Istalian Armed Forces next to move from the historic base in Baltusia
Evolution of the Istalian relations in North Seleya: cooling of relations with Baltusia but the Bontempi's administration had already started intense dialogues with the Grand Republic of Lodamun

ROMULA - The love story between Istalia and Baltusia has been among the longest and most profitable of all the recent history of the "Bel Paese" but recent developments in relations between the two countries could decree its end.
In fact, following a recent interest by Baltusia to ratify the Northern Council Treaty, the Bontempi's administration had pressured to avoid such an event, especially since the Northern Council had been indicated in Baltusia as a champion of the cause of the defense of Democracy in the world, a position strongly rejected by Istalia, and in particular by Bontempi, supported in this by Vanuku, following the intervention in favor of the Deltarian socialist dictatorship of two nations currently among the most prominent of the Northern Council, Lourenne and in particular Kazulia, who on the other hand has repeatedly stated that this decision had been disconnected from the logic of the Northern Council.
Bontempi has repeatedly replied to such an answer, considered as a justification, saying that the most advanced nation of the NC, as well as a permanent member of the Security Council of the World Congress, considered by many to be the leading nation of this alliance, brings on the shoulders also a role of principal representative of that organization which, fearing the Istalian Government, could also be used to support oppressive and anti-democratic regimes.
The Bontempi's administration, however, faced with hostile responses from the Baltusian Government, even offenses addressed to the Istalian people (for which the local Democratic Party was sued by the State which constituted as injured person in the face of the Baltusian justice), had immediately started dialogues with another Seleyan nation, Lodamun, with which it promises an important economic and commercial treaty and therefore an agreement linked to the Defense on which, however, there is still not too much news but which should clearly guarantee to Istalia its important position in the northern hemisphere: in fact, the Puerto Vallejo's Istalian Naval Base (at the time Porto de Oro) could be closed and so the Seleyan Strategic Group moved in Lodamun.
On the economic side, however, Istalia, through its Strategic Investment Fund, will become a prominent partner of Lodamun, offering important financial contributions to support the recent Lodamese national project on the maritime transport sector. Moreover, Lodamun would seem interested in attracting one of the main Istalian companies (indeed Istalo-Selucian), the Hasan-Aeductus World Shipping, which could install one of its most important international hubs in Lodamun. Moreover, it would appear that HAWS could test in Lodamun the HAWS' NLS, "New Logistics System", a terminal built according to the dictates of a new highly automated management system designed for years by the maritime transport giant to reduce the loading and unloading time of ships and obviously optimizing costs. The terminal will provide cranes and container displacement systems that will be fully automated and remotely overseen by a single central control center. Also the logics related to the spaces and the storage of the containers have been affected by the deep study by the shipping company.

Istalia enters the second half of the century between economic recovery and political tensions
Despite the country is leaving behind the years of economic depression, civil society is shaken by the strong ideological clash between the most extreme positions on the political scene

Between attacks, street clashes, assaults and murders, the news related to the radical uprooting of the istalian political scene are increasingly occurring in newspapers and televisions, a situation that scares many citizens who declare how an atmosphere defined as "of Lead" has fallen on civil society.
The ideological clash with Deltaria has in fact heavily influenced the Istalian society, animating on the one hand several leftist orthodox extra-parliamentary movements, however linked to the Communist Party, and on the other hand triggering the counter-reaction of far-right militants and also of many moderates, concretely frightened by the "red menace" in the center of Majatra, a threat, which instead criticize many at Left, it was indeed generated by the paranoia of a large part of the parties in the liberal and "moderate" political landscape, accused of reactionaryism and being oppressed by a bourgeois ideology that grips Istalia.

But if into the Right this "red threat" has easily allowed the cementing of a compact anti-communist front, which put together liberals, conservatives and the Far-Right (recently reunited in a government led by the ULD), this situation could generate on the Left, instead, very serious tensions, given that within the Popular Front it is not
a mister the contrast between the Radicals, the rightmost wing of the Popular Front, and the Communist Party, which has strongly approached to the Party of Istalian Socialism, with which AR found itself in total contrast precisely about Deltaria and the socialist regime established there.

With Deltaria, several analysts expect the establishment of a prolonged period of tensions and relations at the edge of a Cold War, and many are those who fear that this could make internal political conflict grow and persist. On the Right, moreover, there are not a few people who fear to see the PC strongly sponsored by Deltaria and a possible haunt of "traitors" and collaborators, "a party to be outlawed" say some and to which the Communists respond with accusations of political persecution and witch hunt.

It is expected a really hot season for Istalia: will the next administrations achieve to manage a country that is so fractured politically or the opposing barricades will clash stronger and harder?

