Government begins construction on the 'Temple of Glory' in Kivonia, followed by the sudden heart attack of the Supreme Chairman
The Government unveiled at the construction site to the public their plans of beginning the construction of the long planned 'Temple of Glory'. This being long planned by former Kivonian regimes, with the most notable of these being the Third Kivonian Republic which intended to use the structure as a token of victory when they had won the war, which they did not. After personally unveiling the plans, Supreme Chairman Pär Wall-Enberg suffered a heart attack.

The Government has in the past years looked over the plans for the massive architectural project 'Temple of Glory', which was originally mentioned by Dictator August Reinhardt in 4604, but had since his death been long forgotten until the Kivonian National Salvation Party started planning the project as a token of victory after the Macon War, but since they lost it was again abandoned. However, many revolutionaries has incited the idea of building it as a symbol of unity for the two people of Davostan. This massive construction will be a dome and have a massive plaza in front of it. No real vital information concerning the project has been revealed, not even the measures of it. This being done to possibly avoid sabotage, or a surprise for the people as the Minister of Infrastructure jokingly said. What has been revealed is that the cost of the project is over 100 billion Davosti, and that it has helped with decreasing the unemployment around the nation. The finish date is set to be 15th June 4810, in 5 years. Corporations such as the Shippington Public Management of Investments & Funding, has gotten involved in the construction and has funded a lot of the materials.

As the crowd applauded the Chairman after he had personally announced this construction at the site, it was noticed that he seemed to be quite whimsy, until he suddenly collapsed beside the podium. As the crowd started to panic, the agents around the scene immediately took action to call an ambulance, which had hurried to the scene in less than five minutes. The Chairman's collapse quickly became viral and as usual theories and speculation around this event started to circulate. The most popular being that the Supreme Chairman had been poisoned. After being at the hospital for several long hours, the chief doctor of surgery came out to the press who was waiting outside of the hospital. He announced that the Chairman had died of an heart attack, he also praised the doctors involved in trying to save the Chairman's life for their hard work. He also removed any suspicions around the Chairman's death by confirming that no poison had been found and that it appeared to have been a normal heart attack caused most likely by stress.

The news of the Supreme Chairman's death came as shock to the Government, the National Convention and the whole country. The National Convention called for a week of mourning and organized a state funeral which was held yesterday. The Convention also announced that elections for a new Supreme Chairman were to be held on the 16th June 4805, and until then, the government would be headed collectively by the National Convention. Pär Wall-Enberg born 12th February 4737, he grew up a mostly normal childhood and became a mostly unnoticeable bureaucrat in the city of Knivby during most of the tenure of his life. He affiliated himself with the Kivonian National Salvation Party during the Third Kivonian Republic - mostly because of practical reasons. He proved himself to be quite the charismatic speaker during the Davostani Revolution, during which he served as a revolutionary deputy in the city council of Knivby. During the fall of the Nybergians in 4794, he joined the Fladborgian Club and later on the People's Revolutionary Unionist Party, of which he became their candidate for head of state and government of the newly formed Union of Davostan and Kivonia. He won the July 4796 elections and was made the first Supreme Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Union, he has virtually been able to govern unopposed. The legacy of which Wall-Enberg leaves behind is the one of a "Father of the Nation".

A new political faction rises internally and externally of the All-Union Nationalist Party and the rest of the political landscape
With almost 25 years of rule, the All-Union Nationalist Party's current rule remains stable, however, despite the decade long unanimity within the party, one group has begun to emerge. This being the 'Populars', a populistic and patriotic faction voicing for the "common man". The uniqueness about it is the fact that its not only a ANP faction, but part of a larger political group that analysts say could acquire influence over various political parties and their policies.

Kivonia, Kovmark -The short term of Gustav Talendal was to most very unexpected, and the peaceful terms of Hubert Folke that has followed since has also baffled many political experts, with many stating that by now political infighting should be a heavy topic. Despite expectations, the All-Union Nationalist Party has remained unanimous within their organization, possibly because of its internal security apparatus that ensures loyalty of its members to the party and the general secretary rather than themselves. Popular support for the ANP is at a normally high 76%, this being mostly because of their success of creating a stable economic growth, that faced some hardships during Bundgaard's terms but was relatively easy to overcome by former Supreme Chairman Gustav Talendal. The party also can claim success of building up the nation's armed forces and the most successful of them all, having the population growth rise to an estimated 16,221,400 citizens, this being thanks to the 'Social Citizen Growth' program. However, the disappointment from not reaching the boasted numbers of 20-25 million has not been able to be hidden, however, experts on these fields have calculated that such numbers with the current pace could be reached in the mid 4830s.

