Jeremy Brown says Moderates results are "not bad"

The Moderates leader Jeremy Brown has said that the Moderates have not done too badly, as despite not winning any elections, they have consistently gained seats and remained as the third largest party. However, he said that the party should "aim to get into coalition with moderate parties" in the "next ten years", saying that this is necessary to maintain Likatonia's reputation as a "fair country."

Brown also slammed the government's recent actions, saying that they are introducing "authoritarian rules that favour religion to personal freedom" and also said that they are passing "homophobic laws" and said that they are "turning out to be a very right-wing party", and said that the "left-wing and centre parties need to start working together, as they did when the Communists were threatening democracy and people's rights in Likatonia".

Jeremy Brown responds to criticism

Moderates leader responded to criticism from the Prime Minister, saying that "I have yet to see what Mr Wasim's plan is, aside from bullying minorities and disadvantaging the already vulnerable.", and said that "Mr Wasim is telling the truth that he is reforming Likatonia. But not in the way he'd like to think."

Mr Brown also said that he was going to unleash "a new plan for economic growth" which didn't require "putting vital services into the hands of corporations", and announced that he would create 100,000 new jobs by raising some taxes and raising budgets, and so requiring more work and more workers. He also said that "I think calling those states undemocratic was perhaps a bit much, I will admit." But said that "they are corporatist if they choose government on expertise, rather than choosing governments democratically and then giving the government's specialist advisers" and said that he would "want to spread the message of democracy to those nations, and help them strengthen theirs as we strengthen ours."

He also added that "when parties have worked with right-wing or far-right parties, such as Likatonia First, they have failed in subsequent elections. I would advise the Prime Minister to think about this."

Jeremy Brown meets Prime Minister

Jeremy Brown met the Prime Minister today, in order to discuss shared interests, though it was also clear that the two parties have big differences. However, they had recently voted together in a bill proposed by Henry Johnson, the Moderates Internal Affairs Spokesman, to restrict gun ownership, as it was quite a big issue. This shows good co-operation between Government and Opposition when there is a clear interest in doing the best for Likatonia.

However, he said that the parties still disagreed a lot. For example, he said that the Moderates were "committed to secularism" whilst "it seems the LPP is a more religious oriented-party." He also said that the party's positions "on LGBT rights don't align at all with ours" and said that the recent bill passed on LGBT+ individuals in the military was "a bill that could only come from a right-wing conservative." He also said that the party was "apparently more about effiency that democracy", commenting on their bill that stopped the requirement for Cabinet Ministers to be elected Senators, and also criticised the government for supporting privatising schools and giving private schools money, saying that it "will not get us better results, as the schools will now be in it for the money." However he said that the government had abstained on a few socially conservative votes, allowing them to be defeated, which he said "might show hope."

Jeremy Brown said that the meeting was "good" and that Opposition communication with Government is important "to make sure that the Senators work together to do what is best for the country, rather than for the party." He added that he would like Opposition-Government to continue, but "hopefully with me as Prime Minister rather than Leader of the Opposition!"

President & Prime Minister meet for talk about policy

Recently, both Prime Minister Atif Wasim and President Tye Hill met for a talk about the policy of government. In the talk both leaders discussed the current situation of the country, what each party would like to see implemented policy wise and the future of LF-LPL relations. First, Mr Hill praised Mr Wasim for being able to make Likatonia more conservative by both parties compromising on issues. This can be seen by Likatonia First voting for the fodation of a national government rail operator to run services alongside private companies and by Likatonian Peoples League voting to remove the requirement for workers to be represented on industry boards. Mr Wasim also praised Tye for being a good head of state inspiring the nation through unity and nationalism. This is one of the points which the parties share and are wanting to spred throughout Likatonia.

After talking about policy, Tye moved onto the economy saying that government policy has been spot on. Consumption is over 2/3 of the economy which is seen as a success by the conservatives to get people using their own money and not having to pay the state exesive ammounts to operate some services they don't even use. Tye did mention the slight rise in coperate tax proposed by LPL in the time of the previous government which was voted against by Likatonia First but said that he had no hard feelings about the issue and understands that it was a small change.

