PRIME to develop and supply new tracked heavy cargo trucks
After partially winning a contract for the construction of transport vehicles the deltarian company PRIME will develop a new heavy cargo truck for the deltarian armed forces

After 2 years of bidding, counter bidding and negotiations PRIME Limited, subsidiary of PRIME International, finally partially won a contract for the construction of cargo vehicles for the deltarian military. During the 2 years of bidding and negotiating PRIME Limited had already prepared several designs to present to the military delegation. One of the designs caught the eyes of the delegation for its apparent strength and potential. The Vita ATV, a heavy cargo transporter, is a tracked truck able to transport a large amount of supplies and heavy material over difficult terrain like snow, dessert terrain and rocky terrain. The Vita would provide the deltarian ground forces with a vehicle capable of supplying the army in the roughest situations.

PRIME accepted the delegations request to produce the Vita design ATV. A initial order of 100 Vita ATV's was placed by the military with one already being supplied earlier this week due to PRIME already having a prototype that represented the final product. With this deal PRIME will officially enter the market of military vehicle construction and will create its first tracked vehicle, both for the first time since the foundation of the company around 97 years ago. PRIME also stated that it is preparing large festivities and discounts 3 years from now in celebrations of their 100 year anniversary and at the same time celebrating their worldwide succes, with the company being one of the most profitable in Terra and one of the most succesfull in Deltarian history, with no sign of stopping.

FKA releases final draft for manned spacecraft
With the last space mission failing for Deltaria the FKA agency has released the final draft of the new spacecraft developed together with VALCRY

It has been some years since the failed manned orbital mission of the FKA. After reorganizations and heavy collaboration with VALCRY the agency has finally developed a new design for a manned spacecraft capable of reaching the moon.
The new craft will have enough space to house 4 astronauts and has enough thrust to reach the moon within 3 days. It also houses several reserve spots where extra food and water is stored in case of emergency and has another reserve engine that has enough power to slowly put the craft back in earths orbit if needed. The FKA is also reportedly creating a nuclear variant, using nuclear energy to power the craft making it capable of flying extremely long distances but this plan is still not officially in development according to the agency.

VALCRY also struck a deal with the FKA to deliver the engines needed for the craft and the agency also asked the DOF to help in construction of the craft itself. Construction is now underway and is expected to take between 3 to 5 years depending on the supply of heat ressistant materials.
Training of proper astronauts will also take another 2 years but will be done during construction, the FKA announced that 2 of the 3 astronauts on board of the former spacecraft for the orbital mission will join the crew of 2 new astronauts in manning the new craft which will be named the DECO-1A

Ministry of Defense unveils new standard assault rifle
As expected the ministry of defense today in a demonstration of the weapon unveiled a new assault rifle to be used by the infantry of the people's army

2 years back the ministry of defense promised the ground force to invest more in new equipment and better training instead of solemnly focussing on the navy. Now it seems like the ministry is making good on its promise, with new self propelled howitzers planned, new tracked cargo trucks being constructed and more advanced equipment in general being developed the army is looking at a bright future. As anticipated for some time the new standard assault rifle for the infantry was revealed today. During several demonstrations and a detailed animation on the inner workings of the rifle it became clear that the new DK-15 assault rifle would be the new standard weapon the army had been waiting for. Taking inspiration from rifles from accross Terra namely Trigunia, Dorvik and Kazulia the DK-15 is relatively small for its classification as a assault rifle. But with modern iron sights a 7.62x39mm cartridge, many attachment possibilities and a standard foregrip the DK-15 is a clear upgrade from the current standard rifle in the military.

The DK-15 was the first weapon officially designed and developed by the state owned Deltárských Obranná Federace (DOF) since all the other military hardware and naval ships constructed by the company where designed by others. The DOF will also manufacture the new rifles exclusively in its own factories and will for now not open the rifle up to the global market. According the ministry of defense it will take some time to equip the 800.000 strong deltarian army with the new standard rifle and therefor the ministry has allowed for a 10 to 15 year transitional period in which all soldiers will be gradually equipped with the new assault rifle.

More infantry equipment is also underway and a new military academy in the deltarian capital is likely to be constructed to improve the capabilities of the officer corps of Deltaria.

Dissatisfaction in the republics, Presidents position uncertain
Following remarks about limiting the power of the constituent republics and several interventions in regional authority already longtime president Igor Hošek could lose his position

Earlier this week in a press conference on the progress of the economy president Igor Hošek mentioned further centralization of the state and a possible decrease in the autonomy of the republics. This was a drastic change in policy, considering that deltaria has finally remained united under the federative autonomous system. But the moment the press conference ended the president, realizing his potentially dangerous mistake, ordered all footage of the media to be erased. While most outlets did one did not and released footage of the conference.

Immediately after hearing the news the Socialist Republic of Doron Akigo and its government denounced the president for his "dangerous" ideas and created a formal request for him to explain himself. Just hours after Doron Akigo's request the Socialist Republic of Alazinder and Socialist Republic of Dissuwa signed the request as well forcing the president to explain himself to the Republican Council.
During the meeting between the president and the constituent republics the situation did not improve, during the meeting the president once again slipped, telling the representatives that his intention was to "strengthen the federation" by "ensuring that the republics are safe under central administration". His intention was to ensure the republics that the central government was only there to protect them, but the representatives took it entirely different. In a near unanimous vote 4 of the 5 republics demanded the resignation of the president with only Darali voting against.

