Cachtice: Deltaria is almosy synonyms with industry and hard industrial output. This is a image it has embraced and even stimulated in recent history. But that image might be changing, without the interference of the Deltarian government. In the Deltarian city of Hradnice the software industry of the Federation was born and from here its also seeing a rapid expansion. The city was, during the planned economic era of the FDSR, seeing a rapid decline with software businesses shutting down and its tech park closing. But when economic policies were relaxed and a partial market economy restored the city began to blossom. The tech park was reopened by Tàmin Development Corp, one of Deltaria's largest private construction companies. New software bussinesses began to settle in Hradnice its tech park, most notably companies like ListenIn which are serving a worldwide audience have increased their presence in Hradnice. This is in large part thanks to a hands off approach by the Federal and Republican governments, which have left most development of the city and its tech park to private corporations and the local municipal council. It has allowed Hradnice to be the first to establish a high speed optical-fiber connection in the entire city, allowing the bussinesses in the tech park to enjoy high connections and also prompting several other companies to launch database centers surrounding the city.

The new opportunities for software companies has resulted in a innovative leap. From the music streaming platform ListenIn to the gaming company Echo games and newly established companies like Dràdnice Software which is developing its own Operating System, all these companies have now settled in different parts of Deltaria and concentrated themselves in Hradnice, with some if not all of them serving a global audience. While the Deltarian government is still focussed on facilitating the industrial sector and keeping its name high up the list the software sector in Deltaria is single handidaly changing its own image, future and opportunities. Experts project that Deltaria's software industry may account for more then 5% of the Deltarian GDP within the next 20 years, meaning billions in revenue for the industry. This rise within the sector is also seeing other sectors gain confidence, withh a now organic transition to a more diversified economy for Deltaria. While the federation is likely to remain the industrial powerhouse first and foremost, its innovating private sector is showing that industry is not the only thing that the FDSR has going for it. Names to look out for in the future will this be Dràdnice Software, Valmor Security Systems and Hradnice Tech Corporation, all new software based companies that are starting to make a name for themselves in this newfound industry. A industry with much potential and projected growth in the long term.

Cachtice: As one of the first projects of the Future Combat Initiative launched by the Military Command Staff rumours have started to circulate about the possible development of a new, and the first, UCAV drone for the Deltarian Airforce. A picture of the reported new drone was leaked on the web and appears to show a large drone being towed on a runway, resembling stealth bombers from Northern nations like Hutori. The picture caused much speculation within the defense community, as it would be the first Deltarian program to develop a drone in decades and the first time drones would enter service ever. The Ministry of Defense nor the Deltarian Airforce would confirm nor deny the leaked pictures being part of a new development program, prompting experts to believe it indeed is one of Deltaria's new projects based around the Future Combat Initiative. A drone would grant the armed forces a unmanned vehicle capable of reconaissance, limited strike capabilities and more without the need to risk human life's. It could also possibly be intergrated in automated systems based around the upcoming sattelite network that the Deltarian Armed Forces wants to establish. It is likely just one of many steps by the Armed Forces to take a step into the future and could primarily be used by special forces during high risk missions where jets could possibly not be scrambled on time.

Not a single detail on the project has been announced and the Ministry of Defense and other defense officials have stayed silent on the matter. Digging into the records of SATURN aerospace it seems that the company has received at least some undisclosed payments from the Ministry of Defense, insinuating that SATURN might be the company developing this new UCAV for the airforce. Details on a possible reveal or the finalization of the secretive project are also unknown.

Cachtice: On the tenth anniversary of the ascendance of General-Secretary Volf to the Premiership Cachtice appears to be everything but a place of festivities. Instead of the large columns of dancers that was prepared for the occasion large columns of military vehicles drove through the capital. Communication lines were cut and strategic positions within the city occupied by armoured vehicles and soldiers without insignia. It was a sight no one really expected, besides maybe the military itself. It appears that in recent months a bitter power struggle has taken place behind the scenes. The increased power of the Communist Party and General-Secretary Volf in particular made the security services and military feel uneasy. The military would have prefered the federation to be preserved, as a balance of power between the regions and federal government would be best to not only keep the peace, but prevent the federal government from consolidating political power. This "rule" put in place by the military was harshly violated by Volf, who consolidated most political power within the communist party and started to directly threaten the precarious political balance in Deltaria. Volf seemed to forget that the current regime was in fact created by the military, a military that has shown not to shy away from intervening in Deltarian politics when it wants to.

Despite this consolidation of power Volf continued to be tolerated, largely due to her talent to keep the country together and allow the military to grow. But then everything changed when Volf implemented the "Military Loyalty Decree", forcing the military to swear loyalty to the Communist Party instead of the Federation. This angered the military command, feeling as if their power was now really waning. All that is happening now seems to be an act of desperation by the military, a act that some security services werent even informed on. Thousands of soldiers, hundreds of armoured vehicles and more have descended upon the capital which now seems to be in a total lockdown. It is awfully quiet from government circles, likely caused by the fact that at the moment of the lockdown the Council of Ministers and central committee were gathered in the city and are thus inside. The SUVO and Federal Police have also stayed quiet, not responding to any requests from state media or independent journalists from international stations. If we would have to go off Deltarian history these actions strongly suggest a military coup, similar to the coup that brought the communists in power some 100 years ago. The situation surrounding General-Secretary Volf also remains unclear. Around the capital a few hundred citizens have gathered to watch events unfold. The military has issued a stay at home order, stating they will use martial law powers of arrest with anyone violating the order. We will keep an eye on the situation.

