Ruprekt Zuiderlaand, a dockworker at the seaport of Saridan's capital is a happy man. He smiled when we interviewed him and he laughed about reminisces about the uncertainty of employment during Komittee van die Nasionale Herstel rule. "Its all in the past now," he says to our correspondents. He told our correspondents that during the KvdNH days, many dockworkers were out of jobs due to what was essentially a ban on international trade and on the rare occasion that ports were up and running for domestic cargo transportation, shipping lines were sidelined into providing extremely low prices in order to compete with ground transportation. These factors very detrimentally harmed his pay and his family's standard of living. However now, with Istalia as a major trade partner, and other countries as trade partners, he handles large shipments every day and due to scheduling certainty due to cargo traffic, he is able to take holidays with his family and get his wife and child healthcare. He says he no longer worries much about week to week expenses, and he is now able to save for retirement.

Stories like this are all too common in post-dictatorship Saridan. The country's predominantly agricultural economy, which largely depended upon international payments and deals for cash crops like coffee, tea, and cotton, saw major cutbacks due to the halt in trade. Many farmers had to leave groves of coffee and tea groves untended, while grain prices skyrocketed due to a lack of international competition. However now Saridan has had increased trade due to coffee and tea deals with Istalian firms such as Lerrero S.p.A. (A food, chocolate, and confectionary company in Istalia, Farilla (a food processing company), and San Remigio S.P.A (a soft drink maker), amongst other brands and energy concerns, as well as financial services. Trade income is up nearly 100% since the KvdNH left office, and the standard of living has improved by a significant degree.

As a consequence of improvement in trade, the government has been able to increase the allowances in the budget, and is planning on investing in the navy and port infrastructure prominently, in order to improve Saridan's commercial and military clout in Seleya.

Although Saridan Has Greatly Improved Human Rights, Situation Is Still Not Ideal

The Republic of Saridan was once synonymous with human rights abuses and supression of political and civil freedoms, however, it has improved today, but not nearly to the point of the world average. While the die Hosian-Demokrate/Liberale vir Seridjan Coalition government has created a situation in stark contrast to the humanitarian situation under past fascist Saridaner regimes, such as the recent Komittee van die Nasionale Herstel/Alt-Right Alliance dictatorship, the current administration has been slow to enact certain reforms, and some of their critics, both in the infanously abusive KvdNH and ARA, but also international human rights groups, think the current government is neglecting to protect and even occassionaly blocking certain freedoms.

While the National government of Saridan has been given a 9.5 out of 10 score for racial equality and minority includion, the Human Rights Council, which makes the scorecard, states that less than would be ideal has been done to enforce and ensure racial equality and fair treatment in certain private sector industries, and some local governments have taken to harassing minority applicants and citizens, especially in areas which normally support the KvdNH and ARA politically. LGBT Rights, while homosexuality is not condoned strongly by most Saridaners and this paper, has been rated as slightly improved, as the government will soon no longer actively search for and root homosexuals from the military, and while sodomy remains a de-facto crime, the government has not been enforcing he laws on consensual sodomy or acts committed in private, and seem only to be using it to increase penalties against sex-offenders. LGBT rights was rated at 4 out of 10 for Saridan, which is defined as a "poor LGBT rights situation for a developed country". It was previously rated as 2 out of 10 or "Average for an Underdeveloped country". The country has also greatly improved in its ratings for refugee and immigrant rights, with a 8/10 score for the government. However, factoring in hostility and widespread acceptance of fascist views by certain sectors of the population, the general society score has been lowered to 6 out of 10, or "an average or slightly above average situation for a developed nation."

Yet the situation for other things is hardly fantastic. Karl deGroen, of Human Rights Council Saridan (Saridan's local branch of the International Human Rights Council) said "certain government actions and campaigns have been spotty, while we often encourage and recommend restrictions on hate speech and displays of symbols that connect to authoritarian or racist historical events and themes, Saridan's government has attempted to force KvdNH and ARA members to publicly recant pro-apartheid and pro-dictatorship views." In terms of Free Speech, Saridan was rated at 2 out of 10 during the KvdNH dictatorship, and was upgraded to 8 out of 10 directly after the election of Oosthuizen and formation of a Hosian-Democratic and Liberal coalition government, but was downgraded to 6 out of 10 for the zeal with which the government intended to enforce hate speech laws. Further, the government has received some criticism for the way justice has been carried out. While many international watchdogs support the Prokureur-Generaal's (Attorney General) and Ministry of Justice's work to prosecute apartheid-era dictatorship officials for crikes against humanity and various murder charges, some internal critics claim that the coincedence of these investigations and cases often line up with appointments of accused criminals to high-ranking positions in opposition parties. In addition, many far-right individuals claim that they feel unsafe and are frequently harassed by public officials and government supporters who know about their views, however the opposite has been claimed by government supporters living in areas that largely supported the apartheid regime.

