Deltaria backs Dankuk: "Dankuk in charge of its own sovereignty"
In response to recent threats made by the Kazulian government deltaria has stated that "Dankuk is s sovereign nation with its own policies"

Some within the deltarian government felt uncomfortable when Kazulia threatened with resuming hostilities with Dankuk. But deltarian president Fiser was clear in his weekly press conference.

Deltaria is in no position to dictate the foreign or domestic policy of Dankuk. CARSS is not a organization that forces its members into adopting a certain policy. CARSS exists to defend its member states from foreign agression and stand collectively to deter any such aggression. Kazulian rhetoric is extremely dangerous, they want regional peace but instead threaten to tear up a treaty and resume hostilities with one of its neighbours on grounds that both me and my government find rather dubious. Deltaria has aided Dankuk when Dankuk asked for aid and will continue to do so.

The deltarian government is said to be preparing a CARSS meeting between all member states to discuss the situation and possibly take extra measures to "secure our member state Dankuk.

Second Nemec carrier enters service, construction on phase two continues
As deltaria's second Nemec class carrier enters service construction on phase two of the naval expansion plan continues

After more then 6 years of construction and sea trials the second Nemec class supercarrier of the deltarian navy finally entered service earlier this week. The new carrier is one of two Nemec class carriers in the deltarian navy. The Nemec class is the largest class carrier on the planet and one of the most advanced carriers currently available as well. It can carry up to 80 aircraft which is twice as much as the smaller Yegorovich class carriers in the deltarian navy and has advanced features that Yegorovich carriers lack like advanced anti air measures, electronic launch systems to launch aircraft efficiently and modern radar systems amongst other things.

While the navy celebrates the entry of another Nemec carrier into the fleet it is now once again fully focussing on the construction of Phase Two of the expansion plan for the navy called "Plan Forward" according to the MoD phase two is already in full progress with 2 cruisers and 4 highly modern Gorshkov class frigates currently all under construction. It will take another 3 years for these ships to enter their sea trials after which the remaining 13 destroyers and 6 corvettes planned in phase two will enter their construction period.
The expansion plan is part of a new doctrine launched by the government called the Fiser Doctrine, named after the current president Radoslav Fiser. The doctrine focusses on the constant expansion of the armed forces and a gradual annual increase in defense spending in order to defend from the great and regional powers pitted against deltaria and its allies. The final goal of the doctrine is for Deltaria to reach a point where it can succesfully defend deltaria in a defensive war when pitted against two other great powers and where it has garissons placed in most CARSS member states to help these states defend themselves as well.

The ground forces had also launched major expansions and modernizations following the budget increases with hundreds of additional tanks and other armoured vehicles planned or already constructed and the expansion and modernizations of anti air units as well as the expansion of the amount of carreer soldiers in the army. The airforce is also gradually expanding nd modernizing with the new SU-1 CAS jets and MiG-36 multirole fighter jets in full production, the new UGAV drones entering service and the modern stealth fighter the R-37 also undergoing modernizations.

The Fiser Doctrine has however caused some problems domestically with the massive military spending putting pressure on social services and the budget as a whole, causing major protests 2 years ago. While the government managed to contain and solve the issues and protests for now the continuous increase in defense spending each year may create more problems in the future.

Deltarian Nuclear program reaches new stage, testing of nuclear warheads planned
After international controversy surrounding the deltarian nuclear program the MoD and FKA hav announced a date for the testing of nuclear warheads which marks the beginning of a new stage for the deltarian nuclear program

When Vanuku condemned deltarian nuclear tests and called for other nations to do the same many wondered if deltaria would stop its program under international pressure. But quickly after Vanuku made its demands and allegations the deltarian president made clear that his country had "no intention" of stopping its nuclear program.

