Government announced its plans for several nuclear power stations
The Ministry of Trade and Industry announced their intentions to construct several nuclear power stations in order to create a more sustainable energy source. The first station, KKV-001, is to begin its construction at the end of this year. For the high cost for these power plants, the Ministry looked towards a domestic and a foreign investor, both agreeing with the three parties sharing the costs equally.
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Kivonia, Kovmark - The Ministry of Trade and Industry announced during a press conference this afternoon their plans to construct for several years forward the very first nuclear power plants around the nation. The plans include a numbering of six nuclear power plants, to be constructed under a period of twenty years. The first is to be constructed at the end of this year, and is estimated to be finished in a minimum of four or five years. The first power plant being designated as KKV-001, an abbreviation of "Kärnkraftverk" meaning "Nuclear Power Plant" in Kivonian. KKV-001 is to be constructed west of the city of Fladborg. Minister Emeli Berglund has stated that "...a nuclear future is a prosperous future...", seeing nuclear power as something that could bring a sustainable energy source, which they also say would be much more better for the environment for the reduction of carbon emission.

The second KKV-002 is planned to begin construction a year before the KKV-001 has finished its construction. The funding for the construction of these plants has caused a heavy headache for the Ministry of Trade and Industry, seeing that one plant costs about 7,5 billion Davosti, thus all of the six plants will have a total cost of 45 billion Davosti. An incredible sum, which other ministries looked skeptically on the Ministry of Trade and Industry for. The Minister looked for possible investors, who could help with some of the costs, one of these is the largest private bank MEB, which accepted to help without much hesitation. Not only this, but the Ministry also came into contact with the "Újmakon Centre for Armed Investments", a collection of Endralonian families who has united under this organization to invest in promising projects. These families includes the: Boros family, which holds the main part of the group; the Sárközy family; the Cvijanovic family; the Apród family; the Dudás family; and the Kosár family. In the deal with these two investors, the Ministry, the MEB and the UCAI will share the costs equally, thus each will pay 2.5 billion of one nuclear power plant, and 15 billion each in total of all power plants.
The Ministry of Trade and Industry has made it clear that all nuclear power plants is to be under the sole authority of the state, in order to ensure the greatest security, work and environmental safety.

Revolutionary Calendar, Year 101, Blomstermåned 26 | 26 May 4897
Construction of the Callusarv Military Industrial Centre finished
The Military Industrial Centre, known popularly as Callusarv, has now, after several postponements, finished its construction. The Military High Command spared no seconds using the large "city" by ordering the increased production of air vehicles. The manufacturing of standard arms was also increased with a stunning 12% for the already 30,000 standard arms being manufactured annually.
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Callusarv, Sønderhavn - The project of the century for Davostan was said to be finished within two or three years. Now after six years of constant construction and improvements, the Callusarv Military Industrial Centre – called by representatives of the Military High Command a "military industrial metropolis" – has been inaugurated by the Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces and Head of State, First Citizen Nikolaus. The construction department responsible for the entire project reapplied fairly quickly, that the first mentioned deadline would not be met and that its completion would need to be postponed. Not only one postponement but several, resulting in a high amount of questioning and criticism by relatively large parts of the population. The Government's reason for continuing the entire thing, instead of scrapping it to win favors with voter-groups, was the line of thinking concerning the amount of time and money which had already been spent, wishing for the already used resources to not be in vain. And so, the of the mega project continued its construction.

Now a fully functioning city dedicated to the military industry of the nation. The registered residents of the area numbers up to 50,000, with a third of the number having already settled and begun their service. The Central Military Production Department has calculated that the manufacturing of standard arms – which has already begun – will go up to a stunning 12% in the coming six months, with the original number of standard arms being manufactured laying at 30,000 annually. The High Command has also ordered the CMPD to increase productions of air vehicles with 7% every other month for five years, with the top priority going to the Taab JAS 41 Gyrfalcon – half of the production being dual seats and the other single seats. This means that about 3 of the Taab JAS 41 Gyrfalcon will be produced every other month, with about 90 of the model after five years. In a general assessment, the production of military equipment and vehicles is believed to high increase within the coming months, ranging from standard arms to air and ground vehicles as well as naval ships.

