ZNZS conducts training exercise
The special forces of deltaria, the ZNZS, recently conducted a exercise to be better prepared for combat operations
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Cahtice: The ZNZS has been the special forces division of Deltaria for several decades now. Recent governments, most notably the later Federation governments, had neglected the division and left it in the dust. Upon the reformation of the Empire the ZNZS was in a poor state. Lack of funding, lack of properly trained operatives and a lack of equipment and leadership meant that the division was far from the important unit it once was to the Deltarian military. The FLS government of the previous term and the current KDU government changed this however. By enacting laws to rebuild the deltarian military the ZNZS gained critical funding amounting to a total of 1 billion. Furthermore the ZNZS leadership was reshuffled and experienced officers from the field now filled the leadership. This new leadership reformed the ZNZS and enacted their new training doctrines. These doctrines have for the past few years been used to retrain the ZNZS into a capable special forces unit. The funding gained from the government investment plan allowed the ZNZS leadership to repair, modernize and aquire new equipment for their forces making them more capable on the field.

All these additions, changes and retraining programs have now been put to the test by the Imperial Ministry of War and the ZNZS leadership. In a training exercise dubed "operation flying eagle" the ZNZS conducted a string of exercises centered around quick and descisive action and focussed on testing the combat capabilities of ZNZS operatives. The exercise consisted of mountain warfare in Doron Akigo, where ZNZS units where tasked with extracting a high value target. They had to do so without Deltarian air support and had to rely on their newly aquired mountain warfare training and equipment. Later during the week exercises where centered around quick descisive airdrop action in which the ZNZS used their specially modified attack/transport helicopters (Mi-24) to airdrop deep inside enemy territory and eliminate/sabotage several targets. These missions were both a success, although the ZNZS did encounter several problems and challenges along the way that are expected to be adopted in future training exercises. Furthermore the last training exercise of the operation which was centered around a amphibious night assault on coastal positions was only considered a partial success as ZNZS units did not fully complete their mission and were faced with unexpected obstacles.

All these problems and hinderences have, according to the Imperial Military Command Staff, been written down and are expected to be learned from into future exercises and combat missions.

KDU government to increase defense spending to 4% of GDP
Subsequently the first order for new T-80 tanks to replace old T-72 models has been placed and other preparations are made for the "Three Branch Supremacy" doctrine
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Cahtice: In a recent press conference First Minister Alois Horak announced that his government will gradually increase defense spending in the coming years. This increase will come in steps and will, at the end of this term, amount to a final figure of 4% of the Deltarian GDP. According to the First Minister the increase in the budget is needed to

"fully fascilitate the expansion of the Deltarian military and ensure that the Ministry of War has the necessary funding to abide by the Three Branch Supremacy doctrine as well as making sure that Deltaria can protect its own interests and those of its allies"

The new budget will allow the Imperial Ministry of War to research new technologies but especially allows the ministry to order new equipment and increase the size as well as improve the training of the military branches. The first step in using the additionally reserved funding is a focus on the Grand Army. The Imperial Ministry of War has therefor placed its first order with the DDS for the purchase of new T-84-Zeca main battle tanks. These tanks are comparable with the Trigunian T-80 but have been improved over the years. For example the deltarian T-84-Zeca model consists of a opposed-piston engine and is considered one of the fastest main battle tanks on terra making it highly capable of speedy maneavouring on the field. Other improvements over the trigunian T-80 include improved armour and a 125mm smoothbore gun. This variant of the T-80 has thus been ordered by the MOW to replace the aging series of T-72 tanks in Deltaria. The order will initially only include the replacement of half of the T-72 arsenal but will, in the coming years, fully replace the T-72 with the T-84-Zeca. A clear decision was made in the replacement of the T-72, as many had hoped they would be replaced with the T-90A. However the MOW weighed in the effectiveness of both tanks compared to the costs and estimated that the T-84-Zeca has all the capabilities of properly replacing the T-72. Despite the T-90A possessing more advanced and modern equipment it is considered to costly to be replacing all current T-72 tanks. Instead the military has put in an order for a small batch additional T-90A tanks on top of the replacement order for the T-72. This to make sure that the military still has the capability of using the advanced systems on the T-90A without the immense cost of mass producing them.

