Deltaria: As the security council and several other nations assemble their coalition to free Jakania and end the czarist regime in Deltaria the Imperial Armed Forces are preparing to the upcoming "climactic battle". Fortifications, bases, missiles sites, everything is being prepared for the upcoming "struggle of survival" as many officials call it. After striking the istalian navy in a devastating blow the deltarians already showed their prowess at sea and now their forces on land are preparing to fight the coalition for every inch of the new deltaria realm. The Grand Empire had already mobilized all its reservists (1 million in total) and now has around 1.7 million troops mobilized. Most of this massive army is however poorly equipped and trained with only around 500.000 of them properly trained and equipped with new weaponry and equipment. Most of this massive force is divided throughout the coastline of both Jakania and Deltaria as the Imperial Military Strategic Command had, immediately after the surrender of Jakania, ordered a massive program to be initiated fortifying the coastline of both Deltaria and Jakania.

Around half of the Jakanian coastline and most of the Deltaria coastline has now been fortified with anti tank emplacements filling many beaches, artillery positions created behind those fortified beaches and troops stationed along most of the two coastlines. Further inland the Imperial Army has also created defensive positions with mountain passes strategically defended by artillery and machine gun emplacements, forward operating bases constructed in and near cities and full military bases scattered across both Jakanian and Deltaria territory. The Imperial Airforce, although small and likely to be no match for coalition airpower, has already drawn up plans to focus their efforts on protecting only strategically important areas in the airspace with R-37 stealth fighters staying at a distance of the battlefield to target enemy units from afar and provide ground support with their missile guided weaponry while MiG fighter jets are stationed in several airbases across the two territories as well to hopefully create air superiority in important areas across the battlefield.

The Imperial Navy, which has already shown its strength in nearly wiping out the Istalian Navy, is maintaining a policy of "scattered supremacy" as most of its fleet is now roaming the open ocean, refueling in either Dankuk or Gaduridos when out of fuel. One Nemec Carrier strike group, two Yegorovich carrier strike groups and 3 attack fleets are now confirmed to be roaming the open ocean ready to strike at trade from any coalition participant. One Attack fleet and One Nemec carrier strike group still remain in port in Ushalande, likely being kept in reserve to protect the deltaria coast from invasion. One Yegorovich carrier strike group is still stationed in Dankuk and has not been active in recent months likely remaining their to protect Dankuk from any coalition actions.

As the coalition comes closer to a invasion it seems like Deltaria is preparing for a prolonged conflict, wanting to fight for every inch of it territory. With the istalian fleet mostly out of the picture and the coalition still assembling the IMSC is, reportedly, hopeful of a positive outcome to the war and the Czar also stated that he "will never give up out beloved Deltaria to foreign invaders.

Čachtice: The crisis has reached a new level of seriousness today as Protestors have seized the Assembly House in the capital and have
declared fresh elections and the drafting of a new Constitution. The protestors, calling themselves Nová Demokracie broke through the
barriers outside the Assembly House in the early hours of this morning. Reports indicate that the police guarding the premises have sided
with the protestors.

This development comes following almost a decade of chaos throughout Deltaria following the collapse of the Czarist Regime and the
failure of the Federal Government to maintain its credibility. Hundreds of thousands have fled the country due to economic and social
disruption, and capital flight has led to record levels of unemployment throughout the nation. The short lived Federal Government,
established following the fall of the empire, only appeared to maintain control of the Capital area and for all intents and purposes has
ceased to be operational as the legitimate Deltarian Government.

Many citizens questioned by Posel about the current turbulence in the Capital appear to be in support of the New Democracy movement,
with over 90% stating that the Federal Government is illegitimate. When asked about his position on the Federal Government, Albert
Ježek, a business owner from Čachtice told the Posel,
Ježek:"What Federal Government? We have no Government. The truth is that Deltaria has been in a state of Anarchy for over a decade.
My business is in tatters and crime is rampant."

Posel:"What do you suggest is necessary for a return to normality. Do you support the New Democracy movement?"
Ježek: "A revolution, a coup. Anything to end this chaos!"

This sentiment appears to be widespread both in the capital and throughout the rest of the country. New Democracy released a video
declaring themselves the voice of the Deltarian Nation. As long as this chaos remains, their claims appear to have some validity. Whether
the support will stand the test of time, only the coming weeks will tell.