A new instrument to Callusarv was also introduced right after the inauguration of the military centre, originally built for civilian and nationwide purposes, one of the nuclear power plants, the KKV-001 – which is about to finish its construction in the mid of Höstmåned (October) this year – is rumored to be used for military purposes by the military industries in Callusarv. Nothing has been confirmed, and bureaucratic officials in charge of the nuclear construction committee has dismissed such claims, stating that military inspections have been made at the construction site of the KKV-001, but only to "ensure the military safety" of Callusarv nearby. Despite this, some have used their statements to further advance the notion that the military inspections was conducted to ensure the KKV-001's capabilities in service to the military industrial centre of Callusarv. Something the Military High Command has decided to not comment on.

New cabinet to be inaugurated, and rumored property law could challenge the constitution
The longest serving cabinet of the Union of Davostan and Kivonia, Chancellor af Augustine at age 68 continues to head the government. However, a rumored legislation on private property which intends on limiting the right to own property could be the reason why the Chancellor decided to remove all her ministers – after a suggested revolt by some ministers – and form a new cabinet instead.
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Kivonia, Kovmark - In the Revolutionary Year 79, Höstmåned 11 (Common calendar, 11 October 4875), Erika af Augustine had just made her swift coup d'état resulting in the death of Regent Elsa Cederstam, the mother of the current Anförare Nikolaus. Augustine formed her first government as Chancellor of the Realm. During the tenure of her cabinet, several things had occurred: in Year 81 (4877), the First Citizen Nikolaus married Boros Barbara; in Year 83 (4879) she reorganized the famous and infamous Leitz Squadron, to ensure its loyalty to the state; the same year she could proudly declare victory over the rebellious and terroristic AEFNS, with massive parades and celebrations across the nation; Hutori began increasing their troops in their military bases stationed around Davostan; in Year 89 (4885) she orchestrated the massive land reforms in the province of Bindeborg, decreasing poverty and boosting the economy; in Year 90 (4886) the National Convention voted to withdraw from a major treaty with Kundrati, due to their decision to leave NACTO; in Year 91 (4887) her government introduced the Revolutionary Calendar of the Union, setting the year of the Union's foundation as Revolutionary Year 1, the calendar renamed all months in honors to historical people and events; in Year 95 (4891) a Military Conference was held, with the High Command and the government deciding to centralize the military industrial complex and begin the construction of a military industrial centre as large as a small city; the same year her government began the planning and construction of several nuclear power plants around the country; in Year 98 (4894) a economic report from Vascania put Davostan as one of the 12th largest world economies; in Year 101 (4897) the construction of the military industrial centre had finished including the first of the nuclear power plants. The Af Augustine Cabinet stands now as the longest-serving cabinet, with the longest serving ministers within it, on a record of almost thirty years.

Now however it is beginning to dawn on the National Convention, the First Citizen and the rest of the nation that the Cabinet will not continue. Rumors goes that the ministers within it has been held with a iron fist by the Chancellor, while other speculations claims that the now 68 year old Chancellor seeks to bring in fresh blood in the government and get rid of the old guard. However, some political analysts think that a rumored legislation concerning public and private property drafted by the Chancellor has caused several ministers to "revolt" against her, and that the Chancellor simply responded by announcing the complete reshuffle of the cabinet. Her new government is believed to enter office in early Blomstermåned (May). The much debated and speculated property legislation is believed to give the state the authority to seize private property at their discretion, a reasonable motive for the speculated revolt. "The centralized statist ideology which holds a tight grip on Kivonians, is the main reason why the government – usually headed by a Kivonian – continues their quest for more state control" says professor David Steiner of political and socioeconomic science of the Vermillion University. Those who fear the rumored expansion of state control within the legislation now looks towards First Citizen Nikolaus to uphold the constitution and intervene against the Chancellor, as one of the sections in Chapter II of the Constitution under the "Fundamental Rights and Freedoms" Article, mentions the "Right to Own Property". However, depending on when the new constitution is going to be adopted, the property legislation could be put on hold until then, and as we know, the Chancellor herself plays the main role in drafting the new constitutional order, of which she could propose to remove the "Right to Own Property". No criticism has yet come from either the National Convention, the All-Union Nationalist Party or the First Citizen, meaning that for now the Chancellor holds free rein over the country and its laws.

