Sultan-Consort Juliana Mede and son Set Escape Custody

A host of corpses now occupy the compound where the Republican Forces had held Mede. while a mostly bloodless operation saw her son being removed from the education centre. This comes following numerous defeats of the Sultanate Forces in Barmenistan. It is currently unknown who organised the escape whether it be Sultanate Loyalists within Bermenistan or their allies abroad. Their location is currently unknown but they will likely flee to Deltaria which has in the past accepted an asylum request from another escaped Thaller almost a decade ago. Deltarian Minister for Foreign Affairs Miloslaw Masur declined to comment on this possibility. The fate of other Barmenistani Royals is unknown at this time as many have managed to avoid Republican custody.

Deltaria Grants Sultan-Consort Juliana Mede and son Set temporary asylum

Following their escape from Republican Custody in Barmenistan, the Consort Juliana Mede and her son Shb were granted temporary asylum. An official statement announcing the acceptance of the request was made.

Sultan-Consort Juliana Mede and her son Set were being held illegally by Republican Forces who impeded upon the legitimate Sultanate Government in Barmenistan. Mede was subjected to unfair treatment and was given a limited capacity to defend herself against the charges. Shb had been delivered to a state education facility against his will which violates rights of parents and their children. While the Government was not involved in allowing both to escape, we commend those who undertook it for their intentions are pure of heart. We hereby grant Juliana Mede and her son Set temporary asylum until negotiations with Selucia are completed to ensure Juliana and her son are able to live in freedom and safety.

Given the animosity between The Sultanate and Selucia in the past and the recent restrictions preventing the Wolfsheim Plague such a negotiation may be quite difficult to accomplish.

Deltarian Government Implements Further Border Restrictions

Wolfsheim Detected in Čachtice International Airport

A traveller from Dorvik attempting to enter Deltaria was asked to step aside for further inspections following his showcasing of the familiar symptoms of the Wolfsheim Plague. A series of tests were run on the individual and the diagnosis was confirmed. Flight Crew had noticed the familiar symptoms and alerted airport security who were ready when he got off the plane. Subsequent inspections of others on the same flight did not detect the symptoms though the non connecting passengers were required to stay in the airport for 48 hours to see if they had the infection. The plague stricken man from Dorvik is currently being held in a secure containment facility.

For now, it appears that Wolfsheim has been prevented from reaching Deltaria however the appearance of an infected passenger trying to enter the country will inflame fears about a possibly inevitable Deltarian outbreak.

Juliana Mede Ready to be Transfered to Selucia

Deltarian Officials announced today that they were satisfied with the negotiations with Selucia and are ready to send Juliana over there. With the limit of 100 people entering the nation every day, the method of travel will need to be confirmed by Selucia.

Juliana Mede Ready arrives in Selucia

Following the organisation of transport for Juliana, she has now arrived in Selucia where she will be tried soon. When she arrived, Juliana was taken into custody by Selucian Authorities. Given her family background, it is likely that she will have access to a fairly skilled defence team to contest the charges. The Deltarian Government announced it would not be funding her defence but head of the Deltarian Thaller Branch Norbert Von Thaller indicated that he would support the legal costs.

Wolfsheim Reaches Deltaria

Despite border policies that were deemed effective in preventing it from reaching Deltaria, reports have begun emerging in Southern Dissuwa of infected persons. As of now, strict quarantines have been put in place in Southern Dissuwa which are limiting the ability of people to leave or enter the region.