Despite the calm nature of Supreme Chairman Folke's terms, a political faction has started to rise around the nation, not only within the ANP, but also as a political movement that experts claims could assert influence by converting members of existing parties to their ideology and from there exert power over policy making. This faction has been proclaimed as the 'Populars', with an ideology that represents in their own terms the "common man". Prominent figures of the faction has stated that they intend on influencing policy making in favor of those "who are not and can not be represented fully". One of these figures that stands out the most is a young man known called Julian Reinhardt. His appearance has stunned not only political commentators but historians and policy makers all alike, as it turns out he is a descendant of non other than August Reinhardt, the founder and Dictator of the Kivonian Republic, as well as the "Father of the Modern State of Davostan". A member of the ANP, Julian Reinhardt has since the emergence of the Populars, become known as a great rhetorical speaker.

Julian Reinhardt was born in July 4798, his parents are currently unknown but through DNA testing it has been confirmed. Julian has a younger sister known as Viktoria Reinhardt, who has risen through the ranks of the military and has made a name of herself as not only a strategic mastermind but also as one of the most beautiful public figures. Julian himself is a Lieutenant General in the army, and has proven to be a great tactician himself. He joined political life in the recent years and has steadily become a popular figure. He was appointed the mayor of the capital city Kivonia in 4819 at the age of 21, becoming the youngest mayor in the nation's history. Julian's position as the major face for the 'Populars', has been analyzed as a public challenge towards the leadership of the ANP, and that it major political intrigues are to be expected in the coming time.

Viktoria Reinhardt establishes control of the nation after weeks of civil and military conflict
The so-called 'Conflict of 4822' have now come to an end, as General Viktoria Reinhardt assumes the control of the government after deposing late Chairwoman Tyra Lagerkrans. Chairwoman Reinhardt spoke to the Congress yesterday, promising political, civil and military stability for decades to come.

Kivonia, Kovmark - To recap the recent events: Supreme Chairman Hubert Folke unfortunately died on the 23rd April 4822 in his sleep due to heart failure. This resulted in the Council of Ministers to assume collective leadership as usual until the scheduled early election on the 18th May 4822 had been conducted. However, due to the recent growth of the nationwide faction 'Populars' which converted many prominent politicians - some within Folke's second cabinet even - political intriguing started to boil over between hard-core loyalists of the All-Union Nationalist Party, and the Populars who have presented themselves as reformers of the "common man". Julian Reinhardt, a prominent Popular, was made Minister of Internal Affairs in May 4821, and just recently together with a few other Populars presented "evidence" of treason against rivaling loyalists within the National Convention and the Council of Ministers. With public outrage, the Council of the Union removed the powers from the Council of Ministers and evoked Article IV, Section 2 of Chapter III of the Constitution, which creates the 'Supreme Commission of Executive Emergency' (SCEE). The Council of the Union appointed Julian Reinhardt as its Chairman on the 4th May 4822.

Chairman Reinhardt tried to steer things towards continuing the same political stability of Hubert Folke, however, the main problem became the Leitz Squadron which rose in open rebellion on the 19th May under the leadership of Director-LS Erich Oesau. two days later, Julian Reinhardt, assumed leadership as General of the army to personally face the forces of the Director-LS. With a few skirmishes, Reinhardt was able to defeat Oeasu at the city of Stormfall. The latter, retreated to the city of Knivby, while the former headed back to the capital city Kivonia and received a military triumph when he entered it. During the following days, Julian Reinhardt, sent his sister Viktoria Reinhardt - whom he had recently promoted to the rank of General - to defeat the remaining LS forces. As Julian Reinhardt's regime became increasingly authoritarian, he was assassinated on the 3rd June 4822, by deputies of the National Convention, after fear spread that Julian might declare himself as 'Dictator of the Republic' an historical and absolute position in the Kivonian Republic created and held by Julian's ancestor August Reinhardt.