Government formalizes process for the withdrawal of the Treaty of Bindeborg
The Government begins the withdrawal of the long imposed Treaty of Bindeborg, seeking to liberate the nation from the claws of the Hutorian military might. The Chancellor held a speech in the National Convention, where she spoke out about the necessity for equality over domination on the Makon continent.
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Kivonia, Kovmark - In year 4779 of the Common Calendar, the Government of the Third Kivonian Republic, the Peace Council, signed the Treaty of Bindeborg, formally ending the Macon War and the TKR, trapping the people of Davostan in the grip of Hutorian military might for more than a century. The Revolution in the 4790s called for complete sovereignty from foreign powers, something the revolutionary leaders, as well as the post-revolutionary leaders promised and worked for. This was never truly achieved. Now, Davostan stands as a regional military power with a strong economy. As ever since the signing of the treaty, no real impact has been made, until the AEFNS conflict, whereupon Hutori increased the size of their forces stationed around Davostan. People again began calling for something to be done. And now, Rikskansler Erika af Augustine saw her opportunity to withdraw from the treaty completely. In a fiery speech to the National Convention, the Chancellor motioned for the abandonment of the treaty, just as Telamon had done a few years ago:
Fellow countrymen! Our northern neighbor has become an enemy of freedom and security to our Union, to our peace, and democracy. In July 4906, the Metzist Party of Hutori achieved a total electoral victory of 74.20% of the vote, an estimated number of 34,653,439 voters. This gives them unobstructed access into turning the Kingdom of Hutori into their own communistic totalitarian reality. Millions could suffer under oppressive tyranny – which is something both the Military High Command and the State Security Bureau has highlighted, something they conclude could pose a high level national security risk, especially with the many Hutorian military bases stationed here in the UDK.

We will do whatever is necessary to protect our hard-fought liberty, our worshipped democracy, our grand Union. The solution is simple, the internal affairs of Hutori is a matter for Hutori and Hutori alone, therefore, their undemocratic internal affairs should not affect the continental affairs of Makon. We will follow our fellow partner on the continent, Telamon, in withdrawing from this treaty that still haunts our people and sovereignty. We still respect the ideas and values of Pan-Makonism, and we believe that a United Makon should be based around equality among our three nations, not domination. Thank you.

The motion for withdrawal is set to pass the National Convention in three months, in Kejsarmåned (December). In a press conference relating to the withdrawal, the Minister of Defence Casper Akerström called for Hutori to begin a withdrawal of their troops and removal of their bases. The support of the current government and of the Chancellor had begun to waver in the past years, mostly due to the Chancellor's abnormally long tenure, however, now with this motion carried out, her support has once more increased to an estimated 72.4%. Her support do also come from the fact that the Chancellor begun to show an increased interest in the Eliseborg Summit and the formation of the Confederate Economic Security Union, hoping to abandon the evermore unpopular Northeast-Artanian Covenant Organization. She believes that the UDK has an important role to play in both the regional and international scenes, seeing the CESU as a step towards this.

