In 3507 a treaty was drafted in Luthori, though at the time not taken seriously, would eventually gain momentum at the start of the decade and is currently gaining attention in Mordusian and International Politics. The treaty called "Non-Recognition of the False Governments of Rebel States" and sets tight restrictions against the governments of Mordusia and Aldura and declares the Emporer of Luthori the official head of state in Mordusia. While this is true the Government of Dundorf has reached out to the people of Mordusia and Alduria declaring that should Luthori gain legitimate control of Mordusia and Alduria, the people are free to take refuge in the country. Zardugal has also offered its support along with signing members of the South Seleyan Defensive Agreement. In a recent poll it was found that 62.5% of Mordusians hold a negative view of the Emporer of Luthori and nearly no one believes they have any control at all over Mordusia. The media has held a huge backlash at the country of Luthori and last night late night Mordusian political pundet Mordus Mordus dedicated his entire show to them. The episode went viral in minutes:

The Nation Backwards Nation Moving Forward?

Deltaria has been known for centuries as the nation as the nation ravished by war, poverty, and slavery. The Nation has gone through different governments and regimes and throughout the ages it has been a nation of disaster. But recently, world leaders have begun to recognize the progress that is being made in Deltaria today.

In an interview yesterday on Good Morning Mordusia, Chancellor Marcus Lyle made some very controversial comments on Deltaria:

You know Deltaria has come a long way since the war. Deltaria is now relinquishing more control to its colonies and is revoking its recognition of petty imperialist claims like those of Luthori. Though slavery is despicable, Deltaria has made great progress since our last evaluation at the time of the slave ship sinkings. And though they've always claimed a sort of "Endentured Labour" instead of calling it slavery, they actually truly are moving more toward that and I'm excited for the possibility of emancipation of slaves in Deltaria over the next 50 years. Civil rights in Deltaria is also at an all time greatness for them as they are loosening the bonds between the overriding government and personal responsibility. I am looking forward to the possibility of working with Deltaria more and seeing them grow in international prominence and as a country.

A recent polls shows the attitude of Mordusians toward Deltaria in 3500 during the war at 2% aproval and now at 37 % with 30% disproving and the remainder unsure.

Complete Deadlock in Mordusian Chamber of Delegates'

With the recent hiatus of the Socialist Democratic Union as well as the Moralistic Idealism Party, the Chamber of Delegates sits an angry madhouse. The majority party, of which holds the office of Chancellor in addition to their seats, the right-wing Black Mordusia, has attempted to unite the right-wingers in a cabinet coalition. Due to the deadlock -- between the Legitimists, a far-right reactionary Monarchist party, as well as Black Mordusia, staring down the equally-seated Occupy Mordusia, a people's action party on the far-left, as well as the Mordusian Worker's Party, a socialist party.

Already, it has become clear that no decisions will be reached as of the last cycle of bills. The progressive cabinet coalition was blocked by the right-wingers, and the conservative cabinet was blocked by the left-wingers. With the recent legalization of paramilitaries, the capital itself has begun to look like a warzone, as men in uniforms patrol the street-corners, handing out pamphlets.

Left Wingers win back Chancellorship; right wingers hold one seat majority

The recent elections have left both sides frustrated. The Independent List -- Civic Voice, a liberal party, picked up the most seats, going from none to 19. Following them, the Mordusian Workers Party also picked up the Chancellorship and has 18 seats. Behind them sit the largest right-wing party, the Moralistic Idealism Party, a socially conservative moderate party which ran its candidate to the second round and narrowly lost the elections to the MWP candidate. The next party, the extreme Légitimiste, a monarchist and traditionalist party, now sits at 13 seats and a powerful position among the right. Occupy Mordusia, yet another left wing party, lost several seats and now sits at 11. The LIBERTAD Movement, the libertarian party carefully sitting toward the right, went from no seats to 10 seats. The biggest loser, Black Mordusia, the right-wing popular party, went down to 10 seats and lost their head of state position. The Socialist Democratic Union continues to somehow hold on to two seats despite inaction.

PARAMILITARY VIOLENCE IN MORDUSIA
BOYCOTT AGAINST OCCUPY MOVEMENT ANNOUNCED

A new group calling itself the "Women's Liberation Front" has formed, heavily backed by the Occupy Mordusia group. Citing anger at new laws created by leading monarchist group Avant Mordus and backed by the Moralistic Idealism Party and Black Mordusia, the WLF have struck at Avant Mordus, firebombing their local headquarters and blockading the Chamber of Delegates. They have also burnt religious clothing at stores across Mordusia, potentially harming small businesses in the process.

