Cahtice: The Deltarian space agency, known as the FKA, has, for the first time in over a decade, launched a spacecraft into orbit. The craft, a military sattelite named ORIN-1, was launched from the newly constructed launch site in Ushalande. It was also launched using a new rocket system developed by FKA over the years which allows the launch rocket to reach its destination around 20% faster then the previous rockets could. The launch went smoothly, especially when you consider the previous Deltarian space mission was a failure. The ORIN-1 was a combined project of the Ministry of War and the FKA agency. With the Ministry of War putting an order in with the space agency for 10 new military sattelites, meant to make the current military systems independent from sattelites of other countries. Allowing Deltaria to navigate, target and do much more with their own sattelites, allowing for more flexibility and safety. The FKA had, following the conclusion of their previous space mission, struck a deal with the government which forced them to not focus on expensive exploration missions but instead focus their efforts on more low maintenance and effort projects such as the construction and launch of military sattelites. Only then would the government allow future exploration missions to continue.

When the FKA embarked onto the sattelite program it hadnt even begun when the economic crisis hit, prompting the government to only do what had to be done and postponing any funding to the FKA for the next 5 years. When the 5 years ended and government funds slowly freed up the FKA restarted the program which has now allowed it to launch the first military sattelites of the 10 in total. This Sattelite, ORIN-1, will be hovering above Majatra with the other under construction sattelites likely being positioned in such a way that Deltaria has at least one, and possibly multiple, sattelites per continent, allowing it to continue its strategy of building up influence without threatening sovereign nations. According to FKA spokesman Amar Horti the remaining 9 sattelites are currently being constructed with them being launched one by one over the coming years. ORIN-1 has, after the succesfull launch, been activated immediately and is currently being calibrated according to defense sources, likely being fully operational within the month.

Cahtice: The Imperial Airforce today announced a new program to, "further strengthen, expand and prepare the airforce for its new roles". This program, named the Aerial Aquisition Program or AAP consists of several plans from procurement of existing aircraft to the development of new variants of older aircraft. The procurement part of the plan consists of a order for more then 300 new aircraft. Notable purchases include a additional 36 MiG-29 multirole fighters, 30 R-33M multirole/air superiority fighters which will be added to the order already underway, presumably 10 new R-37 stealth fighters and many more which will be shown at the end of this article. Besides the procurement of additional already existing aircraft the airforce is thus also looking for new aircraft that will fill roles previously left open. This desire for new aircraft has opened the opportunity for smaller defense contractors to try their luck and aquire contracts. Once such contractor named 'PANTHER' has succeeded in winning one of the contracts, with the contract awarded to them being that for a new strategic bomber for the airforce. While the specification says "new" the MoW has instructed PANTHER to use blueprints of previously used Trigunian bombers and adapt them to the modern age, practically making the new upcoming bomber a variant of older Trigunian bombers. Despite this the awarding of the contract to PANTHER is a significant achievement as until now SATURN was the main developer and producer of aerial equipment, adding a competitor for the giant that will surely create some interesting competitition on the aerospace market.

Besides the strategic bomber contract the new plan also included contracts for a new transport plane, a new command and control aircraft and the modernization of the R-25 blueprint, which would allow the DDS or SATURN to produce R-25 close-air support jets for the first time in decades. The Deltarian airforce didnt use the R-25 for over half a century but SATURN did produce the aircraft for Kalistan some years ago. Now, with a renewed focus on the Airforce and Navy after the economic crisis, the R-25 is likely to make a return in the Deltarian airforce. All these new contracts have been won by SATURN except those of the Strategic Bomber and the transport plane, which were won by PANTHER. This means that both PANTHER and SATURN are likely to work overtime in modernizing and adapting the designs of these aircraft to meet the requirements of the Imperial Airforce. The Airforce has already stated that all the new designs will be derived from older Trigunian designs and only adapted to fit modern standards. This major aquisition and development of aircraft is a first for the Deltarian Airforce, which had seen some development but not on this scale. The new R-33M multirole fighter has also proven to be a excellent fit, making up for the rather catastrophic MF-1. Its success is one of the reasons that a additional order for R-33M jets has now been placed.