Following that statement a year ago the MoD and FKA have today announced that the nuclear program has reached a new stage in development.
In a detailed report the Ministry and Space Agency (which is tasked with developing the missiles for the nuclear program) described that development on the nuclear warhead capable of being installed on the newly developed missiles of the FKA has reached its "final stages" and that in march next year the MoD will launch several underground tests of the warhead before installing it on the planned missiles.

The new missiles are not yet finished as the FKA is making final adjustments to its design. It is expected that the nuclear warheads will be ready before the missiles themselves are which will cause a overall delay in the program.
If the tests prove to be succesfull the deltarian nuclear program will reach its final stage which will be installed the nuclear warheads on the new missiles. The report suggests that the entire program will last another 3 years before the first nuclear capable ICBM is finished. But according to experts many things could still go wrong during the testing phase of the program and some say the completion date may be more then 5 years away, which would mean a 2 year delay if compared to government estimates.

President Fišer announces retirement late next year, first ever party congress to elect new president
After ruling the country for over 22 years and serving as foreign minister before that deltarian president Radoslav Fišer has announced his retirement from the presidency and politics in general

After the first FDSR president Igor Hošek was ousted as president following pressure from the constituent republics to do so then foreign minister Radoslav Fišer was appointed by the central committee of the SLS as the new president of the FDSR, marking the beginning of a 22 year old reign that would see deltarian influence accross terra grow substantially in the form of CARSS and the many military expansions the country underwent. Fišer let the country during the Temanian civil war in which, at the end, a socialist government prevailed and took control over the temanian government. Fišer oversaw the largest CARSS membership expansion ever during his time a president, welcoming Trigunia, Kalopia, Jakania, Dorvik and Dankuk into the coalition, despite two of these leaving recently.
Fišer also oversaw the succesfull deltarian moon mission and a renewed interest of deltaria and its allies to increase efforts for space operations.

But the largest legacy that will be left behind by the now 72 year old Fišer is above all the immense influence Deltaria has gathered accross the planet in recent years. Becoming one of the foremost powers on Terra embroiled in a ideological clash with two other great powers.
During his time as foreign minister he was already renowned for signing the Treaty of Cahtice with Vanuku, dividing Jelbania into sphere's of influence and signing a 10 year non aggression pact with Vanuku. This steadfast decisionmaking continued during his tenure as president and has accumulated to this point. The official date for his retirement is currently set for december 4555. According to the wishes of the president a new leader will be elected by the party in the federal council in what will become the first ever party congress of the Socialist People's Party.

During this congress the 750 members of the party in the Federal Council will elect a new president. No candidates have put themselves forward yet but many expect that Fišer will put forward his longtime advisor Matouš Rezek as a potential candidate. Rezek is known for his believes that are similar to those of the current president. A Pragmatic style of leadership while also being relatively hardline in favour of the party. Official candidates will likely be announced in the upcoming months.

The first Congress of the Revolutionary faction
ČACHTICE - The far-left of the Socialist People's Party has finally launched an official party faction, known as the Revolutionaries, in opposition to "the excesses of the Radical government in dealing with popular manifestations" and "to the betrayal of socialism and Metzism".

Member of the Alazindian Republican Council, Oleg Adámek, a long-standing opponent to privatisation and the restrictive measures imposed by the Radical government, has spearheaded the formation of an opposition faction within the party for a number of years. His efforts have finally paid off, with the creeping Presidential selections and increasing scepticism from many on the left wing of the continued rule of the Radicals.

The new faction, which held its first Congress yesterday, has announced that its primary aim "is the restoration of Deltarian socialism, on the principles of decentralised planning, workers' self-management and economic democracy". However, it also pushes for liberalised civil life, in particular political rights, including the ability to criticise the party more openly, in "the spirit of Leonidist democratic centralism", as well as a religious thaw, with many faction members having ties with Hosian communists in the Deltarian branch of the Terran Patriarchal Church.

