Government of Deltaria statment on drafting of Treaty on establishment of Majatran Security and Diplomacy Council.

The Government of Deltaria is proud to introduce the Treaty on the establishment of the Majatran Security and Diplomacy Council. This Council will composed of nations from the continent of Majatra, and its mission is to strengthen security and promote prosperity for all Majatrans. The Articles within the treaty outline various duties for member nations, such as sharing intelligence on threats to other nations in the Council, as well as requiring Council conferences to take place every 10 years. We look forward to increased stability and growth throughout Majatra through this important international agreement.

New major Deltarian infrastructure project announced

Progress of Deltarian Export Infrastructure Project

The government of Deltaria has made impressive progress in its 3-year project to expand the nation’s trade infrastructure. The project was initiated with the goal of better utilizing the country's recently discovered nearly infinite iron deposits, allowing it to more efficiently export this valuable resource and further increase their wealth.

Cachtice: Newly elected President Mojmír Jaroš has announced "a new democratic era" for Deltaria as he was elected in a landslide, despite heavy gerrymandering by the incumbent regime. For decades Deltaria had been under the rule of communists, for a long time absolute rule under a variety of communist parties. The once so powerfull nation was reduced to nothing more then a footnote, as industry dissapated and influence wained. Around 10 years ago some minor democratic reforms were introduced, but the influence of communists remained at large. Now, despite this unleveled playing field, the new Liberals and Independents, backed by media oligarch Václav Kozár, has won the recent elections within the Central Committee with a descisive tone, managing to aquire nearly 56% of seats and unseating the longstanding ruling class. Furthermore Jaroš was elected President, giving him the position to push forward radical reform. He and his party, after the win, immediately stated that "our nation is on the path to modernity once more, a path of democratic transition. My government will introduce sweeping constitutional reform to reintroduce local autonomy and rebrand our institutions. The era of decline is over."

The Liberals have already proposed sweeping reforms that would transform the country into a democratic federation once more, reintroducing special rights for the Doron Akigan and Dissuwan minorities and strengthening autonomy for other groups in the country. Democratic institutions would also see a overhaul, being strengthened and setting the course for radical change after decades of stagnation. The Liberals need the support of the DDS for the proposal to pass, with many Liberal politicians working behind the scenes to convince the DDS of the importance of these reforms.