The procurement and development of all these aircraft has been estimated to last over a decade, with all aircraft in the plan to enter service gradually and in batches as is protocol for the airforce. The immense cost of the program also play a role in the long duration. As the government has dictated the Imperial Airforce to spread the costs of development and procurement as good as possible to not exceed the annual budget by to big of an amount. The additional funding needed for the program will also affect the army, which has already reported that due to Navy and Airforce expansions its Project-214 will be its only development and procurement program for the foreseeable future besides the usual maintenance and upgrade programs.

TOTAL LIST OF NEWLY ORDERED (AND TO BE DEVELOPED) AIRCRAFT

Cahtice: Newly emerged Deltarian software company TETRA Software has revealed their first self developed OS system for personal computers. The new system, named "VDos", is the first OS system made by the company which has until now only focussed on the creation of small scale software. Their earlier works included things like software programs for schools and a software program for the Ministry of Tourism. The creation of this new OS System is supposed to "break out" the company from its rather low key profile now and make it into a strong and growing company. Despite the hope to make the company profitable the development of VDos has cost the company over 950 million in investments. With a yearly income of only 400 million this meant that the company had to loan a significant portion of their investment. Despite this large debt now apparently owed TETRA CEO Balla Dániel stated that, "We think that VDos is a OS System thats easy to use, user friendly, fast and powerfull. A system that can be installed on almost every Personal computer and run smoothly. We are not worried and think that this product will certainly appeal to a large audience and earn its investment back."

TETRA hopes to sell around 1 million copies of their VDos OS by the end of the year, amounting to around 60 million in revenue. They hope that the OS will gradually, "Slip into the system" and become widely used over the next couple of years. While early reviews on VDos seem to be positive, with quick response time and a easy to use/friendly interface being especially praised, critics seem sceptical about the chances of the system to do well on the global market. The succes of VDos, if it will come at all, will have to be achieved in its early years. Something that proved to be harder for other developers in the past.

Cahtice: Deltaria does not house a major Aurorian believing populace within its borders. Only around 2 million Deltarians adhere to the Aurorian Patriarchal Church. Despite this it has become abundently clear that Deltaria, with its newfound role on the global stage, involves itself with anything that may cause instability on either the continent of Majatra or the globe. A recent situation surrounding the APC developed itself in Selucia. This situation, which directly called into question the holy principles on which any church is build, does not only threaten the sacrity of the APC but also that of the TPC. The Terran Patriarchal Church is the most prevelant church in Deltaria and the Deltarian Holy Lands are seen as the main holy site for the TPC and its followers. While several differences between the APC and TPC exist many of their traditions and ways of doing things are similar. The KDU itself, the ruling party of Deltaria, is Hosian in nature and several prominent figures in the party already expressed their outrage to what they call a "destruction of Hosianism in Selucia".

The Deltarian government does however understand the difficult situation it finds itself in. For centuries there has been a unwritten rule that seperate churches do not challenge eachother, under any circumstance. The new KDU government adhered to this principle, with several laws that forbid TPC clergymen from involving themselves in the bussiness of other churches. But with the direct attack on Hosianism it isnt only party members that feel uncomfortable. Deltarian leader Vladislav Koleno himself has stated he sees the developments in Selucia as, "Counterproductive and dangerous" and its fallout has already been slowly spilling to other nations in the region. To calm the situation down the Deltarian government has reportedly looked at several options. One of which would be a direct dialogue with the Selucian government and try to ammend their policies to stop the spread of anti hosian ideals. Such a approach would however harm the non interfference strategy of past decades and could set a dangerous precedent for future APC intervention into the TPC. Another option was containment, using Deltarian influence to contain the spread of these ideals and changes in other countries. Koleno believed this to be the right strategy and told the Foreign Minister Holub to start working.

