ANTICIPATED KUNDRATI STATE VISIT IN DAVOSTAG HELD_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Kivonia, Kovmark – It was discussed numerous times through backchannels but never came to fruition, always sought for to strenghten their bonds but never realized; now at last, on the 25 September 5394, the head of state and government in the Kundrati Union, the President Anaximandro Iturain, has made his official visit to represent the state and nation of Kundrati in the Kingdom of Davostag. President Iturain, together with the Kundrati First Lady, landed on the late morning at the Kivonia International Airport, where he was greeted by the Davostag Deputy Premier Kathrine Rask and saluated by the Davostag Homeguard. As part of preparations for the visit, the
Military Police had secured the entire city, implemented a regulated curfew for the city population, and holds joint responsibility for the security measures together with the
State Security Bureau. With a Kundrati security service and Davostag Military Police escort, President Iturain and Deputy Premier Rask travelled through the capital, with streets having been perfectly cleaned and thousands of people lined up at the street sides waving Kundrati and Davostag flags. Reaching the central district, the President arrives at the historical landmark of the
Reinhardt Palace – home to various historical rulers and the previous ducal family – where he was given a tour by the Deputy Premier to show the just a portion of Davostag history in the area. As the tour ends, the President was escorted to the Grand Hotel Kivonah where he would his residence during the stay.
Later during the day, the President would be escorted throughout the downtown of the city where he would meet and talk with representatives of trade unions, employers' associations, as well as officials from the state-corporations (OOC: Corporations as in corporatism, not business corporations), an event to give the President the understanding and feel of the corporatist society that has been developed throughout the decades. This time it could be noted that the curfew established by the Military Police had been enforced as reguar civilians had been removed entirerly from the city streets, a radical measure to ensure absolute security. During the evening, the President traveled to Silfverhuset where he met with
Minister of Defence Lennart Malmberg including other military officers where they would discuss military matters and ideas of joint defence cooperation. At the end of the day, the President returned to his hotel where he would eat dinner with his government officials, preparing for the next days activities.
On the 26 September, the President would travel on the morning to the outskirts of Kivonia, visiting a military base, factories, various companies and regional and district representatives. As the President returned to the city he and the First Lady was taken to
Karlsfort Palace, the central government headquarters, where he finally met
Premier of Davostag Erik Sundin and his wife, Alexandra Sundin. Saluted by dark-grey clad military honor guards, the Premier and President would talk a walk around the government palace discussing what is believed to have been the ratification of treaties, business exploration, military cooperation, energy sharing, with more. They spent a few hours in Karlsfort in official meetings until mid afternoon when the two departed, the Premier heading to the SSB headquarters on security meetings, while the President traveled to Cederhuset to chair the Kundrati-Davostag Commerce Board, discussing the possible ventures and cooperation of the Kundrati-Davostag markets and trade. Afterwards, the President rejoined the Premier at the square of the
Temple of Glory which towers over the city, now with thousands of spectators hoping to get a view of the two. At the square a review of
Davostag Army soldiers was conducted while the President recieved flower bouquets from two children, a boy and a girl, representing the
Great Davostag Youth Party (the largest youth organization in Davostag since 5335) as well as male and female representatives of the
National University League and the
Davostagian Maidens' Association respectively. After that the Premier and President walked into the Temple of Glory, followed by their respective officials and other various representatives from state, regional, military, party and business organizations, to attend the state dinner – with the inclusion of the Royal Marshal to represent
the King. It is said that before and after the dinner, state affairs were further discussed.
The next morning, 27 September, the Premier Sundin and President Iturain held a joint press conference where they would declare that extensive discussions had been made between the two of them, their officials and other government and business people to develop and establish secure and profitable trade between the two nations, that several treaties was going to be looked into such as a treaty of friendship, a treaty of trade cooperation, a treaty of military cooperation and a treaty of security matters. Premier Sundin mentioned that during the historical
NACTO War on Terror during the late 4800s, Davostag had engaged and established strong ties and cooperation with Kundrati to combat the various forms and branches of the
Anti-Endralon Front, but had afterwards drawn itself to its natural seclusion – the Premier stated that it was time that the two countries stand as strong, developed and friendly as they were back during those olds times defending each other against hostile threats. The two continued on matters of energy, coastal cooperation and some speculative flirting of possible regional and monetary unions. The press conference ended with the announcement that the President would travel later during the day to
Lilletorp Palace to hold an official meeting and dinner with the King and Queen. The day after it is said that the President is taking a vacation to see the natural wonders, countrysides and other parts of Davostag later on, and that this vacation is reaching Hutori as well.
