The "Government in-exile" finally dissolves!

In 28th of August 4607, the government officially announced that the so called "Government in-exile" that went under the name: Republic of Davostan, have dissolved. The RoD was the remnants of the National Rebel Forces (NRF) that caused the civil war known as the Lippstadt Rebellion in Kivonia. This Rebellion cost 200,000 people their lives. The government has said that they will not tolerate any organization to disrupt the peace and freedom of the people of Kivonia ever again. Minister of Internal Affairs; Philip Trevors had this to say:

"The people of our fantastic nation will remember this day, as the day were they could sleep safely in their homes, and could confidently walk on the streets without fearing to be killed by those who claim to protect them, the last thing I can say to this is; All Hail Kivonia, All Hail Reinhardt, All Hail the People!"

Dictator August Reinhardt has passed away!

Today we unfortunately announce that our great Dictator August Reinhardt has passed away.
At the age of 38, on the 17th of February he was murdered by Council member Maj Gen. Charles Branch in the headquarters of the NSMC, but was able to take Maj Gen. Branch with him.

After Deputy Chairman Louise von Bratt had found Dictator Reinhardt, she took it upon her self to seize the position of Dictator. She gained the support from council members Anthony Pierre (Minister of Environment and Tourism), Felix Louis, Fredrick Wolfwood (Minister of Defence), former council member Julian Castle and military commanders Maj Gen. Karl Richter and High Commander Darwin Prince.

When Grand Commander and council member Dieter Devental heard the news of Dictator Reinhardt and Louise von Bratts intentions he quickly mobilized his armies, with the support from council members Marshal of Vermillion (Oskar Hartenstein), General Lucius Kingsley and the military commanders of Commander Rudolf Unterberg and General Jacob Cotton.

These past few months many citizens have been concerned over the large scale battles taking place, as they feared that a possible invasion was happening. But the Kivonian National News Service explained that Deputy Chairman Louis von Bratt had ordered all news Services to keep Dictator Reinhardts death in the dark until she had defeated all her enemies.

After a few major battles and the death of Louis von Bratt and Julian Castle, Grand Commander Delvental was chosen as the new Chairman of the NSMC and proclaimed as the new Dictator of the Kivonian Republic. But... Grand Commander Delvental has instead said that he will take the position of Dictator after the coming election...

All Hail Dictator Dieter Delvental!

Today Grand Commander Dieter Delvental has ascended to the position of Dictator. With this the motto of the nation will change to ”All Hail Kivonia! All Hail Delvental!”. The people has been reported to be extremely cheerful over the ascension of Reinhardt’s right hand. These past few months the population have been in mourning for their late Dictator.
The popularity of Dictator Delvental was at a 27% before Reinhardt’s Succession War but skyrocketed up to 67% after the people found out that he avenged Reinhardt’s death, they have as well been extremely excited during the Military parade hosted for the new Dictator.

Delventals first act as Dictator was to remove any critics of August Reinhardt from any public position. The people thank the new Dictator for keeping the peace and defeating those who took advantage of the late Dictator’s death. All one could hear during Delvental’s ascension was: ”ALL HAIL KIVONIA! ALL HAIL DELVENTAL!”

Dictator Delvental has been killed during the Battle of Kivonia!

During a violent military coup led by the Minister of Internal Affairs; Kristoff Silfver the Dictator, Dieter Delvental was killed during the Battle of Kivonia on 20th April 4616. Commander Silfver has now been given the position of Dictator by the NSMC who now recognizes him as the victor of the battle. Other military commanders has looked to the rumored successor to Delvental, the Marshal of Vermillion; Oskar Hartenstein for action. The Marshal has simply responded with accepting and recognizing Silfver as the new Dictator of the Republic and with that proclamation the rest of the military did the same.

Dictator Silfver has been overthrown!

On the 3rd of March 4620 the Marshal of Vermillion; Oskar Hartenstein launched a coup against Dictator Kristoff Silfver and successfully killed him in the process. The National Salvation Military Council declared the Marshal as the new Dictator, but surprisingly he refused the position and instead declared that the Republic would be reorganized in to the Kivonian Empire. The Empire, he declared would be ruled by the soon to form Vermillion Dynasty. Many were shocked especially the Republicans and the devout supporters of the founder of the Republic; Dictator Reinhardt.

The Foundations of the Kivonian Empire!

