Government ratifies the Human Rights Treaty of 4750
Secretary of State Christian Kvist: "We are already in compliance with it so it wouldn't hurt to ratify the treaty"

Late April 4760, the ruling party Kivonian National Salvation Party (KNSP) motioned the ratification of the Human Rights Treaty of 4750 for the Civil Assembly to vote on. The Secretary of State Christian Kvist has given his full support for it stating that it is a guarantee for all men, women and children that their rights should be protected and that no government, wether, democratic, republican, socialist, monarchial or stratocratic should violate their rights. It is also confirmed that the Head of the Nation General Volkhardt has given his support to the treaty, with one source claiming he said that it was a given right for all to live how they want to. Despite the International backlash against Davostan-Kivonia because of their "undesirable" system of government being a unitary parliamentary stratocracy, most support for the treaty seems to come from within the military. Even when being called fascist, the government has stood up for the right to marry and love whom ever you choose, even going so far as to accept full incestuous marriages and regulated bestiality. This ratification will ensure that the rights are guaranteed, we are already in compliance with it so it wouldn't hurt to ratify the treaty. We hope full heartedly that more nations can ratify similar treaties and ensure for their citizens their natural rights.

Government issues mass fortifications on the coasts
As tensions arise, fortifications are being built and the army positioning itself close to the Hutori border

With the tensions skyrocketing between the Third Kivonian Republic and the traitorous warmongers on the other side of Makon, the Government has now issued a mass fortification along the southern coasts of mainland Davostag, as well as on the Bindeborg islands. Now reaching year 4760, the armed forces has reached its goal to have over 335,000 active personnel and 410,000 reserves, the High Command has also confirmed the formation of new corps and naval groups to include the new numbers in the structural organization of the armed forces. Not only that but the Government has also motioned the Totalförsvars Dekret (Luthorian: Total Defence Decree), a military order with the direct inspiration from the Dorvish Landsturm Decree. This new motion if activated will mobilize 1/3rd of the Davostani-Kivonian population which would number up to almost four and a half million men and women.

As the coasts are being reinforced with bunkers and anti-naval equipment, the Kivonian Army has begun its positioning close to the Hutorian border after the large nation had begun patrolling alongside the Kivonian border. The Armed Forces have also confirmed that the Army will begin regular exercises with the Air Force to combat possible Hutorian act of aggression. The Deputy Director of the General Staff of the Armed Forces has stated that "because of the closeness between Hutori and Telamon, Kivonia will take the neighboring nation as a possible threat to Kivonian sovereignty and will assume Hutorian involvement if Telamon dares to lay their hands on Kivonian territory". In the political scene in Kivonia, the rhetoric from political figures has increased exponentially, some even longing for a war with Telamon and wishing to lay Hutori to waste for their active involvement in Davostani affairs.

State Security Service expanded into the military

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (Inrikesdepartementet) announced that the State Security Service (Statens Säkerhetstjänst; STASÄ) would be expanded to help and assist the military in various ways, especially now, when the Tension Act soon is about to be implemented into national law. STASÄ has as an official assignment to protect the Republic and the institutions of the state against both external and internal threats, this reasoning has been used to expand the powers of the agency, and has helped the military police to categorize and issue "special" warrants for arrests towards suspected enemies of the Republic, because of this, massive arrests have been taken place the recent months despite not being "allowed" , yet, by law to commit these arrests. Most of the arrested have been confirmed to be sympathizers to the High Queen's regime in Telamon, and by looking at the recent weeks, one can see that the majority of the apprehended suspects are mostly Telamonic citizens and of the ethnic Skjöld minority in Davostag. This has caused an increasing amount of the Skjöldic people too rapidly travel towards the Hutori border. As of now, it is confirmed that over the past three months, 3,000 enemies of the Republic has been apprehended and put in internment camps after the jails became full, the Ministry of Internal Affairs have also tried to make sure that the conditions and treatments in the camps are as acceptable to international standards as possible.

Telamonic Freighter Attacked, Many Consider Act of War

The Kivonian Minister of Defence Thorsten Morgentaler has accused the Telamonic military for staging the attack on the freighter for a reason for war

This evening Minister of Defence Thorsten Morgentaler told the press and indirectly to the Telamonic government and military to be extremely careful with their next move (militarily). Early today, the Telamonic government reported that a Kivonian patrol ship allegedly shot up a Telamonic freighter, with the former apparently opened fire on to the Telamoners. However, the military high command has confirmed that no Kivonian soldiers from either the Grand Navy or the Grand Army had operated in the alleged area of the alleged attack, and they have also stated that no Kivonian military presence have been taken place near the area of the alleged event since the joint military operation with Likatonia in 4760. The National Military Commission have also stated that the Kivonian army, navy and Air Force will be on high alert, not only because of the staged attack but also because they have noticed movements from the Telamonic side. The Kivonian Army is now preparing their defenses on both the Nyberg island and the Bindeborg Proper. In major cities, such as the capital Kivonia and the city of Vermillion (Laugarbær), both being coastal cities, emergency defenses and troops are being deployed. No response from Hutori has been made, still it seems as if things are about to move quickly in the coming days.
