SDLS WINS ELECTIONS
The SDLS has become the biggest party in the People's Hall but will they be able to create a government?

The Social Democratic People's Party has only won 3 seats but despite this they have become the biggest party in the People's Hall.
The MTA had to split their right wing part of the population with the new OPS which won 17 seats. With 58 seats the SDLS is the biggest but it could prove hard to create a coalition, the OPS is seen as the only possible option but it could prove difficult to find a common platform to create the government on. Not only this is hard but the fact that the presidency is in the hands of a MTA Thaller could even make a SDLS coalition impossible.

Our party hopes the president can stay neutral as he is supposed to and give all party's a fair chance on getting into government. The largest party should be respected by the president and we expect he will

Said Kamil Novak during his response on the election win.

The new president will have to decide upon the new coalition in the upcoming months. 55% of the population has trust in the new president's ability to be a symbolic and neutral body while 45% believes he has to much to lose and is more on the Thaller side then the neutral one.

We will have to see what happens

SDLS AND MTA CREATE GRAND COALITION
The SDLS gets to lead the new government with the MTA

In a massive suprise the People's Hall has today passed a coalition of SDLS and MTA that will lead the nation for the upcoming 6 years.
The SDLS and MTA have been enemy's since the creation of the SDLS (Formerly SU) this rivalry was not only caused because of the massive difference in ideology of the 2 party's (1 socialist the other conservative) but also by the fact that the 2 party's even fought a brief civil war because of their opposite believes.

But today the unthinkable has happened. A coalition between the 2 party's has been created with a overwhelming majority of the Hall now under their control. The SDLS will lead this new government which has been created under a compromise of "Social Conservatism"

This government may come as a suprise for most but we have been negotiating for months before we came to this decision. We believe that the MTA has realised the importance of democratic cooperation and mutual understanding. This country needs change if we want it to elevate to a new level and after intense negotiations our party has enough confidence that the MTA and SDLS can bring the change this country needs and present us as a global power for one of the first times in our history. The MTA voted in favour of our education bill which made it mandatory for children to go to school further strengthening our possibility for a future among the great nations of not only Majatra but of Terra and because of the MTA voting in favour of this bill we had enough trust to go ahead with this coalition. We have already started negotiating on the Deltarian return in the MA and will soon propose massive reforms to make our nation the free, modern and well cared for state that it deserves to be. We have always encouraged cooperation and compromise in the name of the nation and this coalition is exactly what represents both of those principles.

Said Prime Minister Kamil Novak during his response on this special and unexpected coalition.

The government already proposed the lowered authority of nobility rights in preparation for a return in the MA. This bill will likely pass with the support of both the MTA and the SDLS.

GOVERNMENT PROPOSES MASSIVE BUDGET REFORM
Over 400 billion DTE is cut from the ministry of defense removing the year long deficit and creating a massive surplus

The SDLS minister of finance has proposed a massive budget reform after consulting the government. This massive cut is needed according to the minister because of the overfunding of the military and the "dangerous budget deficit that threatens our credibility" With this cut the government gets such a high surplus that massive investments in for example Healthcare and Education are possible. This surplus will also be kept in place to pay off the massive debt that Deltaria has accumulated in previous terms.

Here is the full address of the minister of Finance Dušan Brož in front of the People's Hall:

This bill marks a new Era in Deltarian policy. The military has been fed with endless amounts of money without any real results.

We can let our great military run without such a massive cash reserve. Therefor i as minister of finance have consulted with many experts and with the rest of the government into making this massive budget reform. We will cut 400 billion DTE out of the military budget. Most of this money was not even used by the army and was just put in reserve for any possible events to happen. This massive cut in the military gives us an immediate surplus in the budget after years and years of running on a massive deficit.

This will however not hurt the quality and quantity of the army which will still receive a massive 600 billion DTE to run their operations. This is certainly more then other Majatran nations and will still give us an advantage.

This bill will also invest billions into other ministry's. Our government will for example invest over 21 billion DTE extra in our educational system giving us the opportunity to build new schools, create higher wages for teachers and overall improve the quality of our education drastically. Then we will also invest 100 thousand DTE in the ministry of finance to make sure the administration of this reform can be managed properly. We will add 10 billion DTE to the budget of internal affairs to keep our country safe and invest in new equipment and training for our police force.