The Corruptie Uitroeiing Agentschap (Corruption Extermination Agency), a division of the Ministry of Law and Justice has been investigating points of concern relating to government corruption as points of the Human Rights Council report dictate. Agency Director Leendert Marais said "it seems that issues mostly stem from the local level, and our frequent communication with the rest of our Ministry has dictated with only slight doubt that the prosecutions and investigations of war-criminals are lawful and not politically motivated or corrupt."

New Trade Deals Enrich Saridan

The die Hosian-Demokrate (dHD)/Liberale vir Seridjan coalition government can likely count as its proudest achievement in government, alongside the ending of apartheid, its strong promotion of international trade. While Detente and special trade relations with Istalia have failed through political means, the government has essentially done all in its power to go around the legislature to use legal administrative means to make trade in Saridan more lucrative, for example by granting lucrative excise reductions and priority in cargo handling and ship refueling to Istalia's shipping and product firms, such as Hasan Aeductus World Shipping. Furthermore, a trade deal with Solentia is likely to pass soon, as could one with Mordusia. These trade deals would bring in a great deal of cargo traffic and demand for Saridan's primary exports, such as tea, coffee, cotton, and agriproducts

ARA Layout Manifesto Ahead of Election

In a speech given to a packed crowd in the nation's capital last night, ARA leader H.W Randburg has delivered His party's manifesto ahead of the election in August. Many are calling the manifesto a 'revolutionary change', and much praised was heaped on Party Leader H.W Randburg for the way he delivered the speech, with many labelling his speech as inspirational. Candidate for the Ministry of Interior J.F Strydom took to social media straight after the speech and posted: "Wow what an amazing speech, it made me swell up with patriotic pride. It's about time we elect this great man!" Many political pundits believe that the manifesto speech will sway the polls in the ARA's favour, with SBC political analyst Willem Pienaar saying: "Love him or hate him, we have to admit that Randburg's manifesto speech for the ARA is a game changer in this election." The manifesto included the following:

The Economy
The ARA have adopted a more centrist style when it comes to their economic policies, with a mixture of tax cuts and tax increases. The ARA have proposed to lower corporate taxes to 3 percent, while lowering income taxes to a flat 12 percent. The ARA have however, proposed to increase luxury goods tax by 10 percent, this is in order to fund their plan of subsidising college tuitions for those in low income and poor households. The ARA have also proposed to incentivise large white Saridani families by proposing welfare increases to those who decide to have three or more children, this is being proposed to increase Saridan's White population. In probably their most important proposal, the ARA have promised to drastically and immediately crack down on foreign workers by only allowing foreigners to work in jobs where the government has determined there is a labour shortage. This is being proposed in order to protect Saridani workers who have been devastated by the influx of foreign workers. The ARA have also promised to build government funded homeless shelters in order to deal with inner city homelessness, these will exist alongside private homeless shelters.

Foreign Policy
The ARA, in expected fashion, have vowed to cut off all ties with Istalia, by promising to withdraw from the treaty of diplomatic relations with Istalia that was ratified by the current Oosthuizen administration. With the withdrawal of the treaty, the ARA have promised to re enter the Koeistad pact, with ARA leader H.W Randburg saying that Saridan needs stronger ties with it's 'real friends'. The ARA have also promised to have close ties with the Davostag empire, the Yuedish Republic, and Cildania, who Randburg described as his 'anti globalist friends'. The ARA have also expressed interest in banding together an anti Istalia and anti globalist league of allies in order to combat globalist infiltration. The ARA have also vowed to ban all refugees from entering the country, and have also promised to deport all illegal immigrants.

Trade
The ARA have vowed to enact smart protectionist trade tariffs. This being done in order to prevent Saridan becoming an importation nation, which many Saridanians feel is the case under the dHD Government. The trade tariffs won't apply to all products imported, but only those which can be made in Saridan. This will in turn, encourage Saridani companies to buy products from Saridan and will keep and create many jobs for Saridan's manufacturing workers.

