New Government


Finally after a couple months of independent ex-republican government, the new government has been voted in finally ending the restoration process of the legitimate government of Lourenne. "We are happy to announce that we have finally agreed to ministers and have established our own government." - Leopold Curie, the Prime Minister. The party leaders said that government would be in the time being the least on their minds as without majority the ministers can do little. They also mentioned that continuing to right the constitution, changing laws and funding building projects and a renewal of the military are a larger priority than hold governmental positions. The party also mentioned that it is making progress on its other agenda which includes establishing a utopia in Lourenne. Lourenne has already become a Social-Democratic nation which the state controling some aspects of the nations economy. "Capitalism has failed, and we do not want to see this as so in Lourenne" - Leopold Curie, Prime Minister. As the reforms progress it is important to note that Lourenne is still constantly attempting to reform its diplomatic ways. "If countries refuse us, we will gladly look upon ourselves. It is important to note that Lourenne can perfectly become isolationistic and we will resort to that if need be." - Leopold Curie, Prime Minister.

Armed Forces Reformed

Deemed "The most modern and effective military of this century" the Lourennian military became what it is known as today. After reforming and creating certain branches, Lourenne has created currently the most modern and technologically advanced military in the world. The Ministry of Defense launched a project to build and construct modern and effective weapons of war for the defense of Lourenne if such is needed. In addition, thousands of men voluntarily joined the military in an attempt to serve their country. "These men standing in front of me and listening to me, are the best men this country and world has to offer. Hopefully, this great men will never have to taste war, hopefully." - Leopold Curie, Prime Minister - said as he addressed some 10,000 men ready for the military parade and another couple hundred in front of their televisions.

As the paraders marched the Ministers and Prime Minister became proud of their accomplishments as one reports. " We have successfully restored the monarchy, created a military that we can all proud of and reformed the country, and started major public building projects, social benefits and a better economy. What else is there left to do but be proud? "

SAINT-PIERRE, ALVIUM (RBCL) - King Liam Branigan I spoke to the public today in Branigan Palace. The King addressed many changes he is looking to see happen in Lourenne. He annouced today that due to the recent transition in power that until the next election(or if a sooner date can be determined) there will be no Assemblyman serving in the (new) Grand Assembly of Lourenne. The Grand Assembly, was the first change made by King Liam I upon his ascension to the throne. He also annouced plans for introducing a new flag and that as soon as it was to be accpeted by the global community, the country would be known as the Royal Kingdom of Lourenne. In addition, King Liam I, who recieves full support from the Lourenne Royal Party, plans on working with Assemblymen(as soon as they are elected) to make many changes to the Laws of the Land.

SAINT-PIERRE, ALVIUM (RBCL) - Today, the news was released that King Liam Branigan I, has become very ill. Today while walking in the garden of the Royal Palace, the King reportedly collasped. No word on what caused the King to collaspe has been let out. the RBCL will keep you updated as soon as we recieve more details.

The newlywed Grand Duke & Duchess of Alvium share their first public kiss as Prince & Princess of Lourenne
SAINT-PIERRE, ALVIUM (RBCL) - Only just days after the secret engagement of Prince Fallon Branigan & Layne Spencer, the wedding took place. Details of the wedding are scarce as no media was allowed to the wedding, and only royalalty of Lourenne and Spencer's family were to be involved. The newlywed, Prince and Princess however made a public appearance on the balcony of the Branigan Palace to share a kiss.

SAINT-PIERRE, ALVIUM (RBCL) - After many months battling illness, King Liam I has passed. This is shocking news as his eldest son (and heir apparent) was just recently married. The offical cause is not known, and it seems we will never know. When the King collasped a couple of months ago, the reason was never released and at this moment, this seems to be the same case. HRM Queen Maureen will assume control of the nation until the Grand Duke & Duchess of Alvium are ready to assume power. This is a sad day for the Royal Kingdom of Lourenne as once again, King Liam I, has passed away. He was 54.

MONT-ROYAL, KRESHAR (RBCL) - Today, Lourenne Royal Party member and current Minister of Defence, Steven Kasich, held a news conference addressing the recent uprising of the French Party and explained why Lourenne ended their existing alliances with Kanjor.


Minister of Defence, Steven Kasich spoke today at a press conference held in Mont-Royal.

Steven Kasich(talking about Kanjor):
"Recently, the Action Kanjorienne Party, the governing party of Kanjor has decided to try to stick their noses into the Royal Kingdom of Lourenne's business. Now had they been approve to do such, or if we were still in alliance with them it might have not been such a big deal but we in fact are no longer in a alliance with them and they did not have permission. They accuse the House of Branigan of being a illegal monarchy when if you look back in history, King Frédéric II and his family have came to power nearly the exact same way the only difference being, King Frédéric II is french. So Kanjor, Action Kajorienne, let this be a warning to you, if you continue to make verbal attacks againist the Royal Kingdom of Lourenne, and by attacking His Royal Majesty King Fallon and the House of Branigan verbally they are verbally attacking Lourenne, there will be consequences."

Minister Kasich briefly addressed what seems to be a rebellion by the French Party.

"If they are looking to create some type of rebellion to restore a french monarch, let them... we will proudly use our Royal Military to put down any rebellionb against King Fallon."

SAINT-LEO, ALVIUM (RBCL) After a dissappointing December election, a shattered Republican Party stumbles to regain ground in the nation they held for nearly the past 7 years. Newly elected President Steven L. Kasich spoke at a Republican 'rally', but turned out to be a grieve meeting. Here is a small exerpt from President Kasich's speech:

President Steven L. Kasich:
"The unfortunatancy of these happening is almost unforseeable. The people are making a great mistake in giving power to a monarch-hungry party, and we are now set with virtually no chances to stop them... We took a big, big hit today ladies and gentlemen, but that does not mean we cannot stand up and fight once more... You 23 Assemblymen and Assemblywomen who were able to hold on to your seats or the new comers who retained that seat for the Republican party, We have 6 years together to make this thing right again, and if another big hit happens, we shall absorb or we shall suffer...(but) We need to make sure the people know what is really happening, if another crushing blow is delievered to us a monarchy will be established, and the people will no longer be free... but keep your hopes up, because we have been given a small chance by the people to make this right, so lets use it."

The Peoples Revolution Party led by Keith Tillery took charge of the nation with only 15% of popular support. The PRP is the only party in the nation and conducted the elections to once again restore government to Lourenne. The PRP is a party of wealthy large landholding individuals and they have vowed to make Lourenne a haven for land owners.

As promised the PRP has already begun massive reforms. The Constitutional Reforms of 3240 will strip all non-land owners of citizenship, eliminate the court system while empowering the Executive Branch, increase the powers of the police and most importantly the reforms in the bill will Legalize Slavery. The PRP has argued that Slavery could provide a massive boost to the economy of the nation while improving the lot of all citizens. It should be noted that if land owners are the only citizens then legalizing slavery may improve their life but only by putting the problems on the backs of a new slave class and lower class that will arise from the reforms. The PRP has vowed to use all neccessary force to push foward. President Tillery has announced he is currently working on a budget plan that will allow the nation to maintain the kind of military that is needed for defense in todays world