On the 5th June 4822 Council of the Union appointed Tyra Lagerkrans - a Popular as well as one of the conspirators in the assassination - as temporary Chairwoman of the SCEE. After hearing the news of her brother's death, Viktoria Reinhardt, marched on Kivonia. Lagerkrans, did the opposite as what the main conspirators had in mind, and became a de facto dictator more authoritarian than her predecessor. On the 8th June, General Reinhardt met Lagerkrans at the fields of Kivonia, where she defeated Lagerkrans after a few hours of fighting. Chairwoman Lagerkrans escaped into the city but died of severe wounds. On the 9th June, the Council of the Union, once more, appointed the victor of the conflict - Viktoria Reinhardt - the temporary Chairwoman of the SCEE. She set out an agenda to begin rebuilding the damage from the war, and held a public funeral of her brother on the 16th June - and with it almost deified him - and on the 18th June, she had Erich Oesau, former Director-LS, publicly executed. The Council of the Union honored her with the title of "Savior and Victor of the Union and Republic" on the 20th June.

Despite some wanting to abolish the Leitz Squadron, Chairwoman Reinhardt, has decided to preserve the organization and reform it towards a moderate reinhardtian one. Nothing has been said about the state of the union or its future, but the growing popularity of Viktoria Reinhardt and the martyrization of her brother, has led some factions to grow that espouses the wish for a reinhardtian state, led by the Reinhardt family. However, Viktoria Reinhardt, has clearly opposed the idea of a royalty and monarchy. But some has countered with the idea of a republican form of monarchy like the Kivonian Empire, which was proclaimed a "Republican Empire" by the Constitution for the Fourth National Salvation in 4620.

The State Collegium declaration of 4827 changes the face of the republican reality in the Union of Davostan and Kivonia
The newly established State Collegium of the Union and Republic, immediately began the process of choosing a permanent head of state. This, without surprise, results in Chairwoman Viktoria Reinhardt being given numerous titles and honors by the institution, as is the established custom for choosing a head of state.

Kivonia, Kovmark - The State Collegium. A institution recently established to choose a fitting head of state for the Union of Davostan and Kivonia. This head of state would replace the already suspended office of Supreme Chairman of the Council of Ministers. The catch here is that the institution has sole authority in doing so, but is closely observed by the Constitutional Council and the Supreme Court to make sure no violations of the Constitution is made. The interesting point of the whole process of electing an individual as head of state is that there exists no real definite position of head of state, but is simply artificially created each time a new individual is chosen. Some suspect that this does not necessarily have to be the case, and that the position of the previous head of state could be given to the new. Under the head of state, there is the head of government who holds the definite position as Chairman of the Council of Ministers, and will coordinate the more complex work for the head of state.

No real political leader of Davostan and Kivonia has been so beloved as Chairwoman of the Supreme Commission of Executive Emergency, Viktoria Reinhardt. Despite ruling the past years through authoritarian means, her liberal policies towards civil rights is one of the main factors for her skyrocketing popularity. The State Collegium, immediately looked into the matter of choosing Chairwoman Reinhardt, with a poll being made that showed an 87% support for her as head of state. So the State Collegium began the process of electing Chairwoman Reinhardt, and motioned to giver her the honors and titles of Princeps Civitatis Rei Publicae ("First Citizen of the Republic") and Altum Pilae Unionem ("High Pillar of the Union"). This was accepted unanimously. The next motion was a suggestion to make her the "Commander-in-Chief of the Davostani Defense Forces", as well as "Lawspeaker as Presidency of the Congress", the latter being a merger of the positions of President of the Council of the Union and the President of the National Convention, thus "Lawspeaker" is the person who presides over both chambers of the Congress. These two position was accepted unanimously as well. All of these titles and honors was collectively dubbed by the State Collegium as Ducissa ("Duchess"), something that sparked confusion over the institution's next move.