While the MOW has initially focussed on updating its tank arsenal it is also looking at other aspects of the Grand Army to look for ways of improvement. Under orders of the government the MOW has kept in place the voluntary system of enlistment that currently exists in Deltaria, limiting to a certain degree the amount of soldiers in the army. Despite this the government and IMCS has layed out their desire for a 600.000 strong standing army and are currently in the process of setting up a recruitment campaign to achieve this. Currently around 390.000 soldiers are in active service, meaning that a additional 210.000 would have to be recruited. Minister of Defense Oto Brotz has stated that his ministry has "confidence" in the upcoming recruitment campaign and expects to meet the 600.000 mark within the next 7 years. The recruitment campaign also includes certain benefits such as recruits getting a free educational plan once leaving the military, a monthly salary during military training and when in service as well as certain fiscal benefits to help them find a home after service. With all these benefits and the upcoming campaign the government hopes to achieve the 600.000 standing army mark.
The MOW is also looking at the possibility of adopting a new standard rifle as the current standing rifle, the AK-74 and its iterations, are beginning to show age. Early documents seem to suggest the AN-94 and AEK-971 are the most likely contendors to be adopted, both being originally trigunian rifles. Other changes are also underway and it is clear the Grand Imperial Army is undergoeing both a transformation and a expansion.

As of now no plans for the Navy or Airforce have been revealed, likely meaning that the government does not want to pressure the military budget further until major orders for the Grand Army have been completed.

Ministry of War announces naval expansion plan
As the first new tanks of the Deltarian Army arrive, the Ministry of War shows its plans for the near future of the navy
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Cahtice: The first new T-84-Zeca tanks are already starting to enter service following the order of a initial batch and the Army is nearly ready to modernize other aspects of their forces such as their rifles. But while the army is in the middle of its transformation rumours had already started to spread that the navy, one of the most important branches in Deltarian history, will receive its own expansion and modernization package soon. As the Deltarian economy showed promising growth last year and the Majatran Economic Association is starting off the KDU government is now in a perfect position to complete its military ambitions, while continuing to focus on growing the deltarian economy. For over 2 years the Army modernization program was the only defense program underway and no word was received over the status of the navy and airforce.

Early this week a internal defense memo describing "modernization" plans for the Deltarian navy were leaked to the press, forcing the Ministry of War to formally announce their plans. The "Naval Expansion, Modernization and Development Program" or NMDP as its called consists of a total of 50 billion in expenditures over a course of 10 years. The goal of the plan is to "modernize, expand and make effective the Deltarian Imperial Navy". The plan came with a detailed report of the state of the Deltarian Navy in which it became abundently clear that it is in dire need of changes and funding:

The current state of the Deltarian Navy limits it to operations in the Majatran Sea as it neither possesses the capability to properly project power nor does it have the means to defend the vital Deltarian coast in the case of war. As the navy's only strength is its Nemec carrier fleet it will have to decide what to defend and what not in its current form

The report was one of the main reasons for the massive project that the Ministry now wants to embark upon. Once again the plan is structured and includes several goals. One of the goals is constructing ships that can properly operate seperately from the current Nemec carrier fleet. This goal can be achieved via the construction of 6 new Admiral Gorshkov frigates. These frigates played a vital role on the old Deltarian navy and could do so once again in current service. These 6 frigates will be constructed by the Ushalande Engineering Group giving them their first government order in decades, putting to use their recently constructed new shipyards. In addition to the construction of the first deltarian frigates in decades the Ministry has also placed an order for the construction of new nuclear powered attack submarines which will officially restore the subnautical fleet of the deltarian navy after over 100 years of absence. A total of 10 nuclear powered attack submarines have been ordered by the Ministry of War and will also be constructed by the Ushalande Engineering Group.

