The National Convention has now set out its budget, plans and appointments for the Davostani Defense Force. After almost no debate whatsoever, with only slight demands by the Fladborgian Club to increase the size of the forces. The Davostani Defense Forces has also now revealed its structural organization. The whole forces is comprised of three main branches, the Davostani Army (Davostani: Dovske Hær, Kivonian: Dovska Armén), the Davostani Navy (Davostani: Dovske Flåde, Kivonian: Dovska Flottan) and the Davostani Air Force (Davostani: Dovske Luftvåben, Kivonian: Dovska Luftvapnet). The Army is administrated by the Army High Command and is headed by the Inspector-General of the Army, the Navy is administered by its Navy High Command which is headed by the Inspector-General of the Navy and the Air Force which is administered by the Air Force High Command and the Inspector-General of the Air Force. The whole armed forces is administered by the Military High Command (Davostani: Militære Højkommando, Kivonian: Militära Högkommandot), which is headed by the Director-General (Davostani: Generaldirektøren, Kivonian: Generaldirektören). The newly formed Defense Intelligence and Security Service (Davostani: Forsvarets Efterretnings- og Sikkerhedstjenest, Kivonian: Försvarets Underrättelse- och Säkerhetstjänst) is also a part of the new armed forces. A new and more unknown organization has also been created called the Leitz Squadron (LS), originally a small paramilitary group within the Corridor Security, but now been upgraded as its own semi-independent organization. The LS is named after Grand Admiral Wilhelm Leitz, who was by the National Convention appointed as the new Supreme Commander of the Davostani Defense Forces. The Corridor Security has now been placed under the administration of the Leitz Squadron instead.

The National Convention has also made several other appointments such as former Lieutenant General of the Third Kivonian Republic and commanding officer of the Capital Defense Corp (CDC) Oskar Posse, famed for handing over the capital city Kivonia to the Hutorians during the Macon War. Posse was promoted to General and appointed the new Director-General of the Defense Forces. The Capital Defense Corp was revived again with former Major General of the Third Kivonian Republic and commanding officer of the 23rd Division of the 6th Corp, Saga Isaksson, promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General and commanding officer of the CDC. General Manfred Vinhamn has been appointed as the Inspector-General of the Davostani Army, Admiral Erik Sølhus has been appointed as the Inspector-General of the Davostani Navy and General Fredrika Almberg has been appointed as the Inspector-General of the Davostani Air Force. The National Convention also set out the goal of recruiting an estimated 20,000 troops until the date 31 December 4799, they also set the policy of letting each individual High Command of the respective branches of the Defense Forces handle their designated budgets.

The budget which was set about 40 years ago is still in place with an estimated 350,000,000,000 Davosti expenses by the Ministry of Defense. The budget plan for the military is as follows: The Military High Command - the supreme decision-making authority of the armed forces - will have a budget of 24,000,000,000 DAV. The Army of the Davostani Defense Forces will have a total of 50,000,000,000 DAV, of these 8,000,000,000 DAV will go to the Army High Command, 11,000,000,000 DAV will go to the Military Police Force and 8,500,000 DAV will go to the Military Police Command. The Davostani Navy is to receive 38,000,000,000 DAV, with the Navy High Command receiving 5,000,000,000 DAV of those. The Davostani Air Force is to receive 24,000,000,000, with 3,100,000,000 of those going to the Air Force High Command. The Defence Intelligence and Security Service will receive 15,000,000,000 DAV, with 1,500,000,000 of those going to the Defence Intelligence and Security Service Command. The Leitz Squadron has received 15,000,000,000 DAV, with 1,500,000,000 of those going to the Leitz Squadron Command and 4,000,000,000 of those going to the Corridor Security.