Former ruler Carolus Adrianus have passed away
The former ruler Carolus Adrianus, long suffered in a devastating coma, has now passed away. The cause being internal organ failures due to length of the coma. He was honored with the same sort of funeral as his mother, Viktoria Reinhardt, in the capital city Kivonia. It gave light upon the future of the ruling family, as many looked with awe at the appearances of the next generation of the Vermillion dynasty.
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Kivonia, Kovmark - The Revolutionary Year is 112, Kejsarmåned 5 (Common calendar, 5 December 4908), a day upon which the second ruler of the revived Vermillion Dynasty passed away. Carolus Adrianus died in his decades long coma, due to the hardships of his internal organs caused by the abnormally long coma. Carolus Adrianus was born as Karl August Adriano Gustav Al Madyan-Appiano De Borromei-Reinhardt to Ducissa Viktoria Reinhardt and Prince Adriano of the Istalian Empire in 4835. He was appointed Prince of Kivonia – heir to the throne – in 4854, a month later he married the rising military officer Elsa Cederstam, whom he had one child with, the current ruler Nikolas Reinhardt. Charles succeeded his mother on her death in 4867, he took on the regnal name of Carolus Adrianus, honoring his father. However, his reign was brief as he suffered an assassination attempt in 4870 resulting in a devastating coma. His wife, Elsa Cederstam was made regent ruling in Carolus Adrianus' name until her attempted usurpation of the throne. Cederstam was however stopped by her son and opposition leader Erika af Augustine who removed her from power in 4875. Prince Nicholas was then made the new ruler, and has served in his position ever since, waiting for his father to wake up.

Now with His Excellency's unfortunate death, the nation is in mourning. Carolus Adrianus was seen with favorable eyes before and after he assumed the throne. First Citizen Nikolaus declared a week of morning, and as usual during this week, the funeral was held in the capital city Kivonia. During this event, the new generation of the ruling family could be seen. Both the First Citizen Nikolaus and his consort the First Lady Boros Barbara, their children Otto Reinhardt, Elina Reinhardt and Zsanett Boros-Reinhardt. Right after them came the ministers of the government, led by Chancellor Erika af Augustine. Other state officials, and family friends to the Reinhardts. How the future of the Vermillion dynasty will look is uncertain. What we do know is that Zsanett Boros-Reinhardt is the one most likely to assume the role of leading her maternal family's financial empire; this leaves Otto and Elina Reinhardt as the candidates for the throne after the current First Citizen Nikolaus.

New state-agency to be formed, with three new automobile manufacturing companies founded under it
The Ministry of Trade and Industry formed the State Automobile Agency in order to gain control over the expansion of the automobile market. In the agency's establishment, a law was passed, requiring all domestic and foreign automobile companies to be approved and supervised by the agency. Together with the agency, the Ministry signed contracts to various private actors in the formation of three state-affiliated automobile manufacturing companies. These three companies have now presented their first cars, with an intensive competition, highly encouraged by the Ministry.

Automobiles from left to right: Dovauto R-19; Riksvagn Folk; Fortuna Renhård

Kivonia, Kovmark - The state-agency known as the "State Automobile Agency" (Davostani: Staslige Automobil Myndigheden; Kivonian: Statliga Automobil Myndigheten), also known as "STAM" for short, was founded as the government's own agency for oversight of the automobile industry in the country. It serves under the direct oversight of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, and was given a fund of 40 billion Davosti. The Ministry presented the agency as the future of the next prosperous and enriching market for Davostan. The Act formally establishing its creation outlines the legal requirements for all domestic automobile companies to be approved and under the oversight of STAM; the Act also details that any foreign automobile manufacturing company seeking to operate on Davostani soil needs the approval of STAM and be put under their oversight. Critics of the Act has called the government as "extreme authoritarian" to monopolize this market. However, in response, the spokeswoman of the Minister of Industry, Karin Söder said that the so-called "monopolization" of the market is a safety measure against eager individuals and corporations seeking to take it over; she continues stating that the Government hopes to take small steps if necessary towards future privatization. The Ministry also took contact with the MEB – the largest private bank in the country – and the Fortuna Group – one of the largest and influential corporate groups in Davostan – to sign contracts to help found and finance three "publicly ambiguous state-affiliated" – as the Ministry put it – automobile manufacturing companies. The three companies will be founded as "Dovauto AB" and "Riksvagn AB" and "Fortuna Automobile AB". According to the Act presented to the National Convention they will "have the sole purpose of manufacturing quality automobiles for the public usage of both private and public individuals". The Ministry has stated that the founding of specifically three automobile companies would create competition on the market between the three, which would increase the profits. STAM and its private partners began by giving 15 billion Davosti to each of the three companies as a starting capital.

