FOLKETS FLAG LAUNCHES SURPRISE MANEUVERS AGAINST FTNV IN DOVMARK AND ELENADOTTER IN DOVMARK

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Written by Peter Eriksen and Veronika Paulsson with contributions from Anders Pape Fyn

In a daring and meticulously planned operation, the recently formed Popular Front for Protecting our Democracy (Folkefronten til beskyttelse af forfatningen) executed surprise maneuvers against the controversial Governor Alicia Elenadotter in Dovmark, as well as positions of the militant rebel group Fronttinget för Nationell Väckelse (FTNV) in Kovmark and Östraland. The coordinated actions, led by the Folkets Flag - Sort, Hvid og Gul (Foshog) organization, have sent shockwaves throughout the country and ignited a fervent discussion about the role of armed movements in safeguarding democracy.

The surprise attack in Dovmark unfolded with precision. Folkefronten forces, equipped with high-calibre weaponry of unknown origin, launched a carefully orchestrated assault on FTNV's positions in Vermiljon, Sankt Christiansberg, Svalvík, and Fuglehult. The element of surprise caught the rebels off guard, resulting in a strategic retreat fas Folkefronten gained control of key areas in the region. The success of the operation has significantly weakened FTNV's presence in Kovmark and Östraland, a crucial stronghold for the rebel group, and has dealt a blow to their ability to carry out further attacks in the region.

Simultaneously, a similar operation unfolded in Dovmark against Governor Alicia Elenadotter, who had faced severe criticism for handling the Nordfisk strike and the subsequent crackdown on protesters. The attack, characterized by its efficiency and coordination, caught the Governor's security forces by surprise. Elenadotter, known for her totalitarian measures, declared a state of emergency in response, but Folkefronten forces pressed on, confronting the Governor's loyalists and exposing what many critics claim to be a pattern of authoritarianism. The swift and unexpected actions of Folkefronten have left Elenadotter's administration in disarray, raising questions about the stability of the regional government.

The source of the high-calibre weaponry used by Folkefronten and Foshog remains unknown, raising questions about potential external support for these operations. Analysts speculate on possible international backers sympathetic to the cause of protecting Davostag's democracy, although no concrete evidence has emerged.

The national government's response to these developments is eagerly awaited, as the political landscape in Davostag undergoes rapid and unprecedented changes. As citizens brace for the unknown, the actions of Folkefronten and Foshog have ushered in a new chapter in the struggle for democracy and stability in Davostag. The situation remains fluid, and observers are keenly watching for the next moves by both the armed groups and the government, as the nation grapples with the complex intersection of political unrest and calls for democratic preservation.

Statement from Gerhard Kofeod, Co-Chair of the Executive Forum of Folkefronten:
"The Folkefronten til beskyttelse af forfatningen, in its mission to safeguard the democratic principles of Davostag, has taken necessary and decisive action to neutralise the threat posed by the FTNV and address the concerns surrounding Governor Alicia Elenadotter. Our operations are in defence of the people's rights and freedoms, and we assure our Dovriger brothers and sisters that every effort is being made to restore order and democratic governance. We invite all responsible parties, including the national government, to cooperate in achieving a stable and democratic future for our nation. We shall cooperate, if necessary, with competent and legitimate authorities to execute the democratic will of the people."

THE PREMIER ADDRESS THE RECENT EVENTS IN DAVOSTAG
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Image
'Address to Davostag' held by Premier Erik Sundin