As Defense spending is increasing and the government is putting out more orders for defense materials more and more companies related to the defense industry are popping up. Two of these companies are playing a pivotal role in the third and last stage of the MOW naval plans. This last stage is the desire of the navy to develop a new destroyer that can be used for escorting the DNS Mrazek supercarrier and for independent operations. This project, codenamed "Project 1100" is a unique one for the deltarian navy and overall defense ministry as it is the first time since the Nemec carrier that deltaria will fully develop its own ship. While the Nemec carrier was designed by the then Federal Defense Company, a state owned corporation, the First Minister Alois Horak stated that he wants the private sector to compete for the contract of Project 1100. In light of this two companies: ADAMEK and the company Bălgrad Naval Development, have come forward to compete for the design contract, promising to let either the Ushalande or Dissuwa shipyards build the eventual ships. The second company, Bălgrad Naval Development or BND, has already presented its 3D draft of the Project 1100 destroyer and according to naval specialists and defense experts it looks rather promising. ADAMEK has so far failed to produce their design as they have also been working on designing improvements for the to be constructed Gorshkov frigates. The Ministry of War will decide who will obtain the contract after both companies have delivered a working prototype by the end of next year. This is also one of the more costly parts of the plan and will cost more then half of the entire projects budget, costing a total of 35 billion.

Construction on the Gorshkov Frigates and attack submarines has already started and the entire program as a whole is expected to be completed within the next 10 years. The MOW has decided not to expand the carrier fleet, keeping the current DNS Mrazek as the only carrier in the Deltarian fleet for now. The Imperial Naval Staff has also convened to discuss possible changed to the naval doctrine and reorganizations within the navy as well as possibly organizing a naval exericse upon the completion of a majority of construction acitivities of the new plan.

The plan runs consecutively with the current army modernizations and reorganizations, with those finishing at the end of the year and the NMDP continuing for the next decade.

DAIP Passes controversial "Regional Identity Act"
The Doron Akigan Independence Party has passed a controversial "regional identity act" that favours doron akigan natives for certain government positions
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Ȝeomorceaster: The Doron Akigan regional government led by Thurstan Kottow and his Doron Akigan Independence Party has recently passed a law through regional parliament named the "Regional Identity Act".
This law favours regional government jobs to Doron Akigan natives and puts them ahead in the list of likely candidates above Daralians and other deltarian citizens. The law further states that Doron Akigans have a bigger right to housing and financial aid from the state then other ethnicities. Lawmakers of the opposition, namely the KDU which is in the national Deltarian government, have called the bill an outrage and a "direct breach of the constitution". According to Doron Akigan Prime Minister Kottow the law is "lawfull and justified" and is "needed to mitigate the effects of destructive anti Doron Akigan sentiments and policies in Cahtice".

While the law is in theory already in effect the national government under First Minister Alois Horak has denounced the bill and called on Federal Police in Doron Akigo to aid the population in any way they can and "not follow directives from local authorities until the current situation is resolved". The Doron Akigan Constitutional Court has launched a proceeding into the lawfullness of the bill and is expected to make its verdict public by the end of the month. Meanwhile local police agencies have made it clear they stand with the regional government and DAIP. The Duke, Vadir of Swaefheard, has remained silent publicly but has, according to insiders, had several meetings with DAIP party leadership and has unnofficially been supportive of the law. Czar Mikuláš has reportedly been outraged by the reports and has personally summoned duke Vadir to his Imperial Palace in Cahtice. Likely discussing with him the situation and ensuring he does not involve himself into the politics of Doron Akigo, something that will likely continue to persist even if the Czar does not agree.

While many Doron Akigan nationalists see this as a first step towards independence some Doron Akigan natives who voted for DAIP have stated to feel uneasy about their recent bill.

