spieghi come pensa di accoglier e gestire 8 milioni di persone! E con quali risorse?"
Tra i primi partiti a reagire, Alleanza Radicale solleva questioni cruciali quali la logistica per il trasporto dei rifugiati, la loro sistemazione in Istalia, il loro sostentamento e soprattutto la loro integrazione; dall'ala libertariana Amina Bengazi però propone un progetto faraonico

Simone Calenda seems very dubtful and skeptical

ROMULA - A poche ore dall'annuncio rilasciato dal Presidente Massa sull'accordo raggiunto con il Presidente Saridanese, il primo partito a reagire è stata l'Alleanza Radicale, il cui Portavoce Simone Calenda non ha potuto che esprimere tutte le preoccupazioni che un tale piano naturalmente può sollevare.
Il leader Radicali non ha messo in dubbio lo spirito di accoglienza e di compassione mostrato dal Presidente della Repubblica, ma ci si aspetta che altri partiti, in primis la Lega dei Cittadini, protesteranno con vigore contro quello che ha tutte le sembianze di un esodo di massa.
Simone Calenda, piuttosto, ha voluto indirizzarsi direttamente verso il Presidente Massa, ponendo precise domande ma anche sottolineando aspetti dell'accordo che sembrano siano sfuggiti al Capo dello Stato:

Signor Presidente,
la volontà di salvare così tanta gente è ammirevole e degna di lode, ma dobbiamo scontrarci con la realtà e dobbiamo metterci ad analizzare attentamente questo Piano di Salvataggio. Prima di tutto, Signor Presidente, come pensa il Paese dovrà affrontare il trasporto di 8 milioni di persone in un tempo relativamente breve di dieci anni? E dunque, domanda cruciale: dove ha pensato di alloggiare 8 milioni di persone? L'Istalia è il paese più popoloso di Majatra ed anche tra i più densamente popolati, dovranno essere edificate infrastrutture, molte ed in tempi brevi. Ma dove? E dove prendere le risorse, soprattutto temendo da parte sua una politica di tagli alla spesa pubblica? Inoltre, come affrontare l'integrazione di così tanta gente in pochi anni? Cosa faranno quando saranno qui? Come vivranno? Li stiamo strappando alla loro terra, benché per salvarli, per fargli inondare le nostre strade? I nostri vicoli? Per renderli dei senzatetto dispersi per tutta Istalia? I recoveri comunali e privati esploderanno mandando in tilt il sistema! Inoltre, sarà data loro la cittadinanza Istaliana, e se si, come pensa, Signor Presidente, di affrontare l'incremento subitaneo della necessità di assistenza sociale per quasi dieci milioni di persone? O vogliamo tenerli qui a tempo indeterminato come rifugiati? Magari ammassati in centri di accoglienza che dovranno necessariamente essere costruiti in tutto il Paese. Li vogliamo strappare da un campo di prigionia per metterli in altri campi da dove, benché nutriti e trattati con le massime premure, non potranno in pratica uscire? E torniamo ad una domanda banale: come sostenere finanziariamente questi campi? Magari il Presidente spera nell'intervento dell'Alleanza Majatrana per un'assistenza finanziaria? Ma almeno l'organizzazione è stata consultata? Le altre nazioni membri saranno disponibili a mettere a disposizione fondi per non-Majatrani? Temiamo sinceramente che con l'attuale congiuntura politica in Majatra una simile richiesta sarebbe velocemente respinta.
Di scenari se ne possono prospettare a decine, ma tutti necessitano di risorse davvero importanti ed un lavoro di logistica al limite del possibile!
E quindi, cosa pensa di rispondere, Signor Presidente, a tanti che già sappiamo si opporranno e non condivideranno questo piano? Nonostante non sia il nostro elettorato, non possiamo ignorare che un tale esodo genererà inevitabili problemi sociali e comunitari, come affrontarli? Mi auguro che da lei giunta presto una risposta Signor Presidente ed un programma nazionale per affrontare questo piano, un piano che, comunque, non possiamo esimerci da analizzare sotto ogni aspetto: miliardi di Lire entreranno nelle tasche del Governo di Saridan, come verranno utilizzati questi soldi? E se venissero utilizzati per programmi militari rivolti contro di noi, nostri alleati e paesi vicini? Non staremo facendo il gioco di Saridan? Ce lo possiamo permettere questo rischio?