Kivonia, Kovmark – The sun has just set, it is in the middle of the day, as custom in a Davostagian winter. The lights turn on, the camera placed into position – no flaws are allowed. And its on. Premier of the Kingdom of Davostag, the head of the national government, the peak of state power, Erik Sundin standing dressed in a dark suit and red tie in front of a podium and addressing every Davostager. A month earlier 5404 elections throughout the country were held, confirming yet again the superiority of National Gathering (NS), blessing them with their biggest supermajority since 5392. The rising Left Alternative (VA) lost severely, almost losing every seat in the Riksdag, while the Liberal Democrats (LDU) remained in their usual spot. In its first action, NS motioned through a revising act changing some names of the agencies established in the recent Law on the Corporative State of Labour – as well as seemingly giving support a pro-workers piece of legislation proposed by VA. Yet despite these relatively minor actions and big win, nothing had been heard from the premier on either the election nor the recent militant assaults launched throughout the entire country by the People's Banner – Black, White, and Yellow (Foshog). But now he finally stepped out in an 'Address to Davostag':
Good day citizens of Davostag, good day Davostagers. I stand here today for my love of the country, the nation, the realm, I was born in, and which I try to serve diligently and without doubt. First, I would like to say thank you, a thousand times thank you, for the support you all have given National Gathering, but also me. You have allowed us the confidence to continue governing, and we shall use that confidence to make sure that Davostag remains in certain, clear, but also clean hands. During the election I said "that Davostag is need of proper rules and formal directions, and while the informal governing we have conducted since 5350, the times are changing". And I truly mean this, it is time we introduced what we know and love and appreciate with Davostag, such as the recent corporatist-oriented legislation, into facts and into the law of the realm. We have seen these past eight years an increase in a disregard for the informality and cooperative understanding that has been a part of the political, social, and economic character of the second half of the previous century. By the inflammatory actions taken by opposition parties, rules of labour and cooperation in the economic section has been broken; and while inappropriate behavior from large business is never welcomed, the government knows how to deal with this, and should not be in the interests of political groupings to create chaos for the sake of their personal activism. We can see how it went for these political groups in the election last month, with almost no seats left in the Riksdag. Davostagers do not want activism, they want actionism. And we are that action.

Davostag has these past five years been plauged by a militant group, that hides in the shadows, and strikes in the most innocent places of Davostagian society. But I shall correct myself, the Front Thing for National Revival is a threat. Yes. But unleashing the so-called People's Banner upon Davostag has led to tremendous difficulty. Men, women, and especially children, are frightened to open a door or jump into a car, in fear of being blown up or even shot dead in the middle of the day. By law, paramilitary organizations are illegal, and the Government will take action against FTNV as well as Foshog. I have ordered the Davostag Navy to be on alert and stand by with its warships, I have also ordered the Military Police to increase its cooperation with the State Security Bureau and the Civilian Police to ensure total safety throughout all streets, squares, and publics buildings in Davostag. We will hunt these criminals down. For no one, not criminals, not militias, not terrorists, not the state, shall go after regional assemblies and governors. They will all be destroyed if they do not surrender.

Despite these bleak events, I see a bright future for Davostag. We have had two recent state visits from foreign lands, one from Kundrati and one from Dolgava. Both involve increasing our cooperation with the outside world, of which we have ignored for centuries. In the future I see, I see a revival of our international activity, on the level as we had during the era of the Union of Davostan and Kivonia. We have prospects for trade agreements, intelligence sharing, military alliances, and so much more. While it is important for us Davostagers to remain in our solitude, it also important to once in a while face the sun and gain the vitamins we so desperately need. These next fifty years will be the years of a proper revival, a proper future, a stable future, a Davostagian future.
Thank you all very much. May God and the Allfather bless our nation of Davostag.

As the speech ended, Riksbladet gained more information on the events addressed by the premier. It is apparently so that the Governor of Dovmark, Alicia Elenadotter, has been personally approved by the premier to continue her state of emergency on the island to combat the increasing threat and violence committed by the militant groups. The premier has ordered the Davostag Navy to also patrol the island of Dovmark, while the Davostag Army has been sent in to help the Military Police locate and apprehend those affiliated with FTNV and Foshog. While at the same time, the chief of the Military Police in the landskap of Dovmark, lieutenant general Axel Västerling, has been reprimanded by the government for his actions taken against the striking workers – and by the order of the premier, the Military Police has been relieved of their role in this instance and will simply observe as the Civilian Police will handle public safety around the strikes from here on. The premier also personally involved himself in process to make sure that the representatives of the strikers can sit down with representatives of the Nordfisk company, the Davostag Corporative Organization (DKO), and the national government, to come to an understanding and settlement.

The government also announced that a parliamentary committee headed solely by NS, is to lead the work concerning properly hindering any militant and parmilitary organizations from forming, as well as looking into possible ways of stopping both FTNV and Foshog. Another committee, but this time formed internally in NS, has been given the responsibility of looking into expanding the authority and powers of the Military Police and SSB to fight internal threats. The Minister of Internal Affairs, Per Seiger, has urged Left Alternative and the Popular Front to distance themselves from Foshog, and warned that failure to do so could result in the risk of getting caught inbetween the operations conducted by the Military Police – AND that the authorities could target said groups should they still affiliate and give support to Foshog.