Military
The ARA have vowed to increase the military budget by 80 billion SAD, in order to drastically modernise and upgrade the nation's military. The upgrades will include new high grade military equipment such as, state of the art fighter jets, aircraft carriers, battleships, and nuclear warheads. The ARA have promised to make Saridan into a military super power, citing it as a necessity in order to deter globalist enemies. The ARA have also proposed to legalise torture against foreign and domestic terrorists, as well as foreign soldiers and spies during a time of war.

die Hosian-Demokrate Rethinks Ideology After Miserable Election Performance

The Hosian-Democrats have had their shares of wins and losses in the past few years, controlling the office of the Staatspresident for a term, and several crucial cabinet ministries since 4218, and putting up a considerable part of the opposition prior to that, they have always been a considerable voice. But now is the first time since their 4206 founding that they do not have a large number of seats in the Volksraad, only winning 32 districts, and most troublingly, losing what was considered their historic stronghold in Tassellstaat to the far-right Saridan National Party. Internal dHD voices are upset with some in the party leadership for their embrace of neoliberal policies, and unflinching support for capitalist economic policies, which party orthodox have largely claimed is a betrayal of Hosian-Democratic values of free and fair trade, worker initiative, subsidiarity, and local governance. As a result, likely in an attempt to save his leadership over the party he founded, Oosthuizen has launched a manifesto called "Hosian Social Justice", which is to serve as an attempt to guide the Party's policy decisions during what should be a difficult next four years

The Economy
"Hosian Social Justice" suggests that the party will be moving in a slightly more regulatory direction generally on economic matters. This manifesto states that "the worker, the farmer, and the middle class and wealthy all have important roles in society and obligations to other classes." It is suggested that thought will be given to instituting more progressive tax brackets, likely lowering taxes on the predominantly agriculturally-based working class and the middle class, while slightly increasing taxes on the rich. This is believed to be a method towards incentivizing consumer spending and stabilizing standards of living amongst struggling farmers and agricultural workers. The document also suggests a move towards a slightly lower luxury goods tax and a slightly higher corporate tax rate, in order to promote spending on luxury goods and discourage luxury good manufacturers and trading firms within Saridan and dealing with Saridan from producing and trading luxuries at levels worryingly above demand, and to make those commodities more broadly affordable.

In addition, the economic portion strongly suggests that while trade policies will still be largely free-trade, there will be more skepticism and scrutinization of potential deals and the nations deals are made with, to determine that they align with party principles of "trade that is both free and fair." It is also said that more will be done against monopolies, and that all corporate subsidies are to be dependent on the strict need of industries and industrial treatment of employees and clients.

The document also calls for major expansions of transportation and energy infrastructure, especially in rural areas, to improve the efficiency and quality of supply chains, and to improve economic conditions and viability for remote smallholders and towns. The party also recognizes the social right to organize unions, but also affirms that professionals and management have rights to trade and professional organizations, and it posits a skeptical position about the morality of closed, and union shops.


Foreign Policy
'Hosian Social Justice' portrays a foreign policy that has differed on a number of points, but strikes a similar tone. A key statement is "while international trade and alliances with powers have opened many doors to us, we have not focused nearly enough on good relations and trade with our immediate neighbors, Mordusia, and Aldegar, and our Seleyan continent in general." This signals a shift from former policy emphasizing international relations with powers like Istalia and Kazulia, although it is asserted also within the document that Istalia and Kazulia are friends and a dHD government will continue to view and treat them as such. The document also proclaims the dignity and rights of all people command respect, mercy, and aid to refugees, and immigrants, although in a groundbreaking manner it asserts "the global refugee crisis is not the sole domain of Saridan, while we are obligated by our Ameliorate values and social value of solidarity, we recognize that other nations caused this crisis with conflict, and they should do more to alleviate the trials these people face looking to find a new home in a safe land. We are doing our part, but is a land where resources may not be enough to keep everyone prosperous really a good place for someone to flee to?"

The document also firmly advocated increasing spending on foreign affairs, so that all of its offices could be bolstered, more policy research could be conducted, and crumbling installations could be improved or repaired. It called the poor state of embassy maintenance in some missions abroad "a disgrace to Saridan on the global stage."