There are also some minor investments in the justice department and tourism department. But the most important investment for us in addition to the investment in education is the investment in the ministery of Health & Social Services. This investment of over 15 billion DTE will improve our healthcare significantly. It will make possible the creation of new hospitals but also the creation of more specialized departments that can help all kinds of patients. We will higher the grants given to those with low incomes and will higher the wages of our great doctors and nurses.

All these investments would still give us a great surplus which we will hold on to for at least this term to get the amount of cash on the same level as years before our massive deficit and to ensure we can pay off most of our debt to investors.
After this term we will do everything we can to get the budget at a stable level and invest even more into all ministry's to create a modern, efficient and well funded state.

Dušan Brož,
Minister of Finance

According to experts this reform would make it possible for Deltaria to invest even more in the future when the debt is paid off. This is "the start of the Deltarian giant awakening" according to experts. Many experts and governments have always warned for the possible awakening of the "Deltarian Giant" because of its massive economy and strong military.

The only thing that stood in the way of Deltarian prominence was infighting, poor economic management and countless civil wars. With the civil unrest apparently out of the picture and these first economic and military reforms it seems like the Deltarian Giant will start to awake from its sleep

Says economic analyst Albert Polák in a interview with The Deltarian.

We will keep a close eye on these developments.

Deltarian Grand Council and President Issue Joint Statement on Economic Development

With the budget reforms passed, there is a clear agenda in the nation to expand the economy and ultimately pay off the debt. While Deltaria has remained relatively prosperous relatively unfazed by the rather short civil war, it has suffered from crippling debt problems mainly caused by overspending on the military. Deltaria's economy still retains its low taxes and quite lax regulation and is opening its doors asking for investment to get the countries economy going again. The first objective of this expansion plan will likely be to pay off the debts acquired from years of deficit spending on the military. It is a clear attempt from the Deltarian Government to begin anew after the many issues in the rulership of Czar Nikolai I. An Anti Corruption Investigation into some of these Czarist Era practises is ongoing and those indicted will be put on trial before the Grand Council.

The Grand Council and the President of Deltaria declare their intent for the expansion of the economy and call for increased investment. It is time for the sleeping Giant to Awake! We shall rid Deltaria of the corrupt kleptocrats and ensure a new era of economic growth and stability.

Blue Thallerist Alliance Considering a move towards an ideological standing

With the future of the Grand Council agreed upon by the major parties, the Blue Thallerist Alliance is considering the dropping of its Thallerist Title and handing over all Thallerist duties to the Grand Council. It is rumoured that the party is planning to rename itself the Libertárska Nacionalistická Strana (Libertarian Nationalist Party). Should this go ahead, the paramilitary forces currently controlled by the party would be handed over to the state as part of the security forces for the Grand Council. It is speculated that members of the Grand Council no longer deem it appropriate to involve themselves in party politics. Chair of the MTA and former interim President Alikskandr Masur had the following to say

When this party was created, it was to place the Thallers into a ruling position to take care of our beloved country. Now that it is achieved and the opposition seems happy with the status quo, we see little purpose for a Thallerist Party but we would rather reform into the model of other parties. Many of our members are indeed not classical liberals or libertarian nationalists and align more with socialist policies. They should indeed be able to choose who they support without fear of being forced to vote for policies they disagree on for the sake of the Thaller family.

GOVERNMENT CONTINUES MODERNIZATION POLICY
The Deltarian government under leadership of Kamil Novak continues its policy of creating a semi-private economy

The Deltarian government seems to be running on steam. In a quick tempo the government is pushing reform after reform out the door.
After the largest government budget reform in decades passed the surplus was immediately in effect and the first debt to investors has been payed off in recent days.

After investing major funds in the Ministry of Education the effects were immediate. Teachers received a payraise and multiple local governments have requested funds for building new schools with some requests already being approved by the ministry. In addition to this schools are also getting a special fund for the creation of specialized departments within their schools for disabled children or children with mental problems. Teachers will also receive better training and schools will have a broader range of subjects to follow for the children.