A DEMOCRACY IN PERIL? WHAT DOES THE FUTURE OF DAVOSTAG LOOK LIKE
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

This is a article published by a journalist from Riksbladet

With the increasing violence pushed for by the Front Thing for National Revival (FTNV), and the flames radically spreading by the responses from the Government and the state-loyal People's Banner – Black, White, and Yellow (Foshog), one thing is on the mind of every Davostagian citizen as well as the foreign observers: What is happening in Davostag?
A few days ago, the Premier of Davostag, Erik Sundin, held a fiery speech declaring that Davostag has a bright future as long as its internal enemies are destroyed. It is no secret that even before his ascension to the premiership, the rise of the State Security Bureau (SSB) and other intelligence agencies has skyrocketed. His companions dubbed by media as sekurer hold most if not all positions of authority and power around the country. And while these types of regimes tend to go down the road of electoral fraud or outright dictatorships, Davostag has remained on its very "unique" road of democracy. For over fifty years, the country has held free democratic elections, but only one party has gained the absolute confidence and support from the Davostagers. National Gathering. It is as if the Davostagers are intrinsically prone to authoritarian rule, almost as if what it means to be Davostagian is to be a follower of authoritarianism. And now a terrorist conflict is fought in the country, militant groups fight one another, and the Military Police, that basically controls the Civilian Police, esnures law and order.

Another question that is rising is: Who is on the side of democracy?
Clearly Sundin and National Gathering heads a democratically-led government, though with instances of so-called soft-authoritarianism, and with instances of increasing "semi-totalitarian" powers, but it is all in the interests of protecting our democracy of course. They are fighting a nationalist group that uses terrorist actions to achieve their goals, but wasn't National Gathering founded as a nationalist group that used terrorist actions to achieve their goals? Maybe not NS directly, but their founders had fought and sided with the rebel Nationalists in the civil war between 5330 to 5333, and then established a totalitarian dictatorship that lasted until 5350. And sure, it was they, despite affiliating with the Militarist faction, who joined with the Moderate faction to restore democracy... but this was done so they could control it without forcing said control on the population.
The FTNV has not stated once that they want the dictatorship back, only that the Nationalist revivalist movement that came out if it be fulfilled in the creation of a 'Davostag Republic'. Not once has their members spit on our democracy, but it would rather seem that they want to force National Gathering to complete the Nationalist mission. Get rid of the monarchy, clearly unrepresentative of Davostagian culture, in its place a republic could be formed, not necessarily. Adopt official co-flags, Tjodsfanan and Rikstrikoloren, to represent the old and new Davostag respectively in a revived nation-state.
Sure violence is wrong, but National Gathering failed in its purpose. To preserve and develop the revival of Davostag nationalism in a proper form to be represented in Davostag in the same manner as nation-states are around the rest of the world. The FTNV claims that foreign influences ruin and corrupt Davostag, this is another one of their stated goals to achieve revivalism. The removal of everything foreign, or most of it, to properly achieve a true nation. The People's Banner, the believed antithesis of FTNV, calls for protecting of democracy through militant actions. But in the end they are protecting a very flawed democracy, founded on ideals of control and dominance by singular units. One can alway side with the law and call that defending democracy, but wouldn't it be right to say that the FTNV wants to tear down the system and create a nation based and for Davostagers, that can be properly developed, and thus perhaps democracy in the form that Davostagian culture demands it to be is established. We'll see eventually, maybe it's not so black and white as the world would like you to see it as.

TO EASE TENSIONS, GOVERNOR ELENADOTTER INVITES PEOPLE'S BANNER FOR A MEETING
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Image
Governor Alicia Elenadotter at press conference

Sankt Erwinsburg, Dovmark – The gubernatorial residence of Dovmark is traditionally located in the regional capital of Dovborg, but Governor Alicia Elenadotter decided upon her election to be situated in the city of Saint Erwinsburg. A staunch loyalist to the ruling National Gathering (NS), the governor has on several occasions overstepped her own authority, and for the most part gotten away with it. Having secured the landskap of Dovmark since 5384, becoming one of the youngest governors ever at the age of 28. She has held the position ever since, securing NS with victories after victories – most likely due to her being the handpicked successor of the her predecessor, Peter Ølsen, who was the most popular governor in Dovmark in recent times. Despite her popularity, as mentioned, she has used her authority in increasingly dictatorial and even totalitarian ways. One such moment was when she oversaw the Military Police cracking down on striking workers in Saint Erwinsburg, then publicly turning the events around warning the strikers of the consequences of provoking law enforcement. On top of it, to frighten the strikers, issued a state of emergency – which resulted in the militant People's Banner – Black, White, and Yellow, to launch an assault on the governor and her entourage, in 'the name of democracy'.