This strategy led Deltaria to Malivia, where the anti-hosian sentements are running higher then in other countries. Holub, now familiar with Deltarian power over Malivia, reportedly approached the Malivian ambassador to Deltaria. The Imperial Directorate of Intelligence, which has a large known presence in Malivia, already brieved the government on possible government encouragement of anti hosian protests in Malivia according to sources within the Foreign Ministry. It is unclear what he told the ambassador but some speculate Deltaria has now pressured Malivia into stopping its anti-hosian policies, threatening to cut all or a significant portion of economic aid to Malivia. If this indeed did happen it worked. As reports from early in the morning state that some protestors are already leaving APC property and sites and the Malivian government has resumed talks with APC clergymen to find a solution to the growing unrest.

Another step will likely be further containment in other parts of the globe. With the recent death of the Arch-patriarch it is expected that a fierce competition between the old and the new will develop itself. Deltaria is already working behind the scenes to limit the damage of such a tense situation. Koleno and his government have repeatedly made it clear that the unrest created by this schism in the APC could be dangerous for Regional stability and thus the Deltarian economy, which is still recovering from its crisis and is dependent on a stable situation for the coming years.

Cahtice: The Ministry of War and Imperial Senate have approved a deal between the military of Endralon and the Ushalande Enginering Group. The deal, carefully constructed over the course of 2 years, would create a order for 3 new Gorshkov class frigates and 1 new Slava class cruiser to be constructed by UEG subsidiaries and delivered to the Endralon Navy. Before the construction on these ships could commence however the Ministry of War and Imperial Senate had, according to the law, the responsibility to check and either approve or dissaprove the sale of ships to Endralon. This check up lead to several changes in the deal classified as "safeguards to Deltarian technology." The end result was several clauses within the deal that bars the new ships from possesing the latest Deltarian technology. For the Gorshkov class this means a downgrade of its radar, anti submarine, anti air and anti ship systems. For the Slava-class cruiser this means a downgrade for its radar, anti submarine, anti ship and anti air systems as well with the deal also barring the supply of new Pancar-1 anti ship missiles and Silent Devil torpedos. Instead the Slava and Groshkov classes to be supplied to Endralon will be equipped with older Granite missiles and other torpedos. This final version of the deal was approved by both the Ministry of War and the Imperial Senate and construction on the four ships has already been underway since. Despite the downgrades the Ministry of War states that, "The ships will still be highly capable and more on par with the responsibilities it will be given when in Endralonian service. The downgrades merely mean that our most valuable technology will not fall in the wrong hands."

This is the first massive arms sale of Deltaria in a decade and marks the official start of more shipbuilding in the country as shipbuilding capacity increased recently due to a large construction program of the UEG. The total deal amounts to 1.1 billion with parts of it going to the Deltarian state and parts to UEG. It is expected that two ships per year will be completed, meaning that all 4 ships will be ready for their sea trials to Endralon in 2 years.

Tain'an: The Yingdalan capital. Beautifull architecture, a growing population and arguably the center of the Yingdalan economy with its lavish and diverse districts. Yesterday evening the city, normally lighted by colourfull lights throughout the night, went partially dark. The financial district, a quarter of residential areas and parts of the government quarter were hit by the outage, cutting all power in these areas and leaving them dark in the middle of the night. The Yingdalan government district got back their power rather quickly thanks to their emergency systems but for over 2 hours the other parts of the city remained dark until finally power was restored. Yingdalan authorities estimate that around 300 million was lost in revenue due to the stopping of traffic and shutting down of systems alone. Several financial companies and a data center in the city saw their servers fried, also resulting in the 300 million figure. While normally such an outage would be caused by either human error or a overload of the system the Yingdalan government and its security agencies have pointed in a very different direction, a foreign power, Deltaria.

According to the agencies they have "strong evidence" that Deltarian agencies, likely OKOB and the Imperial Directorate of Intelligence, mannually overloaded the power system by infiltrating software of the computer systems in the power stations. This was done over the course of several months until they finally succeeded in doing so and managed to cause the outage and subsequent damage. According to Yingdalan representatives Deltaria has, "Been actively attempting to infiltrate computer, software and internet systems of the Yingdalan government and its affiliated agencies. It has been doing so for several years now and intensified after their OKOB agency was formed. The reason we come forward now is that it does not merely affect sensitive information anymore but directly puts into danger our civilian population." Around 4 died during the outage, all crashing in traffic.

