Defense Budget Increases, Royal Naval Forces expansion begins
Construction on 10 Delaune Class Frigates has begun in Outannais
The Royal Assembly has proposed a new budget that includes an increase in the Ministry of Defense. A proposed
30 billion LFR increase is expected to roll in come May. With the proposed increase in the ministry, the Minster of
Defense, with support of her advisers, have created a large proposal to increase the total size of the Royal Naval
Forces. A detailed plan has been laid out that will increase the number and strength of the naval forces. A deal
has been established with Industrie Capet-Fouquet and Asvald Gruppen Maritime and Pennington-Reid for the
construction of Lourenne's first aircraft carrier. However, considering no project of significant size such as an
aircraft carrier has ever been built in Lourenne, Capet Fouquet Industries will be sourcing assistance through
the Kazulian firms Asvald Gruppen Maritime and Pennington-Reid. The aircraft carrier is expected to be built at
Orleans Naval Station base in Parmentier. Blueprints of the carrier are yet to be released, they are however similar
to the Indralan Carrier plans. Construction on the carrier is expected to take multiple years.
The proposal has also called for the construction of 10- 15 Delaune Class frigates. The Delaune class frigates were
introduced in the late 4460's and a couple of the were sold to Valruzia for over 1.6 Billion LFR. The Dekaune Class
frigates will also be built in Parmentier, but they will also be built at Le Port D'Artaine in Valois. A detailed second
part of the plan has not yet been released, however, it is expected that the construction of Parmentier Class
Destroyers is expected to be part of it. Other ships are expected to be built such as upgraded Renault-Class patrol
ships and the construction of assault landing pads as well. The Ministry of Defense has stated that once the ships
have been completed "they will be analyzed for effectiveness and tested in the waters of the Anantonese Ocean
all within Lourennais waters near Valois and Parmentier".Construction has begun in Parmentier and Valois on the
Delaune-Class frigates. Capet-Fouquet Industries have not released a timeline of the completion of the ships.
Construction on the aircraft carrier is set to begin next month in Parmentier.