Christian Kvist arrested by KS agent

Early today at the Kivonia International Airport, to the airport personnel's surprise a familiar figure appeared, that being the former Secretary of State of the Third Kivonian Republic from 4754 to 4776, Christian Hans Kvist, the only civilian head of government of the Third Republic until 4773. The airport personnel quickly reported the matter, and when the KS unit came to the airport after 10 minutes, Kvist simply opened up his arms as to sarcastically embrace the officers. The 76 year old man told reporters at site that he was "very grateful to have been able to reach his homeland once more, to spend his final days there". Christian Kvist, born in 4715, who's grandfather served under First Consul Elise Reinhardt and great grandfather who served under Dictator August Reinhardt. A young Kvist joined the armed forces and became an officer in the army. He resigned from the army in late 4746 to found the Kivonian National Salvation Party in early 4747. He came to contact with military high-ups who wanted him to establish a "reinhardtian state" in Davostan, one of these military high-ups was the famous General Augustin Volkhardt who became a figure head for the KNSP. Kvist was made Minister of Internal Affairs in 4749 under Volkahardt's government after the KNSP won a landslide in the 4749 election. Volkhardt appointed Kvist as the new head of government in 4754 with the creation of the stratocratic Third Kivonian Republic. It is generally accepted that Christian Kvist was the civilian face of the Third Republic, and it is believed that he tried to keep the Third Republic a parliamentary stratocracy rather than a military dictatorship as some figures wanted it to be and subsequently succeeded to make it. Christian Kvist have up the position of head of government to the Shadow Council (which he was part of) in 4773. He tried to influence the decisions of Counselor Julius Callus when the Counselor took absolute power in 4774. In 4776 Christian Kvist together with other prominent figures of the government under the Shadow Council fled Davostan, some believe it was done to escape being associated with Order 0216. He had not been seen since his successful escape, an escape some believe was achieved with the help of STASÄ (State Security Service of the Third Republic).

The Ministry of Justice has announced that Christian Kvist will be tried by a public national court in the capital city Kivonia. The prosecution which was gathered as soon as Kvist's arrival became news has already made public their charges. These charges being: "Collaboration with the National Salvationist regime of the Third Kivonian Republic", "Participation and/or holding vital knowledge prior to the execution of Order 0216; with other words: Crimes against Humanity", "Participation in the Act of Aggression against the sovereign nations of the Commonwealth of Hutori and the Republic of Telamon", and serval other charges. The defense for Kvist had made it clear that they are going to plead not guilty to the War Crimes and to the participation in the Act of Aggression, however, that they are going to plead guilty in collaboration with the Third Republic which they added "something the whole population is guilty of".

Government reopens old mine in Sønderhavn, a new state-owned corporation to lead the project
The Government has in the recent weeks had deep discussions with the local government in Sønderhavn concerning the reopening of an old mine in the southern area of the Province. The old mine being used by former regimes seeking to extract the rare chemical element tungsten for high velocity armor piercing projectiles and other military productions for war.

According to economists a possible new industry could be booming in Davostag. The national government announced this week their intention of reopening an old mine in the southern part of the Province of Sønderhavn, this mine known as "Dahlgruvan" or in Luthorian "the Dahlmine", was the largest mine in Davostag, however compared to other mines around the globe it was relatively small. Dahlgruvan has been used constantly by former regimes for centuries of the single purpose of extracting tungsten for heavy military production for war. The national government has with the local one sought to distance this dark past by reopening the mine as the start of a new kind of industry in Davostag and Macon. The Ministry of Trade and Industry has taken charge over the supervision of the project directly to make sure of its success.

The Ministry of Trade and Industry also started a new state-owned corporation known as the "West Macon Mining Industry" or in Befäska "Västmakoniska Gruvindustrin Aktiebolag" or in Skrigere "Vestmakonske Minedrift Aktieselskab" or just simply VGAB for short. This corporation which has been given 200 billion Davosti as a starting capital, will from now on manage every mine in Davostag, thus making a complete nationalization of the mining industry. The Ministry of Trade and Industry has however not banned private initiatives completely but instead encouraged private corporations to invest with material and money to gain recognition as future partners for the Government in other projects. The Shippington corporation, infamously known for swapping owners between different political parties around the globe has also made a deal with the Government of a heavy investment of 6 billion Davosti, to cover the costs of shipment and transport for the extracted materiel.