These numerous acts of violence have resulted in the Black Legion (the paramilitary arm of Black Mordusia) and the newly formed Moralistic Idealism Party's Peacekeeping Alliance (MIPPA for short) teaming up with local police across Mordusia to protect innocent civilians from the crossfire and suppress the growing wave of terrorism supported by Occupy Mordusia. Black Mordusia has also announced a boycott against the Occupy Mordusia movement until they disavow themselves from the terrorists, the boycott being joined by the Moralistic Idealism Party. So far, the WLF has backed down slightly in the face of this boycott, the Occupy Mordusia movement knowing that the loss of support from both parties harms its chances of getting anything done.

NEW NATIONAL UNITY CABINET FORMED

In order to lower tensions between the various extremist parties in Mordusia, the Black Mordusia proposed a National Unity Cabinet which was unanimously accepted.

The Cabinet is chaired by the Moralistic Idealism Party, who will mediate debates. The other cabinet positions are shared equally between the far-left Occupy Mordusia party and far-right monarchist Avant Mordus! party. The chancellorship is held by Black Mordusia, who have expressed their wish to also mediate should the need arise.

MAJOR REFORM EXPECTED SHORTLY IN THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF MORDUSIA

The Chamber of Delegates is currently completing the final touches to a major reform of Mordusian politics, including the institution of a constitutional monarchy, and a Bill of Rights protecting the rights of women, religion and freedom of and from religion.

This comes after a major crisis which brought the Government to it's knees and almost caused a civil war. The end of the crisis has been applauded by the citizens of Mordusia. This is the first step in regaining their trust.

Chancellor Torvald calls for expansion of Bishopric of Mordus

Earlier this morning, Chairman Martin Torvald continued his pressing the Council for further reforms that broaden the impact of the Bishopal Church of Mordusia's impact on daily life in Mordusia. Backed by many hardliners with Alliance Res Publica, Torvald has been more persistent in speeches as the return of the Conquest Party changes the dynamics of the governing Council. Though elections are still several years away, it stands to reason that the ARP will need to maintain its relevance, after disappointing results in the last round of elections.

The Chairman was quoted as saying that "Mordusians need to be instilled with the bedrock principles of our Creator in their youth, and I believe they won't stray for from it. Now, when they're adults, we must make due concessions for freedom and free will. Though some have called for stricter reforms, I find that to be counter-productive. You don't - you can't force 'em down that road. But you can definitely encourage 'em." He took one question from the press, which was concerning several proposals from the Conquest Party that the ARP has sought compromise on.

Chairman Hartcliffe touts Refugee Reforms in "Citizens of the World" Bill

Chairman Alistair Hartcliffe touted Alliance Res Publica's refugee proposal, which would lower restrictions on those who could seek sanctuary within Mordusia's borders, while granting extensive benefits to those who would claim the status for a variety of reasons. The ARP has claimed the support of the Republican People's Party and the Independents at the cost of its recent partners the Fatherland Republic and Conquest Party. There is a continuing trend of fracturing of the major parties as a new "People's Action Party" finds itself on the rise.

The Chairman made a pointed barb against Alduria's policy banning religion, talking about how "all are welcome here, regardless of belief. May we accept those who have been denied the basic freedom to hold to their holy traditions." He then extended a traditional greeting to the Canrillaişe people in their own language.

Conquest Party on the Fringes?

Now completely pulled out of the Cabinet, the Conquest Party of Mordusia has taken itself back to its roots...way "back" if you get my drift. Though, with a party that's named after the Conquest of some unknown enemy that they've never specified, I suppose our expectations are low for the leadership here. Their platform ranges from the hysterical to the terrifying, with proposals to roll back the clock on key civil rights protections to just about everyone in the country. Are you a woman? The Conquest Party doesn't think you're fit for military duty. How about someone in a legally recognized marital union? Good luck maintaining that status. In fact, the Conquest Party wants to reach its long arms into the bedroom to determine even what kind of sexual relations are even legal.

After reviewing their key proposals, we can only come to the conclusion that the Conquest Party wants to conquer the Mordusian people. It desires to strangle their liberty, their pocketbooks, and their freedoms. It stands for nothing more than the total assimilation of people. Let's not forget that they tried in their first months back on the political scene to determine that certain ethnic origins were superior to others. It's beyond comprehension that this party should hold seats at all in our Counsel, and even more disconcerting that they were given a seat at the table in the previous government.

Call me old-fashioned, but it seems that the real enemy here are those among us who seem content to trample the rights of their fellows. And that seems downright blasphemous.