Reporters from multiple international newspapers have reported on Deltarian cyber warfare for several years now. Since the formation of OKOB and the ascendance of Koleno to power Deltarian cyber attacks have reportedly increased by over 60%. Most notably there have been reports of Deltarian hackers trying to penetrate mainly Yingdalan security systems, either compromising them to pull off an attack like the outage or steal classified information normally only suitable for Yingdalan government eyes. Furthermore suprising election wins in Davostan and Vascania have raised suspicions that Deltaria is actively influencing other nations in order to further its own agenda, something the government in Cahtice has firmly denied and is still denying after the outage in Tai'nan. Security experts state that they expect Deltarian agencies and their hackers to continue attacks like these, "Deltaria's strategy here is mainly to sow distrust and a certain fear, they dont necessarily want anything direct out of it. Doing damages or aquiring sensitive information is a second prize. Their main prize is showing others Deltarian influence doesnt merely translate to economics or military matters."

It is unclear what the Tain'an government is to do about alledged Deltarian cyber attacks but fears of the weaknesses in Yingdalan infrastructure and security systems has sparked debate in the country.

Cahtice: The Imperial Navy has officially announced the first two of the Racek-class (Seagull-class) nuclear attack submarines have entered their sea trials to be conducted over the next few weeks. The new class, derived from the Trigunian Yasen-class, contains several improvements over its Trigunian counterpart, mainly involving modernizations on its major systems, replacing or supplementing them with Deltarian designed systems. One such improvement is the introduction of the Silent Devil torpedos to replace the older torpedos on the design amongst a variety of other imporvements. The new Racek-class also houses extensive space for cruise missiles to be used for land strikes and is, according to early reports, significantly less loud then the Darali-class in Deltarian service. Overall the new Racek-class is a significant step forward if compared to the Darali-class. Despite its improvements the Darali-class will continue to be used by the Imperial Navy, citing that the class is still highly capable especially its newly modernized versions.

The two currently completed Racek-class submarines have entered their sea trials and are expected to complete them by the end of the year. The BND and UEG have released reports of 5 other submarines of the class currently being under construction which are scheduled to be completed within the next 3 years, the remaining order of 2 submarines will then be processed, likely resulting in a final 10 Racek-class submarines to be completed within the next 5 years. The Imperial Navy has stated it is "happy" with additions to the submersible fleet which will make the total number of submarines 20. All submarines in the fleet will be nuclear powered, meaning they can be easily deployed around the world and are only reliant on food and equipment/ammunition ressuplies. Imperial Navy strategy already dictates that the Imperial Strike Group is the primary foward deployable asset of the navy with its remaining submarine fleet designated as another primary method of quick deployment.

Kivonia: For the first time since his 10 year period as First Minister Vladislav Koleno has visited a foreign nation. Koleno, who is normally keen on dividing tasks within his loyal cabinet, decided to visit the nation of Davostan last week as the nation is rebuilding from its devastating conflict against Telamon and Hutori. Davostan, much like Deltaria around a century ago, was invaded by foreign powers after trying to consolidate their hold as a regional power. Koleno now sees Davostan as a potential ally in the northern regions and thus believed it would be best to personally visit the nation. For two days he was in Davostan, arriving on the recently reconstructed Kivonia international airport he was escorted by motorcade to several sites in the city, from burned out ruins to newly constructed buildings the First Minister and his Davostani counterpart finally met at the office of chairman Wall-Enberg to discuss state matters. For two hours the two were in private discussions. After these two hours they came outside and held a join press conference stating that, "We have discussed a wide variety of matters from state security to international affairs and trade relations. I believe that this visit and hopefully the many after this will bring our nations closer together and ensure that both our nations can benefit from such a relationship." According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs the two leaders also signed intentions on new trade deals and a possible direct diplomatic channel between the government's of Deltaria and Davostan. This trade deal presumably includes the sale of weaponry and ammunition to Davostan as well as easier free trade between several sectors of the two nations.

