The Patriotic Socialist Party of Istalia, which is the largest party in Istalia's legislature, has been urging other parties for the formation of a popular Democratic government against the forces of conservatism. Our party has the trust of a considerable amount of Istalian voters to invest ourselves into national governance and to govern the country for socialist construction.

We seek to develop currently a progressive and patriotic economic system best delivered through successful legislative reforms and their proper implementation.

The PSPI currently is cooperating with the Democratic Party of Istalia and seeks to co-operate with all the parties of the legislature to tilt the economic allocation of resources in favour the country's majority serving the patriotic needs of our Republic.

Our Party is opposed to monarchy and we believe that only a good self-reliant socialist governance can deliver the needs of a democratic patriotic republic in the fullest sense possible.

PSPI comes third in elections, but alters it's electoral agenda

The Istalian Patriotic Socialist Party, headed by Com. Ludovico Ziccardi, has performed poorer compared to the previous elections, resulting in PSPI securing the 3rd position in the 5436 elections. The performance although positively recieved by PSPI itself, however recieved criticism from others who claim that such results became the reality as the PSPI was unable to capitalise it's electoral campaign based on a constructive and solid programme.

In response, PSPI has held it's Executive Council Meet which was followed by several meetings at the Party's regional and local level bodies. In the meeting of the Executive Council, the electoral results of the PSPI was viewed as beginning of a new era in the Party's electoral struggles and actions.

A new agenda has been adopted under the Ziccardi's leadership which has mostly muted or neutralized the Party's strong stances on economic policies in favour of socialization or Government control and instead has decided to cooperate with private enterprise in exchange of accepting workers' rights, decent wages and encouraging the formation of Democratic Workers' Councils at workplaces and businesses across the country.

However, PSPI has confirmed that the Party's historic mission is to establish socialism in Istaly by any means necessary but however such a goal would follow the current peculiar realities of the Nation which demands a different kind of leftist struggle apart from the demand from total socialization of the economy.

PCN likely to go into coalition with the PDI

The National Conservative Party has announced it's willingness o go into a so-called 'coalition of reason' with the Democratic Party of Istalia headed under the PCN's premiership. The dual standard of PCN hence comes forth to the nation as their sole purpose is rather than formulating constructive national policies, is to contain the PSPI.

The PDI is yet to respond but it would be comical for the Party if it accepts to form a PCN headed Government since it has always been the Party that thwarted the attempts of PCN in instituting conservative reforms in the country. However PDI also showed it's duality when Patriotic Socialist Party of Istaly (PSPI) wanted to form a government with PDI which PDI simply rejected.

The bipolarization of Istalian politics, a process that has continued for over a decade, is now getting more profoundly exposed, as we, the PSPI is solely opposing the attempts of PCN at this time. Istaly really is following the footsteps of a two party democracy system which would be detrimental to national development.

PDI and PCN together are willingly running their 'Coalition of Reason'

Well in March 5438, PDI agreeing with PCN's proposal, a coalition government in Istaly has been formed and functioning through the best exposition of the incompetence of the two currently ruling parties. The Istalian Masses are currently seeing the doublefaced nature of the so called 'conservatives' and the 'democrats', the unholy regressive coalition, that serves as an impediment towards a healthier national development. The PSPI is currently functioning as the only genuine opposition parties opposing this crony alliance of the PDI and the PCN and exposing the invalidity of these two parties' electoral manifestoes.

The PSPI, by taking into account this shameful and comical political scenario, has decided to wage in greater vigour more mass struggles and actions against the government to thwart it's support base and power and restore the political dignity of the Republic of Istaly. Our confidence in ourselves, our faith in our beliefs, can only help us achieve a healthier national governance.

PSPI and PSI goes together to pass pro labour reforms despite sharp differences in their party lines

The Patriotic Socialist Party of Istaly (PSPI) and the Socialist Party of Istaly (PSI) formed together Istaly's coalition Cabinet in December of the year 5441 after several discussions and negotiations. It is well known that the current programme of the PSPI is clear to destroy the bourgeois welfare state of Istaly by initiating landmark populist market oriented reforms in the spirit of market socialism in order to boost a new type of socialist revolutionary movement of the future while the PSI wants to establish a new socialist mode of governance by not only preserving the current rotting welfare state mechanisms but also to construct a democratic socialist society upon the basis of a welfare state.

However, despite the differences in Party programmes, Comrade Ludovico Ziccardi looked forward towards a socialist alliance Between the two parties in order to replace the so called PCN-PDI's 'Coalition of Reason'. The PSPI and PSI went together ahead in order to pass laws for increasing workers' rights in the workplaces by empowering the trades unions and mandating of Democratic Workers' Councils in businesses. The laws shall pass by the month of September of the year 5422.