My neighbour is a Daralian. My nephew is a Alazindian. I want indepencence from Cahtice but i do not want my neighbour and nephew to lose their job or their house. Im not sure how to feel about this bill.

The DAIP has a total control over Doron Akigan politics with over 89 of the 124 seats in its parliament. The KDU, governing party over the federal government, only has 25 seats while the left wing "Doron Akigan Socialist League" DASL has the remaining 10. In this recent situation DASL, with its pro autonomy, socialist but anti independence stance has gained some traction in polls as some within the DAIP see their recent move as a bad one. Many now await the ruling of the Doron Akigan Constitutional Court to see if this already controversial bill will remain in effect.

Massive arms deals signed with Malivia and Kalistan
The Ministry of War, in cooperation with SATURN, DDS and UEG, has signed a series of arms deals with Malivia and Kalistan
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Cahtice: Deltaria has, for the past few years, restarted its once unmatched military industry. This revival of the dominant industry in Deltaria has made its mark as factories, shipyards and companies are expanded or made from the ground up in recent years. This sudden revival is not only needed for the domestic arms industry of Deltaria. Instead the Deltarian Government has been actively pursuing utilizing the vast military industrial complex of deltaria to produce weaponry for willing customers accross terra. This strategy would not only strengthen the deltarian economy and military industry, but would also ensure closer relations between Deltaria and the nations they sell the equipment to. A first and immediately major step in this strategy is the recent announcement that Deltaria and Malivia as well as Deltaria and Kalistan have signed comprehensive arms deals, selling billions in military hardware to the two nations.

The first deal was made between Deltaria and Kalistan. Kalistan, after its recent loss against Lourennais forces, is looking to create a self defense force capable of protecting its connection between Ananto and the continental Kalistani regions. To achieve this, the Kalistani airforce needs the capability and equipment to perform long range and short range missions mostly within the Ananto strait. To that end the Deltarian Minister of War, Oto Brotz, met with his Kalistani counterpart to discuss the possibility of producing certain jets and other airplanes for Kalistan. This resulted in the so called "Aerial Protection Deal". This deal consists of a total of 3.2 billion LOD in aircraft sales to Kalistan with the deal consisting out of Tu-142 maritime reconnaissance aircraft, The latest model of the Su-25 Frogfoot close air support jet and the MiG-31 Interceptor. The Tu-142 is a propellor driven aircraft refitted with advanced radar systems and other equipment meant for patrolling and reconnaissance missions over longer and medium ranged distances. 10 of these Tu-142's are to be constructed by SATURN with them likely being used by Kalistan to patrol and keep an eye on the Ananto Strait. The Su-25 Frogfoot close air support jet is a jet specifically designed to provide close air support to ground forces of the new Kalistani military and its newer version, previously developed by the Deltarians, is the likely version Kalistan shall receive. The deal states that 75 Su-25's have been ordered. Furthermore the MiG-31 Interceptor has been ordered by Kalistan. This jet, though old, is still considered to be a reasonably capable aircraft for the task it was developed to do: shooting down bombers and peforming other high altitude takedowns. The MiG-35 is also considered to be one of the fastest jets in Terra. Kalistan has ordered a total of 60 MiG-35's in the APD deal.

This marks a total of 3.2 billion LOD in aircraft sales to Kalistan. According to the Ministry of War the private deltarian aerospace company SATURN is currently processing the order and is likely to start construction with the help of the DDS, using several of their factories to produce the aircraft. While some lawmakers have issued concerns over the possibility of Deltarian equipment falling in the wrong hands the Ministry of War has issued a statement explaining that "the equipment being sold is using already existing technology that, if made public, would not harm deltaria in any way". On the question whether or not Deltaria will produce these aircraft for their own aerial fleet the Ministry did not want to comment. Likely meaning a no. The deal will last a total of 7 years, with the aircraft being delivered in batches until the end of the contract. Geopolitical analysts call the move a strategic play by Deltaria besides the obvious financial benefit, with the deltarian government likely to strengthen relations with the seleyan nation.