Cachtice: The until now unclear situation in Deltaria is starting to slowly being revealed. After a month of uncertainty and the appearance that the government was still functioning it has today been revealed by a leak from the SUVO that General-Secretary Volf has been assasinated, likely the work by Deltarian security agencies. Furthermore the entirety of the government, including senior communist party officials and the entire central committee, have been arrested and relieved from their duty. Martial law has now officially been declared and the highest commander within the Armed Forces, Dimitri Krazek, has adressed the nation on national television, declaring an end to the FDSR and the establishment of a military junta, which has for now called the nation the "State of Deltaria". This thus seems like yet another coup, something that Deltaria is all to familiar with. But while in the past the Deltarian population stayed silent, hoping a return of stability, they have now taken to the streets in pure rage and anger, demanding an end to military meddling in national politics. It is a rare display of dissatisfaction and pure anger, one that has reportedly gathered over 200.000 people in cities accross the nation. Stores have been plundered and the central square in Cachtice has turned into a battlezone. The military, now seemingly in control, has ordered units to contain the protests, with some reporting live fire from the military coloms that have been tasked with protecting strategic sites accross the country.

This public display of anger was clearly not anticipated by the military, which is seemingly struggling to keep order. The main spark is likely the killing of Volf, who has reportedly been shot by a army sniper during the raid on the government quarter, mistaking her for a armed guard that was protecting her. Its a display of a lack of preparation and the act of desperation in which the military, and seemingly primarily the army, has acted after the consolidation of power by Volf. While their initial coup has succeeded, they are slowly losing grip over the country and are now desperate to find a solution. Despite the chaos the SUVO, now under the directive of general Krazek, has launched raids aided by the military which have seen over 70% of Communist Party offices plundered and closed, millions of documents confiscated and thousands of party members arrested. While the SUVO was initially not in favour of the coup, it supported it after the death of Volf became known, prefering military rule over lawlessness. Now all security services in Deltaria are working with the military in trying to establish order. Some local agencies like the Doron Akigan Police and Ushalande Police have sided with the protestors, making a already difficult situation even more pressing. The Junta is now trying to both contain this apparent uprising while at the same time taking down the large apparatus of the Communist Party. Some may wonder if Deltaria is slipping into anarchy, with geopolitical rivals surely eyeing on Deltaria during this moment of weakness.

Cachtice: Deltaria is in its darkest chapter in a century as the situation turns from yet another coup to seemingly total anarchy within the new State of Deltaria. Months of civil unrest were the result of the military coup and the Junta that is now "in control." Because no one really seems to be in real control. Yesterday one of the deadliest days of civil disobedience was recorded, with over 400 dead and thousands wounded as the military opened fire with live ammunition and protestors use increased violence in the form of molotov cocktails and "beat squads" against police and military units. A Defense Ministry annex was totally levelled by a raging fire in the capital of Cachtice, seeing hundreds of vital documents burned and 4 employees dying. Military and security services have been firing with live ammunition in an attempt to scare off protestors but this has only angered them more, with the AFF using the opportunity to mingle in the crowds and attack security forces with their own weapons.

The situation has turned into a intricate web that could easily explode. The military initially planned on keeping the Junta in power for the foreseeable future but that seems like a non-solution, as around 1 million Deltarians are now gathering throughout the country to protest the Junta daily. Thousands have been injured, arrested or killed and Deltaria is suffering as a whole. The entire situation has also seen its effect on the economy, with the stock market reporting a loss of 500 points in the last week and sectors suffering due to vandalizing and closures forced upon them by the persisting protest movement.

But in the fog of war a old power has once again risen. Seeing the slip into anarchy the former Conservative Democratic Union party has reformed itself, doing so after several regional parties banded together following the dissolution of the Communist Party. They are now led by Artur Řehá, a 45 year old former journalist that went into exile after he got into trouble for criticizing the communist regime. He has now returned to Deltaria as leader of the reformed KDU, despite political parties now being banned by the Junta. Despite the dangers however Řehá has now approached the Junta with a offer to negotiate. Seeing the situation escalate he has reportedly send a letter to General Krazek offering to negotiate an end to the Junta in which, "all sides end up with a satisfactory result." The junta has not yet responded to his proposal but seems to have little choice. Their initial plan of maintaining the Junta is out of the window and without a clear solution quickly Deltaria itself might see a slip into anarchy or worse, civil war.