Čachtice: The Provisional Government of Deltaria has announced that the Drafted Constitution is receiving a final pass before
implementation prior to the run up for the September 4650 elections. The Provisional Council is currently in the process of voting on what
appears to be a Republican and Presidential Constitution with a strong executive and a unitary organisation. Government officials call the
constitution a swift break from both the Grand Empire and Deltarian Federation in terms of organisation, focused solely around a division
of Executive and Legislative power which ensures the stability of the government and the implementation of popular will within a thriving
democracy.

Provisional President Sebastian Adamec has for a long time argued for the necessity of a strong presidency to secure democracy in the
wake of the growth in ultranationalist sentiment within the fledgling republic. This Constitutional Draft appears to be influenced by these
new beliefs. Concerns over the threat of extremist movements have been a significant aspect in the discussions which have led to the
new political situation, with monarchist and federalist rebels a real possibility in the turbulent times we currently live under. Several
Government official have received death threats from ultranationalist groups such as Nový úsvit, with one member of the
Provisional Council this week discovering a bomb placed under his car a short walk from the new Council Building. These threats pose
the first of many problems soon to face the incoming administration after September 4650.

Although the creation of a new political system has been met with a mix of interest and scepticism from the international community,
the drafting of a new constitution has finally begun to improve economic activity within Deltaria as investors interested in the new
developments risk investments of Capital to gain a foothold in a hopefully soon to flourish market. Posel will remain vigilant to
any Economic developments over the coming months.

Cahtice: The Federal Social Democrats have reemerged on the political stage of Deltaria following decades of government corruption and the heavy punishments put on Deltaria through the treaty that ended the Grand Empire. The FSD, which was the first democratic party to emerge following the fall of the former Empire, has now once again emerged as the dominant political force within the new federation. The party, with its message of fixing the problems of the federation and ending corruption, has won all seats in the Federal Assembly and has already proposed a new constitution which would grand the president the power to appoint a cabinet and make him both HOS and HOG (which is already the case). This new constitution also creates a bicameral system of parliament, adding a upper house with every Republic getting one vote in it to approve or reject legislation passed by the lower house.

The new constitution also increases the autonomy of individual regions within the Federation, granting them "Republic" status and allowing them to fully operate their own government, parliament and determine policy on a number of important laws including the death penalty. In addition the new Republic's will therefor also gain the ability to, with a majority of them voting against, reject federal laws. Some experts seem to suggest that this new system will give the individual Republic's to much power within the Federation. The FSD denies this however, stating that the new to be implemented constitution will give all people within the federation the freedom they deserve and will create stability in the long run.

While the new approach of the FSD could reward itself there are many within the republics themselves suprisingly vouching for a more central government, fearing renewed ethnic tension and competition between the republics. While the new system will likely provide the nation with the working democracy it always wanted after the fall of the empire the always looming threat of ethnic tension could resurface easier.

As the FSD is getting a new cabinet in power and passing new legislation the world is looking eagerly to see whether or not Deltaria will manage to get back up or remain down in the bottom charts.

Cahtice: Deltarian President Vaněk has filed a official request to the governments of Dorvik and Istalia asking them to revoke a part of the Treaty of Romula, which until now forbid the Deltarian government from signing trade deals without coalition approval. According to president Vaněk this provision within the treaty has "unncessarily hurt the Deltarian ability to stabilize its economy and has severely limited our ability to pay war reparations to the coalition as well"

The provision has been in place for almost 50 years and has caused many problems for the Deltarian economy. Market confidence in the Deltarian economy has stayed on a record low since the treaty came into effect and several trade deals which, according to the deltarian government, would have been lucrative were rejected by the coalition causing the deltarian economy to miss out on potentially billions in revenue.
President Vaněk argues that due to the loss of potential income Deltaria is less able to pay the war reparations it owes to the coalition nations. By allowing Deltaria to once again sign its own trade deals without coalition approval the federation would be "in a much better position to pay off its outstanding debt and develop its economy in a responsible and fair manner".