Malivian Deal
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Cahtice: Subsequently with the deal between Deltaria and Kalistan Deltaria has found another willing partner for its defense products. This time in Malivia. The country of Malivia has been struck by poverty and a relative low standard of living. Its government, which values defense spending, has announced that it intends of expanding its armed forces to accomodate for its future ambitions in the region and economically, hopefully being able to protect their economic interests. Deltaria has jumped into this gap, using its strong military industry and large arsenal of modern weaponry to pursuade the Malivians into signing a arms deal of their own. Deltaria has recently begun with pulling their fleet of T-72B2 tanks out of active service and replacing them with the T-84-Zeca, produced by the DDS. While at first it was believed Deltaria would dismply decomission the now obsolete tanks Malivia showed interest in buying them instead, hopefully making sure they have a at least partially capable tank in their arsenal. Taking into account the Malivian request the Ministry of War pulled the decommission order given to the Military Equipment Recovery Unit (MERU) on 200 of the 400 T-72B2 tanks that will be out of service at the end of modernizations and instead hired Car and Military private manufacturer PRIME to refit and repair them. 200 of the 400 T-72B2 tanks will now be refitted and repaired to be sold to Malivia in batches, amounting to a total of 400 million LOD in the end. To expand upon this deal even further Malivia decided to also order Deltarian military ships to bolster its fleet and ensure it can protect its coast but also possibly challenge its former claims near Selucia further down the line.

In a rather unexpected move Deltaria agreed to the production and sale of 3 Gorshkov-class frigates, the most modern frigate Deltaria can produce. In addition two older Slava-class missile guided cruisers have also been ordered, making the total bill for Malivia a large 1.2 billion LOD (Tanks included). While even more lawmakers and even military officials were critical of selling the Gorshkov to Malivia the First Minister intervened saying "We have made the necessary preparations to ensure that none of the sensitive and confidential data on hardware of software of the gorshkov will get in the wrong hands" likely meaning that Malivia and Deltaria have struck a deal concerning the possible resell of the vessel or sharing information on it. The ordered ships are to be produced by the Ushalande Engineering Group in their shipyards of Dissuwa and Ushalande. As currently the Imperial Navy still has orders on ships that need to be completed it is expected that construction on the Malivian vessels will start within 2 years and last a total of 5. Making the eventual delivery date of the ships likely to be in 7 years.

This deal also further strengthens relations between Malivia and Deltaria and is, just like the Kalistani deal, a way of furthering Deltaria's goals outside of Majatra and once again becoming the dominant weapon manufacturer on terra.

Doron Akigan Constitutional Court rules in favour of regional government, Federal government appeals to Federal court
In a suprise verdict the Doron Akigan Constitutional Court has ruled in favour of the "Regional Identity Act", prompting the national government to appeal
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Ȝeomorceaster: Early in the morning, as journalists had reported themselves outside the regional parliament, a representative of the Doron Akigan Constitutional Court stepped down from the large stairs. He opened up his paper and read out loud:

The Doron Akigan Constitutional Court, recognizing the great importance of self determination of the individual regions. And pointing to the federal constitution which grants these regions far reaching powers to determine their own regional laws, rules in favour of the Doron Akigan regional government in the case Kottow vs Horak

Journalists themselves even exlaimed, firing questions in a steady and quick pace. The representative answered few, reffering to the court its right to make such a verdict and then stepping back into the regional parliament building, where the court is also vested. It is a suprising verdict, one that many did not expect. The regional authorities are now allowed to enforce the Regional Identity Act even as the appeal is being processed by Federal court. Thousands gathered on the streets protesting the verdict, chanting "Death to Freedom starts with an Akigan" and groups of anti RIA protestors clashed with Doron Akigan nationalists in several towns accross the region. In the capital of Deltaria, Cahtice, Hundreds had gathered to stand in solidarity with those now being supressed in Doron Akigo. The First Minister of Deltaria, Alois Horak, who just got reelected, released a official response to the verdict.