The investment in the Health system has however caused some problems. The healthsystem is still entirely private and this has caused some problems in the distribution of the newly available funds. The private hospitals try to all aquire extra funds individually which has caused problems in the distribution. The hospitals also refuse to higher the wages of their doctors and nurses because this would "hurt" the competitiveness of the hospitals according to the hospital directors. The government is preparing legislation to change this however with the coalition leader SDLS writing a law that would create a public health care system alongside a private one.

The current situation in our healthcare system simply does not work. We want to improve the working conditions of our doctors and nurses and improve the quality of our healthcare while also making the availability of the system better by building new hospitals. But the current private healthcare system is standing on the way of all this. We will not propose the total nationalization of our healthcare system but we will, just like our economic policy, aim for a semi-private healthcare system with a public and a private system of hospitals. This way we can let the private sector keep their competitiveness while we can improve the public system with the newly invested funds.

Said Prime Minister Kamil Novák

The government has also proposed a new bill called "For Deltaria". This is yet another economic reform that will stabilize the economy further and modernize the system to go further in the direction of a "modern and well growing state". This reform is expected to pass with the full government voting in favour. With all these reforms Deltaria is well on its way to becoming one of the major economic powers not only in Majatra but also Terra. With the government also looking for better relations with the continent many nations are also becoming wary of the growing power and influence of Deltaria.

As always we will keep an eye on this event and others here on The Deltarian.

DELTARIA ORGANIZES SUMMIT
The Deltarian government as part of their objective to make Deltaria a prominent player in international politics has announced a summit to be held for all Terran nations

(OOC: To attend the summit follow the instructions in the topic channel of the summit: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=7851 )

With the Deltarian reintergration in the MA imminent the Deltarian government is already looking for ways to further majatran democracy and peace as well as international democracy and peace.

Deltarian Prime Minister Kamil Novak has announced a international summit to be held in the Deltarian capital of Čachtice. The subject of the summit: The creation of a global organization that would be named the "Terran Federative Union"

For to long the nations and continents of our world have created organizations of their own. Fighting eachother and competing for influence. Deltaria believes that these modern times call for a new era of peace and democracy. Therefor we hereby send an open invitation to all nations of Terra to attend this summit. The creation of a Federative Union of terran states that promotes democracy and peace in the entire world is something that should have been done far earlier in our history. The Era of war and oppression is over. Let us create a peacefull and free future for our children. This summit will be led by Deltaria and we will discuss the possible structure of the TFU and set its primary goals. We will also determine the authority over its member states during this summit among other important things. All terran nations attending this summit will be part of the new Era. A new future. We once again invite all terran nations to attend this summit which will be held within 1 year

Said Prime Minister Kamil Novak

While many applaud the Deltarian commitment to peace and democracy many also see this as a direct provocation towards the MA.

The MA is a vital organization for the stability of Majatra and we will continue to support it and actively participate in it. But the TFU will have a higher goal then just majatran stability and peace. It will focus on all of terra. On all people. And Deltaria will do everything it can to lead this new organization to succes

EARLY ELECTIONS
The government announced early elections following the disbanding of the OPS

The Prime Minister Kamil Novak announced early elections following the OPS disbanding. After the elections where held not much changed in Deltaria.
The ruling SDLS won 56 seats compared to 58 seats in the previous election which still makes them the largest party by 1 seat.

The new HDS has won 14 seats which makes them the 3rd largest party in the Hall.
The LNS won the presidency once more however. And many fear a stalemate because of SDLS statements of their willingness to form a coalition with the HDS.
The political landscape has because of this stayed largely the same. The SDLS is happy with the result however and says that "the people have trust in SDLS leadership and has hereby renewed it"

Image
Prime Minister Novak walking out of his PM chambers satisfied following the election result

The Grand Coalition has achieved a lot for this country and has brought us to the top tier of Majatra once more. However it was not an ideal coalition and we believe we could have achieved more in a coalition without the LNS.
We are thankfull for this previous term and everything we managed to do in it but believe that a coalition with the HDS could give us the freedom to bring Deltaria to the glory it deserves. We are going to request the president to propose a SDLS-HDS coalition within the next month.

Said current PM Kamil Novak.

Many wonder if the president will create a SDLS-HDS coalition or if he will set in motion a stalemate.

We will keep you up to date on The Deltarian