In foreign affairs however, the party is even more hardline than the Radicals, supporting the exportation of the revolution at a greater rate. Observers have called this group Kaminskist, but officially, it only identifies as "orthodox Leonidist". However, it seems to be a syncretism of many far-left, Metzist communist ideas, taking inspiration also from Willemburgism, left communism and council communism.

Orel-45 prototype finished, enters testing phase
The "Orel-45" prototype as the UCGV is called has finished construction and has started official ground testing

The unmanned carrier ground vehicle or UCGV called the Orel-45 has, after 5 years of development and construction, has finally been completed. The first prototype model of the unmanned "tank" as some call it was released for testing earlier this month with PRIME delivering it to the MoD. According to sources within the ministry the Orel-45 will be tested in both Deltaria, Dankuk and Temania under different circumstances and on different terrain like the grasslands of deltaria, urban areas or the jungle in Temania. It is expected that extensive testing is required before the final model will be entering construction.

The Orel-45 was announced 5 years ago as part of a plan by the Ministry of Defense to invest in new technology to improve the urban and close quarters warfare capabilities of the army. With this new unmanned vehicle the army will be able to safely operate a new piece of heavy equipment to support infantry units in urban and other close quarter areas, causing the amount of casualties during operations to be potentially lowered and causing the overall danger during operations.

The Orel-45 prototype will be tested for 2 years before a final report on its functionality shall be released.

Revolutionaries publish "Basic Programme"
The new faction has determined its plans for Deltaria if they come to power

ČACHTICE - With the Revolutionaries slowly establishing themselves within the SLS, they have held their II Congress, at which they debated, voted on and adopted a so-called "Basic Programme", outlining their plans for the Federation if elected in the Republics or even the Federal Council.

The main points in this newly adopted manifesto of sorts, are the reinstatement of socialism, albeit in a decentralised, democratised form, as well as liberalisation, in particular, religion. Controversially, it also includes promises to democratise the army, which has led to discourse in the General Staff of the Deltarian Armed Forces. The faction also promises more stringent ecological regulations, which will apply to the future socialist economy.

With general elections in July and President Fišer resigned, the Radicals are going to face their first major challenge, and the Revolutionaries, their first test.

The Radicals have emerged with an overwhelming majority, with comrade Rezek elected as President, but the Revolutionaries have shown themselves capable of winning seats, in particular in the Darali Socialist Republic

The opening session of the new Federal Council
ČACHTICE - With the polls closed an ballots counted, the new deputies of the Federal Council have been summoned to Čachtice. The results have kept the Radicals in a firm position to govern but the Revolutionaries have been successful in capturing a number of seats.

Turnout wasn't as high as expected, at 56%, which likely hurt the Revolutionaries more than the Radicals, however the leftists have been successful in establishing a basic foothold in the Federal Council at 63 out of 750 seats. The Radicals have won the remainder of the Council, as well as the Presidency, with comrade Matouš Rezek sworn in yesterday before the new legislature. The Council of Ministers is unlikely to change unless the party decides to adopt a system of collective leadership, allowing the Revolutionaries a number of Ministries.

On a local level, the Revolutionaries have been very successful in Darali, winning 34% of the vote in the Socialist Republic, and are likely to exert significant influence over the decisions of the Republican Council. Elsewhere however, including the faction leader's, comrade Adámek's, home SR of Alazinder, the Revolutionaries have failed to win over much of the electorate, with the exception of Ushalande, where they gained slightly under 8%.

For the next six years, the Radicals are likely to govern safely, but the Revolutionaries are rapidly giving chase.