The Premier of Davostag, Erik Sundin, assured in a national address that the government would be quick and destructive in its way to neutralize the People's Banner – heightening the tensions even more. The premier called on Left Alternative and the Popular Front to break with the militant group, and it was left at that. Now it would seem that backroom dealings and decisions have been made, resulting in Governor Elenadotter to now invite representatives of the group to discuss how to move forward and reach an agreement for "the good of Davostag". What awaits as the results of the meeting is to be seen, but the gubernatorial office is looking forward to reaching an understanding. If an agreement could be made in Dovmark, the national government could possibly rescind its sanctioning of the group, and as some experts believe could bring great potential in working more closlely with one another against the FTNV threat.

IN PURSUIT OF A NEW DAWN

By Henrik Orrublig Nyborg, Deputy Secretary - Ungdom för ett alternativ Dovrige (UAD)
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

In response to Johanna af Tyling's reflections, let us embark on a journey to renew our beloved Dovrige. It is time to shed the shadows of the past and embrace a new era of liberty, brotherhood, and justice, encapsulated in a genuine liberal democratic order that empowers every Davostager.

Our democracy should be a living testament to the ideals we hold dear—free, just, and inclusive. Let us break free from the chains that have bound us and imagine a country where every citizen stands tall and proud, contributing to the shared vision of a vibrant and harmonious nation.

The struggles faced by the working classes deserve our attention and empathy. A compassionate approach to governance is not a weakness but a strength. It is a commitment to building a nation where every Davostager, regardless of background, feels heard and valued.

Foshog's urgency to dismantle existing structures may not be the solution, but it is a resounding call for change. National Sambling must heed this call, recognizing that genuine renewal requires addressing the root causes of discontent.

Republicanism should not be a replication of past authoritarianism. Instead, it should be a beacon of hope, a new dawn that radiates the principles of democracy. In our pursuit of liberty, brotherhood, and justice, let us learn from the mistakes of others and forge a path that truly elevates us all.

It's time to embrace a politics that transcends divisions, fostering unity and understanding. Together, let us build a Dovrige that stands as a testament to the strength and resilience of its people.

In solidarity,
Henrik Orrublig Ny,
Deputy Secretary for the Kovmark Landskap
Ungdom för ett alternativ Dovrige (UAD)

FOSHOG APOLOGIZES AS FOLKEFRONTEN MEETS WITH ELENADOTTER TO FORM "NEW POLITICAL FRAMEWORK"

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

In a surprising turn of events, Foshog or the People's Banner, issued a public apology for the recent violence and unrest, expressing remorse to all victims affected by the escalating crisis. The organization has pledged to continue advocating for workers' and citizens' dignity and rights, steering their efforts toward constructive dialogue.

This unexpected move comes as key leaders from Folkefronten and Fællesliste V - Rød-Grøn Dovmark announced their willingness to participate in negotiations with Governor Alicia Elenadotter and the Landskap government. The goal of these talks is to establish a new "political framework" that ensures stability, justice, and respect for democratic processes and workers' rights in Dovmark.

The negotiations, set to take place behind closed doors in the Dovmark Landskap Convention Hall, aim to address the root causes of the current crisis and explore potential peace and power-sharing settlements. Governor Elenadotter, in a bid for transparency, has pledged media access to the proceedings, allowing the public to witness the efforts toward a resolution.

The apology from Foshog, a group known for its militant support for democracy, marks a significant shift in their approach. The willingness of various political factions to engage in dialogue reflects a shared recognition of the urgency to forge a path toward a more stable and just future for all Dovmarkians.

As the nation watches closely, hopes remain high that these negotiations will pave the way for a renewed commitment to democratic values and the well-being of every citizen in Dovrige.

FTNV RELEASES VIDEO IN RESPONSE TO KUNDRATI MILITARY ON DAVOSTAG SOIL
_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Image
Armed FTNV men addressing the Davostag public. (OOC: I've not mastered the art of AI just yet)