Despite the overwhelming evidence that the RIA breaches the civil liberties of deltarian citizens. And despite the fact that freedom of expression, movement and housing is now being threatened which is against the federal constitution. The Doron Akigan court has decided to rule in favour of this bill. The have decided that the cause for independence, which many within the judicial and political system of the regional authorities are vouching for, is more important then freedom of expression and movement. I hereby announce that the Federal government has appealed the decision to the Federal court and that we are positive about the eventual outcome of the appeal.

The Deltarian government has filed a official appeal to the Deltarian Constitutional Court, the highest constitutional body in deltaria, hoping to still stop the RIA from becoming permanent. Doron Akigan Prime Minister Thurstan Kottow stated that he is "pleased" with the verdict, stating once more that "it is the Doron Akigan right to draft its own legislation. The Federal government should never have involved itself in the process".
Doron Akigan elections are scheduled for next year and many hope they the result of the appeal will be known by then. Czar Mikuláš has reportedly been having a furious talk with Duke Vadir of Swaefheard who has after that remained silent about the protests and RIA in general, making it look like the Czar has likely made him realize the severity of the situation. The DAIP is staying on its hardline stance to protect the bill and protests are only growing. The situation in the region seems volatile.

Deltaria, Istalia and Jakania launch the Majatran Jet Fighter Program
The foreign ministers of Deltaria, Jakania and Istalia met last sunday to formally sign the treaty that launches the MJFP
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Cahtice: A modern, agile, light and multi purpose jet. That is what the airforce of Deltaria has long been looking for. While the Imperal Airforce has the blueprints for the creation of R-37 5th generation stealth fighters these aircraft are of high cost and have, until now, never been produced by Deltaria in massive quantities. Other attempts at creating a multirole jet for deltaria have also failed quite significantly and have caused the Deltarian airforce to still lack a capable multirole fighter. While the navy and army are undergoing a costly modernization and expansion programs the Ministry of War had no funds to look for the purchase or development of a fighter on its own. In an attempt to cut costs, increase relations and cooperation between majatran nations and still be capable of developing a good multirole fighter the Deltarian Foreign Minister, Mahulena Kasnarová, met with her Jakanian counterpart to discuss the possibility of forming a consortium of companies to design, develop and produce a new multirole fighter. After a lengthy discussion both agreed to involve Istalia in this project too, creating a consortium of 4 companies, with the Deltarian SATURN and DDS sharing the deltarian share of the project while Jakania's Cakan Ulusal Güvenlik (Jakanian National Security) and the Istalian Magistro-Leonardi will take the share of the project for their countries. Thus creating a consortium that will collectively design, develop and produce a multirole fighter for the three nations under the Majatran Jet Fighter Program or MJFP.

According to the agreement labour on the project will be divided between the three nations, making sure that all benefit from the eventual production of the aircraft. The consortium was formed around 4 months ago and it has already produced a rough sketch of the jet they are looking to create, with the project now mothing into the deeper design phase before a first prototype can be produced. All nations have agreed on the fact that the fighter needs to be quick, agile and capable of quick strike operations. It needs to be light and relatively cheap to produce, to make sure that all three nations can produce and order a significant amount of them. The aircraft will be officially classified as a multirole fighter jet and all the necessary technology to make it one needs to be present. The consortium has already hinted at the fact that the jet might have a combination of both 4th and 5th generation technology, not picking between any specific line of hard and software but instead picking whats best for the different parts of the jet.