With this immense opposition to the longtime president the central committee now has the final say over the future of the presidency. With 4 of the 5 republics demanding his resignation experts believe the central committee has no choice then to sack the president. More news on this soon.

President Hošek removed from power, Foreign Minister Radoslav Fišer appointed as President
The central committee has removed Igor Hošek from the position of President, appointing longtime Foreign Minister Radoslav Fišer as President of the FDSR

Faced with mounting pressure of 4 of the 5 republics the central committee made its decision today regarding calls for the removal of Igor Hošek as president. For over 13 years he had been president of the Federation of Socialist Republics, but today his rule ended. The central committee unanimously voted for the removal of Hošek from power, replacing him with long time Foreign Minister Radoslav Fišer. Fišer has been Foreign Minister for 13 years as well, often standing side by side with President Hošek on important decisions and being experienced with negotiating harsh terms, Fišer is also seen as one of the more hardline members of the party and a firm believer in the federal system.

After his removal from the presidency Hošek was escorted outside of the presidential palace and given the option to peacefully resign from any party functions and retreat himself to his rural mansion in Dissuwa, which he did.
This first transition of power for the strongest office in the country has seemingly happened without any bloodshed and is a significant event for the FDSR as its influence increases with the day. A new foreign minister is yet to be determined and will likely be appointed by Fišer himself

Deltaria launches military exercises in Dundorf
After the opening ceremony of the first overseas Deltarian military base in Dundorf both armies launches large scale military exercises

It was a day to be celebrated by both Dundorf and Deltaria. With the opening of the first Deltarian overseas base in Dundorf the beginning of fruitfull relations within the CARSS organization were marked. After the opening of the base 5.000 Deltarian soldiers and an equall number of Dundorfian soldiers launched several large scale training operations in several parts of Dundorf. From mountain training to large scale plain field assaults and even a logistical river crossings the exercises encompassed the most vital parts of ground combat. But new R-37 deltarian jets also covered the skies providing close air support for the troops below.

Deltarian advisors and army inspectors were also present during the exercises to examine the capabilities of Dundorf's military. They were suprised at the relative good training of the soldiers but were less enthusiastic about their equipment. At some point soldiers of Dundorf's armed forces even ran out of ammunition for their old AK-47 rifles, their body armour was also several generations old and their vehicles were so outdated that spare parts were nowhere to be seen. After the exercises the inspectors therefor advised Dundorf's government to invest heavily in new military equipment and a sufficient ammunition stockpile to ensure that its relatively well trained soldiers have the equipment they need to conduct operations.

Deltaria also started its economic aid program to be given to dundorf through the CARSS organization, the first 10 billion DTE is reportedly already being transfered to Dundorf with the recommendation from Deltaria to use this first delivery of economic aid to update the military arsenal. With both countries coming closer together and Deltaria constructing its first overseas military base it is clear that CARSS will become a organization to reckon with.

Frigate and Destroyer construction completed, start on third carrier and submarines
As the frigates and destroyers recently constructed enter sea trials the navy launches construction of their third carrier and the planned submarines

The 6 Frigates and 4 Destroyers that were planned for yet another naval expansion have launched their sea trials. The navy now has over 9 highly modern frigates as well as 4 extra destroyers in their ranks. But the biggest project of the recent naval expansion will be the construction of the third Deltarian aircraft carrier and 4 attack submarines. This project will take around 4 years to complete as the DOF now has sufficient experience in shipbuilding to accelerate the process. The deltarian navy is already among one of the strongest in Terra and with the addition of yet another carrier and modern submarines it may become the second navy in the world, just behind Kazulia.

Ground force construction is also progressing relatively fast with the planned self propelled howitzers already entering service and the PRIME made heavy cargo trucks slowly entering service as well. With the CARSS organization growing and socialism spreading Deltaria is sure to take center stage in Terra.

Deltarian troops finish Operation Citizen Shield, scale back to small scale operations
With the main combat operations of Citizen Shield complete and the largest pockets of resistance cleared the deltarian army in the southern protectorate is now scaling back to small scale operations
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The massive operation called operation "citizen shield" has concluded in a relative victory for deltarian forces. With only around 42 deltarian soldiers killed and 110 wounded against over a thousand Jelbanian loyalist deaths the Deltarian army can look back at a succesfull operation that saw most strongholds of the loyalists destroyed. But the task in the south is far from over, as deltarian troops stop major combat operations they retreat back to their bases in the south. As control of the protectorate government strengthens on the south the deltarian government is now actively assisting the southern government in setting up formal structures of a civilian government. With a "Grand Council" already setup earlier this year and the first true elections in the south electing a conservative jelbanian as president the south is increasingly looking at a stable future under deltarian guidance.

The military is currently deliberating on further action against guerrilla fighters with some suggesting a passive strategy, staying in deltarian bases and only responding on credible reports from the population to move out and attack positions. The airforce has also scaled back its available aircraft for operations in the south marking the official end of combat operations.