Cachtice: The Military Junta under the leadership of General Krazek has demanded the extradition of former members of the Communist Party from Cobura. The demand has come after Cobura its call to Deltarian communists that they would be welcome to reside there, angering the current ruling Junta. General Krazek has stated publicly that, "If Cobura decides to keep defending the communist traitors then the Deltarian military is forced to take action." It is unclear if the general can make good on that threat, as Deltaria is currently embroiled in the heaviest protests and acts of civil obedience in its recent history. There is a concern for the naval and airbase in Cobura to be targetted by the Coburan regime, something that Krazek states would be seen as a "Act of war" by his Junta.

Besides the harsh demands and words to Cobura the Junta also talked about Jakania's attempts at keeping the peace, saying that "Deltaria respects the requests from our neighbour and is doing whatever it can to stop the communist rebellion from keeping a ruthless communist dictatorship in power. We thank Jakania for supporting peace and stability in the region and look forward to future cooperation on defense and economic matters."

Cachtice: Crisis seems to have been averted. Under the pressure of continued civil unrest and outbreaks of violence the Deltarian Junta, led by General Krazek, has today signed the Cachtice Accords, negotiated over the course of several months. The KDU, though until now a illegal organization according to the Junta, decided to make a gesture to the regime as the situation on the ground escalated. At first the regime decided not to respond but after hundreds of deaths and extreme violence with the potential of civil war it caved, starting negotiations with the KDU which promised to represent the Deltarian people. The resulting negotiations lasted months and have now resulted in the Cachtice Accords, a large document with hover 1000 pages that outlines the future of Deltaria militarily, politically and diplomatically and also includes a attached new constitution that both sides have agreed upon.

The full details, as released, are as followed. The Deltarian military, the Junta, which represents all branches of the military and the security agencies, has agreed on not interfering with national politics on the condition that the military and its interests are regarded as top priority by the government. They may also intervene if the civilian government violated the constitution without changing it first. The military will also have to stay informed, while the new HoG will be the official civilian leader of the armed forces a special "Military Advisory Council" will be established that will be kept informed by the government on geopolitical situations and can make its own assesments/recommendations. Furthermore the armed forces will be allowed semi-independent control, with them handling most matters defense related themselves with the exception that they are ultimately answerable to the HoG. In exchange for all these assurances the military will hand over all civilian control to a new civilian government. This new government will take over all civilian control and can once again determine policy and rule in the name of Deltaria.

The new constitution gives us a insight in the form of the new government. The monarchy will see its return, as the nation shall become the Grand Empire of Deltaria once more. It is a choice that was heavily debated, with the KDU in the end pledging for a constitutional monarchy, seeing it as the greatest guarentee of stability and a way to protect the state from radical, often communist threats. As monarch Valéria I of the House of Georgijević-Tesař will be invited to ascend the Deltarian throne. While Valéria is not the first in line for the throne, she is seen as a moderate within the rather authoritarian landscape of Deltarian royalty, in favour of democratic rights and the protection of minorities, making her the "perfect candidate" to assume the throne. Under the new constitution there will be a bicameral parliament, collectively known as the Imperial Diet, but consisting of the Imperial Council as lower house and the Imperial Senate as the Upper House. The lower house will be elected through a first past the post system, with 520 districts accross the country to compete in in free and open elections. All districts will use the same system in which a candidate must win 50% of the vote, if not in a first round then in subsequent rounds. Every candidate that receives 20% or more of the vote in the first round gets to the second rounds and so forth until a candidate has been elected. For the upper house a more stable system has been chosen, with 100 representatives being directly appointed by the monarch. This was a demand from the military, which saw it as a neccesity to counter possible "anti constitutional" forces from gaining to much power. The monarch is however expected to meet with all party leaders to determine a fair makeup of the upper house. The lower chamber is elected every 4 years while the upper chamber is appointed every 6 years. The regions in the country will get less control then during the Federation era, but will still gain some rights. Under the new Devolved Unitary government the regions of Ushalande, Darali and Alazinder will become provinces, being allowed to have their own budgets, maintain regional infrastructure and grant building rights to developers as well as some other minor rights but ultimately being answerable to the national government. In Doron Akigo and Dissuwa there will be "Autonomous Regions" officially called States. These states will have their own parliament, their own executive and can govern themselves on most domestic issues. They will be mostly self governing, with the exception on foreign and defense policy and currency. They will also still be bound to the national constitution and may not have their own.

The Head of Government is elected through a majority vote in the Imperial Council, the Imperial Senate is not needed for confirmation, and serves as the official leader of the country. He or she may then propose a cabinet subject to the approval of both chambers. The new constitution also guarentees freedom of press, religion, assembly and speech, bringing back many rights that have for decades been taken away from the Deltarian population. The Cachtice Accords were signed by both the Junta and KDU, officially ratifying the agreement and constitution. Empress Valéria is expected to ascend the throne officially next week in a grand ceremony. The KDU has already registered itself and is expected to win the first election in a landslide with no real contendors to compete against it. This is a new chapter for Deltaria, a chapter in which many wonder how it will proceed.

Following the ratification thousands celebrated on the streets, protests have dissapated and riots stopped. According to the National Security Councillor's office security forces are regaining control over the situation and it is likely to return to normal in the coming days. Military forces have started to being replaced by the now renamed Imperial Police, which is returning to normal policing methods.
