This morning, the Royal Ministry of Defense announced that the LNS Georges Jacques of the
Lourennais Second Response Fleet fired two warning missiles at Kalistani ships who approached
the Lourennais Frigate just a few miles off the coasts of Ananto. Members of the LNS Georges
Jacques claimed that they were able to identify several small vessels and a frigate patrolling the
coasts of Ananto. Shortly after, the smaller vessels appeared to approach the Lourennais frigate
however, members of the Georges Jacques believe the crew of the smaller vessels may have been
taunting the ship. In response the Lourennais frigate fired two missiles at the ocean. This response
comes after the Kalistani navy introduced new vessels into its militias and its regular navy. The
Royal Minister of Defense claimed that their actions, including the mobilization of their militias,
are signs that the nation is preparing to go to war. The Minister stated that the Royal Navy as well
as the other branches of the Royal Armed Forces are prepared for mass mobilization when the time
is necessary.

Chancellor Position

Eroncourt, Joviant: This morning final votes are being counted in Région Arloux after the first round of elections in
Lourenne ended in an effort to elect the new High Chancellor of the kingdom. Current High Chancellor, Marinette
Depaine, is stepping down after four long terms as High Chancellor. Depaine, part of the center-right faction of the
National Royalist Party, endorsed Claudia Cesaire, for the High Chancellor position. Among others Claudia Cesaire
appears to be the favorite over all the other candidates who were on the ballot. Jean Luc, Xochitl Valferra, Joel
de Vernon, and Marie Isildon were all part of the ballot as well and each part of their respective faction within the
NRP. Xochitl Valferra part of the Orinco Faction and the Social Democratic faction came in second place last night
way ahead of Jean Luc of the Social Liberal faction, Vernon from the Right faction, and Isildon from the Centrist
faction. Vernon, Isildon, and Luc were not able to pass the 30% threshold needed to move on the the next round of
voting next year. Next year's election will be between Xochitl Valferra and Caludia Cesire. The next election will be
a test of ideology and a test for the largest minority in the country, the Orinco peoples. Valferra, on her campaign,
has promised that she will expand several rights for Orincos in Lourenne as well as protect Orinco and other minority
workers from the "unfair" policies the center-right faction has upheld for years. Cesaire promised status quo growth
and success that has been prominent in Lourenne for decades. Lourennais citizens are anxious for the next election.
Will numbers reach the record established during the Orinco Movement? Or will citizens decide to keep things the

Eroncourt, Joviant: Members of the Eroncourt Gateway Stock Exchange (EGSE) reported massive gains in the nation's
stock market this afternoon as private companies in Lourenne have begun to re-emerge from the shadows after a period
of silence following the Removal of the once Emperor of Canrille. Companies have begun to work on the NIRMI Project
which has since stalled. Lourenne's green sector by far the largest in the world, has begun new project s in the nation's
schools providing sustainable classroom and providing renewable energy to power up buildings. The green sector however
has put most of its attention towards the NIRMI project which will include an upgrade in all of Lourenne's current "green
sites" including several hundreds of solar panel farms, wind turbine fields, hydroelectric plants and dams, as well
geothermal stations throughout most of the nation's rural areas. The tech sector, another of one Lourenne's largest sectors,
is beginning to release new products and like the green sector they have begun providing schools with several products
to ease and facilitate both teaching and learning in the country. Capet-Fouquet Industries and Noriege, the leaders in
Lourennais shipbuilding and port-building, have set apart resources for the upgrade and modernization of Le Port D'Artaine
(Valois' major trading port) and Parmentier's Orleans Naval Station Base which is a port for the Royal Navy and for

Xochitl Valferra wins High Chancellor Election as country is back on track

Eroncourt, Joviant: THistory has been made once again in Lourenne this evening as Xochitl Valferra was officially
declared the new High Chancellor of the nation after defeating Claudia Cesaire in an extremely close election. Valferra
made history by becoming the second Orinco-Lourennais woman to be elected to as High Chancellor. The first Orinco-
Lourennais woman to be elected into the High Chancellery was Akna Secnatiel several years ago during the Orinco
Movement that fueled a record-breaking Orinco turnout in elections ans sparked the rise of social democracy in the
United Kingdom. After the election last night, results showed a very polarized nation.There was a massive Orinco turnout
in the nation's large cities, but not comparable to Secnatiel's run. Massive turnout for Cesaire was seen in the cities rural
areas and suburbs, however it was not even to beat Valferra's numbers in large metro areas. Political analysts used exit
polls from the election to see what people are most worried about. 68% of the electorate was worried about the economy
and similar percentages were worried about Lourenne's waning position on the international stage. However, during her
victory speech, Valferra promised that the Lourennais economy will rise back to its former strength as well as its military.
Considering the nation has already begun to quickly improve, analysts have stated that Valferra will likely see a surge in
popularity as the economy strengthens and more focus is put on infrastructure, energy, and the military.

Entreprise Des Defenseurs releases new logo and list of upgrades
for Lourennais Royal Ground Component

This morning Bernard Frenault the CEO of Entreprise des Defenseurs, Lourenne's largest defense
company, held a press conference at the company's headquarters in Parmentier regarding the
future of the company as The Royal Armed Forces' main weapons/vehicle provider. Frenault
stated that the Royal Assembly, under the new leadership of Madame Speaker Beaubon, have
begun to talk to the company in an effort to re-transform the Lourennais armed forces into a
global fighting force which hasn't been fully achieved since the reign of Philippe I. Frenault stated
that the company will provided new infantry vehicles including the LeClaire-10 battle tank and
the AXOL infantry fighting vehicle. The company will also work to replace the ground component's
aging transport vehicles and its main anti-aircraft vehicles. Entreprise Des Defenseurs will be
working closely with other companies in Lourenne which are part of the Canrillaise Defense Enterprise
to ensure that the ground component is fully re-modernized and replenished with new,modern
vehicles and weapons.Other companies of Canrille Defense Enterprises such as Capet-Fouquet
Industries, Systemes Aeronol and Groupe Axol have stated that they will also work with the Royal
Assembly to re-modernize the Royal Armed Forces however, these companies will hold their own
press conference to announce the projects they will be taking on. According to the Royal Ministry
of Defense, members of the ministry are preparing a budget proposal for the Royal Assembly to
insert into the national budget to fund these projects. The companies, many of which are private
will begin working on these upgrades as soon as the Royal Assembly passes the new budget.
