After 2 years of intense construction on two shipyards in Deltaria the DOF with the help of VALCRY has launched construction on both the second Nemec carrier of the fleet as well as 2 Kirov class battlecruisers. This officially launches Phase One of the massive expansion plan for the navy. It is expected that the Kirov class battlecruisers will complete within 4 years while the Nemec carrier will take around 6 years before entering sea trials.
The MoD has stated that it will look into possibilities to launch Phase two of the plan "whenever possible" and will likely do so if the possibility arises. When asked about the costs of Phase One the MoD stated that "the costs associated with the first phase of the program are expected to be between 18 to 20 billion DTE if no delays occur or any other problems are encountered along the way".
The Kirov class battlecruisers are the largest ships in any navy besides aircraft carriers. Deltaria, if succesfully constructing the battlecruisers, will be the only nation besides Trigunia to operate such large ships outside of traditionally large aircraft carriers. The navy thinks these two ships will be "of utmost importance in any future conflict" and will be "a great asset to the deltarian naval forces"

The first prototype of the MiG-36 has already been produced while the first prototype of the SU-01 is entering its final production fase. The MiG-36 after several testflights proved to be a real improvement on the MiG-35 and was both more maneuverable and faster with the new VALCRY engine in it. Stronger weaponry on the jet and the introduction of advanced software systems on board also increased the capabilities of the new multirole fighter. While the new capabilities of the fighterjet are impressive the MoD found some flaws that need to be adressed before mass production of the jet can start. The MiG-36 will work in cohesion with the advanced R-37 multirole stealthfighter jets of the airforce which are excellent in long range and air to ground encounters but have severe disadvantages in close range dogfights with other jets, something the MiG-36 will solve according to the ministry since the MiG-36 is "excellent in close range dogfights and will compliment and work with the R-37 on several fronts to ensure deltaria maintains a strong, flexible and modern airforce."
The SU-01 CAS jet prototype is expected to enter test flights in the coming months.