The formal 4827 Declaration of the State Collegium goes as follows:

The State Collegium of the Union of Davostan and Kivonia hereby declares, the Chairwoman of the Supreme Commission of Executive Emergency, Viktoria Augustina Reinhardt, "Princeps Civitatis Rei Publicae" (First Citizen of the Republic) and "Altum Pilae Unionem" (High Pillar of the Union). She will be named the "Commander-in-Chief of the Davostani Defense Forces", and she will be appointed to the Office of "Lawspeaker as Presidency of the Congress". She will with these titles be collectively dubbed "Ducissa" Viktoria I Reinhardt, of a revived Vermillion Dynasty, through a Reinhardtian branch.

ALL HAIL THE REPUBLIC! ALL HAIL THE UNION! ALL HAIL THE DUCISSA!

Their declaration seemed to contradict itself, by first declaring Chairwoman Reinhardt a ducissa or "duchess" of a revived Vermillion Dynasty, and later hailing the "Republic". The State Collegium explained that the lineage of the short-lived Vermillion Dynasty of the Kivonian Empire which existed from 4620 to 4628, still lives on, and that the direct and only descendant of Emperor Oskar I (the founder of the Kivonian Empire), through his daughter Princess Hilda, is Viktoria Reinhardt on her father's side. Thus, she has a legitimate claim as heir to the Vermillion Dynasty. However, due to the fact that she is the only living descendant of Dictator August Reinhardt (the founder of the Kivonian Republic; and Father of the Modern State of Davostan), on her mother's side, she has a "right" to fulfill the republican dream of her ancestor. This is why through consultation with the Chairwoman, the State Collegium has decided to revive the Vermillion Dynasty, not through the House of Hartenstein-Bergeshöhen, but through the House of Reinhardt, thus making the former extinct. The State Collegium has assured that the succession of the future ducissa will be solely handled by them, thus giving them the authority to remove the dynasty if necessary.

Some has called this a "republican monarchy", while others call it a "royal republic", but the fact that the republican institutions still maintain control over the future succession of the ducissa has calmed republican sentiments, while the more reinhardtian loyalists see this as a good compromise for preserving the republican ideals of [August] Reinhardt as well as for the stability of having one [a Reinhardt] governing the nation. Democratic forces in the nation are skeptical towards holding one lineage to govern, but expresses relief that the State Collegium and other democratic bodies can interfere to prevent abuse of power and dictatorship. The main critics say that the only reason why the State Collegium hails the "Republic", is because it is used as a facade to keep the monarchy hidden. On the 1st September 4827, the ceremony to swear in the new head of state of the Union of Davostan and Kivonia will be held, and the ministry of foreign affairs has invited all nations of terra to send a representative to attend.

Viktoria I Reinhardt swears in as Ducissa of the UDK
Despite skepticism from hard-core republicans, an overwhelming majority of Davostanis and Kivonians has declared their support for this monarchial move. The republicans have settled with the powers of the State Collegium, believing that they could depose the Duchess whenever they want.

Kivonia, Kovmark - The Union of Davostan and Kivonia; the republican dream of the Davostani Revolution, however, those born in the post-revolutionary period have not given as much sympathy to the revolutionary republicanism as the older generations those, which has resulted in a large majority of people getting excited over the fact that a descendant of both Dictator August Reinhardt and Emperor Oskar I still lives and has been active in the military and political spheres. This specific generation has been the strongest voices for a hereditary state under the Reinhardts. The current support for Viktoria Reinhardt lies at an overwhelming 86.7 percent.

This evening, Viktoria Reinhardt magnificently stood before the officials of the state, the deputies of the National Convention, the councilors of the Council of the Union, and many more in the Temple of Glory in the capital Kivonia. She took the golden wreath - which had been used by both August Reinhardt at his height as dictator, and by Oskar I during his coronation and emperor - and put it at her own head, while with eyes of pride looking at the massive crowd in front of her. Gösta Lars Törn - the man who has been designated to be the future Chairman of the Council of Ministers - stepped forward from the crowd and shouted "All Hail Ducissa Viktoria!", with the rest of the crowd following with a "All Hail Viktoria!" three times.