President Vaněk also appealled to the humanity of coalition members by stating in his request that "Deltaria has been paying off the debt its owed to the coalition to the best of its ability for the last 50 years. This has been a burden on the life's of ordinary Deltarian citizens. By allowing us to have autonomy over our own trade we can make sure the Deltarian people will also heal their old wounds and can live a proper life"

Experts are divided on whether or not the coalition will cave in to the request, citing obvious disdain from the Istalians towards the Deltarians, still harbouring angry feelings over the loss of a large portion of their fleet and thousands of dead during the war decades ago. While Dorvik might be more inclined to agree with the request, it remains unclear what the eventual combined response of the coalition will be.

The National Post, Národní Pošta in Daralian, is a centrist daily newspaper reporting mainly on general news, entertainment, and sports.
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
19th December 4688
New right-wing regionalist political party forms in Alazinder
Created by noted local politician Václav Čapek, the party fiercely defends regional nationalism and has already been outspoken on defending the autonomy of the five Deltarian republics.
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Speaking to a crowd of his constituents, the throng packed with friends he'd accumulated over the years and supporters, Václav Čapek announced the formation of the Radical Party of Deltaria in a lengthy speech outside of the Republic of Alazinder's parliament. An outspoken defender of the regionalist politics which had served the Federation excellently for decades, his time within local politics—Of which he's spent ample time within, serving within his Republic's parliament and becoming it's Speaker in 4675—Had shifted him further towards a more radical corner of such ideology. His long career within regional politics, having been involved since he was 35, Čapek formed an intricate web of friends, associates and contacts within political organizations sharing his cause, eventually coalescing into his actions today.

But, as many political analysts have pointed out, the company he has earned is not without controversy. Such comes in the form of his most trusted confidant, a man he met in his shared time within the ranks of the military, specifically as an officer. Such a man is none other than Mladen Tomić, an ethnic Tokundian. Noted for his even more radical and militant nationalist stance with regards to his colleague's policies, he has served as an excellent mouthpiece alongside the already boisterous words of Čapek himself.

With relative peace within the Federation having existed until this point under the FSD-led government, the formation of such a party has already drawn criticism from more unitary political groups, alongside speculation among political analysts, theorizing that such a party will bring a heavy burden to the Federal Social Democrats, whose platform has supported federal unity among the Republics for some time now. Regardless, upon the closing of Čapek's speech, the crowd showered the leader with applause as he turned to enter the Republic's parliament. Time will tell however if the Radical Party will propose national legislation, due to it's fiercely regionalist nature.

Čapek gives his party's formation speech before a podium outside of the Republic of Alazinder's parliament. Noted for his regionalist beliefs, political analysts are already indicating that such a fiercely populist party will surely be an ire to the ruling FSD government—If Čapek's party is to gain steam in the leader's native Republic, however.

Cahtice: The Federal government under the control of the FSD and president Vaněk has announced a massive economic plan named the GER (Grand Economic Revitalization). The new plan has as its goal to revitalize the stagnant deltarian economy after years of hardship and make it competitive once more. By encouraging private initiatives as well as investing into the economy directly the government hopes to once again achieve high numbers of growth and lower the now 15% unemployment rate.

The plan includes new policies on interest for loans which shall from now on be determined by the central bank, a loosening on monopoly laws, and a decrease in luxury taxes to encourage the commercial markets. By lowering several regulations and changing them in other areas the government hopes to create a nice balance between government regulation and private freedom. Allowing companies to run their company without to much regulations or taxes.

In addition to the change in laws the government also intends on investing over 20 billion DTE in vital infrastructure within the nation as hundreds of miles of federal roads are in bad condition, still affected by the war. The international airport in Cahtice will also be renovated and its runways expanded to accomodate for the expected growth in passengers and cargo flights. By investing into the infrastructural system and repairing damaged roads the government intends on fascilitating extended growth hopefully created by the reforms of the GER. In addition the FSD believes the telecommunications infrastructure of the country is also severely outdated and in order to make sure the Deltarian economy can be a modern one this had to be taken care of as well. Therefor the GER would allow the federal government to invest 10 billion DTE in upgrading, expanding and maintaining the telecommunication networks of the nation as well as invest it in creating a better 4G network mainly in the major and medium sized cities of Deltaria.

It is expected that both the Federal Assembly and Federal Council will vote in favour of the GER. Economists are positive of the new measures, expecting the Deltarian economy to grow again 1 year after its implementation which would be the first time in 20 years that the Deltarian economy would grow instead of shrink.