Una lunga serie di domande alle quali AR chiederà regolarmente al Governo ed al Presidente di rispondere davanti all'intero Parlamento, ha annunciato il Capogruppo Amina Bengazi.
Proprio quest'ultima però, come leader dell'ala libertariana di AR, ha avanzato un progetto da molti definito semplicemente faraonico e poco probabile: la più grande comune agricola del mondo.
Entrando nel dettaglio, la Bengazi ha così descritto questo progetto che rientrerebbe nei programmi legati all'associazione delle "Comunità della Tolleranza", il cui primo esempio è sorto dalle ceneri di Angona post-terremoto e che sta divenendo un importante polo culturale e di sperimentazione sociale:

Queste persone qui dovranno avere assicurata una vita dignitosa, protetta dalla povertà, l'abbandono, l'ignoranza ed il degrado ma allo stesso tempo dovremmo chiedere troppo ai nostri cittadini per sostenere un'adeguata assistenza a questi rifugiati. Ma allora, rendiamoli utili e produttive queste persone, diamogli anche una speranza per il futuro, educhiamoli ma allo stesso tempo apprendiamo da loro e sfruttiamo le loro conoscenze. E cosa chiedere ad un contadino se non di lavorare la terra? Queste persone sono la spina dorsale dell'industria agroalimentare Saridanese! Alcuni li vedono come meri manovali, ma sono molto di più! Sanno seguire un campo e la coltivazione e la cura di una piantagione! Tra l'altro, moltissimi fino a poco tempo fa non erano schiavi né tantomeno discriminati, per un periodo non proprio brevissimo Saridan ha sperimentato un sistema sociale moderno basato sull'eguaglianza di ogni uomo ed all'epoca l'Istalia ha investito molto proprio nell'industria agroalimentare locale e possiamo dirvi che la maggior parte degli agricoltori in Saridan appartengono a quelle minoranze oggi tra le più discriminate, poiché i "bianchi", come piace essere chiamati, d'altronde sono latifondisti, molti da generazioni e sono sicura che tanti tra di loro non sanno nemmeno come coltivare al meglio ciò che producono.
Immaginate dunque questa massa di contadini in una grande comune dove ognuno avrà un proprio appezzamento di terreno e dunque tantissimi terreni in cooperativa con gli altri rifugiati! Potremmo sperimentare la coltivazione del caffè Saridanese addirittura ma in generale creare un polo produttivo agriculturale di milioni di persone! Immaginate?
Noi offriremo loro educazione, servizio sanitario, servizi sociali, loro tonnellate di prodotti dell'agricultura, che potranno rivendere anche autonomamente sui mercati nazionali ed internazionali e dunque ripagarci con importanti introiti!
Sarebbe un modo per rendere anche per loro meno problematico e stressante il processo di assimilazione, venendo qui ma iniziando a fare quel che già facevano. Sappiamo di molte persone appartenenti a queste etnie che precedentemente la restaurazione dell'Apartheid erano agronomi, piccoli proprietari terrieri, ma anche botanici!
Immaginatevi una città dell'Agricoltura che emerge dal verde delle culture! Immaginatela al centro della Piana Nicomese! L'Associazione delle Comunità della Tolleranza è pronta a presentare il progetto al Governo come anche a fondazioni private ed istituti di investimento! Non vogliamo lasciare abbandonate a loro stesse queste persone!

Ovviamente anche la proposta dell'ala libertariana di AR è stata bollata come impossibile da realizzare dato l'immenso quantitativo di risorse richiesto, ma d'altronde, ha risposto Amina Bengazi, tantissime risorse dovranno comunque essere dispiegate per affrontare l'arrivo di 8 milioni di persone.