Sankt Christiansberg, Kovmark – Two days ago during the evening, a video was publicly released on the internet and has now been shown on state television, into all Davostagers' homes. A video where nine masked men, equiped with military gear and some heavily armed, with what could be interpreted as a white flag and black double-headed eagle (Tjodsfanan) behind them. On the table at which some of the men sat, could be possibly seen as the rune-script reintroduced a couple of decades ago symbolizing "ᚠᛏᚾᚢ", meaning FTNV. The video would begin by the center figure speaking with an authoritative voice, addressing the Davostagian people as well as the Kundrati military that had arrived not long ago:
Nationals of Davostag here us! Today we bring you the unfortunate news that the foreign-controlled Government in Kivonia refuses to address. For these past years, the men and women of the FTNV and of the Armed Forces, have fought and felt the growing foreign influences over our country. We have made our voices heard, we have made the Davostagers' voices heard. We do not want them here. And what is the first action the foreign oppressors do? They send their army, their air force, their navy, to quell our so-called "rebellion" and implement "full democracy" in Davostag. It could be no better proof to any Davostager that still doubts our cause. Davostag is and has been under foreign rule, subtle or open, for a long time, and it is now time for every Davostager to understand his and her place and take for themselves the freedom of a true nation. We will fight every invader. We will fight every foreigner. We will bring our nation to survival and prosperity. But only through its complete and utter revivalization. Glory to Davostag!

Not long after two cars would explode outside the Kundrati embassy in Kivonia and close to the temporary Kundrati military HQ outside the capital. Rumors swirl around that several government and National Gathering party officials had criticized the decision to accept Kundrati sending its military to Davostag, and now there has been several Riksdag members calling out in sympathy to the FTNV agreeing that the Kundrati army simply shows signs of foreing influences in government policymaking. In the population, a growing resentment has been confirmed through polls and statistics concerning the government's decisions, with more and more people showing their sympathies or outright support to the FTNV, as well as more and more anti-foreign and anti-Kundrati sentiment. A patriotic organization known as Dovrige åt dovgerna ("Davostag for the Davostagers") has announced that they will organize a peaceful protest in Kivonia outside of the Kundrati embassy in two weeks, in demand for the removal of their military.

PROTESTERS BURN DOWN KUNDRATI EMBASSY AFTER PRESIDENT'S SPEECH
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The torching of the Kundrati embassy.

Kivonia, Kovmark – After the FTNV had released a video to all of Davostag rejecting the presence of Kundrati soldiers on Davostag soil and vowing to "fight every foreigner", the average Davostager's sympathy towards the militant group would skyrocket, with more and more patriotic and nationalist organizations and groups organizing their own anti-foreign activity. One of these groups is the Dovrige åt dovgerna, meaning in Luthorian "Davostag for the Davostagers", who assembled thousands of people to participate in a peaceful protest outside of the Kundrati embassy, a protest which would begin outside Karlsfort (the seat of Davostag's government) and then march across the capital to the embassy. In the protest we could see several prominent Riksdag members of the ruling National Gathering, same members who had spoken out against the Sundin government concerning the presence of Kundrati military forces. As the protesters had reached the embassy, they were met by Davostag Military Police that ensured the security of the building. But the anger and resentment that had been fueled on by the FTNV and later on by the speech held by Kundrati president Tiberius Aldailurriaga, who vowed that Kundrati would not stop until the FTNV was destroyed and real democracy created in Davostag. The protesters, also fueled by Riksdag member Gustav Ulfsman's sudden fierce speech urging radical action, led to them overpower the MP soldiers who dared not fire and stormed the embassy. The Kundrati ambassador and most workers were safely escorted through an underground garage where he had been put into a military-grade vehicle and safely taken to Karlsfort. The protesters would destroy the inside of the entire building, dragging some of the workers their out on the street and beating them, ending with them torching the building down to the ground while cheerfully chanting "FTNV" and "Glory to Davostag" as well as singing nationalist songs and waving nationalist flags.

Most likely due to heavy internal opposition from the ruling National Gathering, the Sundin government has remained relatively quiet on the matter, and only stated that law enforcement will be securing the area to make sure no fires or any other social chaos would be spreading – and that they would arrange for a new secure embassy for Kundrati, that would be protected by the a regiment of the military police for the time being. The civilian police as well as the military police, while first avoiding the question, has stated that no individual has been arrested and that the Supreme Prosecutors' Office will not be looking into the matter any deeply. Despite the event with several severely hurt, though with no deaths, and several surrounding buildings hurt by the fire, there seems to be a general support of the protesters actions around Davostag. This has led to several other patriotic and nationalist groups organising smaller events in other cities, and with the civilian police in local areas reporting of a skyrocket increase in vandalism and pro-FTNV graffiti in thousands of public places. Most suprisingly, the Great Davostag Youth Party (UPSD), the youth league of National Gathering, and largest youth organization in Davostag, is to hold a "national mass-celebration" – something that has worried figures in the mother-party, since reports have come out of several members of the UPSD vocally supporting FTNV.