Atif later tried to convince Tye for his party to implement gun regulation but he said that Likatonia First will have nothing to do with it and that it would not be government policy but LPL policy. He was recorded saying that Likatonia First will restrict all types of regulation on the freedom of people and being in government wouldn't stop this. He was also heard saying that the populist movement would die if LF gave into the libral establishment on ny issues. Mr Hill did make sure though to emphaises that LPL was not part of that establishment and knew that his party had conservative views on social issues. Hill also warned Wasim of the language used by leader of the opposition Jeremy Brown which he saw as invasive on his power and trying to tare apart the government by making LPL socialist. He said that the Moderates want to take down so much of what our parties had done together such as social laws, economic laws and devolution laws so they are not the friend of a conservative party.

Wasim and Hill came to the conclusion that even though the parties are divided on some issues, they are more united than divided and would most likely their parties will go into coalition with each other wherever they can. Hill also used this time to announce to Wasim that the new leader of the Senate should be Duran Cox from Likatonia First. He said that it was important that his party had the role to try and balance out the powers of both parties equally and fairly.

Old Party, New Inspiration: The Story about the Reformation of the LNP
Maria Sandrigal, the President and "Re-founder" of the LNP is all the buzz in moderate conservative circles today, but who exactly is this woman who seemed to come out of nowhere? We sat down with her to figure this out and to ask about the future of the LNP and what direction it is heading.

Charles Mancy: Good Morning Mrs. Sandrigal, how are you today

Sandrigal: I'm quite good thank you for having me

Mancy: Your quite welcome, so Mrs. Sandrigal you are quite a person of intrest in the consersative circles, alot of people are wondering who you are and where you came from. You mind sharing with us that bit of information?

Sandrigal: Well, I was a 23 when the Libertarian Nationalist Party was formed (4759), at the time I was a intern at a Political Polling Company, and I was very politically apathetic as the only political party that was close to mine were the Moderates and the Conservative Republicans, and both of them seemed to not be 100% my beliefs, not even 70% my beliefs to be honest. So by that time I was silently resigned to the not voting corner until I saw the LNP. I was apprehensive at first, thinking it was just another fad party that would fade out after one election, but when I heard Edward Baldwin speech so passionately about the things that i cared so deeply about, I knew this was the party for me. From then on I tried so desperately to get on the Senator list, I quit my job and started a non-profit origination that sponsored almost every bill that the LNP made. Finally I had my break when this exact station (Liberal-Right Broadcasting) was created in the 60's and I landed an interview, shortly after I was put on the senator list and was working hard to be in the cabinet, when the party fell apart almost 30 years ago. I then went away defeated, until I was able to find some people that wanted a conservative alternative to what we have, and I found a group of politicians, activists, and dreamers and re-founded the party that stands here before you today.

Mancy: Incredible.what are plans for the years to come

Sandrigal: We plan to have what the original LNP did not; democratic party elections, as well as greater transparency with our internal party structures, and to not cause political drifting by isolating our more left/right members in the party. As for external policy we are trying to revive the works of Edward Baldwin and deregulate Infrastructure, and slash taxes across the board and try to make a minarchist government.

Mancy: that is excellent Mrs. Sandrigal thank you for your time but we have run out of time.

Sandrigal: Your quite welcome
Liberalism is dead, bring forth populism (preferably left wing populism)

Defense Minister says Likatonia is much stable than Valruzia.

Clovisport: On Monday the Defence Minister Jahanzeb Liaqat visited military base in the Capital city of Clovisport in the LPL dominated West Bolton state.
Minister was briefed by the Commanding generals about the current border security & the ongoing security arrangements being made.New defense projects have been given approval which will be announced soon.

After the briefing Minister Liaqat took questions from the media. Image
When asked about the possibility of any Valruzian-Likatonia border clashes Minister said
Dont worry. We know what to do.

When asked about the return of Likatonian national from Valruzia he said,
"We are in talks.Foreign Ministry is overseeing the matter."

Journalists asked about the homosexuality policy to which minister directed media to read the statement of Defense Ministry Spokesperson.

Minister was again asked whether the relations between Likatonia & Valruzia are becoming smoother & friendly to which Minister responded that he doesn't want to give any statement regarding it right now.

When inquired that whether the worsened relations of 2 countries is the result of internal instability of Likatonia as claimed by the Nowogard
He said
" We are much more stable & proud of our diverse Democracy."

Targeting Opposition Leader Brown he said that Moderates & its party leader has no other mission than to grab power at any cost. They dont have the will & ability to serve the people of Likatonia & people will tell them that in the General Elections.

The Minister then left for his constituency in the Clovisport
