This decision was immediately supported by the deltarian government which stated that "this decision by the jelbanian authorities show great courage and a dedication to their people and state"
The PDRJ will also redraw its constitution to allow a multi party parliament to be set up with the power to create and vote on laws. For now the judicial branch will remain in state hands but this is expected to change once elections have been held.
2 parties have already been registered for the elections, one is the presidents Social Revolutionary Union and the other is the Conservative Alliance.
The FDSR has also requested the government of the free republic and both Vanuku and Istalia to allow reunification of all of jelbania under the democratic rule of the PDRJ once elections have been held.
The PDRJ has proven that it has been able to set up strong state institutions and is the only government in jelbanian territory that has established something that starts to look like and actualy unitary government.
Deltaria is of the understanding that Jelbania should be united under the PDRJ government once elections have been held and encourage Vanuku, the Free Republic and Istalia to accept reunification under this democratic regime after the elections
The Deltarian ministry of defense has also stated that it will withdraw all deltarian troops from the PDRJ once the joint military exercises have been concluded. First reports of a few troop convoys leaving Jelbania have already been received.
It is unclear as of yet how Vanuku and Istalia will respond to what seems a newfound democratic regime in the PDRJ.