BREAKING NEWS: Also Istalia has declared war on Zardugal
The declaration of war against Zardugal has been accepted almost by a plebiscite and with the dissolution of the Conservative Authoritarian Party a National Unity Government is now expected

ROMULA - It is therefore official: also Istalia is officially at war with the Augustine Empire of Zardugal and ready to take the field alongside Cobura, Vanuku, Cildania and then volunteers from many countries, not only Majatran ones.
The Ministry of Defense has stated that it has already been proposed the creation of an Allied Common Supreme Command that will bring together the forces of the Majatran Alliance under the command of the Coburan General Staff flanked by the Defence Staff of the other belligerent nations.
In addition to the 20 thousand men already sent to Cobura, the Ministry of Defense has announced that it has started the preparation of an expeditionary force of about 50 thousand men who will be transported to Cobura both by air and sea.
The forces already present in Cobura for the moment have joined the Coburan forces while the two Aeronaval Groups have limited themselves up to now to the defense of the Coburan coasts but now also the two supercarriers of the Navy and therefore all the other naval units present on site are authorized to engage the Zardic forces directly. A third Air Naval Group is preparing to leave for the Coburo-Zardic waters so that Istalia will find itself taking the lion's share on the sea, as well as in the air being able to take off dozens of fighters and bombers.

A meeting of the Defence Staff of the belligerent forces is scheduled for the next few days to finalize the creation of the aforementioned Allied Common Supreme Command while the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been issued a communication this time addressed to Deltaria, which a few days ago expressed its closeness to the Zardic cause:

The Istalian Government could not but expect such a move on the part of the Deltarian government, a decision that can only worsen the already severely cracked relations between our nations.
Moreover, Deltaria does not risk worsening its relations only with Istalia, but it risks to stand against a large world consensus that clearly condemned Zardugal and the actions of its reckless government.
To conclude, due to the state of belligerency of the country with Zardugal, we inform the Deltarian government that any attempt to send aid to Zardugal, of any kind, will be hindered by all possible means by the Istalian Armed Forces present in Cobura.

President Juliana Vespa-Baldassare announces that current term will be her last!
The President intends to go out with a "bang"!

The President of the Republic and PND Leader Juliana Vespa-Baldassare, after the retirement of the former Prime Minister Cecilio Barzetti who will be remembered as the Istalexit Prime Minister, has also announced her intent of retiring after the current legislative term. However, she is not done yet; this is what the President said in the latest conference:

Ladies and Gentlemen,
I am old, that I even forget - or want to forget - my own age. However, I have four years more of duty to fulfil in my now third term as President of this glorious nation. BUT! I will not sit out the next four years, leaving all affairs to this liberal prime minister, I will leave with a bang, and hopefully, accelerate Istalia's recovery. I will go down in the history books, not only as the President that led and was victorious in the Istalexit campaign, following the experiment at the expense of Istalian citizens that was the MUN, not only as the President who reinvigorated the Majatran Alliance, maintaining relationships with our key allies Vanuku, and not only as the President who led the PND to being one of the top 3 parties in Istalia. I will be the president, under which Istalia returns from the ashes economically and militaristically! The markets are already improving, which probably hurts the communists a lot since it was our reforms 4 years ago which led to this. But to accelerate that, Istalia will go to war with Zardugal for the safety of the Majatran continent as the actions of that pseudo-empire have awoken the sleeping lion that is Istalia. We will show our claws and annihilate that threat to Majatran stability, sending out a message of strength to anyone who wants to undermine us, specifically Deltaria and their petty communists. Istalian commies deserve respect and my party is doing everything to hold them at bay. Deltarian communists deserve no such respect. Going to war not only gives me a successful war to boast with in front of future generations but it will greatly help with economic recovery and unemployment, as war creates jobs - outside of the army too. You have technological advancements, clothing, food etc. all these sectors of the Istalian economy will benefit from the war. Jobs create income, income creates consumption, consumption stimulates the economy lifting finally Istalia out of the crisis once and for all! We will ask for compensation from Zardugal by the end of this too and moreover, after a corrupt regime falls, an Istalia-friendly regime will allow for mutual benefit.

I ask of Parliament, governing parties and opposition alike, to support this endeavour for the bright future of the Istalian Republic so I can retire knowing that Istalia is in peace and prosperity.
Long live Istalia!

President Juliana Vespa-Baldassare will definitely retire as a hero of National Democracy, but the opinions of her as a public official are very polarising, and she definitely should not compare herself with President Rosso, who was a hero of Istalia.

The Official Press of Radical Alliance

Bontempi and Yassen retire, the National Committee will lead the Party until the next Congress

ROMULA - After years of silence by the National Secretary of the Radical Alliance, the long-awaited news of an evolution in the leadership of the party has finally arrived. For 40 years, in fact, despite the National Spokesperson had always remained Aghar Yassen, the role of true leader of the party in the last twenty years had been hired by Camilla Bontempi, Secretary of the National Committee.
Today, with the news of the official retirement of the nowadays old Yassen, also Bontempi has been forced by the Committee to leave any managerial role while the Vice-Secretary of the Committee, the young and recently appointed Giovanni Massi, appointed as Spokesperson ad Interim, a position which, however, will have no pre-eminent role with respect to the Committee which will collegially lead the party until the next Congress, the first called to elect the leadership in 40 years.
Many have recently complained of the long leadership of Yassen-Bontempi team, a "problem", or characteristic if you want, which has always affected the Party and its predecessors. Given the Yassen-Bontempi conflict that characterized this very long term, which however was managed very discreetly between the two with an effective handover in the middle of Yassen's mandate thanks to the mediation of the National Committee, and in light of the criticism to how democratic is the choice of the party leadership, it is expected that soon the Committee will present a modification of the Party Statute that provides for a maximum limit of 10 or 15 years of leadership, a change that is expected will be approved unanimously by the next Congress.