The Government has made it very clear that this is not just a reopening of an old mine, but the expansion of a new bigger mine. The Ministry of Trade and Industry presented this morning their plans of expanding the mine to nearby areas of forests. The goal of the whole project is to continually expand the mine so to extract all kinds of material such as iron, steel, coal, but most importantly tungsten, which the Government has stated that they will use to hold a resourceful leverage in economic and trade dealings with other governments around the world, as well as modernizing and expanding the armed forces production of vehicles and ammunition. It is no secret that the Ministry of Trade and Industry seeks to make the Dahlmine into Macon's largest mine, and the heart of the mining industry of the continent and the nearby regions. The Ministry was also clear with making sure to use some of the Endralonian finical aid of 500,000,000 End - which is roughly 10,400,000 Davosti - to help organize the project. Some rumors circle around about a possible close trade cooperation between the two nations in the Unholy Sea, related to the mining project.

It has been projected that the complete renovation of the mine will be done until year 4795, but that small operations can begin in late 4793. The Ministry of Trade and Industry has with the West Macon Mining Industry completed the blueprints over the renovation and it has been proudly announced that in 4795, the Dahlmine will be one of the most modern and innovated mines with the most advanced and safe tunnel system in the world. The completion of the whole project has been estimated to be at the cost of 100 billion Davosti, but newer renovations and updates to the different sections of the mine will occur constantly to take care of the efficiency and hygiene of the work in the tunnels. The Ministry of Trade and Industry has also proudly begun a program of employment for people interested in working with the project and in the future in the mine itself, which has resulted in an almost ridiculous amount of people wanting a job in the new mine. The Ministry has shown numbers up to 50,000 new jobs secured just this week with even more to come, these numbers have been guaranteed to grow with the constant expansion of the mine.

Mass protests calling for the resignation of President of the National Convention Georg Lundell after he hid the election results
The people of Davostan has now gone out on the streets all over the nation to protest the decision of President of the National Convention Georg Lundell of hiding the National Convention results through corruption. Protesters have been met with force from the military police, who cracked down so hard that several people died.

The results of the election for the National Convention which took place on the 18th September 4792, were according to the Provisional Election Committee hard to count, as every recount apparently gave radically different results. A close ally to President of the National Convention Georg Lundell and member of the legislature proposed to continue the current term which holds the Non-partisans with 378 seats and the two other parties, the Fladborgian Club and the Nybergian Club holding 165 seats and 157 seats respectively. This would mean that the non-partisans would continue in power for 2 more years. The two political clubs were of course outrages over this and demanded that a proper recount to be made or that a new election be called. One month after the National Convention election and no results being made public, a anonymous leak was made from the Office of the Provisional Election Committee that Georg Lundell had his chief of staff Anders Manstrøm meet with the Chairman of the Provisional Election Committee Henrik Lagerblad to discuss "something important", this "important something" apparently were a "controlling" of the votes and making sure that the "correct results" had been made. The plan seeming to be to change the elections results slightly to make the non-partisans remain in power, however, it appeared as if the non-partisan lost so radically that it could not be changed slightly. A change plan was made to delay the results, for what reason is unknown.

The opposition parties attacked hard against this leak on Lundell calling for him to resign and inciting for the people of Davostan to protest and if necessary to revolt violently against Lundell, his government and the non-partisans. The Nybergian Club went further than their moderate counterparts and calling for a revolution to overthrow what they call "the Lundell tyranny". This recognition by one of the parties in the national legislature has made protesters more violent every day. With yesterday a police building being stormed in the city of Stormfall, this resulted in the protesters getting their hands on lethal weapons, such as handguns, and different kinds of rifles, most of them being automatic. Political analysts have began referring to this as a possible beginning of a revolution, that will turn extremely violent. On top of all this, another leak came out this morning from the Office of the President of the National Convention, claiming that Lundell has frequently spoken to his advisors and close confidants about a "Kingship", the doubt of not really knowing what it meant disappeared when the leak was reinforced by the fact that Lundell had asked his most senior advisor Pernilla Andersen to make a unpublished poll about what the people thought of "monarchism". The Nybergian and Fladborgian Clubs immediately mocked the President as "King Lundell", with protesters now shouting "down with the King!" and with critical analysts calling him the "Provisional Monarch".