At the end of the lavish ceremony, the Ducissa swore the Oath of the Union which goes as follows:

I, Viktoria Augustina Reinhardt, do Proudly and Solemnly swear to Serve and Maintain the Integrity of the Territory of the Republic, to uphold the Spirit of the Revolution through Freedom and Individual Happiness in Service of the Union, to Protect, Respect and Ensure the Preservation of the Culture of the Nation, to Fight for the Rights of the Citizens, to Live and Die for the Liberty of the Men, the Women and the Children, with the Guidance of God and the Constitution of the Union and Republic of Davostan and Kivonia.

After declaring the oath, Ducissa Viktoria went on towards the main balcony of the Temple of Glory, to view the massive military parade and the thousands of people that had come to be present at the moment. She then greeted the many diplomatic representations around the world, one of these being Prince Adriano of the Istalian Empire the brother of the Emperor of the Istalians. As her diligence reputed, she immediately began working when she returned to her new residence, the Reinhardt Palace. Celebrations, however, are still continuing all over the nation, with many state officials caught drunk outside state buildings. The Reign of the Ducissa has now begun.

Kivonia, Kovmark - The country went through a massive change in leaders during this past eight years. The largest change to the country were its political system which transformed from a presidential republic to a monarchial one. And this monarch is a stunning one, considered cold but diligent, beautiful but also intelligent. Some of the Viktorian fans who love her personality calls her the Ice Queen. Nonetheless, she continues to surprise and adore her followers. As the leader who has done more for the country than any other these past decades, she stands as the ultimate inspiration for the young to seize their destiny and achieve their dreams. Despite all the praise, the Duchess is still human, and new information from her coronation three years ago could change the political and ducal courts of the country.

During the large dinner that was held between the newly coronated Duchess, state officials and diplomatic envoys, Her Grand Excellency, was caught giggling, laughing and enjoying the company with the Istalian diplomatic representative, Prince Adriano - the son of the late Emperor Michele II and brother of the current Emperor Tommaso II - who sat on her right side. Together with this, visitors to the formal residence of the Duchess, saw the two strolling around the gardens of the palace, seemingly enjoying each others company, both before and after the Duchess' coronation. These moments immediately sparked rumors and speculations about their relationship, with one leak coming out from the ducal court that the two actually has engaged in sexual activities that either borders or has crossed into the romantic field. Main supporters of the Duchess spared no second declaring their approval for a marriage between the two, which, if such a scenario took place, could strengthen the ties between Istalia and Davostan-Kivonia.

No comments have been made by the Duchess or the Prince personally, but the ducal press secretary did not outright deny that the two had developed some kind of relationship, during a press conference. He made it clear that for a marriage between the two, the Monarchy of the Istalian Empire had to approve it first and that they would not be quite sure how such a marriage would be received by either the Istalian Imperial Court or the Istalian people. This raised valid questions over the couples' backgrounds, with the Prince coming from a family which have prominently supported democracy for centuries, while the Duchess is descended from two families, both of which has contributed to authoritarian regimes, dictatorships and civil wars. However, many in Davostan-Kivonia stand against this by arguing that many positive liberal changes has been made because of them. Despite this, the Ducal Court has remained suspiciously silent on the matter, possibly waiting for a response from the Imperial Court in Istalia.

Duchess Viktoria's engagement with Prince Adriano of Istalia confirmed
With lot of speculations since the Duchess' ascension celebrations, the Prince of Istalia is said to have been carefully allowed by the Emperor of the Istalians Tommaso II to engage with the Ducissa of the UDK. The Union Government began with the preparations without hesitation and set-out the date of 5 June 4831 for the wedding. All of this seemed to tie together with the Duchess' recent state visit to Istalia, where she met Emperor Tommaso II, and is rumored to have gotten confirmation of permission personally.

Kivonia, Kovmark - The engagement which had been speculated about ever since Viktoria I Reinhardt's ascension as the Duchess or Ducissa of the Union of Davostan and Kivonia was finally announced upon the Duchess' return to Davostan-Kivonia together with Prince Adriano from a state visit to the Istalian Empire. It is believed that when meeting with the Emperor of the Istalians, the Duchess received confirmation personally of his careful approval of the engagement. The Duchess took the opportunity there to meet her fiancee's family and it is believed that she got a long very well with the Emperor as well the Empress. While walking out from the Kivonia International Airport, the Prince was seen accompanying her on their way towards the entourage. Which could have been a hint to the public of what was to come next. Three days later, the Duchess together with the Prince stepped out together on the balcony of the Reinhardt Palace and cheerfully announced their engagement.