Reactions to the Massa plan, Calenda: "The President has to explain how he plans to welcome and manage 8 million people! And with what resources?"
Among the first parties to react, Alleanza Radicale raises crucial issues such as logistics for the transportation of refugees, their accommodation in Istalia, their livelihoods and above all their integration; the libertarian wing's leader, Amina Bengazi, instead, proposes a pharaonic project

ROMULA - A few hours after the announcement by President Massa on the agreement reached with the Saridanese President, the first party to react was the Radical Alliance, whose spokesperson Simone Calenda could not but express all the concerns that such a plan can naturally rise.
The Radical leader has not questioned the spirit of welcome and compassion shown by the President of the Republic, but it is expected that other parties, primarily the League of Citizens, will protest forcefully against what has all the appearance of a mass exodus.
Simone Calenda, rather, wanted to address himself directly to President Massa, asking precise questions but also underlining aspects of the agreement that the Head of State seems to have missed:

Mr President,
the will to save so many people is admirable and worthy of praise, but we must clash with reality and we must carefully analyze this Plan of Rescue. First of all, Mr. President, how do you think the country will have to face the transport of 8 million people in a relatively short time of ten years? So, crucial question: where did you think to house 8 million people? Istalia is the most populous country of Majatra and also among the most densely populated, many infrastructures will have to be built in a short time. But where? And where to get the resources, especially fearing by your part a policy of cuts in public spending? Also, how to deal with the integration of so many people in a few years? What will they do when they will be here? How will they live? Are we tearing them from their land, though to save them, to make them flood our streets? Our alleys? To make them homeless dispersed throughout the whole of Istalia? The municipal and private shelters will explode by tilting the system! Furthermore, will they be given the Istalian citizenship, and if so, how do you think, Mr. President, to face the sudden increase in the need for social assistance for almost ten million people? Or do we want to keep them here indefinitely as refugees? Maybe stored in reception centers that will necessarily have to be built all over the country? Do we want to get them out of a prison camp to put them in other camps where, although fed and treated with the utmost care, they will not be able to go out in practice? And back to a trivial question: how to financially support these reception centers? Maybe the President hopes in the Majatrana Alliance's intervention for financial assistance? But at least the organization was consulted? Will other member nations be willing to make funds available for non-Majatrans? We sincerely fear that with the current political situation in Majatra such a request would be quickly rejected.
We can foresee dozens of scenarios, but all require really important resources and a work of logistics to the limit of the possible!
So, what are you thinking of answering, Mr. President, to many who already we know they will oppose and will not share this plan? Although it is not our electorate, we can not ignore that such an exodus will generate inevitable social and community problems, how can we deal with them? I hope that soon we can receive an answer Mr. President and see a national program to address this plan, a plan that, however, we can not fail to analyze in every respect: billions of Liras will enter the pockets of the Saridan Government, how these money will be used? What if they were used for military programs against us, our allies and neighboring countries? Don't we risk to play the game of Saridan? Can we afford this risk?

A long series of questions to which AR will regularly ask the Government and the President to respond before the entire Parliament, announced the Whip Amina Bengazi.
But the latter, however, as leader of the libertarian wing of AR, has advanced a project by many defined simply pharaonic and unlikely: the largest agricultural community in the world.
Going into detail, the Bengazi described this project that would fall within the programs linked to the association of the "Community of Tolerance", whose first example arose from the ashes of post-earthquake Angona and which is becoming an important cultural and social experimentation pole:

These people, here, must have secured a dignified life, protected from poverty, abandonment, ignorance and degradation but at the same time we should ask too much from our citizens to support adequate assistance to these refugees. But then, let's make these people useful and productive, let's give them hope for the future, let's educate them but at the same time let's learn from them and exploit their knowledge. And what to ask a farmer if not to work the land? These people are the backbone of the Saridanese agri-food industry! Some see them as mere laborers, but they are much more! They know how to follow a field and the cultivation and how take care of a plantation! Among other things, many until recently were neither slaves nor discriminated against, for a period not very short Saridan has experienced a modern social system based on the equality of every man and at the time Istalia has invested very much in the local agro-food industry and we can tell you that most of the farmers in Saridan belong to those minorities today among the most discriminated, since the "whites", as they like to be called, moreover are landlords, many for generations and I am sure that many among them they do not even know how to best cultivate what they produce.
So imagine this mass of farmers in a large town where everyone will have their own plot of land and therefore many land in co-operative with the other refugees! We could even experiment with the cultivation of Saridanese coffee, but in general create a productive agricultural center formed by millions of farmers! Imagine?
We will offer them education, health service and social services while they will give us tons of their agricultural products, which will also be able to resell independently on national and international markets and therefore repay us with important income!
It would be a way to make the assimilation process even less problematic and stressful for them, by coming here but starting to do what they already did. We know of many people belonging to these ethnic groups that formerly the restoration of Apartheid were agronomists, small landowners, but also botanists!
Imagine a city of agriculture that emerges from the green of cultures! Imagine it in the center of the Nicomese Plain! The Association of Community of Tolerance is ready to present the project to the Government as well as private foundations and investment institutes! We do not want to leave these people abandoned to themselves!

Obviously the proposal of the libertarian wing of AR was stamped as impossible to achieve given the immense amount of resources required, but then, said Amina Bengazi, many resources will still need to be deployed to address the arrival of 8 million of people.

Dopo la reazione apparentemente pacata di Calenda, buona parte dell'elettorato progressista è sceso in piazza per protestare contro il Patto con Saridan


ROMULA - Nonostante la risposta del leader dell'Alleanza Radicale sia stata piuttosto pacata e sia sembrata aperta ad un compromesso con il Capo dello Stato, in verità molti hanno visto nell'infinita serie di domande da parte di Calenda, che ricordiamo a ricoperto per anni il ruolo di Ministro delle Finanze e di Primo Ministro ad interim, semplicemente un modo piuttosto "elegante" per sottolineare come il piano proposto da Antonio Massa sia semplicemente inrealizzabile.

Velerio Mastrantonio, invece, Segretario del Comitato Coordinativo Nazionale di AR, non è stato altrettanto pacato quanto Calenda, la cui tranquillità potrebbe essere attribuita al fatto che sotto consultazioni per la formazione di un nuovo governo non vuole alienarsi le simpatie dell'ULD. Mastrantonio ha sottolineato infatti cosa già abbia scatenato il patto con il diavolo stabilito da Massa:

Massa e l'ULD non stanno facendo altro che affondare la reputazione Istaliana! Un partito di isolazionisti e codardi, che preferisce coltivarsi il proprio orticello chiudendo gli occhi di fronte al resto del mondo e che si disinteressano anche degli amici e degli alleati!
Cosa pensa di rispondere Massa ad Hawu Mumenhes? Il Presidente rischia di vedere il proprio piano fallire e rischia di far perdere all'Istalia un alleato importantissimo quando Hawu Mumenhes!
E mi chiedo io perché Massa e l'ULD siano tanto pronti a sperperare tanti soldi per accogliere così tanta gente! Temiamo sia solo una mossa per avere in poco tempo 8 milioni di lavoratori a bassissimo prezzo, con grande piacere di molti latifondisti ed imprenditori! Questo sarebbe in effetti il modo più facile per "non affrontare" questo esodo! Lasciare queste persone divenire preda di approfittatori, sfruttatori e dei grandi capitali!
Calenda, benché abbia fatto solo domande, ha chiaramente spiegato invero come sia impossibile affrontare un simile esodo di massa senza rischiare di destabilizzare micidialmente l'intero paese!
Per concludere, pretendiamo che il Piano di Massa venga sottoposto al voto del Parlamento dato che si tratta di un accordo internazionale! La Lega dei Cittadini sarà tanto disponibile ad accogliere 8 milioni di non istaliani e di persone che, obbiettivamente, provengono da realtà sociali degradate ed impoverite? Saremmo disposti a lavorare anche con la Lega se questo impedirà questa pazzia e questa vergogna per la reputazione del Paese! E per questo dico a Calenda: Caro amico, speri in un accordo con chi vuole far affondare il Paese? Rischi di perdere il partito, sappilo!