Defense
The new dHD defense position isn't very distinguishable from the old one. It essentially calls to enforce a higher standard of moral conduct amongst the troops, and supports more defense spending, especially to update the navy

Domestic Policy
"Hosian Social Justice" calls for a greater degree of government and corporate accountability to each other and the poor and middle class of the country. While it upholds subsidy policies in many industries, it declares that "cooperation between government and private sector is necessary to provide real relations of subsidiarity and mutual accountability in vital infrastructure and media; areas that require efficiency, lack of bias, and truth." As such, the manifesto calls for government control of vital aspects of airport, rail, and seaport management, but to allow the private sector an important role as a check and a support for economic initiative. The manifest also calls for personal subsidies, setting a different course than the party's previous emphasis on corporate subsidies: "More should be done to alleviate the burdens the middle class and working class face, burdens that perpetuate racial disparities and crime." Then it is suggested that transport will be more subsidized, at least for low-income citizens and middle class citizens, and that more will be done to give high-acheiving agricultural and industrial workers and their children tools to advance, such as socioeconomically weighted tests for selective schools and subsidized job training.

Hosian Social Justice also calls for continued opposition to racism and apartheid friendly parties and policies, and calls for peaceful resistance of government workers tasked with their upholding, citizens, and the military to such policies. The manifesto also calls for more subsidy of healthcare while compensating employers to a certain degree and unions that provide a decent standard of healthcare to their members. The manifesto declares full support for the Church, and is willing to tighten moral laws to adhere more closely to doctrine

Strydom Elected Staatspresident as ARA Win Election

Alt-Right Alliance Leader James F Strydom has been elected as Saridan's new Staatspresident in a stunning election victory. Strydom edged out former Staatspresident and LvS leader Sem Heynis by just over 1.2 million votes in the second election round, making him the next Staatspresident of Saridan. Strydom comes into the job with a wealth of experience behind him. He was the former executive director of the Saridan Intelligence Agency for 14 years, from 4207 to 4221. In 4222, Strydom became Saridan's Interior Minister, holding the position for 8 years before being elected Staatspresident.

Strydom ran a campaign mainly on economics, vowing to get Saridan out of debt. He also promised to rejoin the Koeistad Pact, citing it as a necessity for national security. The ARA also managed to pick up 133/355 seats, making them the largest party in Saridan. It's been a long time coming for the ARA who were once the largest party in Saridan for many years under former Staatspresident Dewald Liebenburg. But since their re founding, they were unable to gain the support they once had, until now of course. Saridan has high hopes for new Staatspresident James F Strydom, who comes into office at a time of economic difficulty for Saridan. He is a man with charisma, confidence, and major popularity among Saridani voters. What Saridan will look like after the Strydom years is anybody's guess. But one thing is for certain, the entire country is rooting for his success.

Randburg Elected, Vows To Confront Globalist Aggression.

Former business mogul and foreign affairs minister Rex Randburg has been elected as the new Staatspresident of Saridan. Randburg comfortably defeated his opponent Adrian Mussert of the UVO by more than 8 million votes to take the office of Staatspresident. In his victory speech, Randburg echoed a major campaign promise, to confront Istalian and globalist aggression. This was met with loud cheers from the crowd, who have felt that former Staatspresident Richard de Koch was more words than action when it came to Istalia's unethical behavior. Randburg gained a lot of attention from the international community and a lot of support from Saridanians after his explosive comments about Istalia and it's allies at the World Congress meeting a few months ago. Randburg has pledged to spend an extra 50 billion SAD on improving Saridan's Military, which would fundamentally revolutionize Saridan's Military capabilities. Along with state of the art fighter jets, Saridan's military budget increases will go on expanding it's nuclear weapons program, with an estimated 400 extra nuclear warheads expected to be built and purchased. Overseeing this massive expansion will be Saridan's most decorated General F. W. De Boer who was appointed by Staatspresident Randburg as the new Minister of Defense. The election of Staatspresident Randburg will certainly see Saridan become one of the world's major military powers. What this will mean for Istalia and it's globalist allies is anybodies guess. But one thing is for certain, the election of Staatspresident Randburg will fundamentally change world politics. Whether it's for good or bad, we shall wait and see.

The Ecumenical Bureau of the Central Congregation of the Scionist-Socialist Party-
Headed by Calvinist-Communist Party founder and Secretary Sister Miriam Godwinson, the "Ecuburo" is the highest organ of the Scionist-Socialist Party. It convenes bi-annually to review policy and ideaological purity in the actions conducted by the Holy Supreme Congress and the Peoples Ecclesiastical Court. It reserves the power to overturn or properly interpret any and all actions and decisions of the lower organs. The EBCC also conducts the annual Party Predestination Arrival Review, wherein all Scionist-Socialist Party members are assessed for their fulfillment of their predestined ideological glory in the prior year.