One rumor goes that the Leitz Squadron, the organization which has been called "a state within a state", purposely led the protesters to the police building. Another rumor goes that Lundell had asked Director-LS of the organization of help to deal with the protesters, but that the Director-LS simply said that the LS was "in the service of the people, not against them", which has somewhat reinforced the theory that they are actively involved in the instigation of the to-be revolution. The Supreme Commander and Grand Admiral Wilhelm Leitz have also kept a low-profile as a popular figure, Minister of Defence and national hero Isabella Cederstam with much fighting with President Lundell, as Cederstam tried to reason with him to give in to the people's demand, when Lundell refused she resigned as Minister of Defence. Cederstam is now actively supporting the demonstrators and it is said that she contacted her former friend Grand Admiral Leitz to refuse any order given by the government.

The consequence of the two months of demonstration has been the increasing violence of the demonstrators who have began burning cars and looting stores, even burning the stores up afterwards. Because of the sheer amount of protesters, the police has had a hard time dealing with them. There is however one thing that upsets the demonstrators - or the revolutionaries they are calling themselves - the most, and that is President of the National Convention Lundell stubbornness to not give into the demands of the people. Even some non-partisans have began question the leadership of Lundell, many of those have openly expressed worry over the fact that Lundell actually made a poll to see if he could use it to become a King. The Nybergian Club's leader Maximus "Max" Robertson said this as a quick comment to a reporter: "His Majesty's [Lundell] days are numbered"

Revolutionaries deposes President Georg Lundell, the National Convention installs national hero Isabella Cederstam as its new President
Armed protesters now dubbed revolutionaries stormed the residence of President of the National Convention Georg Lundell and apprehended him. The National Convention with both Fladborgian and Nybergian Clubs together with the non-partisans installed national hero Isabella Cederstam as its new President.

This week the demonstrators who are now dubbed revolutionaries stormed into the residence of the President of the National Convention with arms and arrested Georg Lundell. More similar arrests were made against other Government Ministers. Some of the revolutionaries wanted to execute Lundell at the spot but one of them who has been regarded as a revolutionary leader, Alexander Segertopp stopped them from killing the President and instead ordered them to imprison him in an occupied police station, in central Kivonia. After hearing of this the Nybergian Club called for an emergency meeting of the National Convention, here they threatened the non-partisans and those skeptical of going over to the side of the revolution of being severely punished in "the name of liberty and virtue". The Nybergians proposed a three-partisan coalition, with all three of the Nybergians, Fladborgians and the Non-partisans in the Government with former Minister of Defence under Georg Lundell and national hero Isabella Cederstam as the new President of the National Convention. This proposal was met with ease by the non-partisans who feared that the radical Nybergian Max Robertson would head the government. Cederstam graciously accepted the position and began her term immediately on the 26th January 4793.

Isabella Cederstam began working to restore order to the nation and called for "national calmness". The people of Davostan have for the most part followed her advice, even the most violent of revolutionaries. The new Government under Cederstam is as follows: Minister of Foreign Affairs Sture Eriksson (Non-partisan), Minister of Internal Affairs Max Robertson (Nybergian), Minister of Finance Knud Magnussen (Fladborgian), Minister of Defence Arnfast Sandström (Non-partisan), Minister of Justice Juliette Sandell (Nybergian), Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Vivian Boysen (Non-partisan), Minister of Health and Social Services Anna Thøgersen (Fladborgian), Minister of Education and Culture Ove Carlsson (Nybergian), Minister of Science and Technology Albert Riis (Fladborgian), Minister of Food and Agriculture Svea Asplund (Fladborgian), Minister of Environment and Tourism Liv Bang (Nybergian) and Minister of Trade and Industry Margareta Bergius (Non-partisan). Cederstam quickly took charge together with Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Boysen to fix the destroyed infrastructure around Davostan, with the Ministry of Finance helping with costs, some of the finances for rebuilding have been taken from the Endralonian financial aid given to Davostan a year ago.