La reazione di Hawu Mumenhes, di fatti, non ha tardato ad arrivare, ed è stata piuttosto risoluta e decisa nel criticare fortemente il Piano di Massa mentre il Consiglio del Nord sembra pronto a portare assistenza ad Hawu Mumenhes ed all'Impero Esinsundo Empire, con serie ripercussioni per il ruolo dell'Istalia sul piano Internazionale come paventato da Mastrantonio che aggiunge:

Con la sua prima proposta Massa rischia di distruggere secoli di reputazione e di impegno internazionale dell'Istalia!

Protests against the Massa's Plan
After the apparently calm reaction of Calenda, a large part of the progressive electorate took to the streets to protest against the Pact with Saridan

ROMULA - Despite the response of the leader of the Radical Alliance has been rather calm and seemed open to a compromise with the Head of State, in truth many have seen in the endless series of questions by Calenda, we remember he covered for years the role Minister of Finance and interim Prime Minister, simply a rather "elegant" way to underline how the plan proposed by Antonio Massa is simply unattainable.

What do you think to answer Massa to Hawu Mumenhes? The President is likely to see his plan fail and threatens to make the Istalia lose a very important ally like Hawu Mumenhes!
And I wonder why Massa and the ULD are so ready to squander so much money to welcome so many people! We fear it is only a move to have in a short time 8 million workers at a very low price, with great pleasure of many landowners and entrepreneurs! This would indeed be the easiest way to "not deal with" this exodus: namely let these people become prey to exploiters, exploiters and big capital!
Calenda, although he has only asked questions, has clearly explained how it is impossible to face such a mass exodus without risking to kill the whole country deadly!
To conclude, we demand that the Massa's Plan be submitted to Parliament's vote as it is an international agreement! Will the League of Citizens be so willing to welcome 8 million non-Istalians and people who, objectively, come from degraded and impoverished social realities? We would be willing to work also with the League if this will prevent this madness and this shame for the reputation of the country! And for this I say to Calenda: dear friend, do you hope in an agreement with those who want to sink the country? You risk to lose the party, know it!

The reaction of Hawu Mumenhes, in fact, has not been slow to arrive, and has been rather resolute and decisive in strongly criticizing the Massa's Plan while the Northern Council seems ready to bring assistance to Hawu Mumenhes and the Esinsundo Empire, with serious repercussions for the role of Istalia on the international level as feared by Mastrantonio who adds:

With his first proposal, Massa risks destroying centuries of international reputation and international commitment!

Senator Ernesto Revara (70), secretary of the Communist Party between 4367 and 4384, has been kidnapped this morning during his walk to work. The two agents of his escort have been killed by the kidnappers; the few witnesses of the kidnapping said that Revara was brutally taken on a white Fiat, which then ran away towards the Romula suburbs. A flyer with hammer and sickle painted on it don't leave any doubt: the growing Red Brigate terrorist organization is responsible of this act of cowardy; in the text, the criminals talk about "the betrayal of the communists ideals made by Revara, which recently met the approval of the traitor Pizzo, who for reasons of power renunced to his revolutionary ideals. This is just the first act we will take against the capitalist and bourgeois regime of multinationals. Every false communist is no more at safe: the Red Brigade is coming to take Istalia." The communist secretary, called in scene both by the terrorists and the president, talked at lunch hour in a separated conference: "I'm shocked by this notice. Ernesto is not just a fundamental figure in the recent years of the istalian history, not only a party collegue and my predecessor, but also a friend. Of course we had even harsh discussions in the past, but as you've seen in these crucial years, the dialogue between our ideas has always been productive. The Communist Party has never betrayed the workers and will always continue to fight for them: I have never and will never supported any form of individual terrorism to change society, but just a mass movement to take power. This morning we saw a cruel bloodbath and my thought goes to the families of the two brave men who died defending our beloved collegue. I won't say any other word. I hope with all my soul that Revara will be freed rapidly and without any other useless act of cruelty. The Red Brigate is not communist: the brigatists are vile criminals!" Thousands of communist militants are already in the squares to condemn the terrorist act and calling for the liberation of "Secretary" Revara.