Wasting no time, the appointed board members of the three companies began organizing their respective enterprises, and now after a month of their founding, all three has presented their first automobiles. Dovauto AB presented the "Dovauto R-19", Riksvagn AB presented their "Riksvagn Folk", while the Fortuna Automobile AB presented – unlike the other two – the only electric car, hoping to give a more viable and environmental friendly car "Fortuna Renhård", the name "Renhård" being a Kivonianized version of "Reinhardt". At the moment, Fortuna Renhård and Riksvagn Folk stands as the most popular. However, the Fortuna Renhård stands as the most beautiful, however the reason for being second-placed is mostly due to being the most expensive of the three cars. It is also believed that the style of Fortuna Renhård is based on the designs of Dovauto R-19, which raises the question whether the Fortuna Group someone got hold of the designs of Dovauto AB, or if they are secretly cooperating against Riksvagn AB, whith the latter actually standing at the top with the popularity. No numbers have been given yet over how many of the presented cars will be produced per year, though, one source claims that the State Automobile Agency has given a demand for the numbers to be presented in a month to them and after a approval of the number, that the companies are to make them public and will be given free rein on the production numbers thereafter.

Chancellor Erika af Augustine passes away, successor to be determined at the end of the month
Chancellor Erika af Augustine has passed away in her sleep this morning. The Chancellor reached the age of 84, governing as Chancellor of the Realm for a stunning 45 years. She has been honored by a state funeral, of which she will be buried in the Mausoleum of Warriors. Her successor is believed to be either the current Minister of the Interior and temporary head of government Richard Ekbom or the popular National Convention deputy Josefina af Nordling.
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Kivonia, Kovmark - This morning, Chancellor of the Realm of the Union of Davostan and Kivonia, Erika af Augustine, passed away peacefully in her sleep. The Chancellor reached the age of 84, and has served in her position for a stunning 45 years. Beginning her tenure in 4875 after she ousted the-then Regent of the UDK Elsa Cederstam from power. During her tenure she has accumulated all power around herself, despite the fact that the head of state – the Anförare also known as the First Citizen – should hold superior authority over her. However, the current Anförare has proven a loyal ally and protege of the now late Chancellor. The Anförare gave words of kindness and praised her unyielding leadership. She has been honored by the planning for a state funeral through the capital city Kivonia, where she is to be buried in the Mausoleum of Warriors around the central plaza in the city. A large number of citizens has expressed their support and mourning to the late Chancellor, however, there exists a large number of citizens who have expressed satirical relief that the woman is mortal, hoping to see new faces in government.

Augustine's successor and the new Chancellor who holds the position temporarily until the proposed cabinet motion is Richard Ekbom, who has served as the Minister of the Interior since 4904. Ekbom has expressed it very clear that he would only continue to serve as Chancellor should the National Convention approve. It is also no secret that Ekbom has had his eyes upon the position of Chancellor. However, his main opposition within the National Convention is the very popular Josefina af Nordling, who entered the Convention about fifteen years ago. Her popularity arose fairly quickly due to her rhetorical abilities and widely praised compassion for the common folk. Ever since the draft for the property law written by Chancellor Af Augustine, a sense of hesitation arose from the public not knowing what to think about, especially after the Chancellor's "purge" of the ministers who revolted against her with this law as main cause. Minister Ekbom has expressed his desire to form one or several committees investigating whether it is possible to enforce such a law under the constitution, but National Convention deputy Af Nordling has instead passive-aggressively attacked the Minister by stating that the nation should not jump into the void of complicated democracy with nonfunctioning bureaucracy, she has instead vowed that she personally will look into the law and consult constitutional experts and the First Citizen to determine whether it is acceptable. From these two alternatives, the majority of the people leans towards the latter, mostly due to her presented "efficiency". Who ever might succeed the know larger than life figure Chancellor Erika af Augustine, will depend in the end of this month.