Speaking of the next leadership, the most probable candidates are all little known to the public, remained in the shadow of Bontempi who for years has limited the visibility of possible opponents. Among these, however, stand out Nicoletta Feltri, former Minister of Justice and exponent of the wing of the Social Democrats, and Alessandro Morandi, exponent of the newborn "Marranan" wing, a fervent anti-communist and above all a convinced supporter of classic Social Liberalism and in fact he is inspired by the great leader of Liberty and Progress and great President of the Republic Filippo Marra.
If the first is certainly the candidate supported by the allies of the Popular Front, close to both the Democrats and Socialists, the second is definitely badly seen by the center-left coalition, too close in the economic to the liberal positions and especially among the most critical about the Communists.

Current electoral Logo of the Popular Front

The Popular Front is preparing to face the upcoming elections
After the dissolution of the Communist Party, the Popular Front presents itself with its proposals for the next parliamentary term: investments in maritime connections with the rest of Majatra, a National Plan to support small and medium-sized enterprises and reorganization of the taxation in a more progressive sense and adequate to the needs of the budget

ROMULA - Radical Alliance announced this morning that it will again support the candidate of the Party of Istalian Socialism inviting the colleagues of the Democratic Front to do the same.

Moreover, from the AR secretariat has been announced the measures that the Popular Front wants to put in place during the next parliamentary term and which will see an important series of investments by the state on the territory.
Among the priorities mentioned are: a program to develop the main ports in the Sarrentina peninsula and on the island of Alaria to increase the maritime connections with the other Majatran nations. The Popular Front proposes to invest in the construction of new generation cargo and passenger terminals in the ports of Genevia, Angona, Nepuli, Vinesia, Palerno, Calliari and Ulbia and then coordinate with the other Majatran nations for the creation of some joint-venture to fund new navigation companies specialized in rapid transport of goods and passengers on large ferries. It is not excluded that the initiative will be framed within the programs of the Majatran Alliance that could guarantee part of the investments in Istalia which in turn will propose similar investments for the adaptation of the infrastructures also in the other member Countries of the Alliance.

Another proposal of the Popular Front, put forward by the Radical Alliance, is a measure to support small and medium-sized enterprises that would see the state intervene above all on the funding side to guarantee credit to new initiatives and therefore funds to small or medium-sized businesses that struggle to compete in the market against the competition of large industrial and commercial groups.
The proposal provides solutions to facilitate access to credit, solutions to facilitate access to the markets and therefore solutions for the training of workers and increase know-how.
The State, however, will not simply propose itself as a lender, perhaps through direct subsidies or tax incentives of various kinds, but also and above all as a promoter of Venture Capital Funds and Collective Financing initiatives (Crownfunding), as a promoter of advertising initiatives to increase visibility on the markets of the economic actors involved and therefore as a promoter of training, formation and workforce allocation programs, probably at the regional level, which will increase the relationship between the working world and schools and thus facilitate the meeting between demand and offer in the world of work, following and assisting workers looking for jobs and employers looking for skilled workers.
The Radical's secretariat announced that this proposal was built on the basis of a similar initiative recently adopted in Beiteynu, as evidence of the good relations now firmly established between Romula and Yishelem. In general, however, it must be said that within the Majatran Alliance many istalian political exponents travel among the various nations of the organization to strengthen ties as well as to learn from the experiences of political, economic and commercial partners.

Finally, always Radical Alliance proposes to the allies of the Popular Front a tax intervention that reintroduces greater progressivity in taxes, especially taxes on companies and therefore those on sales, both luxury and non-luxury goods. For Radical Alliance, in fact, now that the crisis is now behind us, the country must start again to ask all citizens for the numerous public services that the state guarantees them, public services that, despite the short experience of past governments of the Right, they have been fully re-established by the leftist and state interventionist majority of recent legislatures and who need adequate funds.
The national budget, in fact, for too long has been in deficit, a necessary situation that in recent years has allowed the State to face the serious economic crisis of Majatra and that recently has returned to grow in the light of the rapid reintroduction and expansion of state services, especially related to welfare.

A few months after the elections, after a long term that saw extremist parties collapse in the face of moderate party agreements, the Popular Front is preparing to present itself to the electors with what has been defined as the first and veritable post-crisis socio-political government program.