Isabella Cederstam also ordered the Minister of Trade and Industry to begin setting up bases for the 'Unholy Sea Enterprise' (USE) the Government recently formed with Endralon. The Eliseborg port, the closest major port to Endralon, has been commissioned to be expanded simply for the reason of this new Enterprise, which many economists in Davostan and Endralon has stated could increase the economies of both nations drastically. The USE will in practice allow for better trade relations between the two nations, the economy of Davostan could start to see the sunshine because of the simple fact that Endralon is considered a strong global economy, because of the revolutionary activities the citizens of Davostan are carrying out the Davostani economy has started to go down, but economists believe that this trade enterprise could hold up the economy of Davostan until the Government has gained stability and order over the situation.

Political analysts have begun looking into what the underlying idea of the revolution really is. The revolution does not seem to be just about getting rid of Georg Lundell, but the most important issue of the movement is apparently Unionism. Unionism between the two peoples of Davostan, the Davostanis and the Kivonians which have had a bitter struggle against each other in the last centuries. This is very evident of why the revolution has not completely stopped. The most important issue of the Nybergians and Fladborgians is the creation of a Union state between the two peoples. This is also why the revolutionaries in Davostan has begun using a gold-yellow, white and black-dark grey tricolor as their symbol, these colors being declared just recently by the National Convention as the Union colors of the two people, no real progress however has been made to change the flag of the Provisional Republic, but the Nybergians and Fladborgians are eager to get it passed. As stated by Max Robertson:

The revolution with these new colors are to represent the fight for liberty and respect between the ethnic groups within the nation.

President of the National Convention Isabella Cederstam resigns, the Nybergian reign of terror begins
The President of the National Convention Isabella Cederstam has resigned as the nation's head of government, reason being the continuing violence and murders instigated by the Nybergians and committed by the revolutionaries. Nybergian leader Max Robertson took office as the new President of the National Convention, and quickly began his reign of terror starting with the public execution of former President of the National Convention Georg Lundell.

Three days ago at noon, the President of the National Convention Isabella Cederstam announced her immediate resignation to the National Convention. She stated that the revolution is not proceeding as imagined and that the increase of the violence against normal civilians is something she cannot tolerate, but that her hands were tied by "forces behind the throne", Cederstam hinted in her speech that she had been forced out of the office, most likely by the Nybergians, but this has not been confirmed. Her successor was appointed at the same meeting of the National Convention, that being Maximus "Max" Robertson, the leader of the Nybergian Club and one of the leading proponents for more violence in the revolution. The actual truth is this, the Nybergians once more threatened the National Convention into accepting Max Robertson as the new President of the legislature, this was reluctantly done by the Convention as the revolutionaries had begun attacking and in some instances killed non-partisan members of the legislature. The new Nybergian Government was filled with only Nybergians and the Club began unlawfully throw out non-partisan members of the National Convention and steal their seats for Nybergians, thus allowing the Nybergian faction of the legislature to acquire illegal but total dominance over the nation, something that the people did not really care about. Possibly because of the Nybergian fanatical stance towards the revolution and the Union of the Davostanis and Kivonians.

The first act of the new President of the National Convention was to vote on the future of former President Georg Lundell. The Nybergians called for his public execution, something that disturbingly upset the rest of the legislature, but without the majority the non-partisans and Fladborgians could not do much but accept the reality that the national legislature had just voted to execute a former head of government. With the Nybergian seizure of power, the revolutionaries around the nation went ballistic against anyone who could be a suspect of anti-revolutionary activity, with Lundell loyalists being murdered openly on the streets. The border control officers have even stopped Lundell loyalists from fleeing the country with some even arresting them on the spot and handing them over to the revolutionaries. President of the National Convention Max Robertson also introduced an alternative method of carrying out executions, the guillotine. He declared:

The Revolution needs to progress. We as humans need to evolve into higher beings through better moral virtues. And we can achieve that if we clean ourselves from the immoral. Those who go against the Revolution, go against human progress and must be freed in the most humane way possible. That is why we introduced the guillotine.