The reception of the news was mostly positive with letters of congratulation amounting up to 600 thousand being sent to the Duchess and the Prince. Other not so positive where the more hard-core republicans who have used this announcement to prove that the "Republic is no more". Another group expressing their disappointment has been the far-right elements of the reinhardtian political support, who believes that the Duchess should have looked towards "northern terrans" such as the Dorvish, however, prominent far-right personas has calmed their supporters by explaining that the Duchess could simply take a concubine of Davostani or Kivonian heritage. Such comments have gained notice because of its hateful meaning, with political commentators doubting that the Duchess would use her privilege to take a concubine, as that would insult and straight-up humiliate the Istalian Imperial Family. Something which would cause serious damage to the relationship between the two countries.

The two is said to have began first a friendly relationship a few days before the Duchess' coronation - when the Istalian Prince had been sent as a diplomatic representative for Istalia - and developed it towards a sexual one, which is said to have begun right before the coronation. Servants of the Duchess' palaces confirmed that the romantic relationship was developed after the coronation and its celebrations. A few rumors have been spread that the Duchess might be pregnant but nothing has been confirmed and ducal officials have received the question they all responded with skepticism. Political analysts are sure that if a child is born between the two, it is most likely going to be designated as heir to the throne. Analysts have also stated that they believe that the Istalian Prince might bring democratic principles from Istalia to Davostan-Kivonia and might become a great influence on the nation as Prince-Consort. The date of the marriage has been scheduled to the 5th June 4831, with invitations to being sent out especially to Istalia and the Imperial Family there.

Wedding of Duchess Viktoria I Reinhardt and Prince Adriano of Istalia
At last the wedding between the Unionite ruler of the Union of Davostan and Kivonia and the Prince of the Istalian Empire has been held. With massive and long celebrations being held around the nation but especially in the capital. The couple's honeymoon was announced the day after the marriage, with it being planned in the snowy region of Dovmark at a ski resort.

Kivonia, Kovmark - The whole of Davostan-Kivonia and the capital city Kivonia, celebrated with high intensity the now married couple, Duchess Viktoria I Reinhardt of the Vermillion dynasty's House of Reinhardt and Prince-consort Adriano of the House of Appiano De Borromei. The two went through a three hour process within the 'Temple of Glory' in the capital, with many high delegates attending both from the Union as well as from the Istalian Empire. They later paraded their way towards the building's balcony to greet the excited people. With many songs being sung spontaneously by unknown members of the massive crowd, the first being the national anthem of the Union. The continued their way to the Revolution Square to be greeted by the first recruits of the Popular Guard, who swearing fealty to ducal couple. Followed by a one hour military and civil parade with thousand of participants holding carefully constructed signs celebrating the couple's union. The Air Force launched several planes up in the air releasing after them the colors of the Union of Davostan and Kivonia.

Flags were hung all over the capital as well as in every city in the nation. Large portraits of the two were also displayed at public buildings and squares. The two rode in a horse drawn carriage throughout the capital to wave and smile at citizens lined up on each sides of the streets. The carriage was drawn to the official residence of the two, the Reinhardt Palace, where they continued with many government and other state officials who followed after the two, to continue the celebration. All citizens of the nation had been given a temporary leave for a week to celebrate the event. With reports the same evening that hundreds had celebrated with booze and gotten drunk, but that the police force had been ordered to stand down in respect for the celebrations (except in serious circumstances).

It is said that within the Reinhardt Palace, the celebration continued throughout the night with many officials reportedly getting drunk. The couple spend most of the evening to socialize with friends and family, the latter being mostly the case for the Prince. The following morning, the Ducal Court announced that the ducal couple would spend a two-week honeymoon around the famous ski resorts of the Province of Dovmark (disclaimer: the region). As it is said that the Duchess has her own private one there, and that she is and has been for a long time an active skier. Servants have reportedly said that the romance between the two are undoubtedly strong and that they wouldn't be surprised if a child might be born out of the honeymoon.