The Marshal of Vermillion has with great speed drawn up and begun the process of reorganizing the Republic into the Empire. Though not the Dictator he has assumed the position of Chairman of the National Salvation Military Council as the temporary Head of State of the Republic. The new Empire will be ruled by the soon to be formed Vermillion Dynasty, which is a merger between the Marshal's Hartenstein family and his spouse's noble house of Bergeshöhen. The future Empress Consort is the current Lady of Vermillion; Katarina von Bergeshöhen her children with the Marshal will become the other two members of the new Imperial Family, and they are Crown Prince Oskar (future Emperor Vermillion; Oskar II) and Princess Vermillion Hilda.


It has been confirmed that the official Grand Imperial titles are these:

Emperor Vermillion: "His Imperial Majesty; Oskar I of the Vermillion Dynasty in accordance of the Kivonian Empire & it's National Salvation, Emperor & Marshal of Vermillion"

NSMC LAUNCHES MILITARY COUP AGAINST GOVERNMENT

In Early October 4644, the resurrected NSMC launched a military coup d'état against the ruling First Noble Socialist Party. The chair of the restored NSMC is the founder of the Kivonian Republic's daughter, Elise Reinhardt, her first action after seizing power was to call for a free election upon which the NSMC received 65% of the vote.
In 4595, August Reinhardt successfully overthrew the Davostan nation during the so called 4595 Davostani Coup D'état and formed the National Salvation Military Council, one year later in 4596 he founded the Kivonian Republic as its Dictator. Ever since then, Kivonia has suffered from many schemes and coups by NSMC members until the council fell in 4628 during the Massacre of Kivonia.

As the daughter of Dictator August Reinhardt, Elise Reinhardt now intends on resurrecting the ideals her father established in Kivonia but which was removed by the FNSP. The First Noble Socialist Party fled to Davoya, the only State Canton they won in. Some now see this as the beginning of a possible civil war.

Newly-formed Democratic People's Party surges in snap elections, achieves majority
Formed out of the wake of the dissolution of the ruling Honorable Republican Satanailists, the Demokratisk Folkepartiet, a party championing democratic values and staunchly opposed to authoritarianism has won a clean sweep in the recent snap elections, cementing them a majority in the National Satanailic Congress.

First emerging as a secular dissident movement among pro-democratic student organizations, what would soon be the Democratic People's Party, or People's Alliance in the Skjöld language grew to encompass a grassroots campaign for the return of democracy following the collapse of the ruling and authoritarian Honorable Republican Satanailists. With the legislature under a caretaker government in the wake of the sole political entity within Davostan's dissolution, multiple organizations came out in droves to craft new parties. The drive to coalesce into a new ruling entity soon became a contest—With many trying, but ultimately one has managed to come out on top, after fresh snap elections were called by the caretaker government.

Campaigning on a broad and largely progressive platform, the DPP promised that democracy would return to Davostan, alongside it's fierce protection. Amid the assurances of a restored democracy, the DPP announced it's full commitment to a campaign of secularizing the national government, whilst still upholding religious freedoms in the predominantly Satanailist-practicing region most of the party's members hail from. "We are wholly dedicated to the return of a peaceful, democratic regime," the DPP's leader, Philip Ludvigsen stated during his party's post-election speech. "It is time that our nation, and it's two peoples that inhabit it, are on equal ground with one another. For years before this moment, our own people had been forcing their religion onto the majority Hosian Kivonians, mandated by the state. Such behavior was deeply authoritarian and theocratic, and thankfully with our victory tonight in these snap elections, we can safely assure it never occurs again. Let us move forward, with peace in our resolve, and continued democracy our eternal goal."

With a slew of progressive reforms already announced during their campaign prior to the snap elections, further reforms proposed by the party also noted at a large reduction in the size of the national legislature, alongside a possible referendum on the future government type of the nation, seeing as though many legislators view the interim period of reforms as a transitional state.


The Demokratisk Folkepartiet's leader, Philip Ludvigsen, conducts the party's post-election speech. In the leadup to the caretaker government's snap elections, Ludvigsen campaigned on a predominantly progressive and socially liberal platform, with secularism at the government level, alongside the reintroduction of democracy being key campaign promises.

National Satanilic Congress dissolved, new legislature sworn in as democratic reforms continue—But not without backlash
Finally achieving a newly sworn in legislature after the full dissolution of the former National Satanilic Congress, the DFP has continued pushing democratic reforms, namely secularization. However, such noble efforts have not been without strong backlash among former supporters of the regime of the Honorable Republican Satanailists.

Deputies of the newly-formed Folketinget have been elated for the past few months with the full dissolution of the former National Satanilic Congress this spring, and the formation of the new, democratic legislature of the aforementioned Folketinget, or Parliament. With seat changes being approved simultaneously alongside the disbanding of the NSC, the now 230-member legislature has continued to introduce democratic reform. Most recently such reform came in the form of secularizing the national government. Proposed in the DFP's Sekularisering bill this month is the abolition of state-enforced religion, the requiring of citizens to dress according to religious codes, and the partial abolition of full religious schools across the nation. A key portion of the DFP's campaign promises prior to their election victory last year, the legislation has been lauded by most members of the general public.