The guillotine is apparently to be used in public squares for every citizen to see, the Nybergians have also began issuing lists of public officials and other people suspected of anti-revolutionary behavior, who are sent immediately to the guillotine. The Fladborgians have not made any public opposition to the Nybergian policies, but "the air could be felt" as one reporter put it when he visited the National Convention, with Fladborgian ideals going against the methods of their sister-club. The Fladborgians have been pretty clear about their stance against totalitarianism, something the Nybergians do not seem to care about.

The execution of Georg Lundell was carried out on the 7th August 4793 in a public plaza in central Kivonia. Hundreds of thousands of people came to watch the event that would go down in history as one of the most brutal ones. President Robertson announced the sentence at the plaza which went as following: "Georg Lundell, has been accused and sentenced by the National Convention of treason, hubris, and anti-revolutionary sentiments against the good will of the citizens of our virtues Republic. His actions have gone against the moral ground which our nation and its citizens was founded on. We hereby sentence "the King" to die!. As the last words of the speech echoed through the quiet crowd, the only thing that could be heard were the disturbing screams of a frightened man before he had his head chopped off. The radical revolutionaries of the crowd cheerfully screamed all over the place, while some truly began to question the purpose of the revolution. President Max Robertson then spoke once more to the crowd telling them that the revolution had just begun and that every loyalist and every sympathizer to the "Lundell tyranny" would suffer the same consequences as their master [Lundell].

The shadow scroll, named after its satanilic shadow ritual which was commonly practiced in the region of Bindeborg, is one of the longest (twelve meters), thinnest and easiest scrolls to read. Why has the Shadow Scroll done so much better than the other writings found in these caves, through two thousand years?
In a new study published in the journal Science Discovers - which is managed by a study group in the Vermillion University - the researchers tried to find out by examining part of the parchment carefully using all the X-ray and spectroscopy aids they had available. It turned out that this particular roll contained something that the others did not, traces of salt and mineral solution that were not found in any of the other rolls, nor in the holes themselves or in the Unholy Sea. "To develop the acceptable conservation methods that may help us preserve irreplaceable historical documents it is vital to understand the many assets of these minerals", the researchers wrote in the study summary.

Preliminary studies revealed that the Shadow Roll differed from most other fragments found on the Unholy Sea, in that it was composed of several separate layers. It was an organic layer of animal skin that served as the parchment's base, and an inorganic layer of minerals that may have been rubbed on when the parchment was finished. To find out what this inorganic layer consisted of, and if it was rubbed over the parchment on purpose, the team studied a fragment of the Shadow Scroll using X-rays and frame spectroscopy - a technique that reveals the chemical composition of a substance by studying how light spread in encounters with various chemical substances. The researchers realized that the roll was covered with a mixture of salts, consisting of sulfur, sodium and calcium, among other things. However, these salts did not match the salts that were naturally present on the cave floor, and it could therefore be ruled out that they ended up there for natural reasons. It is possible that this salt layer has contributed to the Shadow Roll being so unusually well preserved, the researchers wrote. But there can also be a natural reason why the roll breaks down over time. The salts found on the roll are known to absorb moisture from the air and its presence can therefore accelerate the decomposition of the roll because it is not preserved properly, the authors added.

The Vermillion University has taken pride in the success of this research project and made all kinds of documents to be published for teaching at other national universities and higher educational institutions. At the documentary that was recently made after this discovery by the University, it was hinted by the research department leader that the they [the department] will begin heavy research into archeological excavations of skeletons from primarily humans, but also other kinds of extinct species. This to help local and national archeological museums with prehistorical materials and interesting and other interesting artifacts. The shadow scroll however will only be available to be seen at the Vermillion University until the 16th October, where it will be moved to the large city museum in Eliseborg, Bindeborg, near the place where it was found.