Gorshkov class Frigates, Slava class cruisers and Steregushchiy class corvettes enter seatrials, destroyers and remaining corvettes entering construction
After 4 full years of intense construction the 4 Gorshkov class frigates, 2 slava class cruisers and 6 Steregushchiy class corvettes of phase two have entered their sea trials, the remaining 13 destroyers and 6 corvettes of phase two have entered construction phase

After 4 full years of construction, over 4 billion LOD in costs and one of the most challenging and quick construction periods in the DOF's history the planned Gorshkov class frigates (4), Slava class cruisers (2) and Steregushchiy class corvettes (6) have entered their sea trials earlier this month. These new additions to the fleet are expected to officially enter service at the beginning of next year. While this phase of the "Plan Forward" naval expansion plan was already challenging Phase Two in its entirety has not yet been finished. Around 13 destroyers and 6 corvettes are still on the planned schedule for construction and given the nature of these ships the MoD has requested the DOF to start construction on all these ships simultaniously, causing every shipyard in Deltaria to currently be reserved for naval ship production which in turn leaves no shipyard left for possible repairs if needed for the upcoming 3 to 4 years of construction. The 13 destroyers will, according to MoD and DOF sources, be constructed in record time just like the Gorshkov frigates while the corvettes, for which the time of construction already is lower then other ships, will be constructed in their usual timeframe of 3 years.

While the DOF is challenged every single day with the ambitious "Plan Forward" of the Ministry of Defense and government as a whole the state construction company believes that it will, as a whole, come out better and more experienced after the entire plan is completed. Some reports suggest that the DOF does not have enough men to employ for construction but the company itself has clearly stated that it will fullfill the government order in its "full capacity" without any major delays.

With these new fine additions in the form of the 4 new modern frigates and 6 corvettes currently in sea trials the navy is finally seeing the effects of the naval expansion plan. If the ships currently under construction are completed only phase three of Plan Forward will be left to enter construction phase. Phase Three is the least intensive of all phases, in this phase 4 additional Gorshkov class frigates, 2 additional Slava class cruisers and another 6 Steregushchiy class corvettes will be constructed after which the naval expansion plan will finally be finished. Overall "Plan Forward" will be fully finished 7 to 8 years from now.

CARSS members hold "Northern Light" combined arms exercises in Dorvik
With CARSS shrinking in size its members are trying to maintain most of their power. With the Northern Light exercises the remaining CARSS members are training their combined strength as tensions grow

With more CARSS members leaving the alliance, including one of its founding members Dundorf, many accross terra wonder if the alliance is still functional or if it is losing its power quickly. But this month the leader of the coalition, Deltaria, is proving that the CARSS alliance still packs a punch and is far from paralyzed. The remaining members Jakania, Dankuk, Dorvik and Deltaria conducted the first combined arms exercises of the CARSS alliance called Northern Light. These exercises are not only the first combined arms exercises of the different armies, navies and airforces but is also one of the biggest exercises held in recent years by any nation or coalition of nations. With over 200.000 soldiers in total coming from all the CARSS member states, at least 400 tanks old and new, modern equipment, artillery batteries and much more, air units, and a variety of ships including several aircraft carriers from both Dorvik and Deltaria.

The exercises started with combined naval exercises between the different navies, showing clear coordination the ships of the different navies peformed better then expected but left some improvement to desire. Following the naval exercises the NNS, which is the marine component of the deltarian navy, launched their first officials exercises, using their new ZBD amphibious assault vehicles to assault several strategic points along the Dorvish coastline supported by both deltarian and Dorvish airpower they stormed key objectives and neutralized enemy targets as intended.

The exercises continued with a mix of Deltarian, Jakanian, Dankukian and Dorvish ground forces holding a dozen ground exercises all accross dorvik. With deltarian troops teaching Jakanian and Dankukian troops latest tactics while the Dorvish teached their world renowned tactics to the troops of the other nations. Several exercises included both assault as well as defence tactics, endurance tactics in which troops had to hold key objectives for a specific amount of time as well as combined arms offensives including airpower from all CARSS nations providing CAS support and air superiority to the troops below.

A main objective of the exercises was better intergration and cooperation between CARSS members which, according to the MoD, has been achieved succesfully, with the less succesfull parts of the exercises being reviewed and used to improve.
The "Northern Light" exercises lasted a complete month in total.