The Deltarian Ministry of War has stated that while the new jet will likely be the main multirole fighter of the Airforce if it proves to be good, the ministry is still discussing with the airforce on the possibility of ordering a additional batch of R-37 stealth fighters, which have proven to be highly effective in air to air combat, something the MJFP jet is likely to be less provicient in. If the MOW decided to indeed order R-37 jets it will likely be in small numbers, as most funds will be reserved for the new jet and the R-37 is considered to costly to be produced in major numbers as of now.

Project 1100 "in final phases of design", construction of prototype planned
The design of the nuclear powered destroyer being developed under the "Project 1100" name is nearly entering production phase
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Cahtice: It is one of the most important military projects currently on the books for the Imperial Ministry of War. The designing, developing and construction of their soon to be new nuclear powered destroyers under the "Project 1100" program. The ship will be one of the foundations of the navy, with its nuclear powered engines making the ships capable of long, persistent operations accross terra and its advanced systems making sure it can both be used for carrier escort and independent missions. The project, which has been underway for over two years now, is currently in the final phase of design, with the detailed designs now being finalized and preparations for construction next year being made. The Deltarian naval design bureau Bălgrad Naval Development announced this earlier this week. They will, upon completion of design, forward it to the Ushalande Engineering Group who will construct the first "Project 1100" prototype in one of the few freed up military dockyards in Ushalande.

Once the prototype is completed it will enter extensive sea trials, testing its nuclear powered engine by traversing large swaths of terran ocean, testing its advanced weapon systems and familiarizing the testing crew with the new ship. Once returned, the ship will be improved based on the findings of the sea trials and officially enter service after that. The MOW stated that if the project is deemed a success and the first prototype, after improvements, enters service the ministry intends on ordering a batch of 10 of these destroyers for the initial fleet, with the possibility of more being ordered if the navy requires them.

It is expected that construction on the prototype will launch next year and will last little over 1 and a half years.

RIA shot down by Federal Constitutional Court, First Minister send federal officers into Doron Akigo
The appeal of the federal government worked and the RIA has been declared against the constitution and out of effect immediately
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Cahtice: The Regional Identity Act passed by Doron Akigan parliament and its majority DAIP party has been struck down by the highest court in the nation, the Federal Constitutional Court. The RIA was passed by the Doron Akigan Independence Party in the hopes of favouring doron akigans for government jobs, housing and other benefits. According to the Doron Akigan Prime Minister, Kottow, the bill was justified as regional governments can draft these kind of laws on their own and "the federal authorities have violated the rights of doron akigans for too long". The Doron Akigan constitutional court ruled in their favour, saying it is within the regions right to pass legislation like this. The Federal Government under First Minister Alois Horak then appealled to the Federal Constitutional Court, which would give the final verdict on the matter.

The FCC released a statement upon making the verdict public saying:

The Doron Akigan government, though having the extensive right to draft its own regional legislation, cannot violate the federal constitution in such drafted laws and has with the Regional Authority Act violated the clause protecting freedom of movement and forbiding discrimination by the government. We therefor rule in FAVOUR of the Deltarian Government and declare the RIA bill invalid

Upon the verdict rumours began to spread that the regional authorities, namely the Doron Akigan Regional Police (DARP) would still enforce the RIA even with it being declared invalid. First Minister Horak, being done with the constant ressistance from Ȝeomorceaster, ordered around 400 federal officers into the region upon hearing the rumours and has made it clear that the RIA is truly dead. Horak also called with Kottow, presumably stating that if Kottow decides to continue enforcing the RIA that Cahtice will take over all policing acitivities and render the DARP and other agencies inactive until further notice. After the call Kottow met with other DAIP party officials and has, according to government officials, directed his local police agencies and other institutions to abide by the court ruling, ending a 5 year long dispute between the Federal and Regional government.

Doron Akigan elections are to be held in a few months and while the DAIP is still popular it is expected to lose its total majority, ensuring that such a crisis at least for now will not occur again. Independence sentiments do however continue to linger in Doron Akigo. It remains to be seen how long the newly established calm will persist.