The Holy Supreme Congress-
Responsible for all legislative decisions, the Holy Supreme Congress consists of all 4,239 predetermined Party Members (as uncovered by the EBCC). In accord with Scionist wisdom regarding Unconditional Election, all members are beholden to the Party Scripture and all members proven to be failing in their predestined ideological glory are replaced ("recton'd") during the annual Party Predestination Arrival Review. The Holy Supreme Congress convenes 6 days a week, with the chambers closed on the Sabbath.

The Peoples Ecclesiastical Court
Responsible for interpretation and enforcement of Scionist-Socialist Party laws, decrees, screeds, mumblings and inquisitions. The Peoples Ecclesiastical Court consists of 9 Scionist Monks, appointed to 20 year terms by the Secretary of the Scionist-Socialist Party, and meets to settle all interpretive disputes of scripture and party practice. The Court also serves to settle all court cases deemed constitutionally-concerning.

Randburg Missing, Government in Standstill & No One Seems To Mind

Another day dawns, another barn is raised and another government lies in ruin. Such seems to be the fate of the glorious united government of the National Socialist Workers' Party and the Alt-Right Alliance. Reigning from 4135 to 4285, this "Thousand Year Reich" found itself so efficient it needed but one hundred and fifty years! Nevertheless, the backward Duntrekker peoples won't soon forget the many social and economic programs implemented by the mighty government. Who can forget the forward thinking Cleanse The Impure Act of 4145, which saw the mass deportation of all three non-white Saridani citizens?

Though the Alt-Reich Regime was not without its opponents, small-minded and short-sighted though they were. The notorious Fury in the Fields rebellion of 4177 saw several hundred Duntrekker fanatics sabotage the expanded armor divisions. "They be stompin' through the fields, messing with the wheat and all. We don't much like it none, so we peed on 'em" cried the subversives before being mowed down by our brave boys in black. With such heinous protest is it any wonder that Staatspresident Rex W. Randburg is believed by this writer to be kidnapped or dead?

Dear Lost Soul,

Hello. This is the LORD. We haven't spoken in a while. We see that many of you have lost your ways and begun to worship the false powers of Man. Alas, this was predestined for many of you and many of you shall face eternal hellfire as such. Please consider this brief pamphlet a reminder for the Saridani and an explanation of the Tasselist faith for outsiders.

We are Hosians, through and through. Yet we do not adhere to the perverse faith of the Holy Luthori Church. We Saridani, we Duntrekker, are of the Tasselist denomination. We of The Believers in the Lord are Leonidist-Metzist Tasselists. Our Faith is tempered by the scientific sociological principals of Dialectical Materialism. It can be complex, we admit, so we have developed an easy means of remembering our five basic tenants - T.U.L.I.P.

T - Total Depravity
Man is a carnal being, draped with the soiled rags of his sin. The key argument against Metzist ideology is that man is naturally inclined towards Capitalism by his greed, lust and hedonism. This is indeed true, yet it need not be celebrated. We can attempt to become - and in brief moments find grace by being - a soul in service of the LORD. However, we never know the true desires of the LORD. We must act in good faith towards the will of the PARTY and accept that, at any moment, we may be found to be lacking and needing of corrective actions.

Again, this is the faith that we preach, because it is Biblical, because it is the faith of our Fathers, living still in our hearts, and because it gives the LORD and his representatives in the PARTY all the glory!

L - Limited Atonement
Consider the Confessional Ameliorate Church of Dundorf, or any other false church of Hosianism. They claim that Eliyahu was crucified as a sacrifice and in doing so he paid the debts of all our sins. Why then does Man still walk this wretched Earth? Let us look again to scripture -

John 10:11: I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

ONLY the sheep of the LORD are saved by his Crucifixion. Only those obedient and loyal to the whims of the LORD, as represented by the decrees of the PARTY, shall be saved in Atonement of their natural depravity. We know there exist Dogs, seeking to prey upon the Sheep. We know there are Pigs, seeking to make profit from their wool. Do not be deceived by these beasts.

I - Irresistible Grace

The will of the LORD cannot be resisted. History has been written in the material conditions of the past, present and future. The will of the LORD, the will of the PARTY, shall not and cannot be denied. Consider Acts 9:6

And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.

Those who enter into the city, those who enter into the PARTY and its innards, shall toil for the LORD. Those who have be predestined for salvation shall find it within the PARTY and its actions. Those who are purged have been predestined to be purged.

P - Preservation of the Saints
Though it is natural, in our depravity and sin, to question the infallibility of the PARTY we would do well to remember our scripture. As it was written in John 10:28 - And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. Such is true of the high-ranking PARTY members and clergy of the nation. For it is by their being High-Ranking that they have proven and shown their good grace in the eyes of the LORD.