Cahtice: For the first time in 2 decades the Deltarian economy has reported growth instead of decline, says a report released by the Central Bank of Deltaria. The report shows that in the last quarter the deltarian economy grew with 1.9% compared to a negative rate of -0.8% the quarter before. The bank attributes the renewed growth of the economy to the many investments made by the federal government into digital and raw infrastructure as well as both regulating and deregulating policies enacted by the Vanek administration. Renewed confidence in the trade capabilities of Deltaria and a record number of people getting back to work (mostly as contractors in public works programs or other government programs) were also reasons for the renewed growth within the Deltarian economy. The report suggests that over the course of the next 2 years the growthrate will further rise to about 3.4% growth at its peak. Unemployment also dropped by 1 percent since last year to around 14% of the working population being unemployed now.

To further boost the economy president Vaněk announced that his government is looking to rekindle its relationship to the once dominating military industry of Deltaria. The military manufacturing industry within the nation was once the largest industry of the economy and the Deltarian military industry produced the most military goods of terra. After the Treaty of Romula was signed Deltaria was forced to dismantle most of its military industry and transform it into regular heavy industry. Vaněk however has stated on numerous occasions that the new industries replacing the old did not give Deltaria the income it expected nor did it anything to improve the working conditions of middle class factory workers.

Now, after 50 years of abiding by the Treaty of Romula, Vaněk his government now intends on reviving the military industry of the nation. The president has reportedly already met with the directors of several small military companies to see what the posibilities may be. The president has also met with the Minister of Finance and discussed the possibility of reserving some funds to invest into the state owned Darali Defense Systems, which once was the largest producer of ground force equipment on the globe. Currently the DDS, which is state owned, is a shell of its former self with only 2 operating factories mainly producing parts for broken equipment of the Deltarian military. The Ministry of Defense stated after the meeting between the president and Director of the DDS that they intend on investing into the state company and desire "at least" 10 extra factories being opened by the end of next year. These factories will replace existing heavy industry factories of other sectors and the weaponry that will be produced in the new factories will almost all be meant for the export market. The Ushalande Engineering Group, which is the state owned company responsible for naval production, is also being contacted and will also gain additional funds to operate.

President Vaněk did however state clearly that "Deltaria does under no circumstance intend to boost its own military capabilities and violate any military provisions of the Treaty of Romula. We do however believe that the military industry that Deltaria was once known for is vital to the continued development of our economy and we therefor have taken this step to revitalize this once strong Deltarian sector"

Cahtice: The FSD government which managed to stay in power despite a tough election season has, as their first act of their second term, reformed the banking system of Deltaria. A emphasize has been placed on the cooperation between the government operated Central Bank and the private banks of Deltaria. With several changes in the loan laws and loosening of financing restrictions the FSD government hopes to encourage investment of the private banking sector directly into the economy.

But there is not only hope for investment. The government has also instituted a requirement for banks to actively involve themselves within local communities. Small regional banks for example have to invest around 30% of their profit (if any is made) directly back into their communities thanks to a presidential directive president Vanek signed. Through several other directives large national banks are required to contribute to the development of different communities accross the country by also investing around 35% of their profit if any is made back into communities. One of such projects is the investment by the Darali Investment Bank, the largest private bank in Deltaria, into a local infrastructure project in Ushalande which was aimed at better connecting rural communities of the Republic with the urban ones. Another project was a combined project by several smaller community banks in Doron Akigo to renovate around 5.000 homes that were still destroyed as a result of the coalition war all those decades ago. Without the investment of these banks into projects like these those homes would likely never have been repaired and renovated.

The Central Bank will now also closely cooperate with the private banks of Deltaria, aiding in finding suitable projects to invest in and also flexibly adjusting interest rates when it is deemed in the best interest of economic development. The growthrate is also almost at its peak as economic analysts had already suggested. The current growthrate is at 2.9% while unemployment has dropped to 10%. A 4% decrease since the last time it was measured. This is mostly attributed to the renewed investment into the defense industry as thousands have found work within newly opened factories and technology jobs.
Economic forecasts are optimistic about the future of the Deltarian economy as it continues to grow and is projected to reach the pre coalition-war deltarian GDP by the end of 4694.