However, such progress has not been without it's backlash—Numerous groups and local political organizations tied to the old regime, most of them based in Davostan voiced their sharp opposition to such liberalizing reform, with some hardliners going so far as to denounce the return of democracy altogether. Limited public demonstrations have also been observed in cities such as Davos, and Varrato, with the latter reporting to have resulted in clashes between supporters of democracy and hardline Satanailists, which described such reforms as "An attack on the Dark Prince, Satanail". When such reports reached Prime Minister Mortensen, he commended the swiftness of local police forces in maintaining calm, even if the scuffles were rather small-scale.

Most concerning however was the words of Varrato's Chief of Police, who in a press conference after the clashes noted that of the 10 Satanailists that were in custody for causing the harshest of the fighting, two confessed to having "destructive objects and components" in their private homes. Such words immediately drew the attention of the Minister for Internal Affairs, Henrik Petersen. Having just recently reorganized his agency's domestic intelligence force into the newly-created Office for Investigative Services, or OIS, Petersen reached out to local police forces to initiate a raid on the two suspects properties, and each were confirmed to having components necessary for the construction of pipe bombs. "This is deeply alarming," Petersen stated in a press conference this afternoon. "If we have evidence this early on of organized behavior with the intent of terrorist activity, then there is no doubt that there may be future attacks. We'll keep our eyes open from now on, as this is most definitely something we cannot afford to lose focus on."

The Prime Minister took to social media after Petersen's press conference, stating his deepest concerns for such sharp backlash to government reform. However, President Møller declined to comment on such developments.

Ministry of Internal Affairs to focus wholly on hardline Satanailist terrorism after two deadly attacks
While reports are still oncoming, there have been two confirmed attacks in the cities of Tezdaryo and Vodisi within the span of three hours, with one being a stabbing in the former and a shooting in the latter.

As the reforms introduced and passed under the ruling DFP government were met with sharp criticism by elements tied to the previous theocratic regime, open anti-government demonstrations began in the late summer of last year to limited amounts, but then greatly gained steam with the successful passage of the Sekularisering reforms. The Ministry of Internal Affairs had since kept an observational glance on such matters, cooperating with local police forces when such instances required further investigation, but now with two deadly terrorist attacks having occurred in just the span of three hours, Internal Affairs Minister Henrik Petersen has enlisted the full powers of the Office of Investigative Services to conduct sweeping anti-terrorist measures. "Any attempt to paint this as something else is shameful," he stated during an impromptu press conference outside his office. "My condolences to those who've lost family members, of which we're still unsure the amount of, but this is as clear as possible—What we're seeing is open, anti-government terrorism advocating for the return of a dictatorship."

While reports are still being provided, of varying nature, what has been confirmed is that in the early morning, around 9:15 am at a farmer's market in Tezdaryo, in the Province of Tarkut, was the subject of a vicious stabbing attack which has been confirmed to have taken the lives of 5 people, and injured 4. Police reportedly engaged in a chase with the suspect as they entered a vehicle for approximately 20 minutes before successfully incapacitating them as they crashed their getaway vehicle into a lightpole. The names of the deceased have yet to be released by local police, citing their contacting of the victims' families for confirmation. Three hours after this, nearing the end of the lunch rush in Vodisi, in the Province of Armonde, a mere few miles from the nation's capital, a plaza was the victim of a shooting apparently conducted by two suspects, with fatalities unconfirmed at this moment, but range within 15-20 victims. Local police had reportedly engaged in a gunfight with the two suspects as they continued to attempt to gain more victims. It has been confirmed that one of the suspects was eliminated by police, whereas another was incapacitated by shooting them in the kneecap.

An emergency session of the Folketinget convened within just 20 minutes of the second attack, with MPs of the majority DFP government debating a variety of methods for dealing with the current crisis, before a unanimous agreement was reached: The complete banning of authoritarian right-wing groups, alongside theocratic groups advocating for a return of the previous government. Combining these measures into the Protection of Democracy Act, which included such provisions alongside measures which would give local police forces more power in dealing with such insurrectionist activity. Many politicians took to social media today, alongside members of the general public expressing their support of the government's swift movement on such dangerous actions. Prime Minister Mortensen also expressed his gratitude, stating "If we are to sit on our hands and do nothing, then our democracy is over before it has even been given a chance to breath. I thank the efforts of our fellow MPs, alongside the Ministry of Internal Affairs for their no-nonsense approach to such heinous activities."