The second day of the state visit included Koleno spending time in the war museum of Kivonia and meeting several war veterans as well as the Deltarian leader attending a military parade in the capital. This state visit is a significant step for especially Davostan, who is likely to gain a important ally on the international stage. Several media outlets in Davostan have already noted chairman Wall-Enberg's affection towards Deltaria and had been speculating on a state visit like this for some time. It is expected that the parliaments of both sides will ratify the agreed upon deals in the coming months. With Davostan coming closer to Deltaria both sides are likely to see a variety of economic and diplomatic advantages due to this newfound relationship.

Ȝeomorceaster: Doron Akigan Prime Minister Godric Bryan of the Doron Akigan Independence Party was arrested early this morning by a force of Imperial Police and CUVO agents. The arrest took place at his private residence where Imperial Police and CUVO surrounded his residence but peacefully managed to arrest the Prime Minister. Godric his party, the Doron Akigan Independence Party, had, for the first time in over 15 years, won a election in the region again. Despite some international sources stating Deltaria as a "hybrid regime" its Duchies still mostly govern themselves, with regional elections often classified as fair. This may change however. The DAIP won the regional election with a more then 50 seat majority, defeating the coalition of the Doron Akigan Socialist League and several smaller centrist parties. DAIP is known for its anti Deltarian pro independence stance and has, according to state sources, been under close observation by the state security agencies such as OKOB and the CUVO. After the DAIP its win it already became clear their period of power would be hard if not shortlived. During the formation of a regional cabinet federal agencies such as the Imperial Police and other monitoring agencies hindered the formations, routinely arresting DAIP politicians and cabinet candidates as well as, on several occasions, directly interfering in the process by national government laws to limit Doron Akigan powers. DAIP, during their election campaign, had continued on the rhetoric they are known for. This rhetoric included calls for independence from Cahtice and the removal of Federal agencies and security authorities from the region. When the cabinet of DAIP was finally formed just two weeks ago their new Prime Minister Godric Bryan began to work on his agenda. A motion passed the Ducal Parliament in Doron Akigo to remove all Federal military, civilian police and agency assets in the region and hand policing control over to regional police. Koleno was already known to have a unfavourable opinion towards Godric and the DAIP, seeing them as a threat to Deltarian stability.

When the motion passed Koleno put a halt to what he called, "The destabilization of the Deltarian state." In a series of directives and Senate proposals he increased federal police presence in Doron Akigo by opening 50 new Imperial Police stations accross the region and opening a total of 10 new Federal prisons on Doron Akigan lands. The Imperial Senate enacted laws that curtailed "destabilizing factors" within Deltaria from gaining much influence, allowing the Imperial Police and CUVO to arrest over 200 DAIP members and high ranking officials as well as disbanding 4 city councils controlled by DAIP which are now under control of interim councils mostly seated by the KDU or DASL. The Doron Akigan government tried to push back, ordering the arrest of several Daralians in Doron Akigo. However after several days they were forced to release the Daralians under the threat that Imperial Police would be handed jurisdiction over the prisons they were in. Now, two weeks since the start of what is now called the "Second Struggle" the Doron Akigan Prime Minister Godric Bryan has been arrested by Imperial Police and CUVO agents on charges of corruption and treason.

Unrest on the streets are notable with several hundred protestors now demanding the PM his release. On Doron Akigan social media the DAIP and PM have been called "Revolutionary Hero's" fighting for a autonomous and strong Doron Akigo. Shortly after social media were blocked by a directive from the First Minister. Doron Akigan duke Sigor has reportedly condemned the actions of the national government and appealled to the Czarina for aid on the national stage. The Czarina has apparently not responded to his requests. First Minister Koleno also hasnt publicly responded and has only given out a small statement saying that, "Corruption reigned supreme in the Doron Akigan government, we have taken actions to rid the regional government of corruption and look forward to Duke Sigor disbanding parliament and calling new elections."

it is clear the Koleno government is putting pressure on Sigor to call for new elections, with the Imperial Government likely using all means at their disposal to make some of their loyalists win. It is unclear if Sigor plans to indeed disband parliament. With unrest amongst Doron Akigan citizens growing and the political crisis developing the tense state of the situation makes many wonder how it will turn out.
